Jaguar Releases F-TYPE R Bloodhound SSC Rapid Response Vehicle

In several days, ten exactly, Jaguar will unveil the so called Jaguar F-TYPE R AWD Bloodhound SSC Rapid Response Vehicle, which you can see in the pictures above. It has bee just unveiled with some specifics around the vehicle. The world debut will happen at the Coventry MotoFest and this F-Type will be one of the cars supporting the Bloodhound world land speed record attempt.

The Bloodhound F-TYPE R is wrapped in a bespoke livery, which has been specifically created for this occasion and therefore it features the Bloodhound SSC colours. It is powered by Jaguar’s 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine, capable of producing 550 PS (404 kW).

These horses will help the vehicle achieve the goal. In fact, this Jaguar is fitted with the same radio equipment as the rocket powered Bloodhound SSC. In addition, it is driven head-to-head at top speed with a similarly equipped jet flown at 500 knots and just 20 feet above the ground.

What is more, the total closing speed of almost 700mph enabled the successful test of the system. This in turn will allow communications between the ground crew and Andy Green in Bloodhound SSC.

The famous company is also a Technical Partner of Bloodhound SSC, therefore it supplies it with engines, engineering expertise and support to vehicles attempting to break the world land speed record.

Other Jaguar vehicles that will be on display there are the historic 1953 C-type, the 1956 D-type Long Nose and the 1966 XJ1, the 1974 Group 44 E-type, the 1976 Broadspeed XJ12 Coupé and the 1988 Le Mans-winning XJR-9. The 1938 SS 100 will be on static display for those visiting the event.

This year’s Coventry MotoFest starts on 29 May and will continue till Sunday 31 May.

Classic Jaguar Models Take Place at the 2015 Mille Miglia Event

Jaguar customers and fans will have the chance to see the 1,000-mile loop in Italy with some of the brand’s iconic models. There will be three C-types, three D-types, one XK120, one Xk140 and MK VII sallon. Held from May 14-17, 2015, the Mille Migia will offer challenges and tests for both vehicles and drivers. The event itself will begin and end in Brecia, but it will go through numerous Italian cities, including Rome.

The C-type models

The first C-type vehicle is already familiar with the Mille Miglia road, as it competed 62 years ago in the original race back in 1953 and it was driven by Mario Tadini and Franco Cortese. This is one of three models, that together form the Jaguar Heritage Trust and will be driven by Jaguar Vehicle Integrity Chief Engineer Mike Cross.

The second C-type wears the unique “KSF 182” registration number and it was the same vehicle, that Jimmy Stewart and Sir Jackie Steward were using during 1952 to 1955. Now it will be driven by the five-time winner of the le Mans 24-hour, three-time Daytona 24-hour winner and veteran Derek Bell. In fact, Bell is a guest of art collector and classic car enthusiast Adam Lindemann.

The last C-type is really a special one. It comes with registration number “PUG 676” and it took place in races in the post-World-War II era and now it will be driven by its owner, Royal Automobile Club Motoring Committee Chairman, Ben Cussons.

The D-type models

When we talk about Jaguar, the participation will not be complete without the one and only D-type. This year’s Mille Miglia will meet the “NVC 260”, that competed in not just one Mille Miglias competition back in the ’80s. But the car also took place in races back in 1956 and 1957 and now it will be driven by its owner, one of the world’s most respected experts, when it comes to classic cars, Simon Kidston.

Other D-type models, that will take place in the event are the “RSF 303” and the “393 RW”, that took place in numerous races in the ’50s. The Ecurie Ecosse D-type “RSF 303” was especially created for the 1957 le Mans race, but took part in Mille Miglia events in the same year and the next one. Now, it will be driven by Jaguar Design Director, Ian Callum.

The other model, the “393 RW” made 1956 a really special year for Jaguar by winning the 12-hour of Reims and finished in the sixth place and even setting the fastest lap at le Mans in the same year. This well-known machine and veteran will be driven by host of the hugely popular BBC One show, Saturday Kitchen and well-known chef, James Martin.

And there is good news for customers. They will be given the chance to drive C-type, D-type or E-type especially at Jaguar’s test facility at Fen end in West Midlands. Fans can choose between one-hour test drives, a half-day Le Mans race-themed special event or a full-day “Grace and Pace” programme.

The XK120 and XK140 models

Despite the fact Jaguar brand doesn’t offer test drive for the MK VII saloon, customers will still be given chance to see for themselves why this is one of the most remarkable cars of one entire era via jaguar’s social media platform. The legendary vehicle will be driven by adventurer Charley Boorman.

And with a bit of additional glamour, the 2015 Mille Miglia challenge will include also the TV presenter and current host of Channel 5’s The Classic Car Show Jodie Kidd, who will drive the stunning “Betsey”: the Jaguar “OOF 748”, just as he did in the 2014 trial. But this time she will be partnering with the classic car enthusiast David Gandy.

There is one more car, that will take part in 2015 Mille Miglia. This is the Jaguar XK140, which came in 1954 as a heir to the XK120. The car was owned by the successful British racer David Hobbs and back in 2006 it was completely restored by Trevor Groom and now, in 2015 it will be driven by Elliot Gleave.

2015 Jaguar XE Wins Diesel Magazine Award

Jaguar XE has won the prestigious award Best Large Car in 2015 Diesel Car Magazine Awards. The prestigious vehicle had to deal with rough path and serious competitors as the BMW 3 Series and Ford Mondeo. However, Jaguar XE now stands proudly with its first place award. Let’s see what happened.

The judges chose the Jaguar because of the compettitive pricing, wonderful looks, cozy interior and low CO2 emissions. Ian Rober, Diesel Car Editor says, that it is thrilling and interesting to see how a Jaguar vehicle beats Germans in their own game.

In fact, the Jaguar XE is the one car in its class, that includes lightweight aluminum material, that, combined with the high-performance, yet efficient Ingenium diesel engine delivers just 78mpg and 99g/km CO2.

The car itself comes with 161 hp (120 kW) 2.0-Liter diesel powerplant, that is a part of the special Ingenium engine family. The engine produces a total of 380 Nm of torque, which forms 1,750 rpm.

Besides the engine, one of the biggest changes in the XE model is the suspension and steering systems. The rear suspension comes with incredibly strong, yet lightweight components, that ensure smooth and pleasurable drive.

PIECHA with Evolutionary Design for the Jaguar F-Type

This week’s project by PIECHA Design involves the mighty Jaguar F-Type. This time under the spot isn’t the roadster but the coupe. The unique interpretation of the famous car is called “Evolution” because it brings the iconic British car to the next level. Although there isn’t any change to the 3.0-liter V6 engine, the car looks sportier than ever and creates the feeling of more athleticism.

There are several reasons for this. First of all, the motorsport expression of the Jaguar is strengthened by new aero front spoiler and side sills. In addition to this, PIECHA designed a larger rear diffuser, which was then framed by a color-coded undertray.

It featured an extended frame to improve the stability of the car and to further reduce drag. What is more, the big exhaust outlets are accompanied by stainless steel grille inserts.

At the back, we see a three-piece integrated rear spoiler lip, which is positioned on the end of the rear hatch lid. It additionally minimizes the drag and lift over the rear axle. As an option, the tuner is also offering GT rear wing, which not only improve car’s visual stance, but also creates more downforce.

This project is all about aerodynamic enhancements. This means that it can’t go without any lowering. A set of springs drops the ride height by 30mm. This is then combined with a choice of 20 or 21-inch diameter alloys that add a wider stance to the car. At last, a more spontaneous throttle response is ensured via in-house made power converter module.

Tailor Made F-Type Roadster Released by PIECHA Design

PIECHA Design Jaguar F-Type Roadster Front View As inspiring as it might sound, the Jaguar F-Type roadster has just received some tuning modifications from the specialists at PIECHA Design. The car looks great, because it features new styling tweaks, aerodynamic components and alloys. The complete F-Type programme will be available for the 3.0-litre V6 and 5.0-litre V8 powered roadster and coupe variants.

From what we can see, the car looks wider. This is due to the side sill wings that were integrated into vehicle’s lower flanks, additionally emphasizing its sleek and wider proportions. The aerodynamically sculpted Front-Cup-Wings reduce the lift and clear the air around the nose.

Other functional equipment is the black standard rear underbody diffuser that features a couple of vertical stabilizing fins, which also eases airflow separation and reduces drag. In addition, there is a contoured body colored under-tray and stainless steel grille inserts as well as new four exhaust tail pipes that measure 90 mm.

There is also an in-house made rear spoiler lip which sits on the edge of the tail. This is perfectly understandable, of course, because we are all individuals and we all have our own opinions on what makes the perfect vehicle.

There are plenty of people who will choose a brand new, fresh from the showroom SUV. Tough, robust and dripping with attitude, this choice is perfect for those men and women who want to be seen. Many of these cars represent the pinnacle of car fashion these days, so you can understand why this will prove to be a common pick.

It goes without saying, however, that many others will look for inspiration from the past. Sleek, sexy sports cars from yesteryear will always hold a certain kudos among both aficionados and people with only a passing interest in motors. You can be sure that, once they’ve received their winnings, many will head straight to the showroom.

One of the reasons for choosing a sports car from the past is the association with a certain type of glamor. After all, it’s easy to take a Jaguar E-Type for a spin along a deserted mountain road and imagine you are Steve McQueen or Paul Newman and that you’re on your way to visit Audrey Hepburn at her south of France hotel.

We all love to be fast, but we all need to be safe, too

This brings up an interesting question, however, about our attitude to motoring and our relationship with cars. If you have to choose between speed and safety, do you know for sure which option you will take? Sports cars of the past – and the present, too – have plenty of speed but they aren’t always as safe as we would like them.

We all hope that we will never feel the need to contact a motoring lawyer in order to make a road injury claim, of course, but if we continue to drive cars that aren’t as safe as others it could happen more often than we would like. New York Auto Show at a Glance. What to Expect?

2016 Jaguar XF Debuting in New York Some of the most anticipated automobile brands have recently announced their participation in New York International Auto Show. Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Ford, Kia, Scion, Aston Martin and Smart disclose new models and features, that are definately a must see. We told you about most of them, but let us remind why you should be exited. There are many things, that woud be on the world’s press.

The striking and crushing Vulcan debuted at the Geneva Motor Show. Definately a honorable addition to the luxorious hi-end line, that already includes the Vanquish Carbon, Rapide S, DB9, V12 Vantage S and the V8 Vantage GT Roadster. “The Vulcan” erupts with stunning 800 plus hp (500kW) and a special driver program for owners, who want to get more experienced on a sports track. Definately a beast, that deserves it’s place on the show.

The well-known for quality and style Mercedes-Benz brand decided to debut its high-performance SUV machines. Yes, we are talking about the AMG GLE63 4MATIC and GLE63 S 4MATIC. The revised models include serious changes, that modify the front and tail ends to bring you even better overall performance and new standard for emission wastes.

Next, Kia team decided to premiere the 2016 Optima. It will come with numerous powerplant options, a bigger interior, some new premium features and complete pack of technology tweaks. The best selling and award-winning Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is also making its debut in New York. Don’t miss your chance to witness such a vehicle. And speaking of exclusivity, a V8, carbon fibre two seater is coming your way and it is named McLaren 570S Coupe. Jaguar XF Revealed via Strenuous High-Wire Journey [VIDEOS]

2016 Jaguar XF has been officially unveiled via a dramatic three minute, 787ft ‘high wire’ journey. This has happened in London, and specifically at the famous Canary Wharf over the Royal Dock. The person behind the steering wheel was Jim Dowdell, who is a veteran stuntman famous for his Bond, Bourne and Indiana Jones movies. There is a video below, where you will find out how this has been achieved and whether it was successful or not.

The new XF will also make a North American debut at the New York Auto Show. Basically, the car is an expression of refinement and luxury emphasized via its outstanding interior and athletic coupe-like design. In fact, the XF is based on Jaguar’s aluminum-intensive architecture, thus having exceptional proportions. The car is 7mm (0.3in) shorter and 3mm (0.1in) lower, while the wheelbase in 51mm (2in) longer.

Under the hood we have one of the two 3.0-liter supercharged V6 engines. The first one produces the combination 340 hp (250 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft), while the second one: 380 hp (280 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). Both engines are coupled with the eight-speed automatic transmission.

And regarding the excellent steering feel and response, Jaguar has ensured that there is a system that takes care for that. It is called Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) system. Other technology features that need to be mentioned are the Adaptive Dynamics, the Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD) that delivers rear-drive handling and the All-Surface Progress Control system that helps in adverse conditions.

Speaking of luxury, the cabin is filled with the finest materials and the latest technology features like the new Jaguar InControl Touch Pro premium infotainment system1 and a 12.3-inch TFT instrument cluster. The company will also offer abundance of available features like the additional advanced driver assistance systems, featuring the full-LED headlights and Laser Heads-Up Display.

Jaguar XF Embarks on Dramatic High-Wire Journey [VIDEO]

2016 Jaguar XF has just been announced via a video and two images, one of which reveals its luxury interior. The short film says that on 24^th of March something involving the car will be happening. Precisely, the new XF will make a not very typical journey across London and this is great news, because we will see it a week earlier ahead of its official debut in New York.

Ok, let me tell you a secret now, this extraordinary drive will be something really spectacular. The company has collaborated with the stuntman Jim Dowdall, who we have seen in the latest Bond and Indiana Jones movies. He will perform the high-wire water crossing in the 2016 XF, making him world’s first to do that.

Precisely, he will drive across two 34mm-diameter wires high above water. The purpose of this is to show the lightweight and agile characteristics of the new model. And if you want to follow the happening, but you are not London-based, then there is good news for you, since everything will be streamed online at Jaguar’s official web page.

Also revealed by Jaguar is that the XF will be based on the new advanced aluminum-intensive architecture. While we wait for the car to make a market debut this fall, we are still eager to see the promised outstanding qualities in terms of technology, luxury and comfort.

Abundant Range of Features Added to Jaguar XE [VIDEO]

The release of abundant variety of accessories has been just announced for the Jaguar XE model. Idris Elba Tests Jaguar XE’s Technology and Economical Credentials [VIDEO]

It’s a driver-focused car! It is the car injected with sophistication, dynamism and spectacular strength! It is the ultimate car! This is the Jaguar XE! On this very day, the automaker showed the final film consisting of several short videos which documented Idris Elba’s epic road trip from London to Berlin in this impressive vehicle.

Firstly, the journey begins with XE powered by 2.0-litre i4 diesel which delivers 163 PS (120 kW). Driving this great car, the actor tried to push its eminent technology and economical credentials to the very limit by covering 750 miles (1200 km). Despite the fact that the road trip took Elba through challenging winter weather conditions in Europe, the real world car turned out to be… well, a real world car. Still achieving 65 mpg, the fitted with winter tires sedan proved to be a head-turner!

Idris also drove a Jaguar XE S with the racing legend Martin Brundle at Spa Francorchamps racing circuit in Belgium. The XE S is powered by a 3.0-litre petrol power unit which is capable of delivering 340 PS (250 kW).

750 Miles (1200 KM) and three days later, Idris arrived at a glamorous Jaguar party at Berlin’s Umspannwerk where the Berlin launch of the XE was celebrated.
