  • MANSORY Uprates Porsche Cayenne Turbo S to 620HP via Simple Plug & Play

MANSORY Porsche Cayenne Turbo S Front and Side ViewMANSORY Porsche Cayenne Turbo S looks devilish in this red and black dual-tone outfit. It is a true instance of luxury and class, isn’t it? This is not only because of its undisputable visual characteristics, but also because its ability to produce 550 hp (405 lb-ft) and 750 Nm (554 lb-ft) of torque. Wait … there is a hint here. These horses are only if the car is with the stock output. If this is so, then the model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds on its way to a top speed of 283 km/h.

    Vigorous Power

However, the Cayenne here has been fitted with power enhancements, which give it even more force that the production one. Even MANSORY call the new horsepower capability of the Porsche “vigorous”. The reason for this is that the experts have developed and integrated an additional engine control unit.

This additional element can be actually fitted to both Porsche Cayenne Turbo and Turbo S supercharged engines. The result is impressive and it is an extra of 50 horsepower.

    MANSORY Powerbox

MANSORY Porsche Cayenne Turbo S Engine

Via simple Plug & Play process a special Powerbox is fitted. And this is where the magic happens. The V8 under the hood of the Cayenne Turbo, which initially has the 520 hp (382 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 750 Nm (554 lb-ft) between 2.250-4.000 rpm, is now capable of pumping out 570 hp (419kW) at 6.000 rpm and 830Nm (613 lb-ft) between the same as the standard rpm range.

Of course, these enhancements also result in better acceleration time. The Cayenne Turbo needs only 4.1 seconds to cover the 0-100km/h sprint. In comparison, the standard time is 4.5 seconds.

After the power enhancements, the MANSORY Cayenne Turbo S is now capable of 620 hp (456 kW) at 6.000 rpm and 870 Nm (642 lb-ft) between 2.500-4.000 rpm. Due to this performance optimization, the time needed for the sprint from standstill to 100 km/h is mere 3.8 seconds.

  • Porsche Won the 2015 Le Mans Race After 17 Years of Absence!

Porsche has won the legendary Le Mans 24-Hours race for 2015 season. And now they are back since their last victory back in 1998. The drivers in the victorious Porsche #19 were indeed the Formula 1 celebrity Nico Hülkenberg, Nick Tendy and Earl Bamber. They demonstrated the best time in the 395 laps and were able to finish first among all other competitors.

The #19, that started from the third position achieved some incredible positions throughout the night time and scored some incredible results with Hülkenberg and Tandy. In fact, they managed to get onto the first positions after some technical issues made the vehicle get out of the road for some time.

But after the issues Bamber got behind the wheel and managed to get rid of Audi drivers in the early hours of the day, after Audi drivers had to make numerous stops. This allowed Porsche team to get a sort of double victory, after #17 finished at second place.

In fact, last on the hall of fame stepped the Audi #7 drivers, who battled with Porsche #19 throughout the night, but some technical difficulties made them stop for revisions, which is the reason why Audi pilots had to step on the third position.

In fact, Audi #8 crossed the finish line on fourth position, while Porsche #18 made it on the fifth position and after that Toyota #2, Audi #9 and Toyota #1 followed.

    1970 Porsche 914/6

1970 Porsche 914/6 was created in collaboration with Volkswagen more than 45 years ago. It came as a substitution of the VW Karman Ghia. Powered by a 2.0-liter flat-six engine that drives the rear wheels, the car generated more horsepower than the largest VW flat-four. In addition, the 914/6 GT also competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1970, ending first in its class and sixth overall.

    1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3

1982 Porsche 911 Turbo is known as 930 in the United States. It features the emblematic for the company and specifically for the 911 design with flared wheel arches and whale-tail. This one is powered by an air cooled flat-six engine, which produces 296 horsepower (218 kW), and is mated with a four- or five-speed transmission.

    1987 Porsche 959

Some called 1987 Porsche 959 is a supercar.  Back in the days it was a big “something” because all of other cars in this era were far behind. The car was exclusively built in only 230 units and there are some really interesting facts here. Each of the 959s cost more than $500,000USD to build, but was actually sold for far less than the half of this amount: $225,000 USD.

In addition, the 959 produced 450 horsepower (331 kW), which was a record at that time. The horses were generated by a sequential twin-turbo engine. 959’s even won its class in the Paris-Dakar Rally.

    1989 Porsche 944 Turbo

1989 Porsche 944 Turbo has the best performance figures in the 944 lineup. It is driven by a four-cylinder 8-valve 2.5-liter engine, delivering 250 hp (184 kW). It also features larger brakes, larger sway bars, a limited-slip differential and ABS. This model can also do a quarter mile in about 14 seconds, and the 0-60 mph sprint in 5.5 seconds on its way to a top speed of 162 mph.

    2003 Porsche Carrera GT

    2003 Porsche Carrera GT

Revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in 2003, the Porsche Carrera GT is the first concept car since the last 959 rolled off the line in 1988. Here Porsche has utilized lightweight materials like carbon-fiber for the chassis, magnesium for the wheels and titanium for the pushrods.

As a result the Carrera GT had almost zero rotational inertia. The 5.7-liter V10 powering it, produces 605 horsepower (445 kW) and can hit 124 miles per hour in less than 10 seconds and has a top speed of 205 mph.

    2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0

This is a car most of us have witnessed being born three years ago. The Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 has this amazing performance assisted by the 4.0 displacement of the flat-six engine. It also features enhanced air-flow, titanium connecting rods, and a single-mass flywheel.

    2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S

    2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S Back

Porsche 911 Turbo S is something Porsche should be proud of. Its 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six unit produces 560 horsepower (412 kW). Even better, the Turbo S is equipped with all-wheel-drive and liquid-cooled Haldex hydraulic device, which enable tighter and more stable turns at slow or high speed.

    2014 Porsche 918 Spyder

    2014 Porsche 918 Spyder

918 Spyder is considered a hypercar. The reason for this is its power estimated at more than 900 horses (662 kW). What’s interesting here is that it comes from the 4.6-liter naturally-aspirated flat crank V8 and its hybrid electrical system.

In addition, the car has been built almost entirely from carbon fiber. The 918 already set a production car lap record at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. What is more, it shattered the production car record at the Nürburgring by 14 seconds. All in all, it is a representation of world’ newest highest performing vehicles.

    2015 Porsche Macan Turbo

2015 Porsche Macan Turbo Front and Side View

Although it is a SUV, the Porsche Macan Turbo is one of the best-selling models in company’s line-up. It is beautiful and powerful at the same time, and no one did expect to see such amazing SUV in the beginning. This is why it deserves a place in the Porsche’s Forza Horizon 2 Expansion Pack.

    2015 Porsche Cayman GTS

    2015 Porsche Cayman GTS

At last, the 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS which was recently announced is also featured in the expansion pack. It features a mid-engine design, no back seats, less weight and improved balance. And it is the perfect car to be featured for Xbox one competing. Who will chose it?

TECHART is a company known for its fantastic work on Porsche models. Now it is releasing a special Air Suspension “Sport” module for the Macan and Cayenne models. When equipped with it the vehicle will benefit of sportier driving dynamics, enhance athletic looks and greater comfortability. The module has the capability of lowering the vehicles up to 22 mm, depending on the model.

To go into details, the exclusive feature is an added function which has been praised since it was revealed on company’s plug-in systems for previous Porsche models with air suspension. There are several modes of adjustment, that offer more direct and agile ride height levels.

The Macan can be lowered by 10mm in Normal Level, while the Sport Plus mode and the Low Level bring the vehicle closer to the ground with 20 mm. The Terrain Level is that one which has been kept the same as the standard level.

What is more, there is even a Loading level that allows for easier loading of the luggage compartment. In this mode, the rear end of the Macan can be lowered even more in order to achieve the added comfort.

The height of the chassis of the Cayenne, when equipped with this feature, can be reduced by 22 mm in Normal Level and by 10 mm in Low Level.

At last, the specialists have developed the unique Automatic Parking Level feature for both Porsche models. How does it work? After locking the vehicle, the body is automatically lowered by another 30 mm or 20 mm, in case of the Macan and Cayenne, respectively. As a result, both get a one-off appearance, which distinguishes them from the standard series models.

  • Kaege Changes Porsche 997 GT3 Clubsport

Kaege is another tuning company working in Germany and optimizing exclusive cars. The current example shows how they have managed to tune the outstanding Porsche 997 GT3. Originally the car is powered by a 3.6 liters engine that generates 415 HP (305 kW). The wish of the client was to make the performance of the car far better.

So basically the expert succeeded in the modification of the sports Porsche and this is how they have done it. At first, the car received M+M noise reduction system as well as racing header. The tuners also added 200 cells catalysts and then modified the air filter in order to enhance the output by 8 hp. As a result of these steps, the weight of the car was lowered with 7 kg.

SEE ALSO: Porsche Boxster and Cayman with new Engines In 2016

The hydraulic pump was substituted with an electric power steering pump, thus distributing the weight from the rear to the front and improving the response and performance (with additional 10 hp) of the car.

What lightens the weight of the car even more, by 8 kg actually, is the single mass flywheel including Sachs sports clutch, which also contributes towards additional 5 hp. Lithium-ions battery and RS rear window were installed, thus saving another 32 kg.

The car runs on special 19-inch red extra red coated ATS superlight rims, fitted with Michelin Pilot Cup2 tires with Porsche-specific N-label. And as you can guess they also result in a total weight economy of 13.5 kg. Triple KW clubsport running gear with uniball bearing and tie rods take car for the road holding.

All in all, the saved weight estimates around 60 kg, while additional horses are rated at 23 hp (17 kW), and this is without any software optimization.

Of course, the tuners ensured great sporting experience inside, where the lightweight seats have been wrapped in retro-checkered fabric, while the central console, the rollover cage and different interior parts have been painted in car’s color. At last, the steering wheel was newly covered and the trunk was cleaned.

What’s left unsaid is the special travel and helmet bag made of the same to the seats cover fabric.

  • Porsche Demonstrates Three Models, That Will Compete in 2015 Le Mans Race

The official Pre-test for the 2015 Le Mans 24-race will finally see what Porsche has to offer: three 919 Hybrid models, that will be colored in red, black and white. And of course, every color represents something, that Porsche team believes in. Let’s see what.

The red prototype represents Tradition and it will race under number 17 with drivers Timo Bernhard (Germany), Brendon Hartley (New Zealand) and Mark Webber (Australia). In fact, the car number and the color red are a special tribute to the Porsche vehicle, that, back in 1970, won a total of 16 races in Le Mans.

SEE ALSO: Porsche Boxster and Cayman with new Engines In 2016

The black prototype LMP1 with number 18 represents Technology. This number is, in fact, a symbol for the technical relationship between the 919 Hybrid model and the 918 Spyder sports car. Furthermore, a black 918 model set a record for fastest lap back in 2013, as the vehicle travelled more than 20 kilometers in 6 minutes and 57 seconds. The brave driver was Marc Lieb (GER), who will also be competing this year again and he will use one more time the 919 model. The other drivers are Romain Dumas (France) and Neel Jani (Switzerland)

And the third car is a symbol of a Return and will proudly bear number 19. The white color represents the return after a long, 16-year absence. The color will also be used with the two Porsche 911 RSR vehicles, that will compete in the GTE Pro Class. In this year’s Le Mans the 919 Hybrid will be driven by Earl Bamber (New Zealand), Nico Hülkenberg (Germany) and Nick Tandy (Great Britain)

We all know how tough the Le Mans race is and that it contains lots of science, unseen by ordinary people and we hope, that the three Porsche vehicles will not only represent tradition, technology and return, but also success and victory!

  • Porsche Boxster and Cayman with new Engines In 2016

For those who are missing an update in Porsche’s Boxster and Cayman GTS, we have good news … or not that good, actually. The models were introduced last year in March and since then there was nothing significant going on around them. We got here and there some exclusive tunings, but it is not like the officially released statement that both cars will be getting four-cylinder turbo engines.

Back in March we understood that the (current for now) Boxster and Cayman GTS range is powered by a 3.4 liter flat-six engine, which generates no less than 330hp (243 kW) for the Boxster and 340 (250 kW) for the Cayman. The torque is 370Nm (273 lb-ft) and 380Nm (280 lb-ft), respectively. In addition, both cars got the Chrono package as a standard.

SEE ALSO: Porsche Cayman GT4: Designed to Impress

With these numbers the Boxster is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, while the Cayman is a little bit faster: it covers the sprint in 4.6 seconds. Top speeds are of 281 km/h (175 mph) and 285 km/h (177 mph), respectively.

So, what’s the problem here? Obviously, Porsche is considering these numbers too much. Given that there are new EU emission standards, Porsche’s CEO, Matthias Müller, said that from the beginning of 2016 the cars will be available with turbocharged four-cylinder boxer engines.

The possible and rumored displacements are to be 2.0-litre and 2.5-litre. But, there is no need to cry, because the flat-six will be still available for enthusiasts.

  • Porsche Releases Boxster and 911 Carrera Black Editions

Two special cars are part of Black Edition series by Porsche: the 911 Carrera and the Boxter models. What do they feature? First to mention is the combination of black exterior and interior. The goal of the company is to highlight the timeless but straightforward elegance of the iconic cars. Both Black Editions share many things in common, but worthy of mentioning are the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation module, automatically dimming rear-view mirrors, rain sensor, cruise control and Sport Design steering wheel, which come as a standard.

    Porsche 911 Carrera Black Edition

As a basis for this one is used the basic model in a coupe or cabrio variant. It is propelled by a 3.4 liter flat unit, which is capable of producing 350 hp (257 kW). Available with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, this special edition runs on 20-inch 911 Turbo wheels. Other special features include the LED headlights combined with the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+).

SEE ALSO: Exclusive: Gemballa Porsche 980 Carrera Mirage GT Black Edition

Inside, the standard equipment throughout the black interior include heated sports seats for the driver and passenger, Bose Surround Sound System, telephone module and front and rear Park Assist with reversing camera.

    Posche Boxster Black Edition

This one is as attractive as its sibling, although it is powered by less potent 2.7 litre flat engine that produces 265 hp (195 kW). Unlike the 911 Carrera, the Boxter is offered only in a cabrio variant. And when it comes to soft top and rollover protection bar, the colour concept remains consistent.

What’s exclusive for this special edition? It features wind deflector, which helps in avoiding undesirable turbulence, 20-inch Carrera Classic wheels and the bi-xenon headlights plus PDLS. Inside, the driver and passenger enjoy a two-zone air conditioning and heated seats, and a Sound Package Plus.

The Black Edition series are available for the Boxter Cabrio, 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera 4 both in coupe and convertible forms. All five are currently on sale.
