  • Brabus Gives More Style And Power To Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG

Brabus-Mercedes-Benz-CLA45-AMG-THUMBBrabus tuning company is famous for transforming exclusively Mercedes-Benz progenies. We have seen transformations ranging from the SL63 AMG model to the smallest Smarts. And what we can conclude is that the work of the designers is exceptional for its great levels of craftsmanship and quality.

Their next project, which is currently being presented, is on Mercedes-Benz compact four-door coupe CLA45 AMG. The car was already given a factory body kit, which undoubtedly impresses the eyes. This was probably the reason why Brabus did not do a lot on this CLA45.

What is important to mention in this tuning is that the specialists gave the car an additional benefit in terms of power. They have added 39 hp (29 kW) and 50 Nm (37 lb-ft) of torque in order to enhance engine’s production figures up to 394 hp (290 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. In addition, the top speed was raised up to 168 mph from the standard 155 mph.

If you wonder about the acceleration figures, well Brabus said that the enhanced Mercedes needs only 4.2 seconds (compared to 4.4 seconds in the stock version) to cover the 0-100 km/h acceleration sprint. The next step in the tuning was to ensure this extra power got a proper visual back-up.

Thus a red-accented body kit was added. It comprises of a new trim piece at the front, a roof-edge spoiler and rear lip spoiler. The most striking visual elements however are the carbon fiber mirror and the red-banded 19-inch wheels. To match the exclusivity of the exterior, inside the car features a lot of red trim next to the Alcantara that wraps nearly everything.

  • Brabus 850 Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG – 850HP and 1450Nm

Brabus has published a lot of pictures and some tiny info for their super-powerful Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG. The name of the project is 850 6.0 Bi-Turbo and it is based on the latest SL-Class – the R231.

The exterior boasts a complete aerodynamics package including a new front splitter, a modified front hood with a scoop, a new rear diffuser and a trunk-mounted spoiler. There is also a set of huge 20” alloy wheels fitted with low-profile performance tires and a complete valve controlled sports exhaust system.

The data for the engine is – 850HP (625 kW) and impressive 1,450Nm (1,069 lb-ft) of torque. This is an increase of 313HP and 650Nm compared to factory’s power. Nothing else is mentioned, but 0-100 km/h will be around 3.5 seconds or less and the top speed will be way over 322 km/h (200 mph).

The engine is probably enlarged to 6.0 liter and received bigger turbochargers in order to get all this additional power.

    Stay tuned for more info!

  • Brabus Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 Gets Military Green Exterior And ADV1s

Brabus-Mercedes-Benz-AMG-G63-ADV1-MV2-THUMBOne of the most emblematic vehicles in Mercedes-Benz range is undoubtedly the G-Wagon. The model was introduced back in 1979 and since than it made an uncompromised mark in the automotive industry.

Many tuners have taken the challenge to make this machine even more stunning. The tuners at SR Auto Group have also made a contribution to the world of modified G-Wagons with their take on the AMG G63.

At first, they have equipped it with a complete Brabus Widestar Kit, which includes Fender Flares and Door Add-Ons. Brabus Front Lip with Integrated DRL LED System was later added, as well as Brabus Side Skirts, Rear Bumper, Roof Spoiler, and Carbon Fiber Hood Vent.

The specialists have then proceeded to treat the exterior with a matte military green vinyl wrap. As a result the exterior of this G63 is now more rugged and aggressive. The final touch in the tuning is the addition of new wheels. Precisely, SR Auto installed a set of 22″ ADV1 7.0 MV2 Wheels in Man Bronze finish, giving this truck an entire transformation from top to bottom.

  • Supersized Brabus 850 6.0 Biturbo Mercedes E 63 AMG Station Wagon

    Brabus-850-6-0-Biturbo-Mercedes-Benz-E63-AMG-shadowBrabus-850-6-0-Biturbo-Mercedes-Benz-E63-AMG-medium

Brabus seem to have a somewhat peculiar understanding of what an estate is. See, we look at the Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG Station Wagon and go, “Oh, look at that loading space! I can finally move that cupboard/drawer/sofa/farm animal that I’ve been wanting to get rid of for years. This being an AMG car, I could probably do it really, really quick as well.” Brabus, on the other hand, have a look at it and go. “Has it got an engine? Yes? Wonderful, we’ve got work to do!” And by “work” they mean, dismantling the Merc’s “puny” 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 and substitute all the major components with their own. The result is currently on a stand at the 2013 Essen Motor Show: The Brabus 850 6.0 Bitrubo Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG Wagon.

As the name suggests, we are talking about a 6-liter 850 hp engine. What Brabus have done to achieve such power is increase the cylinder bore to 99 mm and install new forged pistons. A custom crankshaft with a stroke of 96 instead of 90.5 mm plus eight custom piston rods were also on the list. On top of that (no pun intended), the two cylinder heads have been optimized for improved mixture flow.

The whole air-intake system has also been substituted. Think two Brabus turbochargers with more room for compression and special exhaust manifolds. Before the air reaches them, however, it passes through a bigger-than-normal air duct on the hood and bigger air filters. The intake and charge-air tubes are plated with a special “Gold Heat Reflection” material for better heat dissipation. ECU management also comes into play and so do the high-performance catalysts, plus the Brabus stainless-steel sport exhaust system that provides the right note at the right time.

If you think 850 hp is impressive, wait until you hear the torque figure – 1,150 Nm. This means that the 255/30 ZR 20 and 295/25 ZR 20 tires that come with the programme have to both provide enough traction for the Biturbo to get to 62 mph from a standstill in just 3.1 seconds, and stay intact throughout. The top speed is limited to 186 mph.

Visual Brabus treats include the front spoiler lip that acts as an add-on to the production bumper and the Brabus diffuser insert that nestles the two dual ceramic-coated tailpipes. Don’t forget the largest in size Brabus 9.5Jx20 Monoblock F or R wheels or the optional Brabus Monoblock R “Platinum Edition” set that sees 9Jx20s at the front and 10.5x20s at the back.

Inside, the distinguishable features include a Brabus Mastik leather and Alcantra upholstery, a pair of aluminum shift paddles, and a set of Brabus Race pedals.

    The 5.5 liter twin-turbo V8 is boosted to 700HP (515 kW) and 960Nm (708 lb-ft) of torque – an increase of 156HP and 200Nm. 0-100 km/h in 7.4 seconds and a top speed of 160 km/h (100 mph) – electronically limited.

The largest tires supplied by BRABUS technology partners Continental, Pirelli and YOKOHAMA for the 20” alloys come in size 255/30 ZR 20 for the 9J x 20” wheels on the front axle and in size 295/25 ZR 20 for the 10.5J x 20” wheels in the rear.
