Ram 1500 Rebel Fitted with Toyo Open Country Pack

Dodge Ram 1500 Rebel from the 2015 model year now features new outfit thanks to the additions added by the fellows at Toyo Tire. The Ram Rebel pickup will be exclusively fitted with the brand’s best-selling product – the Toyo Open Country Pack A/T II package. The good news here is that the pack does not include new rubbers only, but it also features some cool tweaks for the interior.

As a basis the company has used the Ram 1500 Rebel, which can be driven by the either the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine, or the legendary 395 horsepower 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8. It is packed with abundant amount of features and its powertrain is fitted with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Other great elements here are the specially valved Bilstein shocks, a 1.0-inch taller ride height, and more.

Speaking of the interior, the cabin of the Ram 1500 Rebel now includes unique design, inspired by the tread forms of the rubbers. Their design has been embossed on both the front and rear passenger seats. This makes the interior look even more fantastic and undoubtedly adds to the powerful looks of the truck.

Dodge Charger R/T Receives Mopar Performance Kit

2015 Dodge Charger R/T can now be equipped with Mopar’s special Performance Kit, which will be produced in a limited run of 50 units only. Each of the kits will include special equipment that will help Dodge’s enthusiasts to make their Charger R/T more individual.

Mopar has usually delivered performance and customization packages that hadn’t that limited distribution. Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO, said that the company is now shifting into another gear and offering a limited-edition. The purpose for this step is to allow customers to enhance the performance and look of their Dodge Charger R/T in an extremely unique way.

To go into details, the Mopar ’15 kit is a street-legal performance package that features the Scat Pack Performance Stage Kit 1, front strut tower brace with caps and bright pedal kit. The Scat Pack 1 actually adds 18 horsepower and 18 lb.-ft. of torque.

Also contributing for the increase in power is the Mopar Performance cat-back exhaust, cold-air intake, Stage 1 premium fuel powertrain control module, and high-flow oil filter. Of course, there are Scat Pack 1 badges that emphasize the one-off nature of the car.

The exterior and interior of the Charger are additionally enhance via door sill entry guards carrying the Mopar logo, matte black body-side graphics, and a serialized badge for the dash.

Mopar will also give the owner certificate of authenticity so that he or she can prove how unique is their car. Left unmentioned in the pack is the Performance Package brochure, vintage replica Scat Pack poster, Mopar Performance fender badge, and magnetic mechanic’s tray.

As a matter of fact, this is the most limited-edition package ever offered by FCA. It will be distributed to North American customers only with just 50 units available. Authorized dealerships are currently accepting orders for this exclusive limited-edition Mopar ’15 performance kit. If you wonder about the pricing – it will cost you $3,550 USD. First deliveries are expected to begin in early June.

SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo Revealed! Accessible for PS3 this Summer [VIDEO]

2015 SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo has been revealed and this makes me very happy because FCA has done this via many pictures and detailed information. These images can be viewed in the gallery below. There is also an official video that shows the mightiness of this car. As a matter of fact, after seeing it I regret that it will stay in the virtual world only. Here is why.

The single-seat will hit the virtual track of the Gran Turismo 6 PlayStation3 game this summer. It will be powered by a futuristic hybrid V-10, pumping out 2,590 combined horsepower! Can you believe that? But everything is possible in the virtual world, isn’t it?

Players can access three powerful versions of the car only after successfully completing challenges. At first, they will find the entry level SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo S, then the racing version GTS-R and eventually they can drive the experimental technology ultimate version X concept.

Design

The design of the car is extreme and no one can argue on that. Aggressive, powerful and aerodynamically optimized in every way, it only makes us wish that it isn’t a vehicle from the real world. An interesting fact is that the SRT Tomahawk was actually born from an internal design competition for a futuristic interpretation of a 2035 Dodge.

The winning design was a creation of Paul Hoste, who’s young enough and new to FCA, and also grew up playing Gran Turismo.

The shape of the car is an expression of movement and flow. At the front we have aggressive forms, while the rear seems to be a little bit angular, with asymmetric fenders and a powerful exhaust with five large ports were integrated in the rear diffuser.

The cockpit and engine cover are made from graphene, which is lighter than the carbon and contribute to the transparency. Large air intake for engine cooling, active panels above the front and rear fenders characterize the design. At last, we can’t skip the thin LED lights that contribute for the futuristic look of this virtual car.

Performance Levels

As mentioned, the SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo will be available in three variations. The entry level carries the “S” designation and it is powered by 7.0-liter wide-angle V-10 unit, which is tuned to produce 792 hp (582 kW). At the front, the car adds pneumatically driven wheels that contribute for additional 215 hp (158 kW), thus making a total system output of 1,007 hp (740 kW). The top speed is 250 mph.

The racing version of the virtual car is called GTS-R. The V-10 under its hood pushes up to 1,137 hp (836 kW), while the air-driven front wheels add 313 hp (230 kW) contributing for a total system output of 1,450 hp (1066 kW). The top speed is in excess of 300 mph.

At last, the ultimate version “X” can set redline at 14,500 rpm, thanks to its innovative V-10 engine which pumps out 2,168 hp (1594 kW). Here, the front wheel drivetrain contributes an additional 422 hp (310 kW) at peak, for total output of 2,590 hp (1911 kW). The Vmax here is stunning: 404 mph. The extreme performance of this version requires a G-suit for the driver for maximum protection.

What is really sad here is that we have to wait a little bit longer to have access to these beautiful cars. Until then we can wipe our tears and take a dreamy look at the video and pictures below.

Today, on June 2, Ram vehicle owners will offer their help for the storm-damaged areas in Wimberley and San Marcos, Texas. They will deliver supplies and will help with the recovery from the destructive flood.

Tad Agoglia, the founder of so-called First Response Team of America will lead the Ram crew and will offer help and supplies for all, who need it. In fact, the First Response Team will also create a community web, so they can connect with people, who need help easily.

The noble campaign starts at San Marcos Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, where the Ram owners will get all the supplies they need and will proceed to the flooded areas. Something more. Last week, Ram Truck and FCA Foundation announced, that they are donating $ 100,000 to the First Responsive Team.

In fact, Ram brand is partner with the First Response Team of America since 2012. And for a period of three years Ram has helped numerous people in occasions of natural disasters and with the help of FCA has donated more than $300, 000.

Ram Nation is a organization of people, willing to help those in need. People at Ram Nation volunteer in numerous different actions like delivering supplies, equipment, clear debits, distribute food and fresh water and of course make donations.

Why this Dodge Viper ACR is Better than Any Other

We know that the Viper ACR is already here, right? Well, if you missed the news, then I should remind you that the car was revealed in ten days ago and a few days after that Dodge announced that it is going in production. This is not only the fastest but probably the best version of the Viper ACR up to date and it will be available in the US dealerships in September this year.

To create the ultimate sports car, Dodge decided to update significantly the ACR. As a result the model now features aerodynamic and suspension upgrades, new carbon ceramic brakes with six-pot calipers and the special Kumho tires.

Speaking of which, these ECSTA V720 ultra-high-performance tires have been completed with the ACR logo that has been embossed on the sidewall. They have been specifically developed for this car and as a matter of fact Dodge claims that they provide the largest combined contact patch of any production car.

At the front, the ECSTA V720 measure 295/25ZR19, while at the rear – 355/30ZR19. Unique about them is that they feature one-off tread patterns and front and rear compounds. This helps the tires make the Viper achieve lap times up to 1.5 seconds faster than those of race tires. In addition, they also sustain cornering loads of up to 1.5g.

This basically means that these rubbers help the hand-built powertrain, the 8.4-litre V10 engine, achieve its ultimate performance of 645 hp (474 kW) and 813 Nm (600 lb-ft) of torque. One thing’s for sure here: this American Club Racer (ACR) has much to live up to. Back in the days its predecessors achieved production car lap record around the Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit with a time of 7 minutes 12.13 seconds.

The recently announced Viper American Club Racer (ACR) is obviously ready to go on sale, since Dodge is currently taking orders. The pricing has been also announced and although it comprises of six numbers, it is worth it because this is the fastest Viper ever. It is also street-legal and entirely hand built. In other words, this is the best Viper ever created!

The supercar was introduced for the first time in 1999 and its production continued until 2010. Yes, the ACR can show-off with long-standing legacy as the ultimate street-legal track car built for club racing. This means that the 2016 model year car pays tribute to the performance legacy with its great aerodynamic and suspension upgrades.

Just to remind you, the ACR is equipped with Carbon Ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers and high-performance tires, which were specifically created for the ACR. They are called Kumho Ecsta V720 and come in the size of 295/25/19 up front and 355/30/19 at the back. They are so good that make the car achieve 1.5 seconds faster lap times than off-road only race tires

The Return of Dodge Viper ACR Supercar

Have you heard about the Viper ACR? It is reborn and writing the new history of the street-legal, and track-focused supercars. Hand-built and all-American this car has been engineered to combine the best aerodynamic, braking and tire technology. Behind the development of the iconic car are the engineers at SRT, and this only links towards extreme speed and great performance as well as exclusive looks.

Aero Package

The ultimate aerodynamic performance is ensured via the addition of the optional Extreme Aero package. It helps the car produce the highest aerodynamic downforce of any production car. To be more precise, the pack adds adjustable dual-element rear wing that is 1,876-mm wide, rear diffuser made of carbon fiber, SRT hood with removable louvers, detachable extension for the front splitter and four dive planes.

And if you ask about the downforce, well the Extreme Aero package can offer up to three times the downforce of the Viper TA or Time Attack 2.0 package.

Brake performance

Brembo brakes are obligatory here. They are from the Carbon Ceramic Matrix variety and deliver maximum braking performance. At the front the Viper gets 390-millimeter (15.4-inch) two-piece rotors, while at the back they measure 360-millimeter (14.2-inch) and are again two-piece. In addition, the front brakes are complemented by six-piston calipers while the rear brakes – by four-piston calipers.

Tires

If you expect something ordinary here, you will be disappointed. The Viper ACR runs on Kumho Ecsta V720 high-performance tires, which were specifically designed for it. They actually contribute for 1.5 seconds faster lap times. At the front, the rubbers measure 295/25/19 and are mounted on 11-inch wide wheels, while at the back they are of size 355/30/19.

ABS, ESC & Suspension

This Dodge’s ABS and ESC are specifically tuned for the car. The Electronic Stability Control for instance has five modes: Full-on, Sport, Track, Rain, Full-off, which take into account the extra grip offered by the extreme aerodynamic and tire package. Furthermore, the Viper ACR can also show-off with aluminum bodied, double-adjustable coil-over Bilstein race shocks that provides more than 3 inches adjustment for the ride height.

Drivetrain

The most important feature of this car is its heart, a.k.a. the V10 engine. The all-aluminum 8.4-liter overhead-valve powerplant can produce 645 horsepower (474 kW) and 813 Nm (600 lb.-ft.) of torque. It transmits all this power onto the road via the Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission. In addition, new exhaust tips have been added to the side-mounted exhaust pipes. This serves in order to reduce exhaust pressure.

Interior

Special performance must be also present inside of the car. This of course means great interior, which the ACR Viper has. What’s special? The interior is racing-inspired, and this is visible through the instrument panel cluster hood, lower instrument panel and door armrest panels that are wrapped in unique Alcantara suede.

The steering wheel has also received special Alcantara upholstery, which is contrasted with color racing stripe and unique badging. The seats also carry the Alcantara inserts, while the unique dash plaque is finished in carbon fiber. The stitching is optional and customers can choose between silver or Header Red one.

At last, we must highlight that the 2016 Dodge Viper ACR is entirely hand-built. It will go on same later this year.

Forza Horizon 2 now with Furious 7 Car Pack [VIDEO]

Forza Horizon 2: Furious 7 Car Pack Remember when we told you the story behind the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T from Furious 7? Well, the great news for today is that you are actually given the chance to drive it. At least virtually, since the car has made its debut in Forza Horizon 2, the strenuous Xbox One game. The other good news is that it is actually part of Furious 7 Car Pack, which features lineup of eight fantastic vehicles, appearing in the latest series.

All of the cars have been authentically recreated, and in fact they also include details never seen before in a Forza game. Take for instance the awesome functioning blower in the Charger R/T. There is also a month’s free car, which in this case is the 1998 Toyota Supra.

So, let’s start with the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Fast & Furious Edition. It is said that this car offers the best way to live your life a quarter-mile at a time. It is driven by a 426 Hemi engine, pumping out 425 horses (313 kW). It also comes equipped with coil-over race suspension, 18-inch wheels coupled with wide tires and huge disc brakes. There is also a fully functioning supercharger and street blower scoop making a hole in the hood. The result is more than impressive and it is 900 hp (662 kW).

Next is the 1970 Plymouth Cuda with 600 horsepower, coming from the same as Charger’s engine. It is characterized by bold colors, muscular fenders and a lot of Mopar features.

2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is also featured in the car pack. The very cool thing about it is that it is bulletproof and extremely modified throughout. Surprisingly, its power comes from a turbo-diesel motor.

If you want to see something more luxurious in the pack, you have it! Greet the 2014 Maserati Ghibli S Fast & Furious Edition, which in the movie is driven by the Jason Statham’s character. Under its hood, one finds the twin-turbo V6 pumping out more than 400 horsepower (294 kW).

Number five is a position reserved for the 1970 Plymouth Road Runner. Interesting fact about this car is that it was the choice of bootleggers and street racers back in the 70s, because it was faster than most police cars. Perfect ride, isn’t it?

We can’t skip the latest 2015 Dodge Charger R/T, which is also featured in both the movie and the game. This American muscle car was driven by Dom, features Mopar tweaks and packs 370 horses (272 kW).

Another Dodge, this time the Challenger, will also help you battle your competitors in the game. Its bulging fenders, long hood, and short deck are something that stays lasting in our mind. We also saw a captivating ad campaign, featuring this model.

At last, the month’s free car is 1998 Toyota Supra, which back in the days was the king of Japanese sports cars. This particular model is powered by the famous 2JZ engine. The unit is highly tunable and is preferred among tuning enthusiasts.

Here is the story behind 1970 Dodge Charger R/T from Furious 7 [VIDEO]

1970 Dodge Charger T/T from Fast and Furious 7 Movie Everyone is talking about “Furious 7” since its official premiere happened this Friday. If you are among the lucky ones who get to make a reservation for a ticket to the outrageous premiere, then you have already enjoyed all those action scenes, beautiful muscle cars and tension involved. Not to mention that this film is actually the last one of the legendary Paul Walker … and this makes everything even more emotional.

Especially for those who have seen the film, and even for those who haven’t or are on the ticket queue, we’ve found this video on YouTube that gives us more hints on not one but two of the cars from the Furious 7. Don’t worry, no spoilers are included.

The short film below invites us into Dennis McCarthy’s shop in southern California. This is where we have the opportunity to check out those two special cars. As interesting as it actually is, Dennis has a dream job. He has been created and coordinating the vehicles for the Fast and Furious series since Tokyo Drift, which he admits was the biggest step in his career.

What you are going to see below is the custom Charger driven by Dom, Vin Diesel’s personage. And it seems that this is not only our personal most favorite car I the film, but also McCarthy’s. The other car we will keep in secret in order to keep the surprise intact. Check it out:

Dodge Equips Durango R/T with more Nappa

Dodge Durango R/T just looks great. The seven-seater can now show-off with many new equipment features and specifically with those one can find in the interior. Its imposing stance is additionally strengthened by the standard for the 2015 model year 20-inch alloys in high-gloss Granite Crystalfinish. On the road the car will produce no less than 360 horsepower (265 kW), coming from the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine and the standard eight-speed automatic transmission. The torque is rated at 528 Nm (390 lb.-ft.), giving the opportunity of great tow rating measured at 7,400 pounds.

The new Durango R/T is also equipped with sport-tuned suspension and huge performance tires measuring 20-inch. The great exterior looks are due to the monochromatic appearance backed-up by the black headlamp bezels and LED daytime running lamps. In addition, the height of the car has been lowered by 20 mm.

However, the accent of this car is to be found inside. With the opening of the door we see abundance of Nappa Leather in Radar Red. Precisely, it is the seats that were wrapped in it. Of course, the red/black contrast stitching is a must. As a matter of fact, we have seen these seats in the Charger and Challenger, but it is very pleasant to the eyes when one can find them in other cars in Dodge’s range, too.

Other accents throughout the interior that should be mentioned are the Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen and the new audio releasing its sound via the nine speakers and subwoofer. Form the outside, one can also like the power liftgate function and the HID low-beam headlamps.

Special Ram 1500 Edition Celebrates the Rangers [VIDEO]

Dodge is one of the most popular American brands that has produced the famous 707HP Hellcat. It is also the main manufacturer of all Ram vehicles. The range of the latter has been expanded by the addition of the Ram 1500 Texas Ranger Concept. The truck is a creative result of company’s collaboration with the law-enforcement agency and the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum. It aims to bring the iconic Rangers’ spirit onto the road.

The vehicle was introduced at the 2015 Dallas Auto Show, and this is where it wowed the public with its exterior and interior characteristics. The celebration of the Rangers can be seen via the emblematic silver Lone Star Ranger badge and it can be found both inside and out.

The exterior of this Texas Ranger concept has everything typical for the brand. However, there are some accents like the badging (different from the one mentioned above). It was designed to be an example of the Mexican five-peso coins from which Ranger badges are made.

The next big thing (literally) about this concept vehicle is its wheels. They come in the size of 20 inches and are made of polished-aluminum. Milled-aluminum Texas Ranger center cap is making a strong accent on them. At last, the truck comes in a two-tone exterior paint scheme: Bright White and Bright Silver Metallic.

Stepping inside, one sees the same Ranger design cues everywhere. First, there is this Canyon Brown and Tan leather. It is highlighted by tooled-metal details and one-off Texas Ranger edition accents. To name some, Mexican five-peso silver coins are inlaid within the door bolsters, while the steering wheel is accentuated by milled-aluminum, features distressed-finish Ram badge and tan accent “X” stitching.

Ram Texas Ranger edition will travel around Texas with the purpose to expand the awareness for the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame and Museum. This means that Dodge has no future plans of making this truck a production version. So sad, isn’t it?
