Forza Horizon 2 now with Furious 7 Car Pack [VIDEO]

Forza Horizon 2: Furious 7 Car Pack Remember when we told you the story behind the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T from Furious 7? Well, the great news for today is that you are actually given the chance to drive it. At least virtually, since the car has made its debut in Forza Horizon 2, the strenuous Xbox One game. The other good news is that it is actually part of Furious 7 Car Pack, which features lineup of eight fantastic vehicles, appearing in the latest series.

All of the cars have been authentically recreated, and in fact they also include details never seen before in a Forza game. Take for instance the awesome functioning blower in the Charger R/T. There is also a month’s free car, which in this case is the 1998 Toyota Supra.

So, let’s start with the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Fast & Furious Edition. It is said that this car offers the best way to live your life a quarter-mile at a time. It is driven by a 426 Hemi engine, pumping out 425 horses (313 kW). It also comes equipped with coil-over race suspension, 18-inch wheels coupled with wide tires and huge disc brakes. There is also a fully functioning supercharger and street blower scoop making a hole in the hood. The result is more than impressive and it is 900 hp (662 kW).

Next is the 1970 Plymouth Cuda with 600 horsepower, coming from the same as Charger’s engine. It is characterized by bold colors, muscular fenders and a lot of Mopar features.

2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is also featured in the car pack. The very cool thing about it is that it is bulletproof and extremely modified throughout. Surprisingly, its power comes from a turbo-diesel motor.

If you want to see something more luxurious in the pack, you have it! Greet the 2014 Maserati Ghibli S Fast & Furious Edition, which in the movie is driven by the Jason Statham’s character. Under its hood, one finds the twin-turbo V6 pumping out more than 400 horsepower (294 kW).

Number five is a position reserved for the 1970 Plymouth Road Runner. Interesting fact about this car is that it was the choice of bootleggers and street racers back in the 70s, because it was faster than most police cars. Perfect ride, isn’t it?

We can’t skip the latest 2015 Dodge Charger R/T, which is also featured in both the movie and the game. This American muscle car was driven by Dom, features Mopar tweaks and packs 370 horses (272 kW).

Another Dodge, this time the Challenger, will also help you battle your competitors in the game. Its bulging fenders, long hood, and short deck are something that stays lasting in our mind. We also saw a captivating ad campaign, featuring this model.

At last, the month’s free car is 1998 Toyota Supra, which back in the days was the king of Japanese sports cars. This particular model is powered by the famous 2JZ engine. The unit is highly tunable and is preferred among tuning enthusiasts.

The pack is already available and can be purchased for only $5 USD. And I have already done this good thing. Can you guess what I’m going to do next?

Toyota Reveals Redesigned Turbocharged Engine Lineup

Toyota 8NR-FTS 1.2-Liter Turbo Engine Toyota is ready to reveal the second turbocharged entry with a lineup of engines, that are especially built for thermal and fuel consumption efficiency. The upgraded 8NR-FTS 1.2-Liter turbo engine will be optional for the redesigned Auris , that, in fact, is on sale in Japan. The 8-NR-FTS is part of the brands strategy for hybrid and powertrain research, that includes further combusting, efficiency and weight-loss technologies.

And when it comes to technology by Toyota, the results are more than excellent. The brand delivers us supreme driving experience, based on acceleration, fuel efficiency, stability and comfort.

The engine itself combines a single-scroll turbocharger with a cylinder head, that uses special exhaust system for further optimized exhaust temperature levels. The system is so well blended together, that brings us wonderful responsive acceleration and maximum torque levels with a wide rpm range.

Toyota brings us even better combustion speed, created by a tumble flow in the cylinder. This, paired with the new-age D-4T technology delivers the perfect air-fuel mixture. Updated Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is the Next Big Thing to See at NYIAS

Fifteen years after the debut of the first Prius, Toyota is now showing us the eighth hybrid in its range: the refreshed RAV4. It will offer versatility, capability and flexibility matched with and incredible fuel consumption efficiency. A promising model, the RAV4 Hybrid will be offered in two trim levels: XLE and Limited. Both of them are coming with Electronic On-Deman All-Wheel Drive System, 17-inch alloy wheels and color gamma with a total of six colors.

The gas version comes in four packs: LE, XLE, Limited and a revised SE. They will feature refreshed interior design with more dynamic appearance. The revised style additions include the LED trifecta, a rocker panel. For the gas versions there are some additional color finishes: Silver Sky Metallic, Black Currant Metallic, Electric Storm Blue.

A fact is that Toyota answers customers’ feedback and brings some technical additions to the interior. There is parking sonar, Smart Key, even a “Homelink” garage door opener, which are included for the standard and Limited packs. All of the models are equipped with SiriusXM Radio with a 3-month trial.

The RAV4 even includes the Bird’s Eye View Monitor. This is the first time a Toyota car is geared with four cameras, mounted on a different places on the car, so the driver and passengers could see objects that aren’t noticeable.

The SE grade features a sport suspension, which provides dynamic and fast-responsive handling. The model also includes: S-code pain design that offers three available exterior colors. The 2016 RAV4 will include the advanced safety system Toyota Safety Sense. Unfortunately, it will be available to U.S. clients only.

New York Auto Show at a Glance. What to Expect?

2016 Jaguar XF Debuting in New York Some of the most anticipated automobile brands have recently announced their participation in New York International Auto Show. Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Ford, Kia, Scion, Aston Martin and Smart disclose new models and features, that are definately a must see. We told you about most of them, but let us remind why you should be exited. There are many things, that woud be on the world’s press.

The striking and crushing Vulcan debuted at the Geneva Motor Show. Definately a honorable addition to the luxorious hi-end line, that already includes the Vanquish Carbon, Rapide S, DB9, V12 Vantage S and the V8 Vantage GT Roadster. “The Vulcan” erupts with stunning 800 plus hp (500kW) and a special driver program for owners, who want to get more experienced on a sports track. Definately a beast, that deserves it’s place on the show.

The well-known for quality and style Mercedes-Benz brand decided to debut its high-performance SUV machines. Yes, we are talking about the AMG GLE63 4MATIC and GLE63 S 4MATIC. The revised models include serious changes, that modify the front and tail ends to bring you even better overall performance and new standard for emission wastes.

Next, Kia team decided to premiere the 2016 Optima. It will come with numerous powerplant options, a bigger interior, some new premium features and complete pack of technology tweaks. The best selling and award-winning Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is also making its debut in New York. Don’t miss your chance to witness such a vehicle. And speaking of exclusivity, a V8, carbon fibre two seater is coming your way and it is named McLaren 570S Coupe. Toyota to Premiere Tacoma and RAV4 Hybrid in New York

2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road Access Cab Front and Side View Toyota will be exhibiting its future at the New York Auto Show, where it will display a wide range of vehicles, some of which we have never seen before. The first announced was the 2016 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and it will be revealed on 2nd of April as the newest of the hybrids in Japanese company’s line-up. There are no additional words regarding this one, so we can’t tell you anything else.

The visitors will also have the chance to see the revolutionary Mirai hydrogen concept. It will be accompanied by a mock-up of a fueling station that will serve as an example of how one can refuel a hydrogen car in five minutes or even less.

The truck space has been reserved for another refreshed model in Toyota’s line-up. And this is the 2016 Tacoma. Here, we have more official data and we can proudly tell you that the vehicle will be powered by a brand new engine. Precisely, it is the 3.5 liter V6, but there is no information on the output. The restyled cab will be also fitted with a GoPro mount for the first time ever, so it can collect visual images of any adventure.

Those who will visit the event will also meet a wide variety of other rides like the FV-2 three-wheel concept, the i-ROAD car, the FT-1 concept, the special New York Yankees graphic-wrapped Prius, the 850 hp Sleeper Camry dragster and the latest special editions of 2016 Camry and Corolla.

In truck’s line-up they will also see the TRD-Pro series lineup, including the Tundra, Tacoma and 4Runner, the Sienna:Remix and the special Tundra TRD Pro Desert Race Truck, which went on a journey involving race over 1,200 miles at the 47th Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 and finished first.

Toyota Says Goodbye to Jeremy Showing his Best Bits [VIDEO]

Jeremy Clarkson and the un-killable Hilux Two days ago we witnessed BBC’s official confirmation that Jeremy Clarkson won’t continue his TV presence. The world since then changed. Literally. The next news was the announcement of James May on his personal Twitter that he too has quit Top Gear. May fans showed their support online, many colleagues have said that the show should continue with the same presenters, but it is more than obvious that this is the End of an era.

The reason for Clarkson’s release from Top Gear was the so called “fracas” with the producer Oisin Tymon, caused by a cold plate and ending with a punch in Tymon’s face. The result: the star has been suspended on 10th of March and the show was stopped in the middle of the season. Tony Hall, BBC’s general director, said in official statement that Clarkson has crossed many lines and that there should be consequences.

To show their support to the star, many top car manufacturers released posts on their official social media accounts. One of them is Toyota, which was praised by Jeremy during the years. This gave fans the suspicion that the automaker has actually paid him to do so.

There is a video (which you can watch below) that highlights some of Jeremy’s best moments involving various Toyota cars. This is company’s farewell and tribute to star’s great work expressed with the words: “Thanks for everything Jeremy. It has been smashing.”

Toyota Racing to Defend Two World Titles at FIA World Endurance Championship

Toyota TS040 Hybrid Under Wraps As you know, Toyota became the first Japanese company to claim the WEC championship last year. The successful season witnessed the share of the first place by two high-performance drivers Sébastien Buemi and Anthony Davidson. The champion winning car, TS040 Hybrid proved to be the hero of the day: the machine, in full harmony with the drivers, has won 5 out of 8 races.

The Hybrid has been modified and improved for 2015 with redesigned suspension, optimized tyre wear, changed front design for even better aerodynamics and some weight-loss modifications. The art of consuming energy and saving is not unknown territory for the crew, that built the beast. They do know, that in modern age energy and performance efficiency is key feature to have in mind.

The car itself comes with two packages for 2015 that have already been tested in France. The first package, so called “The Le Mans” is better suited and used for the well-known 24-hour race, while the second one, called “Spring” is specially built to bring high level of downforce.

As said, the efficiency is well calculated by numerous tests and experiments, that started already on 13 January. The different tracks for experiment really let the team show their best, not only on the test road, but on the championship.

Team members Davidson and Buemi will share one car. Davidson himself says, that he looks forward to winning the big race at Les Mans in June. He knows what real competiton and competitors mean and he confidently prepares for the race. We wish him luck and alot of occasions for celebrating.

2015 Toyota Auris Looks Like a Shark!

Toyota shared that the Corolla hatch, also known as Auris in Europe, is going to premiere with refreshed exterior and interior looks. This will happen during the Geneva Motor Show next month. There is an extra dose of prestige added to the outside, reworked cabin and a saturated feel of comfort as well as safety. As you can see, the front end of the 2015 Toyota Auris facelift is highlighted by a number of cosmetic changes. They can be viewed when we cast a closer look at the grille.

More sharply–looking headlights and revised bumper make an impression too. But what an impression … To be honest this new design makes the front fascia look like the mouth of a shark, doesn’t it?

The automaker hasn’t released any images that show the back of the car but we expect some minor tweaks there. Perhaps a slightly reworked rear bumper and new taillights? It doesn’t sound too bad at all especially when we take into consideration the sort of plain and not so attractive appearance of the hatch.

When we talk about the interior we can notice that the cabin still has this conservative and kind of modest design of the previous generation. Nevertheless, some glossy black elements have been added so that the dashboard can look less dull and boring. Different air vents are also presented. Still, with such minimal alterations I highly doubt that Auris will be viewed as a big competitor in the compact segment.

Oh, yes, Toyota also said that customers can benefit from better fuel efficiency thanks to the 1.8-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that has a total power output of 140 hp (103 kW). How do you think? Does this make a huge difference?

2015 Toyota Hilux Invincible X Takes on the Toughest Terrains

Driving during the coldest season of the year has never been more pleasing than now thanks to the new top-of-the-range Hilux Invincible X! Undoubtedly, severe weather conditions require better equipment and ask for special measures to be taken into consideration. With Toyota’s super-tough pick-up things become easier.

Available in Double Cab version, 2015 Toyota Hilux Invincible X is powered by a 3.0-litre D-4D diesel engine which delivers 169 bhp. The power unit is mated to either five-speed manual or automatic transmission. Thanks to the permanent four-wheel drive and an auto-disconnecting differential, the Hilux Invincible X can conquer the toughest possible terrains. What is more, this newcomer is said to be “tough enough to take on the worst of Britain’s rain, snow and ice.”

On the visual side, the Invincible X benefits from 17-inch alloy wheels in four different designs. Customers can choose from: the standard Invincible rim and a new Rica five-spoke in all-black or two-tone black/machined or black/graphite finish. Part of the package are chrome tubular side bars too, offered with or without step grips, depending on the buyer’s preferences. Yet, customers can opt for a rear hi-over bar, or they can select the Style Pack variant. The latter includes a front guard, silver-coloured under-run, aluminium-finish scuff plates, chrome door handles and chrome surrounds for the bonnet air intake and rear lamp clusters.

Inside the cabin there are four colour-versions for the leather seat upholstery: the standard Invincible black, or custom two-tone black with contrasting seatback and cushion inserts in grey, saddle tan or deep red. Equipment features include: sports front seats, climate control, cruise control, dusk-sensing headlights, curtain airbags plus a whole lot of goodies and gadgets like a rear privacy glass, headlamp cleaners, a rear-view camera and the Toyota Touch 2 touchscreen-controlled multimedia system, plus Bluetooth.

Orders can now be placed and Toyota is demanding £23,842 ($36,658/€32,089) for the manual model and £24,842 ($38,192/€33,435) for the automatic variant.

New Toyota Avensis? Yes, please!

Toyota has released two images of the facelifted Avensis sedan and wagon which are scheduled to make their debut during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The 2015 facelift attempts to beef up the appearance of the car by delivering innovations in terms of comfort and safety.

Styled at Toyota’s ED2 design studio situated in the South of France and developed by the company’s R&D centre in Brussels, the new model gains a comprehensive makeover that enhances its bodylook and virtues. Very few details have been shared so we know for sure that the revamped Avensis will arrive with an overhaul of the engine range which will offer remarkable efficiency and performance.

The styling at the front end has been tweaked as well and is now brought into line with that of the rest of the most – recently produced cars by Toyota. Now, the silhouette of the 2015 Toyota Avensis is underscored by new and very attractive and more angular headlamps with integrated daytime running lights, more aggressive bumper and well – crafted bonnet. Alterations have been made at the rear too. The updates include new lights and nicely – designed bumper. Additionally, the chases is also expected to receive some cosmetic changes.

Even though we can’t see the interior of this Toyota, fresh touches are said to have been added to the cabin as well. It now features a Safety Sense active safety technology that ensures better driving experience.

Toyota Avensis is expected to go on sale in UK this summer.

Redesigned Toyota Prius c: Hot or Not?

Toyota‘s hybrid Prius c range welcomes the new year with a refined exterior, interior and dynamics. Australia’s most affordable hybrid car now demonstrates sharper outline and enhanced driving environment both of which add to the smooth experience on the road. What makes this car even better than before is the reduced price and we all know that when a great car comes for less it becomes even greater. By dropping the price to $22,990 for the standard Prius c and $25,990 for the high-grade Prius c i-Tech, Toyota really gives a late Christmas present which everyone will embrace without thinking twice.

So let’s cut to the chase now. Staying true to all Toyota hybrids, the Prius c can run on either just the petrol engine, the battery alone, or can use a combination of both. Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive combines the output of a petrol engine and electric motor by taking advantage of an innovative planetary-type continuously variable transmission. The 1.5-litre petrol engine generates 54 kW while the electric motor produces 45 kW. The combined power output then is that of 74 kW. Maximum torque is estimated at 111 Nm from the engine and 169 Nm from the motor. On the combined fuel-consumption test cycle, Prius c uses just 3.9 litres per 100km using 91 RON regular unleaded petrol. CO2 emissions are 90 grams/km.

In terms of the exterior, 2015 Toyota Prius c exhibits a refreshed style which features a more aggressive hexagonal grille. Moreover, the reshaped headlights provide a sharper appearance – halogen for the entry grade and a bi-LED lamp for Toyota Prius c i-Tech. The sculpturing of the automobile is further reinforced by a larger rear spoiler and new wheel covers adopted for the 15-inch steel wheels on the standard car. The i-Tech keeps its 15-inch alloy wheels. Yet, both grades arrive with full-size spares. Three new vibrant colours are available and include: Tango (orange), Aura (light blue) and Zest (lime).

Inside, there’s a new fabric upholstery. The standard grade is able to impress thanks to the black with dark blue facings while the i-Tech’s dark-grey seats are adorned by silver stitching that can also be seen on the steering wheel. Both Prius c models are fitted with reversing camera, seven airbags, vehicle stability and traction control, anti-skid brakes, hill-start assist control and cruise control.

Toyota to Debut Camry and Corolla Special Editions, and Updated Avalon

Toyota has released a teaser image and a statement to introduce the refreshed 2016 Avalon model at the Chicago Auto Show. The new sedan will be revealed next Thursday on 12^th of February. What is more, the Japanese company will also make another two debuts. They are for the 2016 Camry and Corolla Special Editions. These are limited production models that are equipped with unique sport-themed features.

To redesign the 2015 Camry, Toyota literally changed almost everything and re-engineered nearly 2,000 parts. The only thing unchanged was the roof. Now, the new Special Edition adds to the bold look of the car an extra dose of both aggressiveness and technology.

It is based on the SE trim level, powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission. It will come standard with the Star Safety System.

This limited production Camry will add to the appeal of its exterior unique 18-inch alloy wheels with machined face contrasted with gloss black painted accents, power tilt/slide moonroof and smoked tail lamp treatment as well as and unique exterior badge. It will be offered in two colors: Blizzard Pearl and new Blue Streak Metallic.

Inside, the sports seats trimmed with black SofTex bolsters and blue patterned inserts will feature high contrast blue stitching. The same design treatment is included in the shift boot and dash. Among other goodies are sport meter cluster with blue details and white background, Entune Audio Plus, Smart Key with Pushbutton Start, Qi wireless charging and floor mats with logo.

The next vehicle to have a Special Edition is the Corolla and it is based on the S Plus grade. Sporty styling features, inside and out, complement the car. Next to the new steering wheel paddle shifters, rear disc brakes and Sport Driving Mode, there is an array of additional standard features.

Precisely it adds 17-inch alloy wheels with gloss black finish and just like the Camry – unique exterior badge. The car will be offered in three distinctive colors: Absolutely Red, Black Sand Pearl and Super White.

The interior is one-of-a-kind thanks to the black design scheme with red contrast stitching. Red accents are also featured on the dash and door trim. There is also Smart Key System with pushbutton start and floor mats with logo. Here, the tilt/slide moonroof is available as an option.

Another option for Camry and Corolla Special Editions is the Entune Premium Audio with Navigation and App Suite.

2016 Camry Special Edition will have a limited production of 12,000 units and will run from August to January. 2016 The Corolla Special Edition will be produced between August and December and will be limited to 8,000 units.
