Lexus Announces Pricing for 2013 Lexus GS 450h, 2013 Lexus RX line-up and 2012 Lexus IS Sedans

Lexus has just announced the prices for number of its models: for the all-new 2013 GS 450h hybrid luxury sport sedan, the complete 2013 RX luxury utility vehicle line, and a price adjustment to the 2012 IS luxury sport sedan.

The first one – 2013 Lexus GS 450h, comes equipped with a second generation Lexus Hybrid Drive system, and delivers 338 horsepower (245 kW), while achieving 31 combined city/highway mpg.

The model will arrive at dealerships in a month with a starting price of $58 950.

In details the 2013 Lexus GS 450h will complete the GS lineup comprising of GS 350 and GS 350 F SPORT. As mentioned already it has a total system power output of 338 horsepower (245 kW), delivered from the powerful V8 engine. Although it is a V8, it can exceed most V6 engines in fuel economy with best-in-class EPA estimated ratings of 29 mpg city, 34 mpg highway, and 31 mpg combined. That makes the 2013 Lexus GS 450h a certified as a Super-Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle (SULEV).

Secondly, the new GS hybrid also features Lexus Drive Mode Select which comes additionally to the Normal, Eco, Sport S, Sport S+ modes available on the GS 350. What GS 450h does is that it adds an EV mode, which allows the driver to travel a short distance at low speed using only the hybrid battery pack.

Moreover, the vehicle has impressive available options which help improving the occupant safety. They include:

Furthermore, four new exterior colors are available for the RX range: Silver Lining Metallic, Claret Mica, Deep Sea Mica, and Fire Agate Pearl, Matador Red Mica and Cerulean Blue Metallic.

2013 Dodge Viper will take part in 2012 American Le Mans Series

It has been less than one week since Chrysler Group announced the release of the all new two models of 2013 Dodge Viper SRT and Viper SRT GTS.

Both models were developed by Street and Racing Technology (SRT®) and can offer nothing less than superb performance and excitement!

2012 Ford Focus 1.0-litre EcoBoost Titanium

2012 Ford Focus 1.0-litre EcoBoost Titanium is to deliver great fuel efficiency and emit low number of CO2 emissions thanks to its groundbreaking 100 PS 1.0-litre EcoBoos engine.

The new Ford Focus is equipped with the innovative 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine, which produces 100 hp (74 kW) and thus is able to deliver lower fuel costs than any other Ford before.

What it does in particular is that the Focus new 100PS 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine achieves 58.8mpg. However, despite that number, it is still able to deliver great performance, combined with power and even more torque (than previous models of Focus for instance).

Furthermore, what must be highlighted here is that Ford’s new EcoBoost petrol engine utilizes the latest technology. It includes enhanced and advanced turbocharging and direct injection. Mazda Demio and Mazda Premacy now upgraded

Mazda just launched the upgraded 2012 Mazda Demio compact car and 2012 Mazda Premracy minivan.

Mazda Demio has gained popularity thank to its outstanding fuel economy due to 13-SKYACTIV model grade system.

The upgrades here are regarding the 60:40 split rear seat, a three-point seat belt for the second-row center seat and a seat lifter for the driver’s seat are fitted to the 13-SKYACTIV model grade as standard equipment.

In addition the aluminum wheels are also available, however – as optional equipment. These upgrades will be featured as well in the special edition Mazda Demio 13C-V Smart Edition, which was released on March 1 this year.

2012 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG 45th ANNIVERSARY Edition

2012 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG “45th ANNIVERSARY” edition is a model wich will mark the 45th birthday of Mercedes-Benz’s high-performance AMG brand. This exceptional vehicle is a V12 roadster and was exclusively developed for this special anniversary. It is being produced in a limited edition of 45 examples only.

What is visible at first sight is that the designers have created a new paint finish: designo magno graphite. This is exclusive grey colour with satin look, which in my opinion further emphasize the V12 roadster’s powerful character. The matt finish brings out the contours of the aluminium body in particularly striking guise. An interesting contrast is added from the highlights in the form of high-gloss chrome applications.

The Exterior of the anniversary model is equipeed with Carbon-Fiber package in matt finish. Genuine carbon fiber with satin finish is applied to the cross strut in the front apron, the exterior mirrors and the spoiler lip. In addition the 6.0-litre V12 biturbo engine includes the same approach: the high-quality engine cover consists of matt carbon fibre and aluminium.

Next, the AMG sports exhaust system delivers unmistakable engine sound from the outer surround of the twin tailpipe, which comes in black with chrome plating. The inner insert is finished in high-gloss chrome.

The perfect look of the vehicle is completed thank to the AMG multi-spoke forged wheels painted in titanium grey with high-sheen rim flange and matt finish. The car sits on 255/35 R 19 tires at the front and 285/30 R 20 at the rear.

2013 Jaguar F-Type Sports Car

Jaguar has just made some new announcements, regarding their confirmation about the beginning of the production of new sports car – the Jaguar F-TYPE.

These exciting news were announced at the New York auto, where it was revealed that after the positive reaction of the Jaguar C-X16 Concept (presented in September 2011), the brand decided to accelerated the development of an all-new Jaguar sports car.

The car will carry the name F-TYPE, and it will be unveiled in production form later this year.

Of course, there isn’t a second thought that at the core of the car will be its sporting heart. Jaguar is promising even more: the F-Type to have “heart” stronger than ever before!

What has been revealed in addition is that Jaguar professionals will use their industry-leading knowledge of all-aluminium construction and apply it to this vehicle. Furthermore, the F-TYPE will be launched as a convertible, and a strict two-seater. The main focus however will be put uncompromisingly on delivering driver reward.

Moreover, it is now know that there will be also a range of petrol engines available. It will include a new powerplant family and all will deliver stunning sports car performance.

The F-TYPE’s development is now on final on-road testing, and this means that several prototypes have been already built and now being tested.

The 2013 Jaguar F-TYPE will join Jaguar’s existing range of cars – the XF saloon and Sportbrake, XJ saloon and XK coupe/convertible.

Full F-TYPE technical and range details will be announced later in 2012.

Mercedes-Benz upgrades C-Class, E-Class and SLK Models

Mercedes-Benz is going to make some upgrade on its C- and E-Class adding six new models and a additional range of modifications. Furthermore, the Mercedes-Benz SLK Roadster is now available with an extended range of optional safety equipment.

Mostly the focus is being put on the modifications to the multimedia systems. Now there is available a fully integrated COMAND Online system with internet access, plus the cost-effective navigation solution Becker® MAP PILOT. They are all included in the upgrades of the new E-Class. Additionally, the central display and the instrument cluster are now silver grey for both C- and E-Class.

In details, the COMAND Online icludes the new Mercedes-Benz emergency call system “eCall”. It will automatically alert the emergency services in the event of a serious accident.

Another upgrade is the new three apps, which will be available to COMAND Online customers. They will show news, share prices and help in finding a parking space.

C-Classs is turbocharged by a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol unit, which is the brands new entry-
level engine for all body variants of the C-Class. More importantly, its fuel consumption now is as low as 5.8 l/100 km and has a CO2 figure of just 136 g/km. Hence the C 180 BlueEFFICIENCY is one of the first petrol models to be ranked in energy efficiency class B. The engine delivers the 115 kW
(156 hp) with peak torque of 250 Nm (185 lb-ft) from just 1250 rpm all the way up to 4000 rpm.

Next, the C 200 BlueEFFICIENCY delivers 135 kW (184 hp) and 270 Nm (200 lb-ft) from just 1800 rpm. This engine might be the perfect because of its fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of just 6.6 l/100 km and 154 g/km, respectively.

And if one wants more dynamic feel, than they are all about the new C-Class Coupé Sport models: C 250 Sport and C 250 CDI Sport with 150 kW (204 hp). What is specific here is that the performance specialists from AMG were involved in their development right from the start. Both models include the visually enhanced AMG Plus Sports package. In addition, due to the AMG sports suspension the car comes with sportier spring and damper tuning, specially adjusted camber and bearings, a sports braking
system and more direct speed-sensitive sports steering, cornering and handling. At last there is also a double-declutching function at hand, thus making the veicle more agile and responsive.

The AMG Plus sports package now delivers even more style, thank to the AMG 7-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels, an AMG spoiler lip and sports seats in black ARTICO man-made leather/DINAMICA, red seat belts and red contrasting topstitching on the steering wheel, seats, door centre panels, door armrests, centre console and shift lever gaiter.

There are also new colours available: polar white, diamond silver, dolomite brown, tenorite grey, designo magno platinum.

Another innovation featured is the new ECO display included in the instrument cluster. This display supports drivers in their efforts to save fuel. In particular, the driving style is evaluated
according to the categories of “moderate acceleration”, “steady driving style” and “coasting”.

Another highlight is Mercedes-Benz’s improved connectivity. The COMAND Online display is now painted in silver grey in both day and night mode. The Audio 20 and COMAND Online systems make it easier for Mercedes drivers to undertake the initial pairing of their mobile telephone with the car via Bluetooth®.

The new Media Interface includes several advantages: improvements in data transmission and display speed, compatibility with MP3 players from both Apple and other manufacturers, digital audio playback from an iPod®/iPhone®.

And let us review what new goes around the E-Class. First to be mentioned is that is going to be more efficient and ser-friendly, as the brand promises. Undoubtedly the E 220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY Edition is quite one of the most economical cars in its segment. This is due to its aerodynamics package, electric power steering (EPS), a longer final-drive ratio and size 205/55 R 16 tyres with low rolling resistance. More importantly, this model emits just 119 g CO2/km! And there shouldn’t be any doubt of its performance, it is powered by an output of 125 kW (170 hp) mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

Secondly, the new E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID is breaking records with its almost unbelievable efficiency of just of 4.2 l diesel/100 km and 109 g CO2/km emissions. In addition, its modular hybrid concept with lithium-ion battery does not impose any compromises on space and offers an impressive driving experience due to its start/stop, recuperation, boost effect, all-electric driving and a ‘sailing’ or coasting mode.

This model is available in both Saloon and Estate versions. Its performance ie also as astonishing as the figures it shows: thank to its 4-cylinder diesel engine, it can generate 150 kW (204 hp) of power and 500 Nm (370 lb-ft) of torque. The diesel engine combines with an electric motor rated at 20 kW and 250 Nm to produce a harmonious overall concept.

The E-Class now has new standard with 17-inch light-alloy wheels. In addition, “nappa leather” can be seen on the seats, centre armrest, doors and gathered door centre panels. The exterior includes as well AMG bodystyling elements for the front and rear aprons as well as the side sill panels. In terms of paint finishes, polar white replaces calcite white, while diamond silver takes over from indigolite blue.

Furthermore, the E-Class comes with innovations in terms of technologies included: there are larger displays, new functions and internet access. The Bluetooth® functions have also been extended. What comes as a standard here is the following: Audio 20 CD system with twin tuner and CD player, as well as an Aux-in socket and a USB port.

The COMAND Online multimedia system is also featured, and it is that one which offers internet access. To go further, there is also the Becker® MAP PILOT, which is a low-cost navigation function, suitable for retrofitting, and is available for the entry-level Audio 20 CD radio. What it does is that it includes integrated operation via the central controls, voice output via the vehicle’s loudspeakers and display on the Audio 20 screen, a concealed location in the glove compartment and updating via an internet portal.

And what is being featured on one of the most popular Roadsters – the SLK? The answer is: added safety.

This model is the one which delivers unsurpassed driving exprence and fun and open-air enjoyment. The news around it is that is now being offered with significantly extended range of safety equipment: DISTRONIC PLUS, BAS PLUS and PRE-SAFE® Brake, the Blind Spot Assist and Lane Keeping Assist systems, for instance are now part of the new Driving Assistance package. The Intelligent Light System, which comes as an option, has now been enhanced and features Adaptive Highbeam Assist.

Mercedes-Benz SLK 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY is now comes with 6-speed manual transmission with sportily short shift travel as a standard.

The COMAND Online multimedia system is of course also featured here and offers several new and several improved functions: emergency call system Mercedes eCall, an optional travel guide, LINGUATRONIC voice control system, ECO display.

At last, the SLK will now come with new 17-inch light-alloy wheels in a sporty 10-spoke design.

2013 BMW X1 debuts in New York

2013 BMW X1 comes to offer outstanding sporting capability, unsurpassed efficiency, transformed body design and new style and widely refined interior. The premiere of the exceptional vehicle will be the New York International Auto Show 2012.

The 2013 BMW X1 is actually going to make its US market debut and is going to show a state-of-the-art powertrain technology, innovative equipment features, selective design modifications and extensive interior refinements.

The new BMW X model has new more expressive body design, which provides even more intense expression of the model’s muscular presence. It also emphasizes its contemporary allure and versatile sporting capability.

The interior of the 2013 X1 features newly designed surfaces, more polished controls and high-quality details.

In addition the BMW X model comes with high level of agility and compact exterior dimensions.

What is more it will be equipped with powerful engines with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology and a broad spread of BMW EfficientDynamics technology. Both now are standard.

As one can see it has the typical BMW stance, due to its proportions, expressive, vibrant surfaces and signature. What is highlighted in the exterior design are the sweeping bonnet, long wheelbase and set-back passenger compartment. As their “consequence” the car looks more dynamic and agility inherent. The versatility and steady stance of a BMW X model can be seen through the elements as the black edging at the lower edge of the body and wide wheel arches.

And if one looks at the vehicle from the front, immediately sees that the X1’s powerful stance is further emphasized.

Furthermore, BMW is going to offer a larger number of surfaces painted in body colour. For example, the path of the car’s lines, which converge on the license plate mount from either side of the BMW kidney and forge outwards in the lower section of the bumper, is borrowed from BMW X models in higher vehicle segments.

2013 X1 comes with newly designed headlight and a chrome-coated accent strip, which cuts across the top of the twin circular headlights. Additionally, an LED accent light is completed with LED light rings for the daytime driving lights.

Moreover, the swage line which is rising to the rear of the car, another character line extending the contours of the side window surrounds as it heads towards the rear, and powerfully bulging wheel arches give the BMW X1 a very distinctive appeal. These side skirts are a specific signature feature of BMW X models, while the side direction indicators are now integrated into the newly designed exterior mirrors.

Nothing else but a premium feel can be offered by a BMW. In the new X1 this is underlined at the rear by the new subdivision of apron, bumper and underguard, with the repositioned reflectors. In addition it is now bordered by surfaces painted in body colour. This means that now the black plastic elements are slimmer, while the silver-coloured underguard has a more striking surface structure.

On the other hand the interior is all about precise lines, high-quality materials, and sophisticated colour scheme. They are all here to offer the well-known premium feel of a BMW vehicle.
In details, the side of the centre console is angled towards the driver. It is now shallower, spotlighting the driver-focused nature of the cockpit design.

Additionally, high-quality electroplated surrounds are being used for the gearshift and centre console cupholder, while a chrome strip came in utilization for the headlight switch. Chrome touches can be seen on the side edging of the Control Display. Next, the air vent surrounds are made in high-gloss black surface.

What BMW is promising to its customers with this particular model is more sporting feel and fuel efficiency than ever.
The vehicle is going to be offered with BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engines. This package of technology consists of twin-scroll turbocharging, High Precision Direct Petrol Injection, VALVETRONIC variable valve timing and Double-Vanos variable camshaft control. 2014 Chevrolet Impala – Specifications Announced

Chevrolet has just introduced their new model 2014 Chevrolet Impala, which offers new look at the iconic sedan and delivers expressive style, fine interior, innovative technologies and exciting driving experience.

The new model will go on sale in early 2013. And although it is designed on already familiar, but yet award-winning global platform, 2014 Impala is to introduce new levels of comfort, refinement and technology.

As one can effortlessly see, there is an all-new exterior design, which represents the new direction of Chevrolet’s design philosophy. The car features sleek proportion, sculpted body sides, standard 18-inch wheels and projector-beam headlamps, with HID headlamps and LED daytime running lamps standard on LTZ models.

Furthermore, there is a range of three direct-injected engines offered: the well known 3.6L V-6 engine, the new 2.5L four-cylinder one and a 2.4L four-cylinder with eAssist. The latter delivers enhanced performance and efficiency.

Full-speed-range adaptive cruise control, which uses radar technology and senses traffic in front of the Impala to adjust the vehicle speed, including stopping the vehicle in heavy traffic and accelerating again;
Collision mitigation braking, which is again a radar technology detecting a possible crash threat and alerts the driver. If the driver does not appear to react quickly enough or doesn’t react at all, this feature intervenes and applies the brakes in an effort to avoid the crash;
Forward collision alert is a camera technology, which detects a possible crash threat and alerts the driver, giving him or her time to stop and/or change course;
Lane departure warning is again camera-based lane detection system that warns the driver of impending lane changes.
Side blind zone alert is using radar sensors on both sides of the vehicle, and “looks” for other vehicles in the blind zone areas of the Impala and indicates their presence with LED-lit symbols in the outside mirrors.
Rear cross traffic alert, which is based on the radar sensors of side blind zone alert, and warns the driver of vehicles in traffic when backing out of a parking spot – including angled parking.

What has to be additionally mentioned is that the Impala is being offered with three powertrains, which all feature fuel-saving direct injection and lightweight components.

For instance, the Impala’s Ecotec 2.4L engine works with the eAssist system and delivers electrical assist in certain conditions to help save fuel. It is estimated at 182 horsepower (134 kW) and is expected to achieve 35 mpg on the highway.

Secondly, the Ecotec 2.5L is part of a new family of four-cylinder engines and is developed with increased efficiency and greater refinement. It is estimated at195 horsepower (145 kW).

Thirdly, the Output for the 3.6L V-6 is estimated at 303 horsepower (226 kW).

All of Impala’s engines are mated to six-speed automatic transmissions.
