  • Vorsteiner Porsche 991 Carrera V-GT

Vorsteiner-Porsche-991-Carrera-THUMBThe new Vorsteiner Porsche 991 Carrera V-GT is something that will take your mind away. Being a true Porsche it doesn’t need a performance boost … or this is in fact the opinion of the tuners from Vorsteiner.

After all, it has a 340hp 3.4 literflat six power plant that provides an electric enough feel. To go even further into details the 911 Carrera includes a rear-mounted 3.4-litre flat-six engine generating 350 hp (257 kW), and can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h only 4.5 seconds.

However, they have done some incredible work on it so it is now enhanced in terms of driving dynamics. And this is where the specialists from Vorsteiner have stepped in.

They have given the Carrera a new V-GT tuning program which includes the following: V-GT Front Add-On Spoiler Replacement Carbon Fiber with Center GT Splitter, V-GT Side Rocker Panels Add-On Carbon Fiber with integrated sill blades, V-GT Rear Diffuser Element Replacement with Integrated Aero Fins & Underbody Panel, V-GT Deck Lid Gurney Add-On Spoiler Carbon Fiber.

In addition they have equipped the car with brand new VS-110 Forged Monoblock Wheels in Bright Liquid Silver color in sizes 21x9J and 21x11J, which in turn perfectly match the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres in sizes 255x30x21 and 305x25x21.

  • Wimmer RS Porsche GT2 RS Generates 1020 Horsepower

2012-Wimmer-RS-Porsche-THUMBOriginally the Porsche GT2 RS, launched back in the 2010, was equipped with 3.6-liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder boxer engine, which generates 500 horsepower (370 kW). However, sport car enthusiasts are rarely satisfied with this number of power.

A true example for this is the specialists from the tuning company Wimmer RS, which have made the impossible and brought 1020 hp (750 kW) to this Porsche. They have given the “underpowered” supercar significantly more propulsion than “just” the series power.

To go further into details, how they have done this is via the additional in-house tuning for the engine, the two optimized Wimmer turbochargers, the optimization of the air induction, the sports camshafts and crankshaft, the timing chains, the machined cylinder heads, pistons and connecting rods, the fuel pump unit, the two manifolds with bypass and at last the two 200 cell sport catalysts, from which the power unit gets sheer inexhaustible powers.

For the great performance also contributes the flap controlled sport exhaust system. Moreover, the custom-designed 19 inch wheels in combination with a 3-way adjustable Competition-suspension from KW, are the perfect combination which makes the acceleration faster and more exciting.

In details, for the 0 to 100 km/h sprint the Porsche now needs only 3.4 seconds. And after 8.7 seconds the 120 mph mark is passed and the speed of 180 mph is reached within unbelievable 15.5 seconds.

The V-Max is indicated with 389 km/h. And this can hardly surprise anyone, since the power number is over 1020 hp (750 kW) is reached at 7,340 rpm, and the torque of 1108 Nm (820 lb-ft) is reached at 5,680 rpm.

At last, this superior tuning is destined to have a great outlook as well. The outer dull blue skin of the car is a consequence of the work of the professionals from Cam Shaft company and the foil manufacturer Bruxsafol.

The body of this Porsche model speaks for a possible car of tomorrow. For instance here the overhangs are short and the boot lid is large.

Sport Turismo’s dimentions are exactly is 75 in. (1,990 mm) width, 55 in. (1,401 mm) in height and 195 in. (4,950 mm) lenght. Its direction indicators and sidelights are integrated in C-shaped lighting units mounted in the large air inlets at the front end.

The front end is further defined by four-point LED headlights in absolutely new design. Another interesting innovation is that in the place of the conventional exterior mirrors now can be found two cameras mounted in the side air outlets whose images are shown on the displays in the cockpit.

Furthermore, the rear of the body was also reshaped. However, it keeps all of the visual characteristics of a Porsche. The rear lights in LED technology and the tail-light panel with the “Porsche” badge are sculpted in three dimensions, and the brake light can be seen between the four-point LED rear lights. The roof termination is “formed” thanks to an adaptive carbon rear spoiler which produces improved downforce.

Another visual treatment which is very impressive is the new Liquid Metal Blue color which resembles surface of a liquid metal. In addition, the contours and design lines of the car are visible more distinctively.

The wheels in dualspoke design have a bi-color look, and the brake calipers are painted Acid Green. The “e-hybrid” badges on the sides refer to the car’s drive concept, while the name “Sport

Turismo” at the rear shows car’s concept character. The milled aluminum battery housing is mounted under the boot floor, which is made of electro-chromatic glass and reveals a view of the energy source illuminated in Acid Green at the press of a button.

What is so important here is the grand technology included in this Porsche, the Sport Tourismo completes the step towards the plug-in hybrid, symbolized by the “e-hybrid” badge on the front wings.

The car can now be charged from an electrical power grid. The concept vehicle with generates exactly 416 hp (306 kW) and is designed to be driven in pure electric mode up to a speed of 80 mph (130 km/hr) and can cover distances of over 18.6 miles (30 km).

In addition, the fuel efficiency of the car is impressive as well. Combined fuel consumption is less than 3.5 liters per 100 km, while CO2 emissions are under 82 g/km.

To be even more precise the new electric motor produces about 70 kW (95 hp). At the same time the three-liter V6 supercharged engine still produces 245 kW (333 hp) here. In their interplay, they accelerate the concept car from zero to 62 mph in less than six seconds.

Being a true plug-in hybrid, the fluid-cooled lithium-ion battery is charged while driving as well as within 2.5 hours (depending on the power supply) via a charging interface on the vehicle.

And what about the interior of the car? The Sport Turismo is equipped with a large central TFT color display positioned in front of the driver. It shows all the information needed – from the tachometer to driving data or navigation.

The left and right of this camera can be seen two monitors, which are displaying images from the “exterior mirror” cameras. Two additional displays in tube form provide information on the hybrid-specific driving states.

Specifications for the 2013 Panamera Sport Turismo Concept Car:
