  • Mercedes-AMG GT Tweaked by German Special Customs

The guys from German Special Customs (GSC) are famous for their exclusively good-looking styling programs which always know how to complement the nature of a given model. This time around they surprise us with the first renderings of the special package for the Mercedes-AMG GT. And we have to admit that it looks devastatingly awesome!

After the professional touch of the tuner, the new AMG GT bodylook embodies even more strongly underlined sporty character. And because this was not enough, there is a feel of haughty aggression that comes as a bonus! I doubt that there is a person on this planet who would say no to this.

Back to the main point now. If we cut the Mercedes-AMG GT into separate pieces, just to get the idea what exactly the car features, we will see that GSC was more than generous when working on the improvements of this sportiness on four wheels. The full body kit is comprised of reworked bumpers with a large carbon fiber front spoiler, modified side skirts with a chunkier look and a massive GT3-style rear wing. We can also see that the pack of little and not so little tweaks includes carbon roof and mirror caps and refined headlights. The black wheels with yellow lips complete the refinements of the GT.

However, German Special Customs hasn’t proposed anything yet in terms of performance. What we know for sure is that the AMG GT is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine which is capable of developing 462 PS (339 kW) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque. The Mercedes-AMG GT S, then, generates 510 PS (375 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque.

  • Mercedes F1 W06 Hybrid to be Unveiled

Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team will unveil the 2015 Formula One World Championship challenger on Sunday 1 February 2015 at the Circuito de Jerez, Spain.

The official first appearance of the next generation of Silver Arrows racing car will take part on the opening day of winter testing when the important event will be streamed live and will be distributed to the public thanks to the team’s social medial channels.

During the first two days of the test, the F1 W06 Hybrid will be driven by Nico Rosberg. After that, on day one and three, the car will be taken by Lewis Hamilton.

Toto Wolff, Head of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport says; “The workload this winter has been as great as ever. Where last year we were preparing for an all-new formula of racing, we are now faced with the big challenge of making the next step in our development. We know that we went into the winter with a target on our backs for the other teams – and we are certain that our rivals will be competitive from the opening race in Melbourne. So we have to focus on every detail if we want to build any advantage this year and that is what we have done. This is an exciting time of year as our collective efforts all come together in the new car. Everybody in Brackley, Brixworth and Stuttgart has put a great amount of effort into creating the latest Silver Arrow and I thank them for their efforts so far. We are excited to see how the car performs when it begins running.”

    Further details will follow soon.

  • See the Fashionable Side of Mercedes-Benz [VIDEO]

What is better than a Mercedes-Benz C111? Perhaps two Mercedes-Benz vehicles from the same model but Justin O’Shea would do the trick as well. Combining a flair for fashion, sexiness and more than just good-looking… cars, the automaker is introducing a film with the title “Champions of fashion” for the Fall/Winter 2015 edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin.

Dynamic, mysterious, engaging and, most of all, passionate, the video brings together performance and sensuality. We see the seductive world of fashion through the fast-paced world of cars. And vice verse.

The short video begins and there we have Justin sitting in a C111 all calm and focused, glancing into an invisible point in the distance before him. He talks and as he talks we become more and more sucked into his intense speech until it is all cut off from his sudden realization of a missing set of keys. He gets off the car and we are left with nothing else but a “fistful of wolves.” The clichés of fashion advertising are somehow broken, twisted and presented in an unconventional way. Slow motion, seriousness and dramatic tones contradicted by the acuteness of the Mercedes C111 that appears now and then just show how fashion and automotive business complement one another. At least in this video.

P.S. If O’Shea and the C111 are still not enough, well, you can also enjoy a glimpse of the most sought-after model for the time being, Dree Hemingway.

  • 2015 MEC Design Mercedes E-Class Cerberus Arrives from Hell

MEC Design has finally revealed their new wide body kit, named Cerberus, for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and Convertible. In Greek mythology, “cerverus” means a 3-headed dog that guards the entrance gates to the underworld. It is a symbol of death and endless darkness. Choosing such name, MEC Design has definitely succeeded in giving us a perception of something unusual and different.

  • Mercedes-Benz C 450 AMG with an Extra Oomph

Mercedes-Benz has presented the C450 AMG Sport in Detroit at 2015 NAIAS, promising an unmatched AMG expressiveness, typical for the brand. The new AMG sports model is available as a saloon and an estate version.

From the very first look it becomes apparent that 2016 Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG Sport indicates sufficient class, style and presence. Thew new version takes advantage of an upgraded twin-turbo V6 3.0-liter engine that delivers 362 bhp (270 kW) at 5,500 rpm and 517 Nm (382 lb-ft) of peak torque available between 2,000 rpm and 4,200 rpm.

This significant power output is transmitted to a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system through an improved 7G-TRONIC seven-speed automatic gearbox. It allows the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.9 seconds. The wagon slightly slower, by 0.1s precisely. Still, both of the vehicles have a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).

But the extra oomph is not all, because the the C450 models share some of the range-topping C63’s technical features such as: optimised pull rods and front-axle carrier mounts, firmer springs and adjustable dampers. There are also new load bearing joints, additional negative camber and tweaked steering knuckles.

For an extra pinch of individualism, the C450 AMG features 5-spoke black AMG light-alloy wheels wrapped around in 225/45 front and 245/40 rear tires. Still. attractive 48.3-cm (19-inches) light-alloy wheels in different designs are available as an option too.

Standard equipment components of the Mercedes-Benz C 450 AMG 4MATIC include: adaptive brake, Attention Assist, audio 20 USB multimedia system, Collision Prevention Assist Plus, ECO start/stop function, ISOFIX child seat attachment system and sports pedals.

On the inside, the car caries the same sporty but classy flavor thanks to the sports seats, 3-spoke nappa leather sports steering wheel with flat bottom, red seat belts, red stitching, alloy pedals and other minimal interior enhancements.

  • Mercedes-Benz F 015 Luxury in Motion: Automobile Revolution

Think of the future. Yes, that future, with huge capital F! This is what Mercedes-Benz is trying to incorporate in its latest concept car revealed at CES this week. The automotive company is seeking to encapsulate a whole set of futuristic ambitions into a car that will serve the needs of drivers on a totally different level. Level that is extracted from an environment which does not belong to our world and yet, it is somehow applicable here.

Dubbed the Mercedes Benz F 015 Luxury in Motion – frankly, the last two words are somewhat unnecessary, as if we would not be able to notice the luxury… or the motion in this mere creation from beyond – the car is really able to demonstrate… luxury… in motion. This vision for the future of motoring has the goal to present the first self-driving car which drives you to your destination while offering more than enough space for complete comfort.

The all-new body structure is crafted out of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, aluminum and high strength steel. Inside, there is a mobile living space made from open grain walnut, glass, ice white nappa leather and aluminum. The use of six screens controlled via eye-tracking, gesture recognition or touch demonstrate one highly-progressive Connectivity which really suits the unconventional nature of this car of the future.

With travelling convenience being the most cardinal concept here, Mercedes-Benz envisioned an innovative interior with variable seating system which offers four rotating lounge chairs that provide with a face-to-face seat configuration. What is more, the seats can swing by 30 degrees to allow easy ingress and egress.

Perhaps, it will be too obvious to mention but the F 015 is eco-friendly. It is said to contain the F-Cell plug-in hybrid system, firstly seen in Mercedes-Benz F 125 research vehicle in 2011, which will help the F 015 concept travel 1,100 km (684 miles) on a single charge.

It sounds like a car born out of perfection and transformed into a physical automotive excellence. Pity that it is unlikely to turn into a reality soon.

  • Prior-Design Releases New Styling Kit for Mercedes-Benz S-Class W222

This Mercedes is a true masterpiece of the tuning craftsmanship. The tuners at Prior-Design have made the appearance of the new Mercedes-Benz-S-Class series even more dominant and elegant, and sportier! They have developed an exclusive body kit dubbed PD800S for the flagship model. As a matter of fact, this conversion will probably lift the company onto the elitist Mount Olympus of the Mercedes tuners.

Starting with the front of the model, it features an entirely new bumper with powerful air inlets and a front spoiler lip. Both were made of carbon. We also see LED daylight driving lights and carbon air outlets attached to the front mudguards.

At the sides, a set of carbon fiber side sills connects the front and rear. While the back of the vehicle features new carbon rear apron as well as rear flap spoiler made of the same material. To make the design even more harmonious, the tuners gifted the Mercedes new shoes to run with.

The new exterior design is supported via brand new redesigned interior. Every square centimetre of the cabin was wrapped with a mix of crocodile leather, alcantara and quilted nappa leather. These materials have been combined with refined root wood pattern, which is a little reminiscent of the comfort of an American cigar lounge.

Perfection to the last detail is the motto of the designers. This means that even the boot was made better. The boot was wrapped in crocodile and smooth leather, while the lid of it – was coated in leather from the inside.

  • G-Power has Christmas Present for Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG

The tuners at G-Power have always focused on the sportiest car versions. Their latest tuning is an example fort this, being a Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG. Its mighty 5.5 litres V8 biturbo motor, was boosted via Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power module thanks to which the car now achieves unimaginable horsepower. The module records the information measured and submitted by the vehicle sensors before they reach the serial controller.

Then, the read-in data are changed by the microprocessor of the Bi-Tronik 5 and later submitted to the serial controller. The latter is to determine the parameters responsible for the output.

To get to the point, the serial 585 horsepower (430 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) were boosted to 705 hp (518 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft). After the power therapy, the acceleration time for the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is 3.8 seconds, with a Vmax positioned at 330 km/h.

The technicians at the tuning company have also considered the compatibility of the motor hardware in their power upgrade. In other words, this means that in the external Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power module, all protection and diagnosis functions are kept.

To manage this power on the streets, the Mercedes needed new shoes. G-Power decided to give it 21-inch HURRICANE RR forged wheels fitted with 265/30R21 and 295/30R21 Michelin tyres for the front and rear respectively.  They have exclusive double-spoke design and perfectly accent the rest of the body.

  • RevoZport Releases Aero-Boost for CLA Shooting Brake

Fantastic news from RevoZport! The tuning company is continuing its success on the Mercedes-Benz A- and CLA-Class with the introduction of new package specifically developed for the CLA Shooting Brake that has been released recently. The packages will be called RZA-290 and RZA-450 just like those for the A and CLA models. The only difference is in the size of the vehicles.

First, the RZA-290 package was catered for the CLA 250 and CLA 200 models with AMG bodykit. There is an engine upgrade included, which improves the standard horsepower coming from the powerplant to 290 hp (213 kW).

Next, the RZA-450 is based on the AMG CLA 45 and includes an engine upgrade to 450 hp (330 kW). This improvement in horsepower was achieved with the help of ECU remapping, the new intake system, down pipe and a full titanium exhaust system.

There is also an aerokit that goes for the RZA-290. It comprises of the following: front splitter system and bumper canard, side skirt system and rear diffuser with ground effect system. The latter was designed to create higher downforce. Also something to note is that this new element of the package is made of carbon fiber composite.

The aero package for the RZA-450 for AMG CLA 45 adds a lot of carbon fiber. The material has been used for the design of the front splitter, bumper, side skirts and rear diffuser. We also have to mention the stainless steel down pipe and the titanium exhaust system.

  • Mercedes-Benz s63 AMG Reworked by Brabus

2014 Brabus Mercedes-Benz s63 AMGMercedes-Benz S63 has caught the attention of German tuner Brabus and has turned into its latest project once again. Along with a speedometer updated to 400 km/h, the new S63 receives an exquisite satin gold exterior finish as well.

Starting with the power plant, the S63 AMG by Brabus retains the original twin-turbo V8 5.5-liter engine. This time around it no longer generates 585 HP (430 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft). Thanks to the significant rework by the tuner, now the engine delivers a 850 HP (625 kW) at 5,400 rpm and 1,450 Nm (1,069 lb-ft) of torque in the 2,500 – 4,500 rpm range.

Even though there has not been confirmed any performance data, Brabus Mercedes-Benz S63 is going to be quicker than the well-known stock model in rear wheel drive configuration. The base car requires 4.4 seconds until it reaches 62 mph (100 km/h) while the 4MATIC version is able to achieve it in 4 seconds. Initially, Mercedes-Benz is offering the S63 AMG with a 155 mph (250 km/h) electronic top speed limiter but due to Brabus’ previous project this figure is increased to 202 mph (325 km/h).

The refined Mercedes arrives with new aerodynamic features too. For instance, the luxury sedan is equipped with carbon fiber front air intake surrounds, a carbon front splitter, carbon components behind the front wheels and carbon wing mirrors. There is a bootlid lip spoiler, quad tailpipes and aggressively looking carbon fiber diffuser installed by Brabus.
