  • 2006 Lamborghini Concept S is Going for an Auction

2006 Lamborghini Concept S 2006 Lamborghini Concept S, chassis 001 goes on sale! I am sure, that there isn’t a Lambo fan, that doesn’t know about this vehicle, but still let’s remind you, that this is a really special model, first introduced at Geneva back in 2005. The Concept includes some interesting lines and features, but the main thing is that it is a sort of extreme interpretation of an open-top Lamborghini Gallardo. Furthermore, the audience at the show was so interested in the vehicle, that it demanded for a functional version. That’s what I call game-changer.

Vox populi vox Dei (the voice of the people is the voice of God). The fully operable version was unveiled at the Concorso Italiano the next year and remained true to the concept. Except it was even more powerful. It also includes some slight differences in the design, compared to the original: “saute-vent” windscreens, redesigned homologation and sort of “spine”, that runs throughout all the length of the Lamborghini.

    2006 Lamborghini Concept S

Originally the Concept S was planned for a limited run, but soon the manufacturer changed its mind due logical reasons: the crafting process of the Lamborghini model was time-consuming and at high cost. So, the vehicle brand ended up with only chassis 001. It became so popular, that it was shown all around the world, including twice at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Now the vehicle is fully operating and street legal and comes to the sale with only 180 km (111.8 miles) driven.

The Lamborghini Concept S will be sold by RM Sotheby’s, the world’s largest collector car auction house. Something more. The well-known auction house will participate for the second iteration of the Art Automobiles sale event. And as any other, the show will include finest selection of vehicles, especially chosen for their rarity, significance, engineering and of course overall performance. And as you might have already guessed it, the Lamborghini Concept S will also be among the special vehicles.

The engineering team decided to focus on the widened with 40 centimeters chassis, the rear wing and the overall aerodynamic body. The inside also follows this particular sporty affair with its enforced cabin, head protector and safety tank. Sport, sport, sport. And again sport.

  • Lexus Unveils Another Sporty Concept Vehicle

conceptLexus prepares for the Time Attack competition at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. Something more, the luxurious brand will demonstrate the special and unique RC F GT Concept. The vehicle is especially designed and based on the IS F CCS-R model, that competed at Pikes Peak back in 2013. The event itself is really popular and in its core is a race battle with the clock. But along with the best times, the judges will also choose the winner and for his abilities. Reaction, confidence and smooth ride are also part of the competition.

But the RC F GT Concept is not only a competition vehicle. It also represents a pivotal piece of the Lexus F, along with the upcoming GT3 program. Pretty similar to the IS F CCS-R units, whose role in motorsport helped the development of key components, the GT Concept program will continue to improve the F brand’s mission. This will also allow Lexus engineers to try out some interesting ideas, that might happen to be the right ones.

    The concept itself

With a focused race attitude, the RCF GT comes with numerous changes, compared to the street model. The Concept weights about 800 lbs. But it also retains the same engine and transmission. And with the concept vehicle, engineers can test the engine, transmission and chassis and can think of some changes and tuning ideas, that can make the car even better. • Lada Has in Mind a Supercar Concept? [VIDEO]

Have you heard about the Lada brand? If you have, then you are probably coming from Russia or Eastern-Europe. The cars of this brand were famous (and still are) for their durability, rigidness, tough handling and dynamics. We won’t discuss the looks of the cars, just google them and make your own judgment. In 2012 we have seen that the company was revived and is now proudly part of Renault-Nissan alliance which is world’s fourth-largest automobile manufacturer.

What we were longing to see was a special Lada concept and we are not talking about the X-Ray, but something taken to the extremes. Our wish was granted, since we have stumbled upon a very interesting project made by the designer Dmitry Lazarev.

We present you the Lada Raven supercar concept that has literally outlandish visuals! Just take a look at the huge “gaping” grilles at the front complemented by massive vents out the tail. You surely have noticed the enormous wheel arches and the incredibly aerodynamic design.

It definitely does not have in common anything with the previous models, except for the badge that signifies that this car is a Lada. And this is what we really like about it. Although there aren’t any engineering data included, it seems that the design is more likely to be connected with a mid-engine.

What we hope is to see something more powerful than the engines included in the current Lada range. It is still under question whether this car will be actually built or will stay in a render form only. The rumors however hint to a positive outcome.

The engine is a 1.6 liter THP turbocharged petrol with 270HP (198 kW) and 330Nm (243 lb-ft) powering the rear wheels, while the front are powered by an electric motor – 115HP (85 kW) charged by a battery pack positioned into the floor of the vehicle. • Renault Alpine A110-50 Concept

Renault has teamed up with Caterham to work on a production model of Alpine A110-50 Concept. The idea for the supercar was presented in May 2012 and the model will actually go in production in 2015 and first deliveries will commence in 2016.

The chief design of Renault – Laurens van den Acker commented that the vehicle’s styling has been completed and there is a hope for a sub-brand of Alpine models to come out in the next year. No further details are announced for the model, but Renaultsport’s chief – Patrice Ratti said that the Alpine supercar will be “more about driving pleasure than pure power”.

It is also known that the car’s official design will not have anything in common with the A110-50 concept. Still, new engineering mules are expected to start tests in a short period of time and we can get slight idea of how the car is going to look like.

The engine can be taken from Renault Megane RS – a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 275HP (202 kW) at 5,500RPM and 360Nm (265 lb-ft) of torque at 3,000RPM. It probably will be tuned to around 300HP and 400Nm, which combined with ultra-low weight and rear wheel drive will satisfy the demands of petrol heads.

  • Skoda CitiJet Concept at Goodwood

Skoda is going to present the CitiJet Concept at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed (starting today). The small open-top car is designed and built by 16 apprentices under the guidance of Jozef Kaban, Head of Skoda Design, who challenged the team to build their dream car. Obviously, the dreams of the apprentices don’t include a powerful engine and epic sound from the exhaust system.

Skoda CitiJet is a striking cabriolet that combines a host of innovations and unique design features.

The exterior features distinctive two-tone metallic paintwork, 16” wheels and a hand-crafted rear spoiler. The interior boasts a red-stitched, leather-trimmed steering wheel, bespoke seat trim and a dashboard panel finished in white and red. Completing the interior package is a 300 watt sound system and music-reactive LED lighting.

No words about engine, but since the CitiJet is in the same segment as the Citigo, it will obviously get a 1.0 liter MPI petrol with either 60HP (44 kW) or 75HP (55 kW). The engine is available with either 5-speed manual or an automated-shift gearbox (ASG). The fuel consumption will be around 4.1 liters / 100 km with CO2 emissions of below 100 g/km.

As in previous years, Skoda will be the main attraction at the Forest Rally Stage. The brand’s legendary Fabia S2000 – the most successful rally car of the Super 2000 era – will be demonstrating its remarkable talents on the Skoda-supported 1.7-mile Forest Rally Stage.

This 1420 kilos of car runs from zero to a hundred km/h for just 3.6 seconds and on full throttle it can do more than 300 km/h.

For a better handling, more stability and good vision it has 20×8,5j wheels with 235/34 tyres at the front and 20×9,5J with 275/30 at the back. Behind these rims are hidden ceramic brakes for proper decelerating force.

For all the Gran Tourismo fans the concept is colored in Gran Tourismo Red. The interior includes black and anthracite sections with the contrasted GTI red stitching.
