  • Dodge sold out all of the Viper Final Editions. In a matter of minutes

    2017 Viper Snakeskin Edition ACR

Dodge Viper goes fast. We all know that. But what did we not know is how fast it goes. You may wonder what I mean? Well, after first going on sale on Friday, June 24, the 206 special edition 2017 Dodge 25th Anniversary is sold out. Totally.

The leader of the selling spree was the 1:28 Edition ACR. There were a total of 28 units that were sold in about 40 minutes. Vooodoo II Edition ACRs were sold in 2 hours. All 31 vehicles. Snakeskin Edition GTC and the GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR with 25 and 100 units respectively found their owners in two days. And the 22 Dodge Dealer Edition ACRs? There were 5 days needed for this one.

At the same time, the new ACR version of the Snakeskin Edition will include a total of 31 vehicles that are exclusively created to continue the celebration of the 25th anniversary celebrations. Orders will be available in mid-July.

So, let’s take a look to the vehicles one more time.

    2017 Viper Snakeskin Edition ACR

    2017 Viper Snakeskin Edition ACR

This one features (you don’t say!) the new Snakeskin Green exterior color scheme and a custom snakeskin-pattern SRT stripe. Also part of the standard equipment is the ACR Package, the Extreme Aero Package, carbon ceramic brakes, ACR interior with serialized instrument panel and exclusive Snakeskin badging and custom car cover with matching exterior paint and custom name on driver’s door.

    Viper 1:28 Edition ACR

This vehicle pays tribute to the current production car that brоke the current lap time record with a time of 1:28.65. This was achieved with Randy Pobst behind the wheel in a 2016 Dodge Viper ACR at the historic Laguna Seca Raceway in Moterey, California, back in October, 2015.

The vehicle itself comes with black exterior and red rear wing with ACR stripes. It is geared with Extreme Aero Package, Carbon Ceramic brakes, special 1:28 sill decal, ACR interior with red stitching, serialized instrument panel and exclusive badges.

    Viper VoooDoo II Edition ACR

VoooDoo II edition ACR offers black exterior color scheme with graphite metallic ACR driver’s stripe with red tracer outline, Extreme Aero Package, Carbon Ceramic brakes, VoooDoo II exterior sill decals, ACR interior with silver accents, serialized instrument panel, custom badges and this very same car cover with matching color. Cool.

  • The Viper is DEAD. Dodge says last goodbye with five limited edition models

Dodge Viper Final Editions external viewCelebrating the 25th and final anniversary of the famous supercar

You can say your last goodbye to the famous and iconic American supercar, Dodge Viper, because these five examples are the last variants that will come to life. Yes, the Viper is completely dead. Ironically, the released variants are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the model, but this also marks an unsatisfying death at a young age, doesn’t it?

To sum up the life of the Viper: Dodge introduced it back in 1992, creating it with the help of the specialists at SRT. For 25 years around 30,000 units have been produced, so this might be the hint why the car has been suddenly shown the door.

Anyway, the 25th anniversary limited-edition modelsare about to commemorate the abundant production and successful life of the Viper. Ironically speaking, of course. At least, the car looks fantastic, and it sure feels exaggerating when driving. But after all, it has rather suspicious market success.

The last Vipers we are about to see are: 1:28 Edition ACR (American Club Racer), GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR, VoooDoo II Edition ACR, Snakeskin Edition GTC and the Dodge Dealer Edition. Each one of them is powered by the iconic all-aluminum 8.4-liter V-10 engine that delivers 645 horsepower (474 kW) and 813 Nm (600 lb.-ft.) of torque.

    Viper 1:28 Edition ACR

    2010 Dodge Viper ACR

This one pays tribute to the record of the current production car. It made a significant achievement of 1:28.65 with the driver Randy Pobst at historic Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, California in October.

The characteristics that make it stand out from the others are the black exterior and painted rear wing with red ACR stripes, various aero components, 1:28 Edition exterior sill decal. Inside, there is an ACR interior with red stitching as well as serialized instrument panel with 1:28 Edition badge.

This special edition will be produced in only 28 units.

    Viper GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR

    1998 Dodge Viper GTS R

The Viper GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR pays tribute to a… paint scheme. The white and blue paint scheme. It was characteristic for the 1998 Viper GTS-R GT2 Championship Edition. Other goodies featured here include an aero and carbon fiber pack and carbon brakes. Inside we find the same interior scheme, but will the addition of Header Red seat belts, serialized instrument panel and GTS-R badge.

Dodge is building 100 units from this edition.

    Viper VoooDoo II Edition ACR

    2010 Dodge Viper VoooDoo

This one is modeled after the original Viper VooDoo from 2010. It has black exterior and graphite metallic ACR driver’s stripe with red tracer outline. Some of the special features here are the VoooDoo II exterior sill decals, ACR interior with silver accent stitching and the obligatory serial number with the VoooDoo II badge.

Only 31 units will be produced for 2017.

    Viper Snakeskin Edition GTC

    2010 Dodge Viper Snakeskin

Snakeskin Edition GTC is probably my favorite. It has been inspired by the original 2010 Snakeskin ACR mode, thus including new Snakeskin Green exterior with a custom snakeskin patterned SRT stripe. Advanced aerodynamics is a must. The interior is black and it has been made unique by serialized instrument panel and Snakeskin badge. This edition is the most limited in its production.

Sadly, Dodge will make of it only 25 examples.

    Dodge Dealer Edition ACR

The Dealer Edition ACR will be available through the highest sales volume Viper dealers:  Tomball Dodge of Tomball, Texas, and Roanoke Dodge of Roanoke, Illinois. We didn’t receive any pictures of the model, but Dodge says that it has been adorned by white exterior and Competition Blue center stripe as well as Adrenaline Red driver stripe. The cabin includes contrasting red stitching and serialized instrument panel with ACR badge.

The model will have as many as 33 units in production.

If Dodge Viper is your dream car, but you still haven’t bought any, then this is your last chance to get your hands on a brand new one. Orders are going to be taken starting from June 24th.

  • The Hellcat is back with 900HP and more aggressive than ever!

Prior-Design Dodge Challenger Hellcat front and side viewPrior-Design is mostly famous for its exclusive tuning and aerodynamic kits as well as beautiful sets of wheels. We can hardly expect from these experts engine uprating or even something that can bring out more from the inherent power of car’s powerplant. However, the case with their latest project is actually the opposite and we have surprisingly found that Prior-Design can actually make things pretty cool!

The chosen car is the newest Dodge Challenger Hellcat, which impresses with its stock output numbers coming from its 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V-8 unit. Precisely, it produces a maximum output of 707 horsepower (520 kW) and 880 Nm (650 lb-ft) of torque, which is enough to enjoy hell-of-a-ride.

SEE ALSO: This Red Hot Dodge Challenger coming directly from… Hell

But… 707 hp seem not enough for many and this is why the performance of the Hellcat has been boosted up with additional 200 horsepower, making it up to over 900 hp (662 kW)! Sadly, we can’t tell how these extra horses were achieved because no official details were announced so far.

Prior-Design Dodge Challenger Hellcat side view

Besides the output uprating the car, the car received widened exterior via the addition of a PD900HC package. Thanks to it, the car achieve not only wider but more aggressive stance. Precisely, the aero kit comprises of an add-on spoiler for the front and rear, side skirts as well as trunk spoiler. The front and rear widenings have to be mentioned as well.

Contributing for the aggressive appearance are the bronze PD3Forged wheels as well. However, we do think that the chosen bronze color is rather… strange. Just for a comparison, the Canadian studio SR Auto Group has recently introduced their Hellcat based project, which we dig very, very much (click the link above for more info)! And we like the wheels, too!

  • This Red Hot Dodge Challenger coming directly from… Hell

Liberty Walk Dodge Challenger Hellcat by SR Auto front viewIf the devil had a ride it would be most definitely this Dodge Challenger Hellcat. With its Red Hot exterior paint scheme and one-off tuning pack, this is the most badass vehicle we have seen for awhile. Four different names are involved in the making, precisely Liberty Walk, KW, PUR Wheels and the Canadian tuning masters at SR Auto Group.

The tough part of the work can be attributed to the experts at the SR Auto, who have designed and put together this incredible project. As you can see nothing subtle is going on here. This Hellcat literally turns heads and breaks necks! And although we have already seen two examples of the unique Liberty Walk Challenger, this one proves to be the best out of them.

SEE ALSO: Liberty Walk and SR Auto Unite for Monstrous Dodge Challenger Hellcat

The first thing that the talented tuners have done here was to fit the Liberty Walk kit on. If you wonder what it comprises of, it is pretty simple (but very expressive): front and rear flare, and a rear spoiler.

Liberty Walk Dodge Challenger Hellcat by SR Auto wheels and Liberty Walk kit

From there they mounted a set of staggered twenty inch PUR LG06 wheels. They make the perfect harmony with the hellish exterior color of the Challenger with its matte black face and gloss DaVinci red step lip. As the experts say, “maintaining the whole red and black theme was a priority”. And it surely brings out great effect! The wheels were then shod with low-profile Michelins.

At last, but not least, the suspension which has brought the Dodge closer to the ground comprises of set of KW coilovers. Although we wanted to see a little bit engine tuning here, so that this Hellcat could perform even more devilish, the specialists have left the 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V-8 unit intact. This means that whoever is taking a ride in it will enjoy a maximum output of 707 horsepower (520 kW) and 880 Nm (650 lb.-ft.) of torque.

  • The Force Awakens: Dodge Joins the Dark Side [VIDEO]

Dodge Joins the Dark Side If Darth Vader lived in today’s world and had to choose a vehicle, I bet he’d go for a Dodge Viper ACR. And since the premiere of the latest Start Wars Series, called “The Force Awakens” is intimidatingly near, December18th, then there is nothing better to talk about the strange combination of the ‘Dark Side’ and… Dodge cars. The company has just released a cool TV ad to promote the future blockbuster.

Of course, you will hear the Imperial March, but what you will see is unexpectedly exciting. The video actually displays an army of muscle cars, compacts, crossovers and SUVs with massive doses of attitude!

Each and every one of them is built for top performance, from power off the line to handling in the corners! Just like any Stormtrooper should be powerful, technologically advanced, capable and efficient, these Dodge vehicles, the Charger, Challenger, and Durango, express the same qualities!

SEE ALSO: The Return of Dodge Viper ACR Supercar

By the way, the ad is called “The Force Gathers” and the most exciting part of it is the ‘leading role’ of the black Dodge Viper ACR. The car was released this year and has shown some impressive details, about which you can read in the link above. But some fast facts, might remind you how cool this car is and why Darth Vader has chosen it.

First, it is powerful beyond measure, because of its 8.4-liter V10 engine, which produces 645 horsepower (474 kW) and 813 Nm (600 lb-ft) of torque. It transmits all this power onto the road via the Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission.

The car also shows-off with Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, 19-inch alloys and exclusive Kumho Ecsta V720 high-performance rubbers. We don’t doubt that Vader has chosen to add the Extreme Aero package to his Viper ACR, making sure that he will have the highest aerodynamic downforce of any production car! And just in case you ask about it, well the Extreme Aero package can offer up to three times the downforce of the Viper TA or Time Attack 2.0 package.

One of the most famous and iconic old style US muscle cars that they have been lately working on is the Dodge Viper GTS R710. GeigerCars.de stepped on this basis and added some valuable changes to the appearance and the power output via a power-upgrade kit and carbon aero kit. Some extras to the suspension are also there.

    Power Increase

GeigerCars.de Dodge Viper GTS R710 Engine

Helping the engine breathe more deeply is the modified airbox and bespoke exhaust system, featuring tubular headers and sport catalysts. In addition, the ECU remap alters the fuel and ignition, thus using extra air. As a result, the engine pumps out 710 hp (522 kW) at 6,100rpm and 861 Nm (635 lb-ft) of torque at 5,500rpm.

The Viper is tied to the ground via its new KW Variant 2 coil-over suspension kit. It drops the ride height by 30 mm. In fact, the kit also features 16-step adjustable rebound control that optimizes the grip of the tires. Speaking of rubbers, the snake runs on 295/30ZR18 up front and 355/30ZR19 at the rear.

At last, the in-house made carbon-fibre aerodynamic kit comprises of components that reduce the weight of the car. It features front spoiler lip with matching rear spoiler as well as apron insert with diffuser.
