  • See How this Mercedes C63 AMG is Boosted to 590HP [VIDEO]

Let me introduce you to this more powerful C63 AMG. You might think that it is enough for a Mercedes to carry the AMG designation, but many are on a different opinion. It seems that for the tuners at DTE-Systems, a new German customization studio, car’s stock 476 hp aren’t enough, because these are the horses that the new variant of the vehicle produces.

The main goal of the modification specialists was to prepare the car in the battle for supremacy against rivals like the BMW M3 and Audi RS4. Hence, they have created a special performance enhancement package for the C63 AMG, called DTE FSR14.

The in-house made chip-tuning have boosted the power and torque of the 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine of the emblematic model with 116 hp and 166 Nm. Therefore the horses have grown from 476 hp (350 kW) to 590 hp (434 kW), while the torque from 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) to 816 Nm (602 lb-ft). Now, that’s a thing, isn’t it?

In addition, the development engineers also reshaped the power and torque delivery characteristics, thus ensuring optimum everyday driveability. And in order to ensure maximum performance accompanied by minimum load, DTE-Systems have utilized multi-map technology that offers a choice of driving behavior.

At last, you can also check out the video, which shows the performance enhancement done for this Mercedes-Benz:

  • Lorinser’s Makeover for this Mercedes C400 is Good but not Enough?

Lorinser is a tuning company famous for its Mercedes-Benz makeovers and this is the reason we are currently making this review. The car under the sport is the C400 4Matic, which has received a numbers of tweaks that increase its visual characteristics and performance capabilities. It is a well known fact that the latest C-Class inherits brand’s iconic power as well as athleticism.

    Exterior Tuning

The first thing that one sees in this car is the changed emblem, which now features tuner’s name. It is also obvious that the vehicle has been given black front grille as well as new front and rear bumpers. Five spoke alloys are a necessity, too.

SEE ALSO: 2016 Mercedes G550: 35 Years of Confidence and Tradition

At the back of the car, under the new bumper, the tuners have added a new exhaust system. It features four-tailpipes and in contrast to the overall black-out theme, it is in bright silver finish. Basically, these features round-out the exterior treatment for this Mercedes and let us proceed to the changes under the hood.

    Engine

The 3.0-liter V6 powerplant has be modified via a software and now produces 389 PS (286 kW) and 580 Nm (428 lb-ft) of torque. This is an increase of 56 PS and 100 Nm in comparison to the original engine, which without any treatment delivers 333 PS and 480 Nm. When it comes to acceleration we are sure of one thing: the car can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5.2 seconds on its way to a top speed of 250 km/h that hasn’t been changed.

All in all, Lorinser has created a really nice project, but I am missing some interior changes, as well as more fresh and shiny details to the exterior. What is your opinion?

The engine of the C-Class is mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission, while this of the AMG GT to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7G dual-clutch transmission, which explains why the torque of the latter car is lower.

Furthermore, Posaidon engineers are currently working on additional updates for the M177 and M178 engines. For their improvement they will use new turbochargers, free-flow exhaust systems and other hardware changes. At last, for additional safety, the tuners offer speed camera warning system which is integrated within the factory navigation system.
