There are no Limits for Acura Team

2016 Acura RDX One more time Acura shows not only dedication to creating luxurious rides, but also that limits exist only in our heads. The 2016 RDX SUV comes with more power, better fuel efficiency and overall luxurious feel. You may be still astonished by the supreme 2015 model, but yes, the heir is better in every aspect. And one of the best news is that the starting price of the 2016 model is almost the same as the 2015 model.

The 2016 5-seater SUV machine brings even more power and higher-rate performance. RDX is geared with a 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6 engine and it is refreshed with some weight and handling tweaks and, as expected, the list with technology units is expanded.

The standard package includes the lovely AcuraWatch safety and drive systems, redesigned interior, some high-tech jewels like the LED headlamps, LED taillights and inside monitors. And of course there are some additional features and tweaks, that can be installed with optional packages.

The engine itself is further upgraded with the Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) system and brings 279 hp (205 kW). and 252 lb.-ft. The overall design of the powerplant is especially created to bring faster and more precise respond in addition to the improved fuel efficiency.

The inside of the RDX is restyled and brings lots of well-known features and additional technology, that together make the cabin a really comfortable and lovely place. Some of the goodies are the 8-way adjustable seats, the special dual-screen On-Demand Multi-Informational Display (ODMD), HD radio, outdoor cameras and a blind spot information system.

The Advance Package comes with 18″ alloy wheels, fog lights, parking sensors nad additional display monitors. General Motors Auctions First 2016 Cadillac CT6

2016 Cadillac CT6 Side View The first 2016 Cadillac CT6 Sedan will be auctioned for charity along with five other vehicles. The proceeds will go to the Karmanos Cancer Institute. At the Barrett-Jackson event will happen at the Annual Palm Beach auction in Palm Beach, Florida, this weekend.

General Motors has donated the #3001 CT6 Sedan to the Karmanos center of research, patient care and education. The institute focuses on early detection and prevention, treatment and eradication of cancer. The person buying this Cadillac will not only make a good deed, but also get unique car.

The first production CT6 is luxurious inside and out and features new front fascia with modified grille and added LEDs, and is powered by a range of different engines. The newest among them is the 3.0L Twin Turbo, which generates 400 horsepower (298 kW) and 400 lb-ft of torque (543 Nm). This unit actually shows great efficiency due to the eight-speed automatic transmission.

The second car in Barrett-Jackson’s list is the one-off Tony Stewart “Smoke” Edition 396 Chevelle with lot number #3000. It is driven by a custom 396 engine and has unique Hip Foose designed wheels. The proceeds are going to the Darrell Gwynn Foundation and specifically to the wheelchair donation program.

GM is also donating the Chevrolet Camaro COPO Racecar VIN 001. This SEMA–vehicle is going to benefit the Achilles Freedom Team, which builds running programs and marathon opportunities for disabled veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

The fourth vehicle is 1969 Camaro Z/28 Resto-mod delivered by Torque Sports and Performance. Hulk Hogan will assist for the auction here and the gathered money will go to the SJO Foundation For Hope.

At last, we have the modified GMC Sierra Custom Pickup from 1996 with lot number # 3002. The vehicle was privately donated and the proceeds will benefit the Boy Scouts of America.

Take a Look at this Coupe-Inspired Honda Civic Type R

2017 Honda Civic Type R Coupe Render This Honda will be praised or it will be hated, there is no interstitial opinion. The Type R coupe rendering has been a result of the work of Wild Speed, but we found it at CivicX forum, where people actually loved it. The renderings are only two (unfortunately), but they are so exquisitely made that it looks like a real car. We only wish!

It is obvious that this Type R version is a consequence of the recently released Civic Coupe concept shown in New York. As a matter of fact, the company is actually launching the redesigned versions of the Civic range this fall.

The happy news is that the tenth-generation model will keep the great performance characteristics and fantastic design, with sedan, coupe, hatch and Si models featured in the line-up. Oh, and of course the irresistible Type R.

Let’s focus on the car we see here. It has more aggressive body, new quad exhaust system which is obviously borrowed by Chevy’s Stingray, and some other typical Type R accents here and there.

If we take for granted that this car would have the output of the current generation, then this means that its unit will produce is 310 hp (228 kW) at 6,500 rpm, and 400 Nm (303 lb-ft) at 2,500 rpm. The 0-to-100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration sprint will be covered in just 5.7 seconds on the way to a top speed of 270 km/h (167 mph).

Is it just a dream: Does Range Rover Pickup Exist?

Range Rover Pickup? Yes, it is not a joke. When I initially looked at the pictures I thought that they are renderings. However, this is a real car and it is going to make a world premiere at the Auto Shanghai. The team behind it is Startech. The fist that grabs the attention is the strange exterior, but there is more to this.

Inside, the pickup has been also modified with leather upholstery, Alcantara and carbon-fiber elements. Some updates have been made to the five-liter V8 supercharged engine as well and it now has an output of 526 hp (387 kW). This enables Startech’s pickup to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds. Unfortunately there is a top speed limiter positioned at 250 km/h.

What have happened to the exterior? First thing to note is the conversion from five-door car to a classy transport vehicle with pickup bed. This required designing and manufacturing more than 100 bodywork components from aluminum, carbon fiber and steel. And mind that the modified Range Rover has retained its five seats and spaciousness inside.

At the back behind the individual seats, the specialists have added rear bulkhead with heated tinted rear window, serving as a wall to the pickup bed. The roof has been also shortened but despite this, the panoramic sunroof has been entirely retained.

Next, the length of the pickup bed is 110 centimeters. Another 60 centimeters are added when the tailgate opens. Then, the specialists gave this vehicle widebody kit conversion. It comprises of various carbon-fiber infused parts like the new front bumper and the trim on the hood.

The impressive stance of the pickup is additionally strengthened by the integrated LED DRLs, side markers and front fog lamps. The front spoiler, side air deflectors and radiator grille round out the tuning of the face of the car.

Furthermore, the sides of the vehicle are dominated by the front and rear fender flares, carbon gills on the front doors and side mirrors, door trim and rear air intakes. The widebody kit also allows for 23-inch forged wheels installation. Called Monostar S, the alloys are black and are mated with huge tires.

The height of the pickup has also been lowered by 30mm via adjustable Startech suspension. In addition, at the back the standard bumper has been replaced with carbon one, and there we also see the dual tailpipes of the new exhaust system. It actually can control the sound of the V8 and contributes to the increase in the power output.

So far so good, but the question is why Startech has made all that effort to make a vehicle that is neither a pure Land Rover (famous with its capabilities) nor a pickup. At least we should applause their good work and efforts. They have impressed us.

Meet Cadillac ELR from 2016 Model Year!

Cadillac ELR Side View Yes, Cadillac’s next generation ELR is here. It is powered by a revised electric drive system, features enhanced handling, steering and braking, and can show-off with OnStar with 4G LTE as a standard. The electrified luxury coupe comes equipped with a vast range of updated features, which makes it more and more desirable.

The major upgrades involve the powertrain, thus delivering 25 percent boost in power and torque, faster acceleration improved by 1.5 seconds for the 0-60 acceleration sprint and higher top speed. In addition, vehicle’s chassis and steering has been retuned for even better handling. Everything stays in control due to the more responsive brakes and the new Performance equipment package.

To go further into details, the new ELR has software upgrades to the battery system. The result is better power and acceleration, and wider EV range. When in Sport mode, this car is capable of achieving 0-60 mph acceleration in 6.4 seconds.

The full driving range of the car is 330 miles (530 km). This includes pure electric driving which is also efficient. Despite this, powertrain’s total output is 233 horsepower (174 kW) and 506 Nm (373 lb-ft) of torque. On a battery alone, the Cadi can travel up to 39 miles (60 km) emitting zero CO2.

Furthermore, the 2016 ELR will be one of the most-connected vehicles, because it will feature OnStar with 4G LTE and standard built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. While browsing online, the passengers will be sitting in the luxurious “cut-and-sew” interior. There is also the option of Semi-Aniline full leather seating. The other highlight inside is the eight-inch configurable instrument and driver information display, always giving the most important information.

In terms of Driver Assistance active safety systems the ELR will be loaded as a standard with side blind zone alert, rear cross traffic alert, Intellibeam headlamps, lane change alert and vehicle security system. The adaptive cruise control will come as an option.

2016 Cadillac ELR is currently on sale and has a starting price of $58,495 USD.

Larte Design is Drawing Your Attention with a Sketch of Basalt-Made Tesla

Larte Design Tesla Model S Sketch We are very impatient to finally see Larte Design Tesla Model S when it debuts tomorrow at the Top Marques Monaco. The reason for this is that we have just received a sketch of the car, which looks breath-taking. The other reason is that this Model S will have a body work made from basalt fibers, which will save a lot of weight. So, this is the first, official and only sketch of the Tesla that you can find on the Internet, since there are a lot of speculations about it and even fake photos.

As you can see, the design studio has sketched lightning-like sharp lines to highlight the sporty stance of this electric vehicle. The red exterior color also strengthens this impression. As mentioned, the bodywork will be made of the innovative material, basalt fiber, which is actually produced from natural lava rock.

Can you imagine that this material can even proudly compete with the carbon fiber? Just mind that the whole bumper set of this Tesla weighs only 13kg. And this includes the accessories!

All in all, from what we see from the sketch, this car will look astounding. And if you are anywhere near Monaco, then you should definitely go and take a look on it. So what’s left, is to witness the car debuting tomorrow and this is when a lot of question will be answered. Stay tuned!

Buick Teases Next-Gen Verano Ahead of Shanghai Debut

Buick Verano Teaser The next generation Buick Verano is (sadly) to be showcased for the first time at the Auto Shanghai 2015 this Sunday. The sports sedan is going to be called not Verano but “Wei Lang” in Chinese. The model is at the core of Buick’s strategy of expanding to the east, thus they have equipped it with various features that enhance not only the design of the car, but also it’s driving capabilities.

There is only a teaser released, meaning that we are going to see the sedan for the first time on Sunday. However, the company has revealed that that the model will offer “refreshed experience” thanks to its stylish and dynamic changes in the exterior. The interior will also be more exquisite and comfortable.

In terms of power, the Verano will probably get the same engine range as in 2015 model year, thus offering powerful performance. Buick also said that the new model will be inspired by the both the 2013 Buick Riviera and the Buick Avenir concept cars, and this fact makes us really impatient to see it.

As a matter of fact, the future Verano is an example of company’s insight into the aesthetic choices of Chinese customers. Therefore, it will stay typical Buick in terms of design, but it will also be innovatively reimagined. It is expected to how new standards in terms of safety and comfort.

There are no words on North American debut of the new Verano. Fingers are crossed.

Flying Cars by Sylvain Viau. A Must See Project!

Citroen Cx Gti Turbo Flying Car Some of the strangest ideas end up the best ones eventually! Just imagine what would have happened if Steve Jobs has never envisioned the touchscreen or its revolutionary software programs. Or let’s take it a step further, image what would happen if Nicola Tesla wasn’t that persistent with its rebellious (for that time) idea of distributing electricity to everyone. Of course, he has envisioned this to happen free of charge, but still the world isn’t the same after electricity stepped in.

Now, imagine cars without wheels. I’m sure you’ll find this task very hard, because it’s probably beyond comprehension. But for this reason we have talented graphic designers and photographers who can make anything possible, at least virtually.

One of them is the French designer and photographer Sylvain Viau, who is an expert in both photography and photo manipulation. He has managed not only to imagine the cars without wheels, but also to recreate them onto virtual paper.

The first car he started with was the Citroen Cx Gti Turbo produced in 1984. The model was famous for its very smooth handling and hydraulic suspension system. In fact, it is well known that these cars are also named “flying carpets”. And this is where the French designer got inspired to make this Citroen flying. Literally.

The end result is that in the process he got involved with other cars and is continuously working on transforming them. This project is worth seeing and you can do this below or at Viau’s official Behance profile. And maybe it is time for the world to think about flying cars, isn’t it?

Updated Seat Alhambra is More Efficient but More Powerful

Seat Alhambra Front and Side View If you are a fan of Game of Thrones, then you would probably know that some of the scenes are actually filmed in Alhambra in Granada, Spain. This is a very beautiful palace and fortress complex and was originally a very small fortress built in 889 but then dropped behind. What makes it so special is that it was eventually rebuilt in the mid-11th century by the Moorish emir Mohammed ben Al-Ahmar, who has made it famous for its looks. And here is where its name comes from, literally meaning: “the red one”.

But enough history talk, we are here to discuss the new generation Seat Alhambra that was just released and carries by accident (or not) the same name. The first thing to say about this MPV is that it is up to 15 per cent more fuel efficient, despite its increased output. Of course, the reason for this is the updated engine range.

It has been completely revised and all diesel and petrol powertrains in it fulfill the Euro 6 emissions standard. There are two 2.0 TDIs, with the first one delivering 150 hp (110 kW) that corresponds to 57.6 mpg and 130 grams of CO2 per km, and the second one with 184 hp (135 kW) and 380 Nm (288 lb-ft). There is also a 1.4 TSI petrol engine that joins the range and it will produce 150 hp. The optional transmission is the DSG dual-clutch automatic.

Furthermore, the new model is also equipped with SEAT Easy Connect infotainment systems. These comprise of high-resolution touchscreen displays and navigation. The other standard equipment here is the multi-collision brake system. New and optional are the Blind-Spot Sensor, Dynamic Chassis Control and those comforting massage seats.

Sadly, the exterior design of the car hasn’t been changed much. At the back we see LEDs, while at the front there is a new grille and logo of Seat. The wheels also feature different design. Inside, the Alhambra received additional trim colours, the steering wheel is now with SEAT Leon’s design and there is also a keyless entry and start system.

Seat Alhambra will be available in dealerships this summer.

Toyota is Ready To Celebrate Earth Day

2016 Toyota Mirai There was a time, nearly 15 years ago, when a small and unknown hybrid, named Prius was shown to the world, to celebrate Earth Day. Today, in 2015 year, the redesigned hybrid will be shown in Washington D.C. to demonstrate the next-gen technology and gadgets. Which is the hybrid you ask? The one and only Toyota Mirai.

Toyota team colaborates with Earth Day Network to support and sponsor the Citizen 2015 Earth Day, that, as you know is between 17 and 19 August. The celebration will feature leading environment-involved organizations, government leaders and lots of different global organizations. In addition, the festival is the start for the fuel cell features and festivals for Toyota.

The Mirai itself will greet the celebration with a special system, that mixes hydrogen and oxygen, that creates electricity, which powers the motor. The only consumable is water. How cool is that?

And there are more good news. beyond Earth Day, Toyota has planned April to be sort of educational month. The brands team will show and explain how the fuel cell technology work and will reveal the sorcery behind the hydrogen-powered engine.

The incredible zero emission Toyota Mirai is a mid-sized four door sedan, that has behavior, similar to a combustion engine. It is capable of travelling about 300 miles with a full tank.

The Mirai will go on sale in California later this year.

A Special Camaro for a Special Event

Chevy is selling the first 2015 COPO Camaro sport vehicle to raise money for the Achilles Freedom Team of Wounded Veterans (AFTW) campaign. The hand-built monster will be sold on Saturday, April, 18. The whole winning bid will be given to the non-profit organization AFTW, that helps disabled people to improve their physical abilities.

Chevrolet showed the 2015 COPO Camaro last fall at the SEMA show in Las Vegas. The incredible look includes the Abalone White exterior and the monstrous 350-cubic-inch LSX sport engine, that produces overall of 555 hp (408 kW). The powerplant works in full harmony with the especially designed three-speed automatic gearbox, that together bring incredible performance and system response.

Each COPO Camaro vehicle is hand built and is designed to take place at the NHRA Stock Eliminator drag race. Interesting fact is that “COPO” comes from Central Office Production Order, a process used in the 1960s for fleet managers, who order unusual combinations of technology gadgets.

The 2016 COPO Camaro comes with a special safety system, that is NHRA-approved. It includes a special roll-cage and solid axle system, that altogether ensure a safe and comfortable ride.

The COPO Camaro bid will start at Friday, April 18.
