  • Prior-Design Ferrari 458 Italia “WOWs” at Top Marques Monaco

Prior-Design Ferrari 458 Italia Front and Side ViewPrior-Design Ferrari 458 Italia is a car to admire. It was specifically created to catch the attention of the visitors at Top Marques Monaco. And under the expertise of Prior-Design specialists I am sure it will definitely do so. As a matter of fact, this is the standout member of the tuning company’s “Monaco-Line-up”, shining strong in its new aero body kit.

    Custom Exterior

This beautiful mat grey Ferrari features a number of exterior changes which make it truly unique. They are all announced as the PD458 aerodynamic kit. But what does this package include and how does it change the super sports car?

The first step in the modification process of the Prior-Design Ferrari 458 Italia was to change the front bumper with new one and to add to it spoiler lip. The designers also agreed on adding Cup-Wings and an all-new bonnet.

Prior-Design Ferrari 458 Italia Back and Side View

What is more, the new side skirts smoothen the air flow along the flanks of the car. At the rear, there is a new bumper with diffuser and tailgate spoiler. This creates more downforce over the rear axle and also reduces drag by minimising turbulence from the airflow separation.

Prior-Design Ferrari 458 Italia runs on in-house made alloy wheels that come in 9.0×21-inch at the front and 12.5×22-inch at the rear.

    Engine Remap

Powering this Ferrari Italia is the mid-mounted 4.5 litre flat-plane crank V8 engine. In its standard form it produces 570 hp (420 kW). However, the engineers at Prior-Design decided to stand out and developed a Power-Package. It actually adds extra 45 horses, contributing for a total output of 615 hp (452 kW).

Next, to the engine software remap, the conversion also helps in the reduction of exhaust back-pressure thanks to the equal-length manifolds, 100-cell race-grade metal catalysts and a free-flow stainless steel sports silencer with sound valve control.

At last, Prior-Design has also revealed that this conversion has been extensively tested on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife track.

  • Ferrari 458 Spider Concept by Carlex Design Looks Astounding!

Ferrari 458 Spider Concept by Carlex Design - Exterior Ferrari 458 Spider has received an extreme appearance, both inside and outside. Although only in a concept variant, this car is the current project on which the experts at Carlex Design Studio are working and concentrating efforts. They have just released their interpretation of the 458 Spider in five images (sketches actually) at their official Facebook page.

A fortunate fact is that the tuners said that these conceptual drawings will be soon transformed into reality.

Carlex Design Ferrari 458 Spider Concept Exterior

Although there isn’t much of information released, what we see is really pleasing and spoils the eyes. The first two pictures display the one-off exterior design of this Ferrari. It is painted in clean white color. It features black stripes on the hood and roof, and contrasting carbon fiber elements like the rearview mirrors.

SEE ALSO: Liberty Walk and SR Auto Roll Out Insane Ferrari 458 Spider

The wheels are also decided in black; they are with V-spoke design and are fitted with huge low-profile rubbers. All in all the exterior design look fantastic and we are impatient to eventually see it taking real shape.

Carlex Design Ferrari 458 Spider Concept Interior

Ferrari 458 Spider Concept by Carlex Design - Iterior

The cabin of this particular Ferrari 458 Spider Concept looks even better. It is infused in two contrasting colors: black and red, which is the perfect choice for the white exterior (in my opinion).

It is visible that the interior is bold and intense and almost blood-re. It features two-tone leather and Alcantara upholstery, starting from the steering-wheel, continuing through the door panels and dashboard, and ending up with the seats. There are a lot of dark accents, additional contrast stitching and leather inserts.

    Drivetrain

There is no data released whether this car will feature any changes for its engine. If all stays intact, then this beautiful Ferrari 458 Spider will be driven 4.5 liters V8 engine, producing 605 hp (478 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque at 6000 rpm. This will allow the supercar to reach 0-100 km (0-62 mph) in just 3.0 seconds.

But don’t you think that this exceptional design deserves an engine uprate?

  • 2015 Concours of Elegance Continues to Bring Pleasure for the Eyes of Every Auto Maniac!

Concours of Elegance revealed some legendary vehicle models, that were set on stage in the 2015 event, that include a 1905 Star Gordon Bennett racer to the 2015 Touring Superleggera Berlinetta Lusso.

The Concours itself started in 2012 with the idea to show the world’s finest vehicles ath the Windsor Castle. Since the first Concours, it moved to St James’s Palace and Hampton Court Palace, before heading to the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh for this year’s event.

And for 2015 the event demonstrated some really impressive vehicles. Let’s start with the elders. The 1905 Star shows one of the earliest models on display, that was originally created to represent Britain at the Gordon Bennett Cup. The vehicle comes with a 10-liter engine and a top speed of 100 km/h (62 mph), which was a really impressive achievement for engineers from that era.

Further, the 1939 Delahaye Type 165 Figoni et Laschi comes to remind, that it was one of the most impressive vehicles back in the 1930s. In fact, it is still impressive and today, isn’t it? It was first displayed at 1939 World’s Fair in NY and only six of these 12-cylinder models were created and the model, showed at the 2015 Concours of Elegance is the most beautiful of all six vehicles.

The next beauty is the 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 NART Spider. In fact, this is the one of only ten ever produced. It was designed to kickstart the 275 GTB/4 sales in America and it became one of the most sought-after Ferrari models.

The Concours continues with the 1979 BMW M1 and the 1995 Ferrari F40 LM, before showing the youngest model at the show this year, the 2015 Touring Superleggera Berlinetta Lusso, which is a Ferrari F12 influenced hand-crafted coupe with a production of only five vehicles. Impressive, isn’t it?

The Concours really shows some wonderful and truly beautiful vehicles, that bring pleasure of just watching them. We hope, that everyone, who is interested in such cars have the chance to be an owner of such beauties!

  • Chinese Artist Yin Simon Orders Black FXX K with Eccentric Accents

Everyone has a specific taste. This comes very clear when it comes to cars and preferences to their exterior looks. We have seen so many strangely tuned vehicles so far that it is sometimes hard to hide your laughter. However, the case with this Ferrari isn’t such, and in fact I find it somewhat charming. The other difference is that this isn’t a custom tuning project, but it has been rather ordered in such appearance directly from the factory. The person behind this order was the wealthy Chinese artist Yin Simon, which has encountered the need of having a black FXX K accentuated by pink highlights. The track only car has been developed for enthusiasts only, meaning that the car will never enter any official race.

SEE ALSO: The Beauty and the Performer, Starring FXX K [VIDEO]

This is also the reason why Ferrari will develop only 40 units of it, each of which will cost 2.5 million euro. The true potential of this car however is not expressed by its visual appearance but by its unique performance characteristics.Precisely, the powerful drivetrain comprises of potent V12 engine and an electric motor. Their total combined power is of 1,050 hp (772 kW), 860 hp coming from the V12 and 190 hp – from the electric motor. If you wonder about the maximum torque – it is over 900 Nm (664 lb-ft). Mr. Simon will definitely enjoy some performance, right?

  • Ferrari 488 GTB Debuts in Tokyo

Ferrari 488 GTB is a new model we have seen debuting in the beginning of February. The good news is that it has made it in Japan and now can be officially purchased there. The premiere happened in Tokyo and this is actually the second time the car is shown after Geneva. The event was held in a very special location along the waterway in the city, in the Isle of Tennozu.

Red laser beams expressed the pulse of the 488 GTB. This color wasn’t accidental. It was actually in harmony with the exterior paint scheme of the beautiful sports car, covered in Rosso Corsa Metalizzato.

SEE ALSO: Ferrari 488 GTB Promises Extreme Driving Thrills

Special about this car is that it sets a significant benchmark for the sports car field. It is actually exactly 40 years from the launch of company’s iconic mid-rear-engined V8 berlinetta, meaning that now the 488 GTB enters a new chapter in the history of cars due to its architecture.

Speaking of which, the body of this Ferrari is made in such way that it offers optimal weight distribution for sportier driving. In addition, the unit that drives the car is the twin-turbocharged 3.9-litre (3902cc) engine, producing 660 hp (485 kW) at 8000 rpm and 759 Nm (560 lb-ft) of optimum torque at 3000 rpm.

The 0-62 mph acceleration happens in 3.0 seconds while the 0-124 mph sprint is covered in 8.3 seconds. The top speed is more than 205 mph. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an updated seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, which unleashes the engine’s massive torque smoothly and powerfully right across the rev range.

And if you still wonder what the GTB stands for, well here’s the “deal”: it is an acronym for Gran Turismo Berlinetta, which is comes to pay homage to its deep roots in company’s history.

  • Ferrari Revealed the Stunning 2015 California T

2015 Ferrari Califrornia TAt the Auto Shanghai show Ferrari revealed the stunning California T model. The godlike beauty is crafted only for the Chinese auto show, just to demonstrate how Ferrari‘s “Tailor Mode” program allows customers to tweak a car just like they want. As you know, since the 1950s, the California model is  a symbol of elegance, beauty and sportiness.

The 2015 California T has something vintage in its look. The interior is rich on detail and even the smallest components are crafted with incredible precision. The seats are in reddish brown leather, influenced by the style of “former first family”, indeed the Kennedys. The waxed central console adds even more luxurious feel to the overall premium vehicle.

But the California T brings and some modern features. The matte grey details on the central console bring that sweet feel of high-tech vehicle, just as the Alcantara inserts in the seating. Even the floor mats are made of virgin woof from New Zealand.

The incredible combination of vintage and modern really makes the California T the best model for the Tailor Made program. This is the perfect example of what a motivated and highly skilled team can create: not just a vehicle, but a piece of art, that blends emotion, memories of past beauty and passion for the future events.

  • DMC Creates “Elegante” Aero Kit for Ferrari 458 Italia

2015 DMC Ferrari 458 Italia Elegante South Africa Edition Side ViewWhat happens when a supreme Italian car meets an exclusive tuner like DMC? You are right if you say that the car becomes even cooler, but what I meant by this question is actually the expansion of DMC’s kits over even more exclusive supercars. The current vehicle under attention is the Ferrari 458 Italia, which is bathing in its exuberant red exterior paint.

And although the luxury tuner usually transforms Lambos, the 458 kits it prepares are staring to evoke more and more glances. We have seen in the past how the 458 Italia has been transformed in 458 Estremo or 458 Monte Carlo limited editions. And they are very, very beautiful.

Now, it is time to get introduced to the 458 Elegante, which received a package that carries the same name. The kit was installed by the South Africans at RACE. The result is spectacular and you can view it below!

“Elegante” body kit gives the Ferrari a whole new and aggressive look thanks to the aerodynamic components it adds. These feature front lips and side skirts as well as some other tiny details which not only look great but also support a better road feel.

Furthermore, as you can see each window has been blacked out. This adds the feel of individuality and seclusion. Added luxury is expressed also via the gold-plated five-spoke wheels. In other words: the car looks out of this world, doesn’t it? We can’t wait seeing the next DMC project!

  • The Beauty and the Performer, Starring FXX K [VIDEO]

2015 Ferrari FXX KThe FXX K was officially unveiled at the Finali Mondiali in Abu Dhabi and it is the result of the cooperative work by Ferrari’s GT and the GES racing divisions. This incredible and extreme model is built and available only for track use.  It was especially forged with unseen aerodynamic and engine efficiency . Interesting fact is that this car won the first prize for design and not for its performance. Curious, right?

The Ferrari Styling Centre team has created an absolute masterpiece, in which every single line of the design serves not just for aesthetic purpose, but for boosting the performance. The crushing design is entirely a product of hand-made-work, personally done by the Ferrari engineers and aerodynamic specialists. Every single panel is greatly redesigned to bring an extra downforce, but without lowering the high standards of body aesthetics.

For instance, take a look at the put on top of vertical rear fins, that recall the tails of fighter panels. The fins are specially placed on the top wing, so it enchant the dynamic shape and aerodynamic abilities. And the LED stripes are definitely and eye-catcher. They replace the conventional headlights and broaden the front of the car. The lines add extra aggressive look, that, combined with the crushing design and looks brings us such a beauty of performance, that only the Ferrari team is able to deliver.

  • Liberty Walk and SR Auto Roll Out Insane Ferrari 458 Spider

In December last year we announced that the specialists at SR Auto Group have begun working on a Liberty Walk Ferrari 458 Spider. Back then there was only a couple of photos released suggesting that the black Italian supercar will have some red stylish accents. And so it has. Today we have the project fully revealed and I must admit it is crazy!

At first we must bring some attention to the LW wide body kit, which is the first factor making the car that impressive. The Japanese tuner has installed a front splitter as well as new extended side skirts. There is also the need of flared wheel arches so Liberty walk couldn’t just skip them. At the back we see carbon fibre bootlid lip spoiler and a new rear diffuser.

In fact, the lowered ride height perfectly complements the new aggressive and contrasting Davinci Red alloys. They come from PUR Wheels in the size of 20 inches at all four corners and feature exposed hardware in Gloss Black.

At last, this Prancing Horse did not receive any engine upgrades, meaning that it is powered by the direct-injection 4.5 litre V8 unit. It generates 578 horsepower (425 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. The maximum speed is of 320 km/h (198 mph) and the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is under 3.4 seconds.

All in all, this project seems to be very minimalist, but this is what I really like about it: small details mixed with a lot of passion!

  • Touring Superleggera F12 Berlinetta Lusso Inspired by Italian Golden Era

Staring at the pictures of the Touring Superleggera Ferrari F12 Berlinetta Lusso I am amazed by the detailed work the tuners have done. The car is a main star at company’s stand at the Geneva Motor Show and so far has gathered many glances. The good news is that there will be more than one car produced. Precisely – only five. But they are enough if we are going to see the same precision and individuality applied.

But let’ see why the Berlinetta Lusso is so attractive. First of all it is a natural born street legal two-seater. Secondly, its visuals are stunning, given that they have been inspired by the golden era of Italian “fuoriserie”, literally meaning a “custom build car.”

Next, luxury is to be found everywhere: from the exterior with its long bonnet to the unique cockpit. The Azzurro Niourlague paint finish further strengthens the sense of freedom evoking images of the Mediterranean Sea in a sunny day. In contrast, the interior has been decided in dark shades but harmonized with blue accents like the stitching.

Based on F12berlinett’s chassis, the car has also kept many of its characteristics unchanged. This means that there is no improvement to the engine, electronic equipment or technology. However, more than twelve different types of alloy – have been used for the modification of this car with the sole purpose of saving more weight. The result is a body mass of 1.525 kg better torsional stiffness, outstanding performance and probably some improvements in efficiency.

The other material used here is of course carbon fiber. The bonnet, front bumper, skirts, tailgate, front splitters and rear diffuser have all been made of it. But enough talk! Dive into the gallery below and see how detailed this modified car is. Impressive, isn’t it?

  • Ferrari 488 GTB Promises Extreme Driving Thrills

Attention everybody! Meet Ferrari’s newest superbeast dubbed 488 GTB! With this model, the automaker “opens a new chapter in its 8-cylinder history,” forty years after the introduction of its first ever mid-rear-engined V8 vehicle.

In terms of power, 2015 Ferrari 488 GTB is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.9-litre (3902cc) engine that boast around with 660 bhp at 8000 rpm and 560 lb-ft of torque at 3000 rpm. When we compare it to the normally aspirated 4.5-litre V8 used in the 458 Italia (562 bhp at 9000 rpm with 398 lb-ft at 6000 rpm of torque) and 458 Speciale (597 bhp at 9000 rpm and, again, 398 lb-ft at 6000 rpm), the power unit used in the new supercar seems to be significantly more powerful.

The 0-62 mph run is covered in 3.0 seconds while the 0-124 mph sprint takes 8.3 seconds. Its top speed is expected to be more than 205 mph. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a revised seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It arrives with a new variable torque management system which according to Ferrari “unleashes the engine’s massive torque smoothly and powerfully right across the rev range.”

Ferrari 488 GTB will conquer the automotive world not only with excellent performance and dynamics but with a top-class style too. There is a distinctive large air intake scallop reminds us of the original 308 GTB. In this application, though, it has been divided into two parts by a splitter.  Furthermore, the wider front spoiler has a double profile which enhances the thermal efficiency of the radiators at the sides. Finally, the exterior changes are also noticeable in the redesigned LED taillights.

Inside the cabin, the new 488 GTB features new satellite control clusters, angled air vents and an instrument panel with minor tweaks. Additionally, the interior is highlighted by a number of classic Ferrari styling components like the obvious separation between the dashboard and tunnel, the multifunctional steering wheel, the control switch bridge and wraparound seats.

Officially, the car will debut during Geneva Motor Show next month.

  • Ferrari F12berlinetta Tour de France 64 Revealed

Ferrari and Francorchamps Motors displayed the F12 Berlinetta Tour de France 64 special edition at the Dream Cars Show in Brussels, Belgium. The car is special in a way that it pays tribute to the Ecurie Francorchamps team and the 250 GTO in which Lucien Bianchi and Georges Berger won the 1964 Tour de France Automobile.

The original Modena yellow finish applied by the Ecurie Francorchamps has been altered. The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta Tour de France 64 special edition now has a modern twist thanks to the Argento Auteil body color with a triple-layer cross-stripe on the bonnet.

Inside, there are Mahagoni leather seats which give the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta a unique vintage appearance. Moreover, the use of SuperFabric floor mats and boot trim ( “a tough, super-grippy ‘bulletproof’ material featuring a 3D design developed exclusively for Ferrar”) works in combination with side panels wrapped in Mycro Prestige to further underline the character of the vehicle.

Finally, the dashboard features an aluminum finish with yellow accents on the bridge and door handles.
