2018 Lamborghini SC18 AlstonLamborghini Squadra Corse reveals new SC18, the first one-off in brand’s history and motorsport division. This is a unique machine with tons of features that were designed altogether with a customer and Centro Stile Lamborghini team – a road-approved sportscar with a spirit of a pure track-ready beast! Let’s find out more!

As you might well expect, such a vehicle features extreme aerodynamics – developed especially for this model and derived from Squadra Corse’s experience in the competition, body curves and lines blend in racing elements from the front hood with air intakers in the style of Huracan GT3 EVO. Sides and rear feature sporty fenders, fins, and air scoops such as these seen in Huracan Super Trofeo EVO. Furthermore, the aerodynamic concept is completed by a large carbon-fiber wing with three mechanical adjustments. Also, there are twelve air intakers on the rear hood that contribute to heat exchange and improved performance of the V12 engine.

And as we are talking about the engine, we should mention that this is a top-of-the-line Lamborghini construction that delivers outstanding sports performance: this is an aspirated 6498cm3 V12 that generates a total of 770hp at 8,50rpm and 720Nm of torque at 6,750rpm. Such power is tamed via a seven-speed Independent Shifting Rod gearbox and light materials such as a carbon fiber body, specific exhaust at the rear, and terminals with unique sound and design.

Furthermore, the vehicle’s exclusivity is emphasized by the underline color of the carbon fiber body Grigio Daytona grey color and visible red-painted details. Sweet! • Vilner with another unsurpassed project based on the strong Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8

Vilner Jeep Grand Cherokee Front View

The Bulgarian-based tuning studio creates the ultimate interior for the mighty machine

After a strong teaser campaign in Facebook, the latest project of the ultimate interior tuning studio Vilner, is no longer a secret. As the tuner says, the car is a “very special one”, but not only because it is based on the strongest among all Jeep Grand Cherokees, but also because of something rather peculiar. There are three initials included in this project. However, these aren’t the SRT (Street & Racing Technology), but the SAS that stands for Special Air Service (a special branch of the British Army).

This variant of the Grand Cherokee is probably the best for the implementation of the idea that the designers had. It is driven by the 6417cc V8 unit, which produces 470 hp and 630 Nm of torque. So, it is kind of a military project, where the aforementioned initials have been embroidered in the headrests of the front seats.

SEE ALSO: Single malt Jaguar XJ by Vilner is infused with aristocratism and individuality

If you wonder what has been left of the original interior, well it is not much: elements like the lining of the seats stay where they were; the carbon fiber trim and some plastic surfaces on the dashboard are there, too.

Vilner Jeep Grand Cherokee Interior pic one

Everything else has been reworked. The SRT initials have been embroidered on the sun visors, the ceiling and blind glass hatch have been too modified. The materials are high quality black fabric with a fine weave and red Alcantara color, which by the way is also repeated in other places in the cabin. This color combination is directly related to the missions of SAS.

The columns also are “bathed” in red Alcantara as is a substantial part of the door trim. The central tunnel has been covered with a combination of black & red Alcantara as well. Furthermore, Vilner added gray contrast stitching where needed, while the belts were replaced with red bands and their plastic machines have been wrapped in Alcantara cases. The base parts of the seats have too been spoiled with the noble fabric.

To sum up, the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT by Vilner combines the brutal technique and power of the SRT, with the elegant and unique approach to the studio. By the way, the motto of SAS is worth of mentioning: „Who Dears Wins”. And this project is the ultimate example showing that this is possible.

CPA Performance studio is responsible for the power tuning

Jaguar F-Pace is a daring crossover, which has stance, charms and luxuries inside and out. It is kind of unimaginable that such perfectly built vehicle might be subjugated to any sort of tuning. However, specialists that are brave enough to take such a tough task, do this regularly. Originally the big cat is powered by a 2.0 litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that generates 180 hp (132 kW) and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) of torque. Being a quite heavy machine and weighing 1,700 kg, the Jaguar seemed to need a little bit more power.

SEE ALSO: Single malt Jaguar XJ by Vilner is infused with aristocratism and individuality

And this is how the tuners at CPA Performance were led to the idea to introduce to the SUV their in house made PowerBox and PedalBox upgrades, in order to deliver matching performance and response. So, there are three levels of PowerBox available: Pro, Ultra and Nitro.

CPA Performance Jaguar F-Pace 20d engine

The first one adds more power and torque by 20-percent, making it a total of 215 hp and 515 Nm. The intermediate PowerBox Ultra boosts the power to 223 hp and 533 Nm, and also incorporates the Engine Safe System. At last, the at top of the CPA Performance diesel performance kits for the F-Pace 20d is the PowerBox Nitro. It gives the SUV the capability of delivering 228 hp and 547 Nm torque. The kit comes with remote control activation.

What is more, CPA Performance has also developed PedalBox, multi-processor system, which delivers improved throttle response. Another highlight in this tuning here is the Connective System, which combines the Nitro and the PedalBox in a perfectly matched pairing. This also gives the option of tailoring the power and response to any road situation.

It is a stunning mixture of the old and new, which highlights the intense character of the most iconic of all Mustangs.

In terms of materials, the upholstery is a combination of black nubuck and leather, while carbon fiber has been extensively to add sportier looks. Intriguingly emossed cut pattern and additional thick thread stitching on the seats of the original Mustang look like the link between the modern and the original designs of the car. Handmade silver screw caps, merit of Carlex Design Jeweller’s Atelier, and the chrome elements of the clock and speedometer bezels perfectly break the dark theme of the cabin.

Below the waistline, we see that the entire floor was lined with smooth black leather and then fitted with custom made mats. An interesting design decision is to add carbon fiber on the entire hub of the three-spoke steering wheel of the Mustang. In combination with the silver looks it stands out really posh. The lightweight material can also be seen on the central console, door boards and the dashboard.

This interpretation of 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback is an example how a design that isn’t flashy or overdone could still be innovative.

  • Why Tesla Model S P100D is the fastest car ever produced? Yes, it is!

Tesla Model S P100D side view

Ludicrous Mode helps the car make it to the sacred 2.5 seconds time

I’m sure you won’t believe that a fully electric car could be the fastest one in the world. But it is! I mean 2.5 seconds time for the 0-60 mph sprint is something, right? Yes, the Model S P100D driven in its Ludicrous mode. You might say that there are cars like the LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 Spyder, but first – they weren’t mass produce vehicles, and secondly – their price is at least a million. To sum up, the bitter truth for many is that this Tesla is actually the first globally produced vehicle, which achieves the 2.5 seconds time.

To make you even more furious (if you are on the other side, because I’m on Tesla’s: in fact, if I had a Tesla, I’d be probably writing this article from its cabin), there is another major difference. In contrast to the first two hypercars that are two seaters, have very little luggage space (and space in general) and cannot be bought new, the Model S P100D AWD has four doors, can accommodate up to 5 adults and 2 children and is also perfect for a lot of cargo.

SEE ALSO: Watch the restyled Tesla Model S roll on the streets of Miami [w/video]*

Not to mention that the Tesla car is also “the longest range production electric vehicle by far” with 315 miles on the EPA cycle and 613 km on the EU cycle. This is due to the improved with 100 kWh battery that feeds the vehicle with power. Elon Musk, has also featured the same battery in the popular Model X SUV, making it world’s quickest SUV with acceleration time of 2.9 seconds and with 289 miles EPA and 542 km EU traveled on a single charge.

Model S and Model X also score the highest ratings at NHTSA. Both have access to the Tesla Supercharger network for the freedom to travel long distance for free. What is more, Tesla is promising to improve over time with free over the air upgrades.

Nevertheless, there’s one drawback about these vehicles: they seem to be quite expensive. Those customers who have ordered a P90D Ludicrous, but not taken delivery, can upgrade to the 100 kWh pack for $10,000. Sadly, those with the existing P90D Ludicrous can also upgrade, but for $20,000, as their used 90 kWh pack will have to be recycled. However, every sale in Tesla helps pay for the smaller Model 3 that will be much more affordable.

Model S P100D with Ludicrous mode specifications:

    • Range: 315 miles (EPA Estimate) / 613 km (NEDC Estimate)
    • 0-60 mph acceleration: 2.5 seconds
    • 0-100 km/h acceleration: 2.7 seconds
    • Price: starts at $134,500

Model X P100D with Ludicrous mode specifications:

    • Range: 289 miles (EPA Estimate) / 542 km (NEDC Estimate)
    • 0-60 mph acceleration: 2.9 seconds
    • 0-100 km/h acceleration: 3.1 seconds

  • Porsche 918 Spyder looks meaner with set of attractive new wheels

SR Auto Porsche 918 Spyder front view

SR Auto Group is responsible for the stylish change

The super-expensive Porsche 918 Spyder hypercar just had a design boost delivered by the specialists at SR Auto Group. What I like so much about them is the fact that they make everything effortlessly and eventually deliver great-looking cars. And even more, they do this with simple measures, like adding only perfectly chosen wheels or add-ons that not interfere in a bad way with car’s overall design.

So, basically the Porsche 918 Spyder model stands at the forefront of modern technology and innovation. It actually does more: shows that a hybrid hypercar can be a display for what future could be.

SEE ALSO: Porsche 918 Spyder Goes for a Special Ride

The vehicle itself is driven by a V8 petrol engine, which generates a total of 608 hp (447 kW) and two special electric motors, that gives additional 129 hp (95 kW) and 156 hp (115 kW) respectively. To do the math for you, this makes a total of 887 hp (652 kW). The acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) is measured at 2.5 seconds, while the top speed is 385 km/h (214 mph). Crushing force, isn’t it?

SR Auto Porsche 918 Spyder rear view

The change done by SR Auto is not big but gives a fresh take on the Porsche. It now rocks a good set of wheels: forged two-piece PUR RS23.M2 sized at 20-inches. • Attractive McLaren P1 GTR looks like the MP4/31 racer. Here’s the truth about it

2016 McLaren P1 GTR with F1 Livery front view

The company honors the track-only hyper car with this special edition

McLaren has just published two images on Facebook. They show a couple of vehicles sharing the same livery. If you are an F1 enthusiast, then you have immediately recognized that the P1 GTR has received a lick of F1’s paint.

Indeed, the Rocket Red and Predatory Grey never looked so good, didn’t they? So, why do we have this special edition car shown on McLaren’s social page? Obviously, the brand decided to honor the track-only hypercar with a special edition. Of course, the entire customization work was done by the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) division, and the specialists there fitted it with the unique orange-grey livery.

SEE ALSO: Geneva to See the Birth of Limited Production McLaren P1 GTR

Does it however duplicate F1 car’s livery? Yes, in my opinion it does that in the absolute maximum… with a little pinch. Therefore they have tastefully applied orange stripes and elements at the sides and the rear, making the P1 GTR looking even meaner. The front and rearview mirrors are also beautifully accentuated with the contrasting bright color.

Under the hood, there’s still the 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine in full operation. It is connected to an electric motor, both generating 1,000 hp (735 kW). As for the McLaren-Honda MP4/31, it will be at the Spa in Belgium this weekend.
