Custom Kahn Land Rover Defender 110 Makes Impressive Debut

Kahn Land Rover Defender 110 Double Cab Pick Up is this week’s offer by the famous British tuning company. The beautiful Defender is dressed in stylish Corris Grey exterior color and features a lot of styling tweaks that capture the attention. Abundantly modified, this Land Rover is an example for a good improvement when it comes to tuning.

Looking at it, my first thoughts are that I would definitely love to drive it. So let’s see what happened to this Defender that has made it so charming.

Opulent Exterior

This Kahn Land Rover Defender 110 is characterized by lavish modifications. Starting with the front, the car received new bumper which has integrated daytime running lights and shadow chrome headlights. The face of the Defender is also characterized by color matched X-Lander front grille and in-house made lower sump guard as well as stainless steel bonnet with exposed bolt apertures.

At the sides we see 1939 Retro wheels with mud flaps, new side vents, side steps and wider wheel arches, while the rear got new cross-hair exhaust system.

Refined Interior

The cabin of the 110 Double Cab Pick Up received ‘some’ changes as well. In fact, I am always stunned by the exquisite work of the tuner when it comes to the interior. Here, both front seats have been substituted with Sports GTB ones trimmed in a soft mix of black leather and Alcantara.

The steering wheel was changed with in-house made one. Below the waistline, the Defender received machined aluminium foot pedals. At last, rounding out this project is the Churchill time clock that has been incorporated into the dashboard.

BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition Individualized by TVW Car Design

TVW Car Design BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition Front View BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition was released back in October last year. If you remember well, then you should also know that this car was released to pay tribute to the DTM Champion Marco Wittmann. The car was released in 23 units only, which number isn’t coincidental but inspired by the number 23 on Marco’s championship winning racecar.

With all of its fantastic additional elements, it is very hard for comprehension that someone could want extra equipment. Precisely, to make the perfect tribute car, the exterior shade is in Alpine White, which mimics the Ice Watch on Marco Wittmann’s BMW M4 DTM racecar.

Just like on the racecar, the road coupe also received a bonnet, roof and boot lid finished in matt black and emblazoned with colourful stripes. There are also BMW kidney grilles outlined in orange as well as a decal set with lateral stripes, starting numbers, and flags and logos. Matt black 19-inch alloy wheels are also featured in the stock package.

The special sill plates, that show how exclusive this car is, also carry the signature of the 25-year-old DTM champion.

TVW Car Design’s Work Adds More to This

Obviously, the experts at TVW Car Design received a customer, who whished his or hers BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition to get even more distinctive appearance. Starting with the alloys, they have been substituted with BBS FI one-piece forged ones in 20-inch size. Of course, they were fitted with corresponding Michelin Pilot Super Sport UHP tires.

The handling was also improved. The experts at TVW Car Design added KW’s Clubsport fully adjustable coil-over suspension as well as Akrapovic Evolution Line titanium exhaust system. The latter features carbon-fibre tail pipes, which are integrated into the carbon rear diffuser.

Improved Power Output

The stock output of this BMW is 431 hp (317 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). M4’s 3.0-liter turbocharged straight six motor needed a little bit of boost achieved not only by the Akrapovic titanium exhaust system but also by the additional ECU increase. The result is impressive: 517 hp (380 kW and 700 Nm (517 lb-ft).

Maybe all of the mentioned modifications won’t appeal to everyone, since this is already a substantially modified production vehicle. However, TVW Car Design’s interpretation of the DTM Champion Edition offers a little bit different meaning than the stock M4 Coupe.

Hamann and fostla.de Unite For a Special Mirr6r BMW M6 Project

Hamann BMW M6 F13 Mirr6r by fostla.de is a project which involves not one but two tuning companies. This may sound a little bit flamboyant to you, but just take a look at the pictures in our gallery and you will find out how beautiful this car looks. Not to repeat that this is a BMW M6.

Under modification was the second generation M6, which will end up sportier and better looking. Read how this was achieved.

Extensive Tuning by Hamann

To make a comparison later, I should first mention the stock power output of the BMW M6 F13. Its production engine, produces 560 HP (412 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of maximum torque.

After the power optimization done solely by Hamann experts via add-on control device, the M6 received racing capabilities. As a result, the BMW pumps out 650 HP (478 kW) at 6,000 to 7,000 rpm and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of maximum torque at 1,500 to 5,750 rpm. Which is way better than the serial numbers, isn’t it?

To complement the extensive tuning of BMW’s engine, Hamann has also developed a special Mirr6r kit. It adds a lot of details like the front apron and two front wings for example. The face of the BMW M6 also received a new carbon aero bonnet.

The sides on the other hand are characterized by new skirts and multi-spoke ‘Anniversary Evo’ alloys. At the rear, we see broader rear wings, a central rear bezel, the rear apron and a three-part rear wing. At last, the exhaust proudly shows-off with silver end pipe bezels.

The final touches to this project have been applied by the specialists at fostla.de. To round out the work of Hamann, they have done two things. The first one is to add full wrapping in expressive blue-chrome-matt. And the second and last one is to tint all windows. And this is how the unique Hamann BMW M6 F13 Mirr6r by fostla.de was born.

Toyota Fortuner is the New SUV in Company’s Line-up

2015 Toyota Fortuner Front View 2015 Toyota Fortuner is the new offer by the Japanese brand for a seven-seat family SUV. It is actually the sixth SUV added to company’s line-up, which consists of RAV4, Kluger, FJ Cruiser, LandCruiser Prado and LandCruiser 200 Series. Toyota representatives say that the Fortuner is not only stylish, but also remarkably strong and features the option of a 4-wheel drive.

The new family SUV has three distinctive grades: GX, GXL and Crusade. They are all powered by 2.8-litre direct-injection four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine.

Engine

Toyota’s 2.8-litre diesel unit is absolutely new and is characterized by its efficiency, capability and performance. It uses highly efficient fuel-injection system and intake/exhaust ports. In addition, the engine is notable for its high torque at low revs. Precisely, it has a maximum torque of 450Nm (332 lb-ft) available from 1600 to 2400rpm. Regarding the horsepower, the powertrain generates 177 hp (130kW).

Furthermore, the unit is mated as a standard with a six-speed automatic transmission, but there is also the option of a six-speed manual. However, the manual’s peak torque is a little bit lower – 420Nm (310 lb-ft). GXL and Crusade grades get ‘intelligent’ technology for their six-speed manual gearbox. It helps in achieving smoother shifting by matching engine speed to transmission speed.

When it comes to fuel consumption, the Fortuner shows number below 8 litres per 100km.

What is Part-Time 4×4?

Part-time 4×4 can be used during day-to-day driving. Thanks to this feature the driver can dial to access Fortuner’s impressive four-wheel-drive ability in high or low range.

Furthermore, the Fortuner is equipped with a special suspension package. It was created to match the harsh road conditions of any terrain. In details, it includes double wishbones at the front and a five-link coil-spring configuration at the rear. In addition, the front and rear stabilizer bars keep under control the body roll.

Goodies in Each Trim Level

How about the equipment in each trim level? There are features included in all grades, like the standard reversing camera, seven airbags, hill-start assist control and an emergency stop signal. This also means that the SUV will be extremely reliable when it comes to occupant’s safety.

All grades will be also equipped with front and rear air-conditioning, large touchscreen audio displays, Toyota Link connected mobility, side steps, 17- or 18-inch wheels, disc brakes at all four corners and an air-conditioned compartment.

Only GXL and Crusade will get standard roof rails, fog lamps, reverse parking sensors, keyless smart entry and start, and downhill assist control. While the top-of-the-range Crusade adds bi-LED headlamps and DRLs, power back door and 18-inch alloys.

In fact, these alloys have been specifically machined for the Huracan. The process which the specialists are using allow for a custom width and offset, and therefore for more individual appeal. In addition, the wheels look fantastic in this Piano Black finish that perfectly contrasts the poison green exterior color of the Lambo.

More Power?

Since Klässen iD is a company which puts an emphasis mainly on wheels, the car did not receive any other changes, including the engine. This means that the 5.2 liter V10 keeps its production 610 horsepower (448 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque.

The engine is linked to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission and an all-wheel drive system. Of course, this will still allow Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 to cover the 0-100 km/h acceleration sprint in 3.2 seconds, and the 0-200 km/h in 9.9 seconds, running after a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph).

Mercedes-AMG Uprates CLA 45, CLA 45 Shooting Brake and GLA 45

2016 Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG Front View Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 4MATIC, CLA 45 4MATIC Shooting Brake and GLA 45 4MATIC models are now getting significant updates. The improved vehicles will enter dealerships in September, so if you have decided onto buying one, you should consider waiting a couple of months. The upgrades are fantastic and they are regarding the appearance, driving engagement and powertrains.

A 45 4MATIC as an Example

The recently enhanced A 45 4MATIC AMG serves as an example of the changes regarding the other three. As a reminder, the A-Class is powered by an uprated AMG 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which now generates 381 hp (280 kW). This is an increase of 21 hp (15 kW). In addition, the optimum torque was improved with 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) to 475 Nm (351 lb-ft).

Car’s performance levels are even better due to the revised gear-ratio 7-speed dual clutch transmission as well as the innovative DYNAMIC SELECT transmission modes. Regarding the driving dynamics, extras here include AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension and AMG DYNAMIC PLUS package. So this is basically what we will find on the other three Mercedes-AMG models.

How Changes Affect the Performance of the Trio

Having in mind all of the updates, we can also expect from the trio better performance, can’t we? So, starting with the CLA 45 4MATIC, it will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. Compared to the previous generation, this is 0.4 seconds faster.

When it comes to its Shooting Brake version, the acceleration time is 4.3 seconds. The Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 is slower than previous two, with 0-100km/h run covered in 4.4 seconds.

Due to sophisticated technology, Mercedes managed to keep the consumption levels unchanged from the previous models. Precisely, the CLA 45 4MATIC and Shooting Brake need 6.9 litres per 100 kilometres, emitting only 161 g/km of CO2. The The GLA 45 4MATIC consumes 7.4 l/100 km and has corresponding to 172 g/km CO2.

If you after all have decided to wait two months and buy the new versions of these jewels, then it will cost you this: €56,673.75 for the CLA 45 4MATIC, €57,268.75 for the CLA 45 4MATIC Shooting Brake and €56,168.00 for the GLA 45 4MATIC.

McLaren 675LT Makes Dynamic Debut. See it! [VIDEO]

McLaren 675LT Front View McLaren 675LT was officially revealed back in February after a long teaser campaign. Since summer days are more for outdoors experiences, McLaren decided to unleash the supercar on the track. Fortunately, everything was captured on a video, so you and I are now lucky and can view it. This is a memorable video, since its shows a lot of the performance capabilities of the 675LT. What is more, this is actually car’s debut on the track, which makes everything even more impressive.

Fast Facts about McLaren 675LT

As you know, McLaren 675LT is the lightest by far and most powerful vehicle the company has ever produced for the Super Series. It is also the most track-focused one. You might ask why this is so? Well, the reasons are many, but the most important ones are the following: first the 675LT has been aerodynamically optimized and lightweight, meaning that it mainly built from carbon fiber.

This material has been used everywhere: from the front splitter and the big active ‘Longtail’ Airbrake, right to the carbon fiber-shelled bucket seats inside. As a result 675LT achieves a dry weight of just 1,230kg.

The aero-credentials of the car are also fortified by the aerodynamics that also focuses on driver’s engagement. As a matter of fact, in the video below you will find that the track-focused dynamics are highlighted further as the Napier Green model is demonstrated in each of its three handling and powertrain modes.

The exhilarating performance of the car is due to the powerful 3.8-litre V8 twin turbo engine producing 675PS (666bhp). It is also responsible for the mighty sound. Well, here also helps the titanium crossover exhaust.

Lightweight and powerful, the car is actually fully road legal. It is capable of covering the 0-100km/h acceleration time in 2.9 seconds. The 200 km/h barrier is broken in 7.9 seconds, focusing on the next goal – the 330 km/h top speed and going beyond it.

Production of the unique McLaren 675LT will be strictly limited. Now take a look at it as it makes its dynamic debut on the track.

Snowmobile Enters Drag Race Vs Ferrari I have never imagined that this could be possible: this video shows how two Ferraris enter a drag race with… a snowmobile. And it is insane! But isn’t this exactly what happens when you think you’ve seen everything. Especially when it comes to the crazy world of automobiles.

The strange racing happened at the Modball Rally this June at the Varano de’ Melegari racetrack. The snowmobile actually made several drag races against two Ferraris: F430 Spider and 458 Spider. Guess who won? You will be amazed! Just take a look:

There Are Significant Updates for 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500… That We Fail to See

2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 features bolder looks, with more sculpted exterior, masculine presence that suggests dependability. The other new things are the available Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as the expanded use of the eight-speed transmissions. There is also additional safety technologies featured. And that’s it. It seems that the so called significant changes are not that significant after all.

Having in mind that Chevy’s pick-up trucks are on a roll this year with 32% higher sales for this year, this explains that why we are not going to see much changes in the model. Obviously the company is constantly trying to attract new buyers with minor updates to a good product. That’s not a bad thing though. But how much more could one get, given the fact that more goodies always mean more money?

New Front End Design

Well, this is disputable, since 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 looks like a Chevrolet Silverado 1500, if you know what I mean. But updates regarding the exterior are there: the ‘more muscular’ appearance which is emphasized via the new ‘bold horizontal elements, sculpted hoods and dramatic lighting’, which seems to reflect the strength of the full-size pick-up. Dramatic lightning… oh, come on!

Other Changes

Other changes are applied to the eight-speed automatic, which Chevy claims to be used more in the future Silverado. The company has also added an optional Chevy MyLink with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are also additional safety technologies that haven’t been announced.

Since there is so less to say about this pick-up, I can’t stand behind the words ‘significant changes’ as Chevrolet did. Of course, we will still wait for more data to come and enlighten us, how this vehicle will be actually made better. And please, don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that Silverado 1500 is a bad machine. I am just trying to figure out where these major updates are.

Obviously, I have to wait until this fall, when the redesigned 2016 Silverado 1500 will make its official debut.

Toyota 86 GT Yellow Limited Only For Those Living in Japan

Two Toyota 86 Yellow Limited Cars Toyota 86 GT Yellow Limited was just revealed and unfortunately, for those living outside Japan, it will be distributed there only. The special specification car can be ordered for a very limited time: from 13^th of July till the end of September. Then, the productions is scheduled to start on 2^nd of November.

Exterior Mimics the Sun

The exterior of the Toyota 86 GT Yellow Limited has been made so exuberant due to the application of the special Sunrise Yellow exterior color. It has been contrasted with black mirrors and black 17-inch alloys.

The interior was also decided in those two contrasting colors. However, the black here is the main one, used for the Alcantara upholstery, while the Ashirai yellow was utilized for the stitching.

Aero Pack

But if this does not appear enough for you, then you should know that there is also a special aero pack for this special Toyota 86 GT. It adds custom spoilers for the front and rear bumpers (the rear one is also larger), new side mudguards and a massive rear wing.

And an FT Aero Kit

If you think that Toyota will simply stop at this point, you are wrong. There is much to be added and this visible via the addition of another aero pack for this special Toyota 86 GT Yellow Limited.

What it adds? For instance, the rubbers here are Bridgestone POTENZA S001 coming in size of 215/40R18 at the front, and 225/40R18 at the rear. They are connected with BBS 18-inch forged aluminum wheels. The kit also gives the car the advantage of sport brake pads and SACHS shock absorbers.

It is always sad to know that such cars are only intended for limited number of people…

LARTE Design Releases Dark Blue Infiniti QX80 LR3

LARTE Design Infiniti QX80 LR3 will appeal to those who like vehicles like the latest Range Rover Sport by Kahn Design. In fact, you are probably one of the first to see it! The SUV is ‘dressed’ in beautiful dark blue exterior color, which further enhances its sense of style, and reflects elegance and freedom.

But the color isn’t the most important thing about this tuning project. It also received prominent changes and visual highlights that make its appearance stronger and more powerful. Basically, LARTE Design have accentuates his details to the maximum.

Detailed Exterior

For the additional parts, the tuning studio used only high-quality composite materials. And as you can see the overall design of the car is more … ‘martial’, featuring a lot of edges, corners, highlighted spoilers and air intakes.

Going into details, at the front there are two pairs of round lamps that are not stock for the Infiniti QX80. At the opposite side, LARTE Design experts decided to install stainless-steel exhaust system with four pipes. Each pipe has a diameter of 101 millimeters, is made of chrome and arranged in two pairs on the left and right.

Furthermore, there is also a newly deigned apron in the style of the front bumper. Speaking of which – it is more square, three-dimensional and thus more aggressive.

LARTE Design Infiniti QX80 LR3 runs on special multi-spoke alloys. Their design features large spaces in between so that the brake system could be perfectly seen.

Special design treatment has been also featured for the interior. For instance, the foot spaces and the luggage compartment include high-quality teak flooring. The same material was also used for the door-sill protectors encased in brushed metal frame.

At last, the entire exclusive exterior is packed with a lot of power. 400 horsepower are coming directly from the strong V8 engine, this turning this SUV into a real power package.

What’s new for 2016 Lexus ES 300h?

Furthermore, it is vitally important for those keen on luxury, to mention that Lexus has used even softer materials in order to deliver more comfortable experience for its occupants. Details like the silver-trimmed piano black door switch plates give the 2016 ES 300h interior a richer appearance.

As you can see from the picture above, the steering wheel looks sportier and in general the entire design philosophy for the cabin has been sports-oriented. You know that 2016 Lexus ES 300h is a hybrid, right? This means that it runs with the help of Lexus Hybrid Drive system, which combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine with an electric motor. As a result it produces a combined power of 200 horses.

In addition, it can also run on electric motor or gas engine alone. The cool thing here is that the car actually features a Hybrid System Indicator, displaying the utilization of energy and encourages efficient driving habits.

2016 Lexus ES 300h uses Lexus Hybrid Drive system to produce more than 200HP of total output.

The driving spirit is encouraged by four different driving modes: Normal, Sport, Eco and EV, specifically created for all driving situations. The best thing is that the ES 300h also has excellent fuel economy. It shows ratings of 40 mpg city / 39 mpg highway / 40 mpg combined.

Left Unmentioned

There is a lot to tell about the new ES 300h. However, we try to highlight only the new. So what has been left unmentioned here are the standard 10-way adjustable power front seats, automatic climate control, the power tilt-and-slide moonroof and the power-adjustable outside mirrors with turn signals and defoggers. Next to the standard 17-inch wheels fitted with 215/55R17 low-rolling resistance tires, Lexus is also offering the optional 18-inch alloys.

2016 Lexus ES 300h will be offered in three trim levels: Premium, Luxury and Ultra Luxury. The latter two packages add (for 2016 model year) wood trim on the center console and emboss pattern on the seats.
