2019 Geigercars.de Dodge Hellcat Introduced back in 2014, SRT Hellcat hit the track with the massive 717hp via a 6.2-liter V8 engine. And as it seems, this approach towards the untamed power has gathered numerous supporters and exclusively a positive feedback and Dodge team decided to present a new version of the high-performance coupe.

This is a limited edition, nicknamed “Redeye” that would impress even sceptics – featuring a total of 808hp and 1,018Nm of torque via a massive 6.2-liter V8 pumping heart. However, the specialists from GeigerCars.de has decided to take a closer look and tweak the machine even more! Let’s see the results, shall we?

First of all, the engineers have added a boost pressure upgrade and a software modulation in order to boost the overall power output to the outstanding 890hp. At the same time there was also a gain in terms of torque – there are 150 more Nm for a total of 1,080Nm. Sweet!

Additional highlights are the aluminum forged rims and excusive 305/35er tires. The set is accompanied by a few other exterior goodies – GFK hood, broader air inlet and entirely new graphics and body color scheme.

In terms of interior, the entire cabin is untouched except some fancy small changes: there are new Demonic Red leather seat covers, black leather components and new Uconnect infotainment system with a large 8.4-inch screen and 18 speakers.

  • How The Dodge Challenger Flexed Its Muscles

2017 Dodge Challenger SRTI parked next to a new Dodge Challenger the other day and I got out of my car and started looking at it. What a work of art. That Challenger looked intimidating just sitting between the two whit lines in its parking space and it wasn’t even running. I could sense the potential rumble of its engine though. I didn’t want to get to close in case it woke up and started to growl. After I spent about five minutes walking around the car and then another couple of minutes standing about ten feet away from it visualizing myself in the driver’s seat, I got back in my car and drove straight to Bodwell Chrysler, Jeep Dodge and asked for a test drive in the new 2017 Dodge Challenger.

The people there were so nice and very accommodating. One of the salesman immediately retrieved the keys to a beautiful yellow Challenger with black wheels that was on the front lot. We walked over to it and once again I was in awe and for a moment I headed over to the passenger side to get in. The salesman smiled and said, “You want to drive it, right?” I told that of course, I did and but in my mind I still couldn’t believe that I was actually going to drive this legendary muscle car.

I had always been thrilled with the “idea” of muscle cars and I never really considered owning one myself. It was always good enough just to watch the cars from a distance and to know that other people were having fun driving them. I just never believed that it was possible for me to actually own one and I couldn’t imagine myself ever backing out of the garage every single day in one of the great muscle car legends.

SEE ALSO: Meet the “John Lennon Phantom V” and see why it is still famous today!

When I started up the yellow Challenger I began to see that maybe…just maybe – it was possible to own one of these great cars myself. I drove it off the lot with the salesman sitting in the passenger seat. He kept pretty quiet as he could see that I was thoroughly enjoying myself in this power machine, which, by the way, was extremely comfortable and the driver seat and steering wheel fit like a glove.

Well, I’m sure you can guess what happened when we got back to the dealership. That’s right…when you see a yellow Challenger drive by or rather fly by you, please wave and say “Hi.”

  • Durango Stays Bold While Others Shrink

2017 Dodge DurangoThe Dodge Durango seems to overshadow other SUVs and it’s not only because of its big and bold size and attitude. The Durango is one of those rare and powerful vehicles that is not afraid to stand alone away from the herd. Its good looks can only be matched by its friendly and luxurious interior that seats 7 comfortably and its power train that makes it the dominant SUVs on the planet.

The Dodge Durango that we test drove at Foss Motors had the big V8  in it, which impressed us so much we asked if we could drive around the block a couple more times. Thank goodness the Foss sales guy understood. He just smiled knowingly when we asked him, as if he gets that all the time and nodded his head. The second time around for us was unbelievable. We tried to be reserved and not be aggressive with the accelerator but, hey, what can you do when you’re in the beautiful 2017 Durango and you’re behind the wheel?

SEE ALSO: Kahn Design and the Stealthy Sexiness: It’s worth the check out!

That was a rhetorical question, so no need to answer it. What we did, however, was to really feel the SUV out and take it through what we might experience if we owned it. We got on the highway and weaved (safely) through traffic, hardly noticing the bumpy road because of the great load-leveling suspension the Durango has. The ride couldn’t have been smoother and quieter and the 18-inch wheels along with cruise control and all the other standard amenities kept us confident throughout our whole test drive. The large infotainment touchscreen was also a nice surprise as it was so user-friendly and within the driver’s reach that we almost bought the car while we were driving it.

SEE ALSO: The “Triple Seven” by Wheelsandmore hits the road. Beware!

We also loved the all-wheel drive and the gas mileage, which was 18 mpg in the city and 25 on the highway. The eight-speed automatic transmission did all the work it was designed to do and never once reminded us that it was there. The whole experience was like that – low key, yet efficient and powerful. It was a pleasure to finally get behind the wheel of this legendary SUV and actually see the world from those comfortable seats. The Dodge Durango is a rare luxury in this busy world of ours. Come see for yourself and take a test drive.

  • Dodge Challenger receives new upgrade pack. Check it out!

The New Dodge Challenger Scat Pack

If you are talking to any performance car enthusiast about muscle cars, the current Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is bound to get brought up. This modern supercar took the Mopar world by storm in 2016 with its retro-looks and incredible 707 horse supercharged V8 engine. Problem is that this new era muscle car is really expensive. With a starting price of $62,000, many Mopar enthusiasts can’t afford a new Challenger Hellcat.

Fortunately, Dodge has a close second choice available. The name will sound familiar to those who were around about 5 decades ago.  Here’s the story: from 1968 until 1972, Dodge offered the Scat Pack performance package in the Challenger and Charger R/T cars. The Scat Pack package included things like triple carburation, extra gauges, exhaust headers and bold colors. The Mopar guys at Brennan Dodge of Ruston, a local Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram dealer in Ruston, LA, tell us they were very popular models and genuine original examples are quite valuable today.

Today, we have the reincarnation of the famous Dodge Challenger Scat Pack. While it lacks the Hellcat SRT engine, it offers a not-too-shabby naturally-aspirated 6.4-liter Hemi offering a healthy 485 horsepower. The best part is that at a starting price of $37,995, it is almost half the price of the Hellcat. Through in another $4,800 and you can get the outstanding Shaker Package added.  For 2017, the shaker package intake hood protrusion, special graphics and lots of interior upgrades.  Let’s take a closer look at the Dodge Challenger Scat Pack.

    2016 Scat Pack Powertrain

As we mentioned, the Scat Pack offers a 392 cube V8 Hemi with 485 ponies and 475 foot-pounds of torque. For real performance enthusiasts a beefy six-speed manual gearbox and positraction differential are available.  Fuel efficiency isn’t too bad either at 14/23 MPG. The Challenger Scat Pack comes standard with Brembo brakes and Bilstein sport suspension.

    2016 Scat Pack Exterior

SEE ALSO: The Hellcat is back with 900HP and more aggressive than ever!

The styling of the Challenger Scat Pack is retro but tasteful. Like the originals, the 2016 is available in a variety of bold colors. For lighting, the front running lights and taillights are ultra-bright LEDs. The vehicle comes stock with bold 20-inch rims covered by Goodyear rubber.

    2016 Scat Pack Interior

The dash offers plenty of vintage styling with a retro-looking gauge cluster and 8.4-inch infotainment display. With the Shaker upgrade, you get heated and ventilated leather seats, a power telescoping steering column and snazzy sport pedals.

    2016 Scat Pack Tech

The control center of the Scat Pack package is the UConnect touchscreen infotainment system with full systems display and connectivity to multiple digital devices . To this one can add a $845 audio upgrade package with a 506 watt receiver, 9 alpine speakers and a powerful sub-woofer. Smart safety tech touches like Dodge’s ParkSense rearview camera, hill start assist, rain brake support, forward braking alerts, and all speed traction control are all standard.

The Shaker-equipped Scat Pack makes for a very tempting Hellcat alternative. It may not have the nameplate or the insane power, but is much less expensive and it’s a fine muscle car. We expect sales for 2016 model will be very strong.

  • Is there anything else we can expect from the Durango lineup?

2016 Dodge Durango ConceptHemi Durango in The Works?

FCA went into SEMA show in Las Vegas this past year hoping to show off some of their new concepts, designs, and had hoped that something might stick. Well one concept truly did stick with the audience and the internet when it was shown off, and that was the bright blue Durango concept, which they called the “Durango Shaker”.

Shortly after the revealing it was reported by major news outlets that the extremely positive reaction to the Shaker concept had stirred the parent company of Dodge, FCA to put major consideration into the development of this concept Durango.

While most other automakers are looking to go away from power, and more towards efficiency, Dodge has remained set on providing car buyers the power they feel they crave. We have seen this with the Viper models, the SRT models, as well as the remake of the Charger & Challenger vehicles. Aggressive styling, and pure power.

SEE ALSO: Dodge Releases Two Appearance Packages for 2016 Durango Model

There have been rumors stirring about for quite some time that they would introduce a SRT version of the Durango, mostly because of how underperforming the Durango had done in recent years, when compared to the king of SUVs their sibling under the FCA umbrella, Jeep. So why not add something unique to it, give it something that is hard to resist.

We took the time to look at the inventory of Dodge Durango from a local Oklahoma dealer, Ada Dodge. What we saw wasn’t a SUV that was lacking power or design, it just needed a step up from itself. Something that made the Durango name live on, and that will surely be the Shaker concept.

  • Mighty and passionate, Dodge Hellcat by GeigerCars is ready for some road challenges!

Definitely one of brand’s best flagship models, Dodge’s SRT Hellcat is one of our favorite vehicles. And it seems as it has also caught the eye of the magicians at GeigerCars! They took a closer look and have made a tweak here and there in order to deliver us one mighty and simply stunning machine!

The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is especially created for those who seek even more and are ready to go further to find it. Coming with stunning visuals and massive power, the vehicle is definitely worth the checkout!

The upgrades feature a massive power output upgrade that goes from the stock 707hp via a supercharged V8 unit to the incredible 782hp (583kW). The drivetrain improvements also include stainless steel sports exhaust with valve control, free-flow air cleaner and ECU software remap. Along with the horsepower, the engineering team enhanced and the torque, which already produces 923Nm. Massive, right?

SEE ALSO: Daring GeigerCars.de project shows us the dark side of Cadillac ATS-V Coupe

All these improvements result on one specific stat: speed. The car is capable of going from 0 to 100km/h in mere 3.6 seconds and chases a top speed of 330km/h (183mph).

In terms of styling and appearance, the exclusive Hellcat receives more aggressive and aerodynamic front-end styling, new C-shaped LED daytimes running lights and this GeigerCars distinctive character. We like it. Furthermore, there are glossy black Geiger 22-inch alloys and 265/30ZR22 and 295/25ZR22 tires. All this is softened by an exclusive suspension system that comes with special damping adjustment: the dampers react separately for rebound and compression in low-speed range and high-speed range, which results in more steady, yet agile ride.

And let’s not forget the exclusive Special HellCat Green paintwork that contributes to the aggressive and sporty character of the whole appearance.

  • Astonishing custom-made Dodge Viper ACR reaches 765HP

GeigerCars.de Dodge Viper ACR side view

GeigerCars.de take full responsibility for this conversion

This Dodge Viper ACR is nothing ordinary. It features a special tuning by the experts at GeigerCars.de, which enhances its looks and power capability. Already in extinction, the named-after-the-poisonous-snake muscle car, stands out immediately with its 8.4 litre V10 engine with its innate 645 hp.

But the unit has more potential than that. Why do we think so? Because Karl Geiger and his team, extracted the extra 111 hp from this giant powerplant. And this happened via a classic naturally aspirated tuning; meaning exactly ported and polished cylinder heads, larger 2.215-inch diameter intake valves, high-lift camshaft, uprated hydraulic lifters, pushrods, and double valve springs.

SEE ALSO: Meet Ford Mustang Geiger GT 820 with Almost Doubled Horsepower

The Viper tuning program does not end here. It also comprises of exhaust headers, 200-cell Sports catalytic converters and a stainless steel sports exhaust system. The latter reduces backpressure and brings about amazing racing soundtrack. The last thing done that boosts the horses is the ECU-remapping, which also makes full use of the new hardware.

GeigerCars.de Dodge Viper ACR rear view

Furthermore, GeigerCars installed more efficient engine oil cooler, which enhances the reliability and longevity of the engine in hard track use. In addition, the rear axle has also received an oil cooler system with an electric pump.

To improve the downforce, the specialists added an ‘Extreme Aero Package’ that consists of huge front air splitter, twin dive flaps for the front apron and a rear diffuser. The weight is somewhat reduced with the new 19-inch forged alloys that has been given to the Viper.

If this simple conversion has grabbed your attention just for a bit, then the good news is that it costs 40,775 euro. By the way, the GeigerCars Viper ACR with the “Extreme Aero Package” is also available for 219,000 euro.

  • Street Fight Mode: 707 HP Hellcat versus 850 HP Hennessey Hellcat [w/videos]

707 HP Hellcat vs 850 HP Hennessey Hellcat Street Fight YouTube Image

Hennessey shows the potential of its HPE850 Hellcat

It is clear that the stock Hellcat is a very cool muscle car. But it is also as plainly as anything that the modified Hennessey HPE850 Hellcat is better than any production version. But have you ever asked yourself, what exactly would happen between those two in a Street Fight. You don’t have to wonder anymore, because Hennessey Performance ha shot this amazing “Street Fight video”.

The Hellcat is probably one of the Seven Wonders in the automotive world. It looks great, has that muscle car stance and performance and it features attitude. Maybe, it is not everybody’s cup of tea, but hey, we live in a free world. And it is exactly what I like.

SEE ALSO: Hennessey Venom 800 Supercharged under dyno testing [w/video]

For those wanting more from their muscle car cat-beast, Hennessey Performance has produced the so called HPE850 Upgrade. As the name shows, it boosts the power of the 707hp Challenger to the potent 850 hp and this happens at 6,200 rpm.

    httpv://youtu.be/Z9BlC6l4S0Q

Here’s the boring information: the upgrade comprises of new ECU and upgraded tuning software. By the way, you can see the chassis dyno testing in the second video featured in this post. Going back to the point, the HPE850 also adds high flow air filter element, lower pulley upgrade that increases boost by 1-2 psi, port matched throttle body, Hennessey embroidered head rests for the interior as well as Hennessey and HPE850 exterior emblems. As usual, the performance company has featured serial numbers on the dash plaque and plaque in the engine compartment.

At last, we all know that the Hennessey Hellcat HPE850 was going to win. Maybe the point in this video was to show how much faster Hennessey’s variant is.

The latest video we have received from Hennessey Performance is showing how the specialists perform a chassis dyno testing on their latest variant of the 2016 Dodge Viper equipped with the Hennessey Venom 800 Supercharged upgrade. The video is featured below so that you can enjoy that sweet growling sound of the updated powertrain.

By the way, Hennessey Performance’s Venom GT Spyder has been officially certified by Racelogic as world’s fastest convertible. Back in April it achieved a top speed of 265.6 mph (427.4 km/h). Thanks to this, Hennessey added another milestone to its list of awards. Back in 2014, the company has made a spectacular record-breaking speed of the hardtop Hennessey Venom GT, during which it reached a top speed of 270.4 mph (435.3 km/h).

The here presented Viper features company’s so called Venom 800 Supercharger, which helps the engine achieve equally spectacular results. First, the power has jumped to 808 hp (594 kW) at 6,200 rpm, while the torque to 1070 Nm (790 lb-ft) at 4,200 rpm. In terms of performance, the 0-60 mph acceleration sprint is covered in 2.9 seconds, while the ¼ mile is reached in 10.5 seconds at 143 mph.

These fantastic results are due to the addition of a high-flow supercharger system with 5 psi boost pressure, additional air to the air intercooler system, extra high flow fuel injectors and brand new stainless steel 3 inch exhaust system.

Besides the cool engine upgrades, Hennessey is also offering some design tweaks for the Viper, which show its significance and custom individuality. We are speaking of the Hennessey and Venom® 800 & Supercharged emblems for the exterior, the serial numbered dash & engine plaques as well as the premium floor mats.

Enough talk! Are you ready to hear some noise?
