  • Mcchip-Dkr Mercedes-Benz SLS 63 AMG MC700 Generates Up To 706 Horsepower

Mcchip-Dkr-Mercedes-Benz-SLS-63-THUMBMcchip-Dkr Mercedes-Benz SLS 63 AMG MC700 is undisputed synonym for luxurious sportiness, not only because of its inherited qualities, but also because it was additionally enhanced and now can generate 706 horsepower (520 kw).

The specialist from Mcchip-Dkr has achieved this incredible number. The originally installed AMG-internal M 159 high-rev V8-engine of the SLS 63 AMG produced 571 hp (420 kW) and had a maximum torque of 650 Nm (480 lb-ft). However, the power-upgrade here consisting of a supercharger kit-program „Stage 2“ included an in-house description “MC700”, was one of the elements that changed those numbers.

But first of all, the “Stage 1” of the upgrade was operated by means of mechanically driven compressor and it came along in addition to a pure compressor-kit. Then, the Stage 3-Software-Upgrade came with a high-end-exhaust system together with a valve control system. The latter added more efficiency to the qualities of the Mercedes-Benz.

The end result of those three stages is 680 hp (500 kW) and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) of maximum torque. However, this wasn’t the end of the improvement of this supersports car. Through sports catalytic converters and further aggravated software named Stage 4, the 706 hp (520 kW) were eventually possible. The optimal torque here is 793 Nm (585 lb-ft).

Furthermore, the KW DDC- or HLS 4-sports chassis raised SLS AMG on both axles up to standard level. Additionally to this a complete matt/grey foliation was added and it was perfectly accentuated by red applications.

  • Wrapping Foil Instead of Paint Coating: CUT48 Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR

CUT48-Mercedes-Benz-McLaren-SLR-THUMBCUT48 Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR looks astonishing, doesn’t it? This absolutely stunning appearance of the car has been achieved not thanks to a standard paint coating, but instead – thanks to the utilization of wrapping foil.

The result is undoubtedly quite far from any expectations. The company CUT48, famous for handwork car wrapping foil, worked with precision in order to get to this final effect. This refers to the choice of foil, design and coordination of colors.

The individualization of the car had lead to a unique handmade masterpiece: the originally silver McLaren SLR was packed in blue and black gloss wrapping foil. In addition to the stunning visual attributes, this Mercedes-Benz has undergone a power upgrade at EDO Competition.

This means that the SLR can now generate over 722 hp (530 kW) and has a maximal torque of 890 Nm (657 lb-ft). In particular, the power enhancers installed electronic tuning of the ECU, sport air filters and new sport catalytic converters, modified compressor work, new exhaust manifold and modified intake system.

What is more, the 200 km/h is reached in less than 10 seconds, on the way of the supercar of its maximal speed of 345 km/h. In addition, the super sound of the car is further enhanced thanks to the installation of a stainless steel sport exhaust system.

  • 2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class BlueEFFICIENCY Edition

Mercedes-Benz is now adding two particularly fuel-efficient and eco-friendly BlueEFFICIENCY Edition models to the range: the 180 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY and the 180 BlueEFFICIENCY Edition petrol.

The fuel consumption of the BlueEFFICIENCY Edition models is even lower than for the basic vehicles– by 0.2 (diesel) and 0.3 l/100 km (petrol) respectively, representing an improvement of five percent in each case. This means – 3.6 liters / 100 km with CO2 of 92 g/km for the CDI and 5.2 liters / 100 km with 120 g/km CO2 for the petrol variant.

The 180 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY is a 1.5 liter diesel with 109HP (80 kW) and the 180 BlueEFFICIENCY petrol is a 1.6 liter naturally aspirated engine with 122HP (90 kW).

Factors contributing to the lower fuel consumption are: better Cd value of the A-Class from 0.27 – already a record for hatchback vehicles in this segment – to 0.26. Additional aerodynamic optimisation measures include, for example, the partial covering of the upper section of the radiator grille, aerodynamically shaped spring link coverings that improve the flow of air along the underbody at the rear axle, and a suspension that has been lowered by 15 mm.

The generator management system has also been revised, as has the manual transmission, which now features longer gear ratios in the higher gears. Visually, the BlueEFFICIENCY Edition models are differentiated by round LED daytime running lamps set into the bumper, assuming that customers have not selected either of the available options of bi-xenon headlamps or the Intelligent Light System.

The models will go on sale on 1 February 2013, while the first vehicles will reach customers in March 2013.
