Volkswagen Has Great Gifts for the Polo, Golf GT and R-Line, and Passat Models

Volkswagen Golf GT Edition Side View Volkswagen has released generously-equipped Polo Match model, which comes to replace the famous SE trim. In addition the high-spec Golf GT Edition and R-Line Edition replace the GT and R-Line trims, while the new Passat SE Business comes to offer more functional upgrades including the Discover Navigation. Here are the details.

The car adds extra style and function. As mentioned it comes on the place of the popular SE trim and will be offered in three- and five-door body styles, wide range of engine and transmission options, as well as added extra equipment.

The standard features here include cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, front fog lights with static cornering function, tinted rear windows and new 15-inch Stratford alloy wheels. Note that we have no pictures of the Polo Match, and the one above is depicting the Golf GT Edition.

The next huge changes involve the iconic Volkswagen Golf VII, which now has brand new Golf GT Edition and Golf R-Line Edition. On the other hand, the Golf R-Line Edition also rides on larger 18-inch Serron alloys wheels and gets a panoramic sunroof.

Volkswagens also debuts the Passat SE Business trim, which boosts the appeal of the multi-award-winning Passat and Passat Estate. The standard equipment added here includes Discover Navigation, front fog lights, electric folding door mirrors and tinted rear windows.

Volkswagen Polo Match has a starting price of £12,735; the Golf GT Edition is priced at £23,915, while the Golf R-Line Edition can be order from £24,860. The cars are set to arrive at showrooms in early 2016.

Volkswagen Allstar Special Editions Celebrate 2016 UEFA

Volkswagen Allstar Special Editions - The "Soccer" Team Volkswagen has just released a very cool new range of special editions called Allstar. It is inspired by football and comes to celebrate the 2016 UEFA European Championship. Unfortunately, the cars were introduced to Germany only, despite that the beautiful images show a photo-session in Paris. And there are still no details, whether these cars will be offered in other European countries. Nevertheless, I’m sure that soccer fans will enjoy the efforts of Volkswagen. Here are the details.

Just like a real football team, there are exactly eleven model variants included in the Allstar editions lineup. These include the following (in alphabetical order): Beetle, Beetle Cabriolet, Golf, Golf Sportsvan, Golf Variant, Golf Cabriolet, Jetta, Polo, Scirocco and Sharan. All of them will carry a special “Allstar” badge on their B-pillars, which will signify that they differentiate from the others.

The additional details on these special editions include several styling changes as well as some aided interior comfortability. On the outside the cars received fog lights and “Linas”-style alloy wheels. We have already mentioned the Allstar badging on the B-pillars…

Volkswagen Teases a Mysterious Electric Vehicle Ahead of CES Debut

Volkswagen CES EV Debut Volkswagen has just released a mysterious teaser image of what seems to be a big in size vehicle, which will be introduced at next month’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The event will take place from 6^th till 9^th of January in Las Vegas. The new concept will be entirely new and unseen so far and will illustrate the major changes that Volkswagen is going to set through the next few years.

The details revealed are scarce, but what the company said is that the world premiere will mark the beginning of a new era of affordable long-distance electro-mobility. Should Tesla fear? We doubt so. Anyway, at the event the new vehicle will show the advantages to the customer that VW will be able to deliver in the near future. They will be due to the “increasing interconnectedness of the motor car”, whatever that comes to signify.

The visitors of the show in Las Vegas will be also able to see new operating concepts, which will be also making a debut there. As an example, Volkswagen will give quite a clear glimpse of the latest developments in in-car infotainment system, which is going to be launched onto the market very soon. Golf R Touch concept will also be finding its way into Volkswagen’s broad product portfolio.

What does the teaser image say? There isn’t a second opinion that the car will light its way via LED headlights. What we also see is a LED grille and logo up front. Since there are LED DRLs as well, we can also suspect that the rear will too receive a LED treatment.

Other details about the show reveal that Dr. Herbert Diess, the Chairman of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand, will be a speaker on the evening before the show opens its doors. He will discus the latest developments in electro-mobility and the next generation of connectivity, we spoke about.

Volkswagen Expands Scirocco Lineup With Two Special Edition Models

2016 Volkswagen Scirocco Special Edition Volkswagen’s “kerb appeal” of the incredible new Scirocco sports coupe has caught audience’s eye since its release. And there is no other way: with its distinctive exterior appearance and massive, wide and low stance, this third-gen model really deserves its attention. And now Volkswagen team boosts Scirocco’s desirability with two special editions that add extra styling features and enhanced performance rates.

The two additions to Scirocco’s lineup are indeed the Black Edition models: the GT Black Edition and R-Line Black Edition that offer painted alloy wheels, black painted contrast roof, door mirrors and rear spoiler and tinted rear windows. These additions, along with the exclusive ones for every model significantly empower the rich visual appeal of the sexy-looking coupe.

Scirosso GT Black Edition comes with 18-inch Black Lisbon alloy wheels, while the R-Line proudly demonstrates 19-inch Black Lugano alloys. Other styling highlights include special LED tail light design, front bumper with aerodynamic blades, while the inside benefits from a dashboard with stylish instrument panel above the central console and spacious and comfortable ambience.

The new GT and R-Line editions can be geared with the petrol 1.4-liter 125hp (91kW) or the 2.0-liter 180hp (132kW) units, while the diesel engines are 2.0-liter that offer either 150hp (110kW) or 184hp (135kW) of power output. The 1.4-liter TSI unit comes with a six-speed manual gearbox, while all other combinations are geared with the standard six-speed manual transmission or the optional six-speed DSG gearbox.

Furthermore, the standard equipment includes Composition Media System with 6.5-inch color touch screen, Bluetooth telephone and audio connection, DAB digital radio receiver, MDI via USB connection, automatic headlights and wipers, auto-dimming rear view mirror, height-adjustable sports seats and multifunctional steering wheel.

And the top of the range Scirocco R models add and a bit of sporty and luxury features and components. For example, the Dynamic Chassis Control, Special R sports suspension lowering, Bi-xenon headlights, automatic range adjustment, static cornering function and headlight washers.

Volkswagen Beetle Denim: More Attractive than the Dune?

Volkswagen Beetle Denim Exterior Volkswagen Beetle Denim is here to pay tribute to the legendary Beetle Jeans model from the 70s. The car has just been launched in the United States with the aim to offer a modern take on the model. Since it is a special edition, it is logical that it will be produced in a limited run. Precisely, its exclusive design elements have been added to the 2,000 production units.

Under the hood, the famous Bug hides 1.8-liter turbocharged and direct-injection TSI engine. It is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, helping the car generate no less than 170 horsepower (125 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque.

Exterior

Just like any other Beetle, this one has the characteristic stance with the iconic posture and reminiscence of not-forgotten past. This limited edition will be offered in two exterior colors, including Pure White or Stonewashed Blue. The latter is featured in our gallery below. Volkswagen said that the production run will be split equally between the two colors, meaning that each will have 1000 numbers.

It is inevitable to see that the convertible top has been finished in Dark Blue. But what amazes is that the fabric for the top seems exactly like denim jeans. Don’t worry; this is a brand new textured fabric that just resembles denim.

2016 Volkswagen Dune Is Here!

2016 Volkswagen Beetle Dune Volkswagen of America, Inc announced the production version of the 2016 Beetle Dune that will go on sale early in 2016. Influenced by the classic Baja Bugs, the automobile will join the Beetle team with additional trim levels and numerous additions.

What is most noticeable about the latest Dune is the refined sporty look, the new front bumpers and the additional central air intaker. There is also a black honeycomb screen with aluminum-look surrounds that morphs into the front skid plate. Furthermore, on both sides of the intake, there are two black honeycomb vents that contain the fog lights. And with the additional Lightning Package brings Bi-Xenon headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights and LED license plate lighting. Cool, right?

The sides of the 2016 Dune are characterized by polished aluminum sills and distinctive 18-inch Canyon aluminum-alloy wheels. There are special Dune graphics that are displayed on both doors, while the back proudly demonstrates large spoiler, standard LED taillights and special bumper design.

The 2016 Beetle Dune is available with a total of three exterior finishes: Sandstorm Yellow, Pure White and Deep Black Parl. The Sandstorm Yellow further offers body colored upper door trims and dashboards, while the other two exterior finished will come with black door and dashpad trim.

The interior of the 2016 Dune offers sporty seats with contrasting orange stitching and leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel. The standard equipment offers the latest generation MIB II infotainment system, while the VW Car-Net connectivity ensures flawless App-Connect connectivity. The vehicle also comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink systems.

The cabin also offers the aid of a 6,3-inch screen with touch sensors and can read hand gestures. At the same time MIB II offers a special proximity sensor that detects when a hand is nearby and automatically switches its display to allow easier selection of specific features. Volkswagen Reveals the Limited Amarok Atacama Edition

Volkswagen Amarok Atacama Limited Edition has just been unveiled and there are two sad news about it. First, this is the only picture that Volkswagen has released and secondly, this particular model will be distributed strictly across the United Kingdom.

One of the main identifying features of the new Amarok Atacama is its front, which has been modified and received brand new bi-xenon headlights and additional chrome elements to its grille. We also see the prominent LED daytime running lights and huge 19-inch alloy wheels fitted with 255/55 tyres. The special lettering identifies the Atacama grade.

Amarok is definitely a vehicle which works perfectly on- and off-road. One of the reasons for this is the 4MOTION four-wheel drive. By the way, the AWD is available in all three standard specifications: Startline, Trendline and Highline.

While the Amarok Trendline is powered by the 140PS 2.0-litre TDI engine, Volkswagen’s high-specification desert inspired limited edition, Amarok Atacama, comes with the stronger 180PS 2.0-litre BiTDI diesel unit. And it is also packed with a lot of stylish components and functional upgrades.

The interior for instance is equipped with heated front seats, ‘RNS 315’ navigation system with mobile phone preparation, Alcantara upholstery and special cut-pile floor mats. The Super Bug or How KBR Motorsport and SEK-Carhifi Made the Most Inspiring Volkswagen Beetle

KBR Motorsport & SEK-Carhifi Volkswagen Beetle Front and Side View KBR Motorsport and SEK-Carhifi has gathered together to create the most inspiring Volkswagen Beetle we have seen so far. It is not coincidental that they also call it the ‘Super Bug’. A lot of modifications have been happening here and we can’t wait to tell you all about them. What you have to know in the beginning is that the KBR Motorsport took care of the classic tuning of the Beetle, while the SEK Carhifi team installed a custom high-end sound system using Ground Zero and Pioneer components.

KBR Motorsport’s Classic Tuning

The first thing that the experts had to do was to install big round wheel arches with huge wheels to fill them out. Therefore they chose 9.5J x 20-inch Oxigin 14 Oxrock multi-spoke alloy wheels in black finish with white foil, and then they have shod them with 235/30ZR20 Hankook Ventus S1 Evo tyres.

Furthermore, the Beetle also received better red front brakes and four-pot alloy brake calipers that clamp vented discs with surface grooves. The rear brakes are standard. They have been only painted in red to match the front ones. H&R coil-over suspension kit lowered the car further.

Under the hood of the VW, sits the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It was fitted with a turbo-back three-inch diameter stainless steel sports exhaust to reduce back-pressure, before remapping the ECU. Thanks to the engine dyno, it now shows 265 hp (195 kW) and 415 Nm (306 lb-ft) of torque.

KBR Motorsport did also another thing, this time regarding the interior. They have replaced the factory front seats with figure-hugging Recaro Sportster CS sports seats whose backs are color-coded white to match the car’s bodywork and interior trim panels.

SEK Carhifi and the Custom Audio Installation

The sound system delivered and installed by the experts at SEK Carhifi is more than spectacular. The 1,700 W sound system is actually Pioneer’s dashboard mounted flagship AVIC-F77DAB Navigation/AV head-unit, which feeds its audio signals to the three power amplifiers via a Ground Zero GZCS 6-8DSP eight-channel DSP unit housed in the passenger footwell.

The 6.5-inch mid-bass units replace the OE speakers in the door panels. Alubutyl dampening has been applied to the latter in order to eliminate any spurious resonances. Moreover, opening the rear hatch reveals that the luggage compartment which now houses 10-inch diameter Ground Zero GZPW 10SPL subwoofer. Its power comes from a single 600 W GNZA 1.2250XII monoblock amplifier mounted under the boot floor.

Volkswagen Details 2016 Passat Pricing, Starting At $22,440 USD

2016 Volkswagen Passats Front and Rear View 2016 Volkswagen Passat has been revealed last month and showed new exterior and interior styling, various connectivity and driver assistance features. Almost one month after the premiere, Volkswagen is ready to announce the highly anticipated pricing of the latest Passat. The good news is it is the same as the outgoing base model, precisely – $22,440 USD.

Hey Passat, What’s New?

In the beginning the lineup will feature only two engine options: the 1.8-liter TSI turbocharged direct-injection four cylinder engine and the 3.6-liter VR6. The first one produces up to 170 horsepower (125 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. Although Volkswagen did not say anything about the CO2 emissions, they stated that the estimated highway fuel economy is lower with 2 mpg and it is 38 mpg. The 3.6-liter VR6 unit produces 280 horsepower (206 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque.

Absolutely new for 2016 Passat is VW’s “modular infotainment platform” (MIB II), which features a lot of goodies like the touchscreens that is standard on all models. Some of the models have a display, which uses capacitive touch sensor, enabling gesture controls, proximity sensor, USB and Bluetooth connectivity.

In terms of safety features there are also some new additions like the Automatic Post-Collision Braking System, while the advanced driver assistance systems include (depending on the trim level) Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC); Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking (Front Assist); Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert; Active Blind Spot Monitor with corrective steering; Lane Departure Warning (Lane Assist), Parking Steering Assistant (Park Assist). The rearview camera is standard equipment.

2016 Volkswagen Passat 1.8T S

2016 Volkswagen Passat S model comes equipped with the 1.8T engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. It is the one you can acquire at a starting price of $22,440. It is available at $775. On the other hand, the R-Line Lighting Package is priced $1,095 and includes LED headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), and LED taillights.

The SE trim level has a price tag of $26,280. It features 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels; tilt-and-slide power sunroof; SiriusXM Satellite Radio with 3-month trial period; second USB port in the rear of the center console; MIB II Composition Media with 6.3-inch color display, voice control, and VW Car-Net App-Connect and Security & Service features; Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC); Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking (Front Assist); V-Tex leatherette seating surfaces; power driver seat; and heatable front seats. Here, the Lighting Package comes a littlee bit more costly than the previous, although it includes the same goodies, and it is $1,245.

This trimline is priced at $30,495, while the Lighting Package costs the same as the previous.

At the top of the 1.8T range, sits the SEL Premium and it can be bought for $34,270. It can show-off with standard LED headlights with LED DRLs and LED taillights, remote start, and even more driver assistance features like the Lane Departure Warning (Lane Assist) with active steering; Active Blind Spot Monitor; front and rear Park Distance Control (Park Pilot); and Parking Steering Assistant (Park Assist).

At the top of the range of Passat’s lineup is the V6 SEL Premium, which is the only one powered by the 3.6-liter VR6 engine with six-speed DSG automatic transmission and paddle shifters. This particular model has a starting price of $36,835 and adds dual trapezoidal chrome exhaust tips, and Hill Hold Control to the 1.8T SEL Premium’s long list of features.

But one of the best ways to celebrate the anniversary is to make a more powerful and better looking variant of the latest edition of the Polo. At least, this is ABT Sportsline’s opinion on the matter.

The New Generation

New Generation is actually the name of the performance upgrades, based upon a specially developed control unit and created by the tuner. They allow the Polo V to pump out more than 230 hp (169 kW) from its 1.8 TSI engine. Just for a comparison, the serial number of the drivetrain is 192 hp (141 kW).
