Ford Debuted the 2015 Taurus. The 2015 Focus and Explorer are Also Revealed.

2015 Ford Taurus Ford Motor Company stays true to its customers not only in China but all around the world and showed it with the debut of the restyled Ford Taurus sedan. In addition to the unveiling, Ford team also showed the Focus sedan and hatchback and the Ford Explorer SUV. Setting a benchmark for sedans in China, the refreshed Taurus brings clean and beautiful design and wonderful system tweaks, that are especially built for the Chinese customers.

When I say design and system tweaks, I mean the beautiful grille, the dramatic LED headlights and somehow muscular visuals. Customers will be surprised by the elegant interior, that brings some premium features, like massage seats, panoramic sunroof and second-row legroom.

The heart of the Taurus sedan is a Twin-Turbo 2.7-Liter EcoBoost V6, so well designed, that brings incredible high-output performance and incredible fuel consumption efficiency.

But not only the Taurus deserves our attention. The 2015 Ford Focus also have incredible features, that should be seen by everyone.

The 2015 Focus comes with beautiful and expressive exterior and a clean, cozy and modern interior. Some of the gadgets, included are Active City Stop, Active Park Assist, SYNC2 connectivity system. All these as many other make the 2015 Focus one of the best cars today, when it comes to gadgets and new-age technologies.

The 2015 model comes with the award-winning 1.0-Liter three cylinder and 1.5 four-cylinder EcoBoost engines or with the 1.6L Ti-VCT engine. All the engine models have some incredible performance and further-improved fuel efficiency systems.

And last, but not least, the redesigned 2015 Ford Explorer shows some redesigned and beautiful grille, robust LED lights. The inside is comfortable, clean and comes with simplified control panel.

The Explorer, as the Focus and the Taurus, offers incredible pack of technologies, including the Active Park Assist and a hands-free tailgate. The powerplant comes in two models: the 3.5-Liter V6 or the 2.3-Liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engines.

VOW Concept Promises a World of Wonder and Excellence

Venucia VOW Concept Front View DFL-PV is short for Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company and it is a result of the combined forces of Nissan and Dongfeng Motor Group. They have devoted their efforts to develop and distribute passenger vehicles. Well, Venucia is company’s name which is a result of this joint venture and which literally stands for the ancient Roman word for “Venus”.

At the front of any Venucia car we see the five stars that are a representation of company’s promises: respect customers, create value, do the best, achieve world-class quality and seek the dream. These values have been embodied in the VOW concept car that is currently on display in Shanghai.

The vehicle is a modern and sports-oriented crossover that just like the Lannia has been developed with the aim to attract young customers. In this case, the name VOW stands for the abbreviation of “Venucia Over Wonder” and it comes to signify that the car strives for excellence.

We see Nissan’s bold design here as well as a bright blue body color, which has been inspired by Bolivia’s Salar de Uyuni. If you are unfamiliar, this is a high plateau near the crest of the Andes Mountains that has these beautiful fresh and saltwater lakes and the world’s largest salt flat.

There aren’t many details released about the VOW concept, but we see that it mixes dynamism and elegance. At the front there are full LED headlights and huge grille and they both remind me of Infiniti’s SUVs. At the back, the taillights also include LEDs, while the most important feature of the sides are the huge alloys and the cameras in the place of rearview mirrors.

There are no words on a production version of the car, but it will be probably the best thing for the Venucia brand, since this is one of the best looking vehicles in the line-up.

McLaren is Ready to Release 540C Coupe

McLaren team is ready to launch the second model from the Sports Series, that will be named 540C Coupe. It will be shown at the Shanghai Motor Show, that is opened for visitors from 20 to 29 April 2015. This model will join the recently unveiled 570 S Coupe and together they will mark an incredible growth for 2015.

The 540C Coupe is a proud addition to the McLaren Sport line and proves it with every single detail. All the fans of the brand will instantly notice some similarities with the Super Series and Ultimate Series. Some of them are the carbon fiber chassis and the next-gen race-inspired drive technology.

The 540C Coupe is geared with a 3.8-liter twin turbocharged V8 engine, that delivers incredible response and performance at every speed. In fact, this is an award-winning engine and as the name of the line suggests, it is built for high speed and high performance races. Further powerplant stats include 540 hp (397 KW) at 7,500 rpm and 540 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm.

This engine setup fits perfectly to the seven-speed seamless shift gearbox (SSG), which is further upgraded for additional weight loss and goes from 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) for the incredible 3.2 seconds. The top speed of the vehicle is 320 km/h (199 mph). Impressive, huh?

In addition to the incredible engine performance, carbon fiber elements are really dong a wonderful job with the overall weight reduction and fuel consumption efficiency: the 540C is with almost 150 kg lighter than the last McLaren model and has one of the best fuel efficiency systems ever installed on a McLaren car.

The 540C comes with a restyled suspension system, that includes a Formula 1 design, which ensures both stiffness and comfortable ride on the track. There are adaptive dampers, that could be further adjusted by the well-known McLaren “Normal”, “Sport” and “Track” settings.

The interior of the 540C is especially design to bring maximum space, comfort and most importantly visibility in every direction. The interior components are made with high-quality components, including luxury leather-coated seats, especially designed dashboard and a floating centre console. In fact, the car is geared with anything you will ever need in a sports car: navigation system, a big touch-screen monitor, Bluetooth connectivity.

Both the McLaren 540C Coupe and the 540S Coupe are incredible vehicles, that will proudly stand up next to the other models in the line. Both models are already available for purchase in more than 30 countries.

Nissan Debuts Friend-Me based Lannia [VIDEO]

Nissan Lannia Front and Side View Auto Shanghai will be welcoming two new production Nissan models: the Lannia and Murano Hybrid. The visitors will also see the GT-R Nismo and 370Z Nismo. Lannia was teased several times already, but today is the day of the big reveal. With it the model is showcasing its fresh persona and youthful character. This car is actually Nissan’s first product that was specifically developed for the young Chinese customers.

If the exterior of the Lannia looks somewhat familiar to you, this is because it is actually an evolution of the Friend-ME concept which we have seen debuting in China last year. The design of the car was inspired by the smooth, but at the same time muscular movements of wild animals, which makes it have unique personality and dynamic characteristics.

As we can see, the new production car in Nissan’s line-up has retained its predecessor’s geometric lines and edgy surface. We also witness the V-motion grille, kick-up C-pillar, floating roof and boomerang-shaped LED lights.

Is there something different throughout the interior? Well, the cockpit still focuses on the driver and keeps the great comfort values. Of course connectivity was a key focus in the design, since the Lannia must attract people in their 20s and 30s. In other words, the car is equipped with infotainment technologies such as advanced audio system with smart-phone connectivity and a 7-inch multimedia display screen.

Other important features in the Lannia are regarding the safety. The car has been equipped with Nissan’s new Safety Shield technologies and in addition it was engineered to achieve competitive levels of fuel efficiency. Unfortunately, the model will be distributed in China only.

How Bespoke is Infiniti Q70L? [VIDEO]

Infiniti Q70L Bespoke Edition Front and Rear View The next Japanese company with a big Shanghai reveal is Infiniti. It has premiered a bespoke edition of the Q70L luxury car. You may ask what is so special about this car. Well, the answer: its one-off interior that has been inspired by those of the Q80 Inspiration and Q60 Concept. The cabin is welcoming because it features warm atmosphere. To achieve this, the designers have done several things.

First, the bespoke version of the car features four individual seats upholstered in abundant white quilted leather. The redesigned rear actually frees around 150 mm for increased legroom. This also means entirely revamped seats and more spacious cabin. In addition, the four seats feature cushioned quilting, soft Ultrasuede and high-texture saddle leather.

Quilted leather has been also used for the door trim and ‘cut and sew’ headliner. Furthermore, hand-stitching has been the method preferred for the leather-wrapped steering wheel, glove compartment, door inserts and armrests.

Besides the interior, the Q70L Bespoke Edition has also some special exterior accents. The first one is the Arctic Aluminum paint scheme, which we have seen on the Q60 Concept. At the front Infiniti designers have added new LED headlights, double arch grille and front bumper with integrated fog lights.

At the back there are also integrated LEDs, new design for the trunk lid, slimmer rear bumper and a chrome rear finisher. And if you happen to be at Auto Shanghai, don’t miss the Infiniti Q80 Inspiration and e Q60 Concept, which are also on display.

Shanghai Meets Lexus ES and RX Models

Lexus ES Side View The next news regarding Auto Shanghai is about two Lexus’ models: the RX 200t and the ES luxury sedan. The first one was displayed in the turbo-engine form and precisely, it will be driven by the 2.0-litre turbocharged four cylinder engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The unit includes VVT-iW intelligent/wide variable valve-timing, a low-inertia turbocharger and an air-to-liquid intercooler. This makes the RX capable of producing 225 hp (165 kW).

There is a second engine choice for the RX: the 3.5-litre V6 petrol one, which will be mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. This unit will be responsible for the 300 hp output. At last, the range is rounded-out by the full hybrid version of the RX, which will utilize an Atkinson cycle 3.5 V6, together with an electric motor, delivering the same horsepower.

On the other hand, the updated ES model currently wows the public in Shanghai with its elegant and progressive styling package, luxury interior and innovative Safety System +.

To go into details, the refreshed ES features company’s unique spindle grille in satin chrome to LED headlights, L-shaped DRLs, fog lamps positioned at the outer lower corners, new taillight design with L-shaped theme and a chrome-tipped rectangular exhaust. In addition, the ES runs on 17-inch alloys that perfectly complement the new exterior color.

Inside the enhanced cabin one sees a brand new instrument panel, refreshed new steering wheel, 4.2-inch TFT display and versatile color combinations which deliver a sense of elegance. The colors for the seats for instance include Topaz Brown, Ivory, Moonstone and Black. In addition, there are three interior trims: Piano Black, Bamboo and Shimamoku.

Like the RX, the ES is powered by refined 3.5-litre V6 petrol and hybrid powertrains. Both models will also get updated handling and sound-reducing layer behind the dashboard.

Honda Concept D Previews Future Production Model. Take a Look!

Honda Concept D Side and Front View The automotive manufacturers are annually displaying vehicles at so many shows around the world. One of the fast developing markets is the Chinese and therefore it is no surprise that there is an exhibition where we can see some cars that could not be witness anywhere else. I am speaking about the Auto Shanghai and Honda’s one-off Concept D vehicle.

There isn’t a lot of information disclosed about this concept model, however the automaker reassured us that this is an example for a future SUV, which is currently under development. It will be a mass-production car that is going to be distributed only in China domestic as a top-of-the-range model.

The new SUV offers high-quality driving as well as luxurious and comfortable experience inside the spacious cabin. And with this ends all official information. We can tell more only by judging the pictures.

The newest safety technologies and advanced features have been added to the Concept D. The front appears massive with its enormous grille and huge bumper, but it is somehow harmonized thanks to the LED DRLs and thin headlights.

At the sides we see 21-inch wheels, hidden underneath edgy wheel arches. What also grabs the attention here are the massive side skirts and the added cameras in the place of mirrors. Going to the back of the car are the new LEDs, the muscular rear bumper and the big air vents.

Given that the production version of the Concept D will be distributed in China, it is possible to see it in the form of a hybrid. There is also a lot of news about the show today, so stay tuned.

Mercedes-Benz Unveils GLC Coupe Concept

2015 GLC Concept With a well-known manner and style, Mercedes-Benz shows its latest masterpiece, that is indeed the Concept GLC Coupe. The idea behind the vehicle is to combine the well-known and successful GLE formula with compact style and more aggressive character. And as always, Mercedes-Benz team has done the job with German precision and passion, that only a few other have, when it comes to creating not just a vehicle, but a piece of art.

And really the Concept shows some incredible design. The front strikes you with aggressive lines and overall badass look, supported by the radiator grille, the large side air intake units and of course by all the trim elements, that are not only geared to bring maximum performance, but also to show some ready-to-conquer sporty design.

But definitely the design wonders don’t end here. The side profile of the SUV shows some incredible lines, that continue the sporty and aggressive affair, shown in the front. The roofline is lowered and further-restyled, just to fit perfectly with the recessed door handles and the side window blends. Further thrill and dynamics are added by the widened shoulders and wheel lips. In fact, all the extreme proportions bring the feeling of massiveness and domination. This SUV is definitely a machine, that is especially built to rule over every terrain.

The rear is precisely 78.7 inch wide and shows muscular and widened back shoulders, that support the 21-inch wheels. There are four stainless-steel tailpipes and a A-wing, that together blend to create not only striking visuals, but to boost the overall sporty performance of the SUV.

The overall styling of the Concept is tight, direct and makes clear, that this vehicle is especially created to take challenges on the road and not to be the beauty-queen-on-the-prom-night.

With a great exterior comes a great engine. The heart of the beast is a V6 powerplant, that produces a total of 367 hp (270 kW) and 384 lb-ft (520 Nm). In fact, the drive system has similar genes with the AMG line. This means, that the Bi-Turbo engine is connected with a 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic gearbox, that together work in perfect harmony with the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system. All the engine system units are especially built and connected to each other just to ensure impressive performance, fast response and overall sporty feel.

Volvo Is Ready to Unveil yet Another Hybrid

Volvo Hybrid Volvo Cars is ready to reveal the world’s first seven-seat vehicle, that is a plug-in hybrid. The ride will be first introduced in the United States and the model is XC90 T8 Twin Engine. The hybrid is powered with Volvo’s 2.0-Liter supercharged and turbocharged Drive-E powreplant and with a rear axle electric motor. With the cooperative power of both power supplies the car is capable of producing 394 hp (289 kW) and goes from 0-68 mph in 5.7 seconds.

The brand’s latest model will come with three selectable driving modes, that allow smooth performance and flexibility on every terrain and occasion. The modes are:

Hybrid: This is the default mode, often referred as the “casual” mode and brings alternate power from both motors and has the greatest fuel consumption efficiency.

Pure electric: Obviously the mode, that uses energy only from the electric motor. It is a wonderful city-drive based mode and is capable of going for about 17 miles without recharging.

Power mode: This is the special mode, that utilizes both the combustion engine and the electric motor. It works as this. When both engines are started, the system takes advantage of the electric motor, which has faster response time until the combustion engine gets up to speed. This is the ideal mode if you need better torque at lower revs.

The XC90 T8 design really highlights the sporty performance with incredibe features, that include the piano black grille, R-Designed front spoiler, dual tail pipes, silver trim. The cabin is really a comfortable place and welcomes the drivers with Nubuck and Nappa leather clothing.

With all the wonderful features, the XC90 TB has its well-deserved positive feedback. In fact, there is large interest in buyers, who already made tremendous preorder pays.

What is so Special About JE DESIGN’s Volkswagen Touareg?

JE Design VW Touareg Front View Today is the day of tunings, since this is the fifth. This time, my attention has been caught by JE DESIGN’s Volkswagen Touareg, which stands proud and beautiful. The flagship SUV now features more power, lowered stance and a new aero kit. To go into details, the latter comprises of brand new radiator grille, front spoiler, wheel arch flares. It adds also new roof spoiler and rear diffuser in order to make everything perfect.

In fact, the wider wheel arches are complemented by the new wheel spacers, an electronic lowering and new set of 22-inch wheels in matt black. These elements further emphasize the aggressive nature of the car.

But the designers did not modify only the exterior. The most impressive thing about this Touareg is the engine tuning. JE DESIGN has given the SUV additional control unit boost. The effect is that the V8 TDI has an increased output from 340 hp (250 kW) to 410 hp (301 kW). The torque has also grown significantly from 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) to 930 Nm (686 lb-ft).

Believe it or not, as a result this VW can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds! For an extra “power comfort” one can also add to this engine upgrade stainless steel twin tailpipes, which also serves as a visual complement. At last, the interior has minor upgrades like company’s logo on the door sill panels.

Posaidon with Two More Powerful Mercedes-AMGs

Posaidon has just released not one but two incredible tunings of Mercedes C63 AMG and AMG GT models. There is one common thing about those two and it is that they are powered by the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. The difference is in the nature of their lubrication. Precisely, the AMG GT has dry sump lubrication, while the other car utilizes a conventional wet sump system. Well, there is another thing in common and this is the direct re-programming delivered by Posaidon.

The standard output of the two-seater is 462 hp (340 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque, while its more powerful S version produces 510 hp (375 kW) and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft). After the conversion, both cars are capable of 630 hp (463 kW) and 725 Nm (535 lb-ft) of torque and a 337 km/h top speed.

In addition, the standard numbers of the C63 AMG are as follow: 476 hp (350 kW) and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) and 510 hp (375 kW) and 700 Nm (517 lb-ft) in the S form. After the ECU, they were changed to 610 hp (449 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. The top speed here is positioned at 328km/h.

The engine of the C-Class is mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission, while this of the AMG GT to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7G dual-clutch transmission, which explains why the torque of the latter car is lower.

Furthermore, Posaidon engineers are currently working on additional updates for the M177 and M178 engines. For their improvement they will use new turbochargers, free-flow exhaust systems and other hardware changes. At last, for additional safety, the tuners offer speed camera warning system which is integrated within the factory navigation system.
