2015 Posaidon Mercedes-AMG GT Front and Side ViewPosaidon has just released not one but two incredible tunings of Mercedes C63 AMG and AMG GT models. There is one common thing about those two and it is that they are powered by the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. The difference is in the nature of their lubrication. Precisely, the AMG GT has dry sump lubrication, while the other car utilizes a conventional wet sump system. Well, there is another thing in common and this is the direct re-programming delivered by Posaidon.

The standard output of the two-seater is 462 hp (340 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque, while its more powerful S version produces 510 hp (375 kW) and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft). The engine of the C-Class is mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission, while this of the AMG GT to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7G dual-clutch transmission, which explains why the torque of the latter car is lower.

Furthermore, Posaidon engineers are currently working on additional updates for the M177 and M178 engines. For their improvement they will use new turbochargers, free-flow exhaust systems and other hardware changes. • Mercedes-AMG GT3 Racer is Fully Revealed!

After we had a glimpse of what the Mercedes-AMG GT3 car would look like, now it is time to have a full view on it. In addition, there is some impressive data regarding its specifications. Although the famous carmaker has revealed only four pictures of the motorsports-beast we are extremely satisfied that the veil has been finally lifted. So, take a look at the gallery and tell us what you think.

The 2015 motorsport season starts in March, not literally of course, but with the start of the Geneva Motor Show, and this is where we are going to hear the V8 engine of the AMG GT3 roaring.

The car has all the necessary characteristics of a FIA GT3 racer, thus it will be eligible to compete in the race series. Spectacular design is what we can see from the photos, but what Mercedes ain’t telling us is the cutting-edge racing technology imbued in it.

Going straight to these facts, the 2015 GT3 car is based on the Mercedes-AMG GT. This means that both models have similar characteristics like the low centre of gravity, the perfectly distributed weight and wide track width. As a matter of fact, this layout is the reason of the precise cornering as well as the high lateral acceleration, exceptional agility and traction.

The design of the car is classy: the body is painted in matt designo selenite grey mango, while the large air intakes, diffuser and the rear aerofoil speak of extreme track performance. The vehicle is constructed with lightweight aluminium spaceframe, thus ensuring less weight and more aerodynamism.

Inside, the driver is protected via the carbon-fibre seat pan and the integral roll-over cage. For the purpose of weight savings the engine cover, doors, front wing, front and rear aprons, sidewalls, side skirts, diffuser, boot lid and rear aerofoil are all made from carbon-fibre.

The horsepower comes from the AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine that is coupled with a six-speed sequential racing gearbox. The transmission is mounted in a transaxle configuration on the rear axle, which actually results in the perfect weight distribution. What’s left to be mentioned is the aluminium double-wishbone suspension.

The GT3 has gone through extensive testing and the company is saying that it will ship the racer to the customer teams at the end of this year.

  • Take First Look at the Mercedes-AMG GT3!

Mercedes-AMG GT3 has been finally revealed! Although the company has uploaded only one image of the awaited car on its social network, we think that it is enough to soothe the emotions ahead of the “full debut”. Next to the picture, Mercedes announced that the new AMG Customer Sport race car complies with every single FIA GT3 race regulation. For the design and creation of this extreme vehicle, the technicians and designers have used the road-going AMG GT. This is the perfect basis for a superb racetrack performance machine, isn’t it?

As we already know, the GT3 car will make its world premiere in eleven days at the Geneva Auto Saloon. As a matter of fact, at the event the model will be introduced as a replacement of the SLS AMG GT3 that was stopped from production last year.

We can clearly see from the darkened photograph that the model has extremely purposeful and wide body. The front end of the car definitely looks modified and if you are a fan of Mercedes, then you will notice that it features larger radiator grille, redesigned bumper with new gills as well as lower mesh grille.

What we also received as information about this “beasty” car is that it will undergo extensive testing accompanied by a development period after its debut in Geneva. At last, we had hopes to see the car in action sooner, but it is already official that it will hit track next year, participating in the FIA GT3 Championship season.

  • Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S Shows its Versatile Character in Berlin

Minutes ago Mercedes-Benz has released several interesting pictures of the AMG GT S take in Berlin. We really fell in love with them and this is why we had to share it. The Mercedes-AMG GT S has a very versatile character, says the company. Why? Simply because it can speed through chicanes on the Nürburgring or splash through puddles on the graffitied streets of Berlin (just like in this photoshoot). In both cases it performs flawlessly.

The photos are splendid and show vehicle’s extreme posture and charming looks. It suggests powerful presence and full of speed driving experience. The good news is that we don’t have to wait much longer than a couple of months, because the GT S and GT S Edition 1 variants are going to make their European market launch.

Both cars are driven by the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine which produces more than enough power. We are speaking of 510 hp (375 kW) at 6,250 rpm and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque between 1,750 and 4,750 rpm.

And if you wonder about the acceleration time, then we won’t keep it secret. These horses enable the GT S to accelerate to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. The top speed here is of 193 mph. Despite this amount of force, the car is returning exceptional fuel consumption of 9.3-9.6 l per 100km, while the CO2 emissions have been rated at 216-224 g/km.

GT S comes with huge 20 inch rear wheels, behind which we see red brake calipers clamping enlarged discs and there is also electronically-controlled rear differential. What also needs to be mentioned is theAMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with three different modes. Enjoy the colorful pictures of this solarbeam Mercedes-AMG GT S.

  • B&B Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG is Capable of up to 450 HP/580 Nm

Mercedes CLA 45 AMG has received a B&B three-stage performance upgrade program. The result is substantial power increase from the standard 360 hp (265 kW) to 450 hp (331 kW) and a peak torque boost from 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) to 580 Nm (428 lb-ft). The first update for the CLA 45 AMG starts with a Stage 1 ECU remapping and includes revised fuel, ignition and turbo boost curves. In this stage the power and torque are raised to 400 hp (294 kW) and 510 Nm (376 lb-ft).

Stage 2 steps on the first one, adds air intake system with improved ram effect, and the B&B exhaust downpipe for reduced exhaust back-pressure and exhaust gas temperature. The ECU mapping is optimized, thus making this Mercedes capable of 425 hp (313 kW) and 540 Nm (399 lb-ft) of torque.

The ultimate conversion stage is the third one. It is centered on a bespoke turbocharger, enhanced cold air intake system and exhaust downpipe from Stage. There is also a bespoke ECU mapping which suits the new hardware. As a result we get 450 hp (331 kW) with 580 Nm (428 lb-ft) of torque.

In this tuned CLA 45 AMG jointed Racing Motor’s “World’s Fastest Sedan”, it would probably beat the Dodge. The stopwatch would witnesses a 0-100 km/h sprint in spectacular 3.8 seconds (instead of standard 4.6 seconds). The 0-200 km/h time is reduced from 17.1 to 14.3 seconds.

B&B also removed the 250 km/h top speed limiter. Thus, Stage 3 allows 296 km/h, and together with the improved sprinting ability, gives the luxury supercar performance without compromising.

B&B also added a high-efficiency oil cooling system, which uses the factory temperature thermostat and keeps engine’s life by giving lubricant from overheating in hard driving conditions. In addition, B&B exhaust downpipe sits between the turbocharger and exhaust system. It helps reduce backpressure and exhaust gas temperature, thus making it easing thermal stress on the engine, releasing an additional 15 kW/20 hp with no other modifications.

The cars stance and handling are lowered via the use of B&B sport spring set, which lowers the ride height by 30 and 25 mm at the front and rear respectively. On the other hand, the coil-over suspension kit for the CLA 45 AMG, allows the cars ride height and damper bounce and rebound to be set independently for road or track driving.

At last B&B needed something to balance the increased performance. They added a six-piston high performance brake system and B&B 8.5Jx20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 235/30ZR20 tyres.

  • G-Power has Christmas Present for Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG

The tuners at G-Power have always focused on the sportiest car versions. Their latest tuning is an example fort this, being a Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG. Its mighty 5.5 litres V8 biturbo motor, was boosted via Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power module thanks to which the car now achieves unimaginable horsepower. The module records the information measured and submitted by the vehicle sensors before they reach the serial controller.

Then, the read-in data are changed by the microprocessor of the Bi-Tronik 5 and later submitted to the serial controller. The latter is to determine the parameters responsible for the output.

To get to the point, the serial 585 horsepower (430 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) were boosted to 705 hp (518 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft). After the power therapy, the acceleration time for the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is 3.8 seconds, with a Vmax positioned at 330 km/h.

The technicians at the tuning company have also considered the compatibility of the motor hardware in their power upgrade. In other words, this means that in the external Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power module, all protection and diagnosis functions are kept.

To manage this power on the streets, the Mercedes needed new shoes. G-Power decided to give it 21-inch HURRICANE RR forged wheels fitted with 265/30R21 and 295/30R21 Michelin tyres for the front and rear respectively.  They have exclusive double-spoke design and perfectly accent the rest of the body.
