Peugeot Breaks Efficiency Record With the 208 BlueHDi Model

2016 Peugeot 208 BlueHDi The latest Peugeot 208 lineup will now feature completely redesigned engine units that not only provides efficient fuel consumption, but also are crowned to be the best-performing non-hybrid machines on the market.

The refreshed lineup now meets all the Euro 6 standards and offers the intricate BlueHDi technology that keeps the CO2 emissions always below 95g/km. In fact, there are two 79g/km models for the Active and Allure trims, offering a total of 75hp (55kW) and a top speed of 190km/h (106mph). Other choices include the same 1.6-liter BlueHDi units in three variants: 75hp, 75hp Stop&Start, 100 hp (73kW) and 120hp (88kW) Stop&Start.

Known for combining SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) and special particle filter in advanced wayy, the BlueHDi technology shows how the most efficient system controls the whole powerplant.

Furthermore, the BlueHDi 100S&S version set a new long-distance fuel consumption record by running a total of 2,152km (1,337mph) with only 43 liters of diesel (9,45 gallons) with an average fuel consumption of just 2.0 liters per 100 kilometers. It looks like we have a real green energy fan over here, right?

Peugeot took the overall victory in 2015 MPG Marathon with the latest 208 diesel 5-door hatchback vehicle by driving in real-world conditions for over 385 miles and achieving an average fuel economy, measured at 104,5mpg. This means that the latest Peugeot family member has a drivetrainsystem that works way more efficient than its predecessors. To be precise, with exactly 29% better performance, when it comes to fuel consumption.

Another Debut for Datsun GO-cross Concept [w/videos]

Datsun GO-cross Concept front view Datsun GO-cross Concept was firstly premiered at the Tokyo Motor Show last October. With it the recently reborn brand declared ambitions to make an expansion in new high growth markets such Africa, Middle East and South East Asia… as well as India. And the perfect place to do that is the Delhi Auto Expo.

Although only in a concept variant, the crossover is company’s vision for a potential Datsun GO/GO+ family expansion into high-growth markets. It obviously features everything that the customer desires, with its style, adventurous character and ready-to-go attitude.

Furthermore, Datsun representatives said that the car has been created and designed with the aim to appeal to the new generation of drivers. In other words Datsun is seeking to attract young, ambitious and adventure-loving people.

At the show visitors will also see on display the enhanced versions of the Datsun GO and Datsun GO+. These vehicles are equipped with accessories, which meet the demands of customers who want a more individual ride. At the stand there are also the legendary Datsun Bluebird 1600 SSS (510) rally car, popular with it races in the United States and the special Datsun GO-Rally show car.

The latter was actually created by a group of passionate Japanese engineers and designers who were inspired by Datsun’s rich history in motorsports. It is an interpretation of what a modern rally car could be.

Another one-off vehicle at the expo is the Datsun GO+ Smart, which includes two gaming consoles in the rear of the popular MPV that give more versatility and entertainment options to families and will definitely appeal to gamers.

Porsche Exclusive Releases 911 Carrera S Cabriolet with Wooden Trim Interior

Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet by Porsche Exclusive Exterior Porsche Exclusive has introduced a very special edition of the facelift version of the 911 Carrera S Cabriolet. The car that you see features characteristic styling and interior design that hasn’t been used in other Porsches before. And it perfectly exemplifies the personalization options that the company is offering for the 911.

The Design

The Carrera S Cabriolet is dressed in Jet Black Metallic exterior color, which is contrasted by red brake calipers behind the 20-inch light gray multi-spoke alloys. But the real magic happens inside the car and it actually gives hints to some of the styling features that Porsche will include in its new model year vehicles.

The interior is adorned by elegant leather in Espresso color. Giving a luxurious feel is the wood trim, that has been used for the steering wheel, dashboard, door panels, center console and gearshift lever. This isn’t the typical trim that one uses for a sporty car such as the 911, however it gives a perfect example of how versatile a 911 Carrera Cabrio might look.

In addition, the interior of this particular example comes with Porsche crest embossed on the central armrest. Other contrasts are provided by the metallic accents all around the cabin.

There is nothing changed regarding the engine, so this means that this 911 Carrera S Cabriolet’s 3.0 litre six-cylinder engine generates 420 hp (309 kW) and 499 Nm (368 lb-ft) of maximum torque. This force is transferred to the rear wheels and managed with the help of the standard seven-speed manual transmission.

As an option, Porsche offers seven-speed PDK, which has the advantage of better acceleration time (especially when equipped with the Sport Chrono pack). Precisely, the vehicle runs from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds on its way to a top speed of 187 mph (301 kph). Without the pack and with the standard transmission the time rises to 4.4 seconds.

Toyota Announces Details About Future Races in 2016

2016 Toyota Racing Vehicles Toyota Gazoo Racing, brand’s in-house motorsport team announced plans for the 2016 season. What is known so far, is that the team will make more experiments with vehicles and strategies and will inspire even more fans and enthusiast all around the world.

The brand is ready to return to the World Rally Championship in 2017 and, in fact, preparations have already begun! The engineering team is working hard to develop a perfect Yaris hatchback-influenced sports car that will be worthy opponent at the WRC event. Also, Toyota will take part in the FIA World Endurance Championship, the notorious 24-hours race and the Japanese Rally Championship, all under the guidance of Gazoo Racing banner. Cool.

But let’s go back to 2016. This year’s WEC event will be contested with the recently created Toyota TS050 Hybrid that benefits from completely new Hybrid system. Also, this year will bring Toyota’s 10th entry in the well-known Nürburgring 24 Hours and the time will also celebrate the milestone by entering the Toyota C-HR Racing, influenced by brand’s future crossover vehicle.

Furthermore, Toyota will continue to prove itself worthy in NASCAR event in USA and also will support Toyota Auto Body’s entry in 2017 Dakar Rally in South America.

McLaren Announces Plans and Details Ahead of Geneva Motor Show

2016 McLaren 650S GT3 After witnessing one of the most successful seasons for McLaren team, the brand announces further plans. One of the most recent news is that the 650S GT3 will be showcased at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, along with other three McLaren vehicles.

Furthermore, the Factory Drive lineup will be refreshed with the 24-year old Come Ledogar. The young driver found that the GT races are more interesting than the one-seater events and now he plans to take a shot at the Blancpain Endurance Series with the McLaren 650S GT3.

Also, Rob Bell, 36 and Alvaro Parente, 31, will continue the relationship with McLaren GT. As you might know, the pair has managed to mark some incredible achievements and victories, including championship dominations with the 650S GT3.

Ant the fourth driver, Colin Thompson, 21, to join the Mclaren GT Driver Academy team, along with Alex Fontana, Struan Moore and Andrew Watson has made strong impression over the past seasons with his remarkable achievements that include securing the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup title back in 2014, later followed by the Pirelli World Challenge Porsche Cup championship. The young American from Doylestown, Pennsylvania now will join Parente as part of the K-PAX Racing/Flying Lizard Motorsports two car lineup with Pirelli World Challenge.

2016 Audi RS Q3 Comes With Style And Power

Meet the New Co-Host of Top Gear: Matt LeBlanc [w/videos]

Matt LeBlanc Joins Top Gear The star from the popular sitcom “Friends” Matt LeBlanc is officially announced the new co-host of the 23rd season of the British “Top Gear” show, which is scheduled for airing in May this year. LeBlanc is the first non-Briton, who is to lead the car show in its 39-year old history.

The actor, who became popular with his role as Joey Tribbiani, has participated in two episodes in the BBC show. He appeared twice in the “Star in a reasonably priced car” rubric, and is also a proud achiever of the fastest lap in race with a Kia c’eed.

The other official new host of “Top Gear”, Chris Evans said that he is thrilled that LeBlanc is joining him in this experience. Since both are “petrolheads”, acting out their “craziest car notions on screen” was a dream job. Evans also disclosed that he can’t wait to share what he and Matt LeBlanc have been up to.

LeBlanc expressed his excitement on social media with the following words: “Hey everyone, I’m really honored and looking forward to working on Top Gear with Chris Evans, damn he’s tall.” He later added: “I love the show. Should be fun.”

This will definitely take the show in new and unexpected direction after Jeremy Clarkson was dropped from it. The reason was a huge scandal that the star created, involving a “fracas” with Oisin Tymon, the producer of the show. James May and Richard Hammond also left “Top Gear” in support of their co-host. The famous trio however, will be returning with their own show on Amazon Prime.

Chrysler 200S and 300S Alloy Editions are Inspired by Detroit’s Local Artisans [Detailed Review]

Chrysler 200S and 300S Alloy Editions Front and Rear View Chrysler has just announced that it is going to debut special editions of the 200S and 300S models at the Chicago Auto Show. The uniquely styled cars are called Alloy Editions and they exude natural warmth and energy, and commanding brilliance through their unique bronze and titanium finishes. The special editions have been inspired by Detroit’s local artisans who continue to push design and ingenuity in new directions.What is more, both cars can be equipped with Chrysler’s innovative all-wheel-drive (AWD) system.

Based on the 2016 Chrysler 200S, this particular variant features blacked-out details that highlight the clean lines and expressive surfaces of the model. It is visible that the design of the 200S Alloy Edition is a blend of industrial inspired colors and materials.

Precisely, the grille and headlamps have Mobius strip-inspired design, which in turn have been “touched” with a dynamic grille texture contributing for a unique 3-D effect. All of this is amplified with Dark Bronze paint on the Mobius strip upper and lower grille surrounds.

We see Gloss Black accents almost everywhere. Together with the daylight opening (DLO) moldings, they play crucial role with the 19-inch Dark Bronze aluminum wheels. We can’t skip the Dark Bronze “200S” badge on the rear decklid, which shows the exclusivity of the Alloy Edition model. In addition, the Chrysler wing badge includes Titanium touches and the same design approach has been applied to the dual exhaust tips.

More athletic styling can be achieved with the optional Mopar exterior package, which will be factory-installed. It includes aggressive front chin spoiler, taller side sills with rear side sill extensions and rear valance.

Stepping inside the 200S Alloy Edition, we see how the designers have transferred the general theme. Actually the car will be offered with a choice of a Black cloth with leather trim, or Black leather seating, each of which will have Caramel accent stitching on the seats, center arm rest and door trim panels.

The exclusivity of the model is highlighted via the Black and Caramel stitching “S” embroidered on the front sport-contoured seats. To add even more uniqueness, the Piano Black is contrasted with Titanium-finished accents on the door trim panels, center console, outboard air vents and Chrysler wing badge steering wheel.

Chrysler 300S has been used as a basis for the Alloy Edition, which features prominent grille finished in Dark Bronze and Gloss Black dimensional textured grille fitted with a Titanium-finished Chrysler wing badge. Adding t the exclusivity is the Mobius strip in Dark Bronze, which outlines the lower grille opening and surrounds the LED fog lamps.

The Gloss Black DLO moldings are paired with 20-inch Dark Bronze alloys. At the rear the stance of the car is made more powerful via the Titanium-plated Chrysler wing badge and Dark Bronze-finished “300S” badge, which also signifies the exclusivity of the model. In addition, a Titanium-plated exhaust tips contribute for the athletic appearance. Rounding out the contemporary look are LED tail lamps with a Gloss Black accent and a body color rear fascia accent trim.

The cabin of the Chrysler 300S Alloy Edition is no less exclusive. In fact it adds luxury with the unique design elements and authentic materials like the Black Nappa leather with Caramel accent stitching on the sport-contoured heated front seats, rear seats, instrument cluster bezel, steering wheel and armrests.

More accents are added with the Titanium paired with Piano Black on the interior center stack, instrument panel, steering wheel, gauge cluster and door panel. Rounding-out the interior is a new instrument panel clock with its dark-colored analog face and Piano Black bezel.

Tuned Suspension, HEMI V8 and Aero Styling

Those who always want more of their cars have the opportunity to opt for rear-wheel-drive handling capability, new performance-tuned suspension with increased spring rates, performance-tuned steering and bushings, larger sway bars and Goodyear Eagle F1 Three-season tires.

In terms of performance, they can change the standard 300-horsepower (220 kW) 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine mated to a TorqueFlite eight-speed transmission with Sport mode and paddle shifters, with the 363-horsepower (267 kW) 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine with four-cylinder mode Fuel Saver Technology which also comes with uniquely sculpted side sills and deck lid spoiler.

An Advanced AWD

For customers who want the best of style and performance and even more all-weather traction, the new 2016 Chrysler 200S AWD Alloy Edition and 300S AWD Alloy Edition models include an advanced AWD system that delivers traction to all four wheels when necessary. The AWD can electronically adjust back to two-wheel drive for maximum fuel efficiency.

If one opts for the Chrysler 200S AWD Alloy Edition, then he or she will get an upgraded 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine with 295 horsepower (217 kW) and 355 Nm (262 lb-ft) of torque. On the other hand, the Chrysler 300S AWD Alloy Edition comes with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine coupled with TorqueFlite eight-speed transmission and the segment’s most innovative AWD system for up to 27 miles per gallon on the highway.

This Evoque Black Label Edition by Kahn is One-Off Bijou You Must See

Kahn Range Rover Evoque Black Label Edition Front View Range Rover Evoque is one of the most beautiful cars on the market nowadays, and the talented tuners at Kahn Design discovered a way to make it even more desirable and hot-looking. Called Black Label Edition for a reason, this one-off Evoque is based on the five door Range Rover Evoque 2.0 TD4 SE Tech model from 2016 model year.

All-Black Exterior

The design philosophy behind Black Label Edition is to make the Evoque… all-black. For this reason the customization experts have painted the vehicle in Santorini Black and have equipped it with matching styling pack. Speaking of which it comprises of special black LE front grille with a 3-D floating mesh insert, black side vents and rear tailgate trim.

At the back of the car, there is a rear bumper diffuser, side sill trim, and tailgate trim that have been painted in Satin Black. The Kahn branding rounds-out the exterior modifications if we have to exclude the wheels.

In fact, the factory alloys have been too changed with new in-house made Matte Black RS600 ones. They measure 20-inch and are fitted with 275x40x20″ tires at all four corners. Behind them we see brake calipers finished in heat resistant paint.

Mercedes Releases Details About the New SL Lineup

Finally, Mercedes-Benz SL is available for order from all Mercedes-Benz dealers. What the well-known German brand offers is incredible, provided the fact that all the standard features are now more, the optional choices are extended and all this with relatively good price. So, let’s check out what is going on here!

In terms of performance and drivetrain system the SL 400 offers a 4.0-liter V6 power unit that offers a total of 367hp (269kW), which makes it with 34hp more, compared to the older model, and can sprint from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in just 4,9 seconds. On the other hand, the SL 500 features a 4.6-liter V8 power unit with an output of 455hp (334kW) that allows the beast to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 4.3 seconds.

Mercedes-AMG SL 63 comes with a monstrous 5.5-liter V8 unit with the stunning 585hp (430kW) and sprints from 0 to 100km/h in 4.1 seconds. The second AMG masterpiece, the SL 65, is geared with even more powerful engine: a 6.0-liter V12 beast with 630hp (463kW). Also, the premium AMG lineup will grant buyers with AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed automatic gearbox for the SL 63 and AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC for the SL 65, while SL 400 and SL 500 will receive Mercedes-Benz’ 9G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission.

Vauxhall Releases More Details For the 2016 Mokka X

The front showcases stylish and symmetric looks with fewer plastic elements. Also, it looks as the front is a bit wider, solid and contributes to that muscular and confident stance. At the side the elegant lines continue their journey, where we see clean and sporty edges with powerful athletic body shapes. And last, but not least, the rear demonstrates double wing signature, distinctive taillamps and LED additios.

2016 Vauxhall Mokka X

Interior design

Inspired by Astra model, the Mokka X welcomes everyone in elegant, yet simple-styled cabin. The instrument panel is placed around horizontally shaped elements and looks somehow sharper and futuristic. Furthermore, the centre stack is redesigned and now also offers a seven- and eight-inch touch screens that serve for navigation and information, as well for entertainment purposes.

Drivetrain system

Mokka lineup will benefit from wider drivetrain range that now includes the 1.6-liter “Whisper Diesel” engine. This means that customers now can choose between the 1.6-liter variant and the 1.4-liter Direct Injection Turbo with a total of 152hp (111kW). Paired to a six-speed automatic transmission, the Mokka X achieves 42mpg and CO2 emissions of 154g/km.

It looks like this time Vauxhall team aims for the big hit. And of course, we all hope that superiority will not remain only on words, but we will see a fine vehicle with improved capabilities.
