Focused on the latest social technologies and trends, Chevrolet has released a showroom application designed for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, which allows fans to research and locate the ride they desire.

Of course, the Chevrolet Showroom app is free and is already available on the Apple’s App Store. It features the whole line-up of Chevy cars, trucks and crossovers, allowing users to style vehicles by its own vision and to locate them in nearby dealer’s ventory.

Jim Campbell, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet Marketing, shares: “The Chevrolet Showroom app allows customers to shop nearly anywhere and share their virtual vehicle with their friends. This is a natural addition to the ways people shop online for vehicles today.”

After locating its dream ride, users can save it to their device or share it with friends and family via e-mail or Facebook. Furthermore, the innovative app includes a Featured Gallery with historical photos and highlights of the 75 years of Suburban and some of the most memorable Corvettes.

I’ve seen this on several car sites yesterday and today so I said why not, I’ll bite and try it. It’s pretty neat and FREE! Dealer locater and vehicle searchs. Nice to see GM stepping up to the times and making mobile apps. The one I really want is Cadillac’s version.
