BMW Releases 2016 M235i Track Edition Limited to 12 Copies Only

2016 BMW M235i Track Edition Front View 2016 BMW M235i Track Edition received this beautiful photo-shoot in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, which you can view in our gallery below. The reason for it wasn’t a shier enjoinment of the images, but the fact that BMW is actually introducing a special edition of only 12 copies to the Netherlands’ automotive market. The limited edition series pictured in the gallery received additional treatment from the experts at Baan Velgen, who gave the M235i more stylishness.The main reason for the release of this limited BMW M235i Track Edition in the Netherlands only, is to simply boost the sales in the country. As the name shows, the two-door sports coupe is equipped with M Performance Parts, giving it more athletic and dynamic appearance.

M235i Track Edition & M Performance Parts

As a matter of fact, the car got the complete M Performance Parts body kit. But what does it include? The answer: a lot of stylish components. At the front, there is a brand new splitter and lip spoiler as well as blacked out kidney grilles. The sides come adorned by new side skirts, while the tails gets a redesigned rear diffuser and M Performance stainless steel exhaust system. 19-inch alloy wheels come as a standard in these 12 limited editions.

Baan Velgen Treatment

The special treatment by Baan Velgen is seen via the 19-inch Tarmac Black HRE FlowForm FF15 wheels. Obviously, the specialists did not enjoy the stock alloys, and decided to do something about it. Nothing has been changed in the engine, so this means that the BMW M235i Track Edition keeps its stock’s output. Powered by the 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder engine, it is capable of producing 326 horsepower (240 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of maximum torque. The unit is connected to 8-speed Steptronic transmission, thus ensuring a 4.8 seconds for the acceleration sprint from 0 to 100 km/h and on the way to a Vmax of 250 km/h.

Straight to the numbers, the G-POWER 435d xDrive F32 has a power output increase of 67 hp and 125 Nm of torque. This significant update was achieved via performance software.

A Total of 380 hp and 755 Nm

As a result, the BMW 435d has now an output to brag about: 380 hp (279 kW) and 755 Nm (557 lb-ft) of torque. As a matter of fact, the 3.0 litres 6-cylinder serial motor with its default Biturbo charge was the perfect basis for the additional power increase.

The special performance software tunes the factory BMW motor electronics, thus increasing the power by 67 hp (49 kW) to a total of 380 hp (279 kW). The torque improvement is even more impressive, adding a total of 125 Nm and resulting to a staggering 755 Nm (577 lb-ft).

Kill the Top Speed Restriction

How about the top speed? G-Power did not provide any details about it, but only said that there is the option of “killing” the serial top speed restriction. The way they can do this is to raise the limit of the top speed to a theoretical value that can not be achieved in practice. This is how, the G-POWER BMW 435d xDrive would be capable of achieving a top speed that is in accordance to its new power output.

Exterior Gets Minor Changes

The guys at G-Power have obviously concentrated on the “heart” of the BMW. This is why there is not much work done on the exterior or the interior. Well, more sportiness is gained via the new set of 20-inch big G-POWER HURRICANE RR forged wheels. They will surely assist in the perfect way the new horsepower and torque capability of the BMW 435d.

Trailering Package as a Standard Feature

The Duramax diesel engine will be available for SLE and SLT Crew Cab models. They can be equipped with 2WD or 4WD. In addition, the diesel-equipped models will get the Trailering package as a standard. Corvette ZR1 C6 Taking Out Two Mercedes-AMGs? [VIDEO]

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 vs Mercedes SLS AMG vs Mercedes C63 AMG Mercedes-AMG fans will hate this video, because it shows how a Vette C6 literally destroys two AMGs in a drag race. Everything is matter of seconds, but they are in favor of the Chevy. What’s even sad is that one of German-made cars was actually tuned. And can you believe that after the tuning, which gave the C63 AMG the strength of 700HP, it still couldn’t beat the Corvette ZR1?

Well, to be honest there are also some tweaks done on the Chevrolet, like the Stage 2 kit for the engine, which gives it the immense power of 720HP. Startech Releases a Commemorative Defender SIXTY8 in Only 68 Examples

Startech Land Rover Defender SIXTY8 is one-off tribute to the legendary off-roader. It is based on the Land Rover Defender 110 Station Wagon and will be produced in only 68 examples signifying the years the legendary Defender was into production. After a 68-year production run, the Defender will be no longer available, and for this reason the tuning company decided to release the exclusive model in a limited edition of just 68 vehicles globally.

Exterior

The exterior look of this vehicle is very classy. Featuring “Corris Grey Metallic” body and contrasting roof in “Santorini Black”, the car impresses with style and presence. In addition, Startech designers added in-house made Startech Series 3.1 vintage design appearance package.

What’s featured in this package? The answer: abundant tweaks for the Defender, making it stronger and more handsome than ever. Starting with the aluminum underride guard with SIXTY8 logo, the STARTECH Monostar D and continuing to the 18-inch alloys and tinted panoramic glazing for the rear windows, and ending with the new front, which transfers the design philosophy of the classic model with the unmistakable shape of its radiator grille to contemporary times.

The grill was painted in black and so were the bumper and air intakes. Something very special here are the LED highlights and the already mentioned Monostar D alloys with vintage design. The 18-inch wheels are coupled with BF Goodrich All-Terrain A/T off-road tires of size 265/65 R 18.

Interior

SIXTY8 has an extremely beautiful interior as well. As you can see from the picture above it is upholstered in a combination of “Tan Light Brown” and “Ebony Black” leather, featuring diamond quilting. The sports seats are equipped with seat heating. The cabin also includes ALPINE multimedia system with 3D navigation and backup camera.

The details can be seen on the headliner and the sun visors for instance, since they are covered with fine black Alcantara. There is a glove box that is stylishly integrated into the dashboard, while the steering wheel, stainless-steel scuff plates and aluminum shift knob, emergency brake lever and pedals carry the SIXTY8 logo.

Drivetrain

Interestingly enough, Startech did do some work on the powertrain. It packs a 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine rated at 122 hp (90 kW) and 360 Nm (266 lb-ft), a sixspeed manual gearbox with off-road reduction gear and permanent all-wheel drive. It accelerates the Defender to 100 km/h in 15.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 145 km/h.

How to Hijack a Jeep Cherokee Over the Internet? [VIDEO]

Jeep Cherokee Gets Hijacked Jeep Cherokee models are one of the most famous SUVs around the United States. The fact that many are eager on driving one is indisputable. We found a very interesting video on YouTube, recently published by WIRED’s official page. It previewed how Andy Greenberg’s SUV gets hijacked… by hackers over the internet.

If you think that this isn’t possible, well, given that the technologies are developing unsteadily fast, it is no surprise that people are capable of doing it. The video below shows how two hackers have developed a tool that can remotely kill a Jeep on the highway.

While, WIRED’s senior writer, Andy Greenberg, takes the 2014 Jeep for a spin, the hackers were capable of sabotaging it from miles away. In fact, the duo developed the software for this particular model for over a year and it does not require any hardware change to the SUV.

Interestingly enough, there are no devices attached to the SUV that will allow a remote control. However, the Cherokee had a weakness, through which both hackers could attack it over the internet. How this has happened, see for yourself and watch it in the video below. I promise it will be very funny.

But how did they receive those unique one-off Viper GTC models? The answer lies in the new Viper “1 of 1” customization program, through which owners can create their own one-of-a-kind Snake. How cool is that?

What is even cooler is that there are no two cars alike, because the program implies that no two customers can order the same configuration, including color, in the same model year.

Another interesting detail here is that with the introduction of matte-finish exterior paint, the new model year Viper is now offered in more than 50 million configurations. In fact, there are more than 16,000 unique paint color options and more than 48,000 unique stripe combinations.

Besides the one-off exterior qualities of the car, the Viper is also capable of some special powers. Due to the hand-built aluminum 8.4-liter V-10 engine, the snake produces 645 horsepower (474 kW) and 813 Nm (600 lb.-ft.) of torque. The last numbers help the Viper’s engine be the most torque of any naturally aspirated sports car engines in the world.

Mustang and Loder1899 Through the Years

Before speaking about the customization, I must tell you that Loder1899 and Ford Mustang have a long-time relationship. Everything starts back in 1964 with the launch of the famous muscle car.
