  • Take a Look at the Future Sandero RS by Renault [VIDEO]

Renault Teases Sandero Sandero is usually associated with Dacia brand and rarely with Renault. However, the latter company is obviously expanding its market territory to the more exotic countries like these in South America. The proof for this is the attached video teaser, which has just been released by Renault and which comes to promote the new Sandero. Curious about it is that it is an RS version of the popular car.

Yes, this means that it will be developed by Renaultsport and judging by the name it has, it will most probably be released in a Dacia-production variant, too. We can’t see a lot from the video, except for Renault’s logo and camouflage wrapping.

Oh, and did you notice the front bumper that shows a totally new design approach. It also features front LED DRLs that adds some aggressiveness. This of course links to the thoughts that the car will have a sportier exterior in general.

In terms of drivetrain – there is nothing official up to date. However, we should expect that this vehicle will be powered by Duster’s 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine, which develops 143 horses (105 kW) or 148 hp (109 kW), depending on the fuel it uses. The first one is achieved with petrol fuel, while the second with ethanol.

Renault Sandero RS is expected to be revealed very soon, so stay tuned for more detailed information. In the meanwhile, check out the video teaser:

Fuel economy can be improved by up to 10 per cent by using the Renault Driving eco2 feature. It is incorporated within the R & GO or R-Link connectivity systems and alters the throttle mapping and air conditioning power. As a standard, this Twingo trim will also get Variable Gear Ratio steering.

2015 Renault Twingo Dynamique S is offered in the following exterior colors: Crystal White, Diamond Black or Flame Red paint. The first deliveries are expected in April.

  • Renault Officially Reveals Kadjar C-Segment Crossover

2016 Renault Kadjar is here! After extensive ad campaign, the new C-segment crossover has been fully revealed. This is Captur’s big brother which is set to deliver excellent fuel efficiency and emissions. The car will be distributed in Europe and in many African and Mediterranean Basin countries, followed by China. Kadjar stands out through its athletic exterior styling and both sporty and refined interior.

The vehicle will be offered on either four- or two-wheel-drive, and will encourage adventure while at the same time delivering easy manoeuvrability in town thanks to its compact footprint. Precisely, it is 4.45 metres long and 1.84 metres wide.

Thanks to its Flame Red launch colour, the Renault Kadjar brings a breath of fresh air as well as sense of seduction and inspires passion. The car shares the DNA of the Captur concept car, along with hints of the DeZir concept car. Captur emphasizes the ‘Explore’ part of Renault’s design strategy.

The front of the car is muscular and expresses strength. The chrome strip continues across the head lights and improves the visual impression of width. The athletic silhouette is continued with the wings, while the sensuous fluidity of its lines is accentuated by the finish of the doors which are flush with the sills. At the rear, the bodywork integrates the bumper. The large 690mm wheels and rims of up to 19-inches exude vehicle’s sporty nature.

Inside, the interior mirrors the refinement of the exterior lines. The instrument panel falls naturally in the driver’s line, while the horizontal lines of the dashboard design highlight the width of the cabin. • Two Video Teasers Ahead of Renault KADJAR Reveal

KADJAR is the name of the new crossover of Renault, which will be unveiled on 2nd of February live from the Cité du Cinéma (Saint Denis, France). The vehicle will be introduced by Carlos GHOSN, CEO. This is very important step in the development of the brand, since the car is expected to be a best-seller and attract new customers. There is literally no information released about it, except for two videos and an image which show its adventurous and outdoorsy spirit.

The upcoming crossover will be probably based on the second generation Nissan Qashqai platform and we expect that they will share the same engine range. Its styling cues will be probably taken from the Espace. We also want to see the KADJAR with the on-road behavior and engine range of the Quashqai.

This means that it will be probably powered by a diesel 1.6-liter DCi engine, delivering around 150 horsepower (110 kW). The strange name of the model comprises of two syllables: KAD and JAR. The first took inspiration from “quad” and shows the “go-anywhere” spirit of the crossover. The second one, JAR, stands for the French words “jaillir” and “agile”, meaning smooth agility and sudden appearance from somewhere.

In addition, the upcoming vehicle is also expected to be best-seller in Europe. Renault is actually expecting to sell 118,000 units of the Kadjar in 2016. This would position the KADJAR on the third place in the segment, being behind the Qashqai and the Tiguan.

  • Renault Kadjar – Weird Name and an Adventurous Experience

Today Renault revealed that very soon they are going to present a bran-new compact crossover with a rather odd name – “Kadjar.” The official public premiere of the new car is going to take place in March at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Sales are expected to begin this fall.

This strange name consists of two parts – KAD and JAR, obviously. The first part is inspired by “quad” and stands for the excellent off-road capabilities of the “go – anywhere four – wheeled vehicle.” JAR, on the other hand, refers to the French words “jaillir” and “agile.” They express the smooth agility of the new Renault Kadjar as well as its sudden appearance from somewhere.

With such subtle hints regarding its characteristics, the crossover seems to be designed for passionate enthusiasts who want to discover new horizons and try new terrains. The best thing is that Kadjar is believed to allow them to do it. Going into the wild and coming back to the civilization will be an adventurous experience which will be taken to another level thanks to Renault’s new model.

The automaker hasn’t announced any other details at this point but Kadjar is thought to be based on the second generation Nissan Qashqai to some extent.

Images and videos will be available on social media daily until the 2nd of February when the wraps of the Renault Kadjar will finally come off.

  • Paris Says “NO” to Diesel Engines. London Will Follow?

Air pollution in ParisThe Mayor of the French capital, Anne Hidalgo, made a statement calling for a ban on diesel cars by 2020. The main goal is to reduce the pollution of the city, since Paris’ air quality is currently one of the worst on record. She will also take other precautions such as making pedestrian-only neighborhoods in the city centre and a doubling of cycle lanes.

The Mayor was interviewed by “Journal de Dimanche” saying that this is only a plan, which would be discussed at a city council meeting on Tuesday.”I want to see the end of diesel in Paris by 2020,” said Hidalgo adding that she also plans limiting the number of the tourist buses that clog Paris streets, banning trucks and adding electric vans to the city’s car-sharing scheme.

Streets such as Champs Elysees or Rue de Rivoli, where there is a lot of traffic, could be limited to only low-emission vehicles. Since France has the highest number of diesel cars on the road in Europe, the faster pollution of big cities like Paris is no surprise. There is a serious risk for the public health and in fact statistics say that Parisians live on the average seven months less than people not exposed to the same levels of pollution. Diesel fumes include tiny particles and nitrogen oxides which are harmful to health.

Research by the World Health Organization confirmed that although diesel engines are 20 per cent more fuel-efficient than petrol ones, and therefore produce less carbon dioxide per mile, emit other pollutants which can cause health problems including cancer.

The ideas of Hidalgo have been met with hostility by the French automakers, whose diesel technologies are among the most advanced in the world. London will also follow Paris and ban diesel cars, has just been confirmed by experts. They expect that the Mayor Boris Johnson will follow the French capital and say “No!” to diesel powered cars within a decade. The most concerning fact supporting this theory is that London is the European capital which is the most polluted by nitrogen dioxide.
