  • When exclusivity meets style: Novitec Rosso Ferrari 488 GTB

Novitec Rosso Ferrari 488 GTB side viewNovitec Rosso has released yesterday on their Facebook page an exclusive Ferrari 488 GTB project. All of you who follow us there have already seen the images , but still do not know the details around this special car. And there is a lot! Basically, the sophisticated refinement program is based on new aero components, shiny wheels and output conversion.

How to Make the 488 GTB Produce 772 HP?

Obviously, the tuners are on the opinion that “even a top-notch sports car can never have enough power”. Hence, the performance kits for the 3.9-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine of the 488 GTB were born! The most surprising moment here is that there is a special feature, which allows the engine tuning to be activated and deactivated in a flash. This happens with the help of a Manettino dial on the steering wheel.

SEE ALSO: Novitec’s Spofec Refines the Refined Rolls-Royce Wraith

Through the installation of two in-house made N-TRONIC control modules, which control the eight-cylinder, the specialists achieved new programmed mapping for injection and ignition and modified the electronic boost pressure control. Additional optimization of the power output is due to the new high-performance exhaust system that comes with optional electronic sound management.

The result is exceptional: the V8 adds 102 hp (76 kW) and 132 Nm (97 lb-ft) of torque, making it a total of 772 hp (568 kW) and 892 Nm (658 lb-ft) at a low 3,250 rpm. The gains also influence the performance. The updated Ferrari can sprint from rest to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 342 km/h.

    Seductive Naked Carbon Fiber

Novitec Rosso Ferrari 488 GTB rear view

All of the components featured here come in a variant made from naked carbon. The designers have created out from it front spoiler lip and side flaps mounted to the bumper (they aid the speed too), an additional surround for the central air intake, rocker panels, subtle carbon surrounds for the door mirrors, new air deflection components in the side air intakes, new large rear airfoil, diffuser attachment for the rear bumper and carbon surrounds for the two tail lamps and the air outlets.

Other exclusive benefits are the new lighting elements: the black turn signals and reflectors as well the black-tinted third brake light featuring LED technology. The wheels have a decisive influence on the looks, so NF4 21-inch forged wheels fit perfectly. They are mounted with Pirelli P Zero high-performance tires of sizes 255/30 ZR 21 at the front and 325/25 ZR 21 on the rear axle.

This 488 GTB also benefits from the in-house made hydraulic suspension system, which lowers the ride height of the sports car by about 35 millimeters. Besides this function, the hydraulic front lift system can also raise the sports car by 40 millimeters at the touch of a button in the cockpit.

At last but not least, the interior of the sports car has also been updated by Novitec Rosso. Here have been included from longer carbon paddle shifters to an exclusive leather and Alcantara interior finishes.

  • One-off new Ferrari 458 MM Speciale won’t be made anymore

Ferrari 458 MM Speciale front viewFerrari 458 MM Speciale sounds like a very special car, doesn’t it? And it is such. The exclusive (literally… it is one-off) model is Ferrari’s latest creation, which was revealed during the car’s first shakedown on the Fiorano circuit. It was driven by Ferrari’s chief test driver Dario Benuzzi and the car’s enthusiastic British owner.

The one-off car was designed in the Styling Centre, built on the chassis and running gear of the 458 Speciale, and beautified via several means. It was “dressed” in the likes of the owner, and therefore it had to feature extremely sporty lines and specified a ‘visor’ effect for the glasshouse. The latter was achieved via a black-painted A-pillar, which provides a link between the windscreen and side windows. In addition, this also results in lower the roofline and sleek swept-back C-pillar.

SEE ALSO: DMC Ferrari 488 GTB ORSO offers more power and charm than you could expect!

The 458 MM Speciale is finished in Bianco Italia. However, its entire livery is inspired by the Italian flag. Some of the exterior modifications here include bodywork made from aluminium and composite carbon-fibre bumpers at the front and rear. Other goody that most of the Ferrari 458s don’t have is the side air scoop.

Ferrari 458 MM Speciale rear view

Furthermore, the side intakes were also devised to allow direct additional cooling of the engine bay. At the back, there is a new spoiler, which balances the downforce and completes the beltline that sweeps back along the side from the front wheelarch.

Specific wheels exclusive to this very unique car are a must! And the same counts for the modified front and rear light clusters. The interior was also improved and it is infused with Cioccolato leather upholstery with white stitching. At last but not least, the proud owner of this 458 MM Speciale will enjoy an audio system.

Ferrari 458 MM Speciale won’t be made in other examples than this.

  • DMC Ferrari 488 GTB ORSO offers more power and charm than you could expect!

DMC Ferrari 488 GTB ORSO front and side viewDMC Ferrari 488 GTB ORSO is the newest project by the German specialists at the luxury tuning studio. The choice of the car used as a basis is not accidental. In fact, when Ferrari debuted the 488 GTB, there was equal amount of people who liked it and other who didn’t. The reason for this controversy was of course, the twin turbo charged V8 engine. It was away from the classic natural aspirated engine. This is why, the tuning experts decided to improve the aerodynamics as well as the power of the Ferrari. As a result, the DMC 488 GTB Orso was born!

There are two steps in this customization. The first one is the visual modification, and the second – the ECU optimization of the V8. It is good to know, that the production output numbers, which the unit generates are 670 hp (610 kW) and 760 Newton meters (560 lb-ft) of torque. So let’s see what has happened.

SEE ALSO: DMC Finds Simplicity with the new Lamborghini Huracan [w/video]

The subtle change of the design began with the application of the elegant Stage 1 kit. It comprises of a sword and a spoiler for the front bumper. The latter is enhanced with vertical fins. At the sides we see new aero skirts, while at the rear there is a brand new diffuser and a rear wing. DMC ensures that these changes not only contribute for the visual improvement of the Ferrari, but also support the uprated engine.

DMC Ferrari 488 GTB ORSO side view

The next step was to use an ECU reprogramming for the V8 unit and to replace the standard exhaust system with an in-house made one, so that 488 GTB could deliver more than enough. As a matter of fact, the engineers achieved an addition of 118 hp and 105 Nm. If you make the math, this results in a total of 788 hp (580 kW) and 865 Nm (638 lb-ft) of torque!

Although there aren’t any pictures of the interior, DMC says that it will be imbued with the finest Italian leathers and carbon fiber.  Let’s not forget the wheels set up, which after the conversion is 20-inch lightweight alloys at the front and 21-inch at the rear.

At last, each customer will get a gift: DMC iPhone case, in the same color spec as his car.

  • VOS Ferrari 488 GTB features all preliminary qualities to be the perfect Ferrari you will ever see!

VOS Ferrari 488 GTB front viewWhich are the preliminary qualities of a Ferrari? First, it has to be red; secondly – it has to be fast; and third, it has to be beautiful. When one isn’t satisfied with its factory 488 GTB, then he or she goes to the doctor (tuner) and changes what they don’t like. It is as simple as that!

    Quality One: The Color

In case of this project, which is based on the Ferrari 488 GTB and is made by the specialists at VOS Performance (VOS stands for Vision Of Speed), the color has stayed the factory one. It is the emblematic Rosso corsa shade that is popular as being one of the red international motor racing colors of the cars entered by teams from Italy, and literally meaning “racing red”. In fact, this color represents history, because it has been utilized since the 1920s for almost all Italian race cars of Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Lancia, Ferrari and Abarth. And this is why we aren’t looking for any changes here.

    Quality Two: The Speed

VOS Ferrari 488 GTB rear view

Ferrari 488 GBT is officially powered by the 3.9 liter bi-turbo V8 engine, which produces a spectacular 670 hp (493 kW). We must admit that here one should expect more, since we are living in the world of the unlimited possibilities. Hence, the engineers and technicians at VOS have made a three-stage power increase.

SEE ALSO: Capristo Automotive Shows the Real Capability of Ferrari 488 GTB

If one chooses “Stage 1”, then his or her Ferrari will be boosted to 750 hp (552 kW) and 1098 Nm (810 lb-ft) of torque. The next stage offers power uprating of 830 hp (610 kW) and 1165 Nm (860 lb-ft) of torque. At last, for the most capricious clients, VOS has created the “Stage 3”, which makes the powertrain pump out 900 hp (662 kW) and 1233 Nm (910 lb-ft) of optimum torque.

There changes also translate to more aggressive acceleration rate that feeds driver’s adrenaline.

    Quality Three: The Looks

VOS Ferrari 488 GTB side view

“Beauty comes from the inside”, many may say. Well, in the case of this Ferrari: it is all about the outer looks. Although the car looks stunning in its factory variant, the customization team decided to create a sophisticated carbon-outfit for it.

Precisely, here are included lower front, side sills-like spearheads and a multi-part system diffuser at the lower rear. Another notable feature is the cool rear-wing carried out in zero position and fabricated as a complete mono-bloc component. The body kit is rounded out by the new trenchant mirror caps, the “ventilation system” of tailored air-intake and the outlet veneers at the vehicle’s flanks.

But the wheels are also important for the looks, aren’t they? Hence, there have been added LOMA forged alloys sized 21-inch and fitted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires of size 225/35/21” on the front axle and 325/25/21” on the rear axle. At last, H&R-sports spring set completes the magnificent appearance of the 488 GTB.

Behold, our perfect Ferrari has been born! VOS Ferrari 488 Grand Turisme Berlinetta will celebrate its world premiere at the Tuning World Bodensee, starting this Thursday!

  • Capristo Automotive Shows the Real Capability of Ferrari 488 GTB

Capristo Automotive Ferrari 488 GTB Side viewFerrari 488 GTB is hell of a car. But Capristo Automotive has ways of bringing out even more from it, without adding too much extra equipment. Hence, the company has developed innovative twin flow catalyst and carbon styling parts for the Italian sports car. Oh, and as a matter of fact they will pull out way more than the standard (but impressive) 670 hp from the twin-turbo V8 engine it uses.

At the core of Capristo Automotive’s Ferrari 488 upgrade is the high quality sports exhausts that delivers more power and a far greater sound. The system also features valve control and a unique twin flow catalyst.

SEE ALSO: Prior-Design with Yet Another Breath-Taking Ferrari 458 Italia Transformation

In this project the development engineers set goals to achieve including to bring out maximum performance and best possible sound, as well as to make the changes fully compatibility with the factory electronic systems.

Capristo Automotive Ferrari 488 GTB front

When the engine is started, the twin flow catalyst system sends a portion of the exhaust gases through a high-density catalyst field. In addition, there is a Lambda sensor taking measurements for the ECU. The rest of the exhaust gases are routed through the integrated catalytic converter replacement pipe, which optimally tunes both gas flow and soundtrack.

Furthermore, the Ferrari underwent a development program, including 2,000 km of road and track testing. With some other modifications, the dynamometer recorded 740 hp coming out from the tuned 488 GTB, which is an addition of 70 hp!

Besides the performance update, the supercar also received styling kit. It is entirely made of carbon-fiber and it serves in means of differentiating the Capristo Ferrari 488 from the standard ones. There is for example a front splitter, which gives the nose a more aggressive appearance. In addition, it provides more downforce at speed. At last, the carbon fiber side sill extensions, the aerodynamic exterior mirrors and fuel cap round out the tuning of the Ferrari GTB.

  • Gloss Davinci Red Redefines Simplicity for this Ferrari 458 Italia

SR Auto Ferrari 458 Italia Front ViewIt seems that Gloss Davinci Red is the favorite color of the Canadian tuners at SR Auto Group. Or at least their last two projects show this tendency. This time they have released a special edition of a Ferrari 458 Italia, which has been fitted with exclusive PUR 8IGHT wheels.

And did you know that the goal of the PUR 8IGHT when it was released years ago was to bulk up and shed away the unnecessary weight and to be as efficient as possible? Well, the goal was achieved and it was possible to translate it to the performance super cars like this Ferrari Italia.
