2013 Volkswagen Beetle and Beetle Cabriolet Exclusive Added to the Range

The latest addition in the range of the famous Volkswagen Beetle model is the Exclusive one, which is characterized by elegance, stylish design, and is optionally available as Exclusive Design or Exclusive Sport.

This means that Volkswagen is offering two new models, which have design that focuses on uniqueness, and are based on the equipment lines Design and Sport. However, the exterior here includes four black 18-inch alloy wheels of the model model “Twister” with polished surface and wheel lock with extended anti-theft protection, as well as tire pressure monitoring display.

The afore mentioned model is a standard. The optional extra is the 19-inch alloy wheels of the “Tornado” model. Unique features regard the interior: three different colored leather seating systems are available. Namely they are in Pepper Beige, Amber Brown and Black, and each comes with an exquisite diamond stitching.

As a standard equipment in the Exclusive line is included the following: dash panel in “Black Uni”, door sills in stainless steel, with lettering “Volkswagen Exclusive”, three-spoke leather steering wheel, gearshift knob, handbrake lever and centre armrest in leather, with same stitching colour as centre seat, sports seats front, centre seat panels and seat lateral supports in “Nappa” Cool Leather, front and rear textile floor mats with coloured edging, door and side trim in leather look.

Mazda MX-5 Facelift Offers Better Look and Advanced Agility

The new Mazda MX-5 has just been revealed and it is destined to offer to its drivers extra-satisfying handling and linear responsiveness. The facelifted roadster has more aggressive road stance and is equipped with new and innovative safety technology.

The latest version of the best selling Mazda roadster is in addition more responsive in terms of acceleration and braking. The first one has been done via fine-tuning of the acceleration management program on manual shift models.

On the other hand, by optimizing the vacuum brake booster, the specialists also enhanced brake return control. The upshot here is better handling thanks to superior front-rear load distribution. Those two factors in general result in more faithful reaction.

Another highlight here concerns the technologies, which prevent pedestrian injuries. Here, the new active bonnet system automatically raises the hood during an impact with a pedestrian, enlarging the crumple zone to prevent or minimize the severity of injuries.

In addition, the lower section of the front bumper was also been reinforced in order to protect people’s legs better. Adding these features however, resulted in the changes needed to be made. They concerned the front-end design of the MX-5.

The legendary two-seater has now a deeper grille and new bumper design and expresses a lower, wider stance. At the same time the new fog lamp bezels and chin spoiler enhance the aerodynamics of the car.

MX-5 will be available as a retractable hardtop coupe or soft-top convertible. It will be offered in a choice of eight body colours. Inside, the glossy dark grey steering wheel spokes and panel décor provide a luxury feel and comfortability.

Last but not least, the Roadster is powere either by a 126 hp (93 kW) MZR 1.8-litre mated to a five-speed manual transmission or the 160 hp (118 kW) MZR 2.0-litre with, matched to either automatic or manual six-speed transmissions.

Morgan Plus 4 Super Sports Baby Doll VI comes to pay tribute to the Morgan Plus 4 Super Sports model, which was introduced for the first time in the distant 1961. Back then it was one of the few cars which offered the best price-for-performance value.

Its lightweight aluminum body delivered crisp handling in a design reminiscent of the great, fully fendered sports cars of the 1930s. During the years between 1961 and 1968 only 104 examples of the aluminium-bodied Super Sports were produced with Triumph TR4A-engines.

In those times appeared the original Baby Doll V, which was ordered in the spring of 1962 by Lew Spencer, a well-known Southern California Sports Car Club of America member and local Morgan dealer. His dream was to have the ultimate racecar with sleek and low-body.

Now Morgan is introducing the next step in the evolution of this emblematic model, which is the Morgan Plus 4 Super Sports Baby Doll VI. It is offered in two colour options: Kingfisher Blue white stripes and Westminster Green yellow stripes.

Under the hood can be found the 260 hp (191 kW) Omex engine mated to a Mazda gearbox. Other highlights included here are the oil cooler, sports exhaust system (repackable silencer, 200 cell cat), gaz adjustable dampers, 4.1 LSD ratio axle, Frt & Rear disc brakes (including anti tramp bars), brake re-action bars, Panhard rod, Fire Extinguisher (electric), Foot rest (over extinguisher), Inertia bypass (on bulkhead), Roll bar, Battery Cut off switch, rain light, Ali floor pans, Harnesses (4 POINT) and more.

Honda Unveils Micro Commuter Prototype EV

What I like very much about Honda is that the brand is constantly putting efforts in developing environmentally friendly technologies. The latest such innovation revealed is the Honda Micro Commuter Prototype, which is a micro-sized short distance EV commuter vehicle.

This prototype was engineered in consideration of the vehicle categories for micro-sized mobility products. In fact, this model will serve as a demonstration unit, which is aimed to verify the potential of the vehicle in different utilizations. Some of them might include for support of everyday short-distance transportation for families with small children and for senior citizens, home delivery services, commuting and car sharing.

In addition, the prototype was introduced initially as a concept model back in 2011 at the Tokyo Motor Show, where it had a cabin space to seat one driver and two children in the micro-sized body.

Here the Variable Design Platform is very convenient because it positions components such as the battery, motor and control unit under the floor and in the rear space to concentrate the vehicle driving functions into a compact space.

Other interesting features on this model include the tablet device for the application of functions such as meter display, navigation, audio and back-up camera display, and the ability to charge the battery of the tablet using solar cells mounted on the vehicle roof.

Of course, an interesting aspect here is when this model hopefully goes to mass production, which will be the auto part supplier for ordinary customers and how much it will cost to maintain the EV. But if we are looking positively towards the future we will hope to see the prices of those new technologies getting more affordable.

The optimized energy management results in CO2 reduction, which can be applied to the everyday life. Therefore this vehicle can provide for customers when it is used not only as an EV but also as a household battery.

Rolls-Royce One Thousand and One Nights Bespoke Ghost

Rolls-Royce One Thousand and One Nights Bespoke Ghost Collection model is inspired by the famous tales of “The Arabian Nights Entertainment” and it targets the customers in the Midle East. This special edition is designed as part of the Bespoke collection of Ghost family cars.

The series were created in Goodwood, England, where the home of the brand lies. The two-tone paint vehicle draws on a warm colour palette that serves as the perfect backdrop for hand-painted coachlines.

Of course, Rolls-Royce is all about luxury and it isn’t a surprise when one finds intricately applied detail touches, expressing the Arabic words “One Thousand and One Night”. These eventually culminate in an elaborate design that elegantly frames the car’s door handles.

Furthermore, the limited edition vehicle will have an intriguing launch – it will happen in three chapters. The first one will be unveiled at the Sharjah International Automobile Show on 28 November. The next two chapters will follow in the first and third quarter of next year.

McLaren P1 Hypercar Concept [RENDER]

What else can be expected from the new McLaren P1 Hypercar Concept than the best possible aerodynamic performance? In fact, the new concept was designed in the windtunnel and thus it is no surprise that it has this very organic, alien-like body, which pulls a mindblowing downforce of 600kg.

McLaren showed the P1 back in September at the Paris Auto Show and stunned the audience with its inspiring and breath-taking appearance. Although the exacts details around the engine and performance aren’t announced yet, it is rumored that the P1 will be powered by the same 3.8 liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine from MP4-12C, but with a Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS).

This means that the combined power will be absolutely outstanding: 963 hp (718 kW) and will allow the McLaren P1 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. Here the top speed is of 384 km/h (239 mph).

All of the above mentioned details will undoubtedly make the new P1 part of a new generation of iconic automotive superhero’s. The production version of the concept model will be made available within a year and the next release with figures and information will be at the anticipated Geneva Motor Show in March 2013.

2013 Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition Pays Tribute to U.S. Military members

2013 Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition will join Wrangler Freedom Edition and both will pay tribute to United States military members of past and present. The vehicle is offered in three colors – Deep Cherry Red crystal pearl coat, Bright White clear coat or True Blue pearl coat.

Of course this limited edition Jeep includes the segment-leading 4×4 system and has an impressive fuel economy up to 30 miles per gallon. Worth mentioning is also the unique inspiring appearance of the Patriot Freedom Edition.

The model has as a basis the 2013 Patriot Latitude and is available in two- or four-wheel drive configurations. The exterior of the car is military-inspired and features a star on the hood, as well as on the rear quarter panel.

The visual stance of the vehicle is additionally complemented by exclusive 17-inch high-gloss Mineral Gray painted aluminum wheels with bright lug nuts, a bright lower front fascia and an “Oscar Mike” badge on the lower front door.

2013 Honda Civic Debuts at Los Angeles Auto Show

One of the hottest news recently is the new look of the much appraised Civic. Honda has just revealed the 2013 model which will make its debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.

The new Honda Sedan includes refined styling, host of safety features, comfort, chassis and interior styling enhancements. To be more precise the front end here features a new open-mouth lower bumper with a horizontal chrome accent and a sportier, black honeycomb mesh grille, anchored by new integrated fog lights on upper trims.

Furthermore, the more premium look of the Sedan is achieved via the grille which is flanked by new clear-lens corner lights. The front end therefore is more sculptured and as a natural continuation it flows into a more deeply faceted hood, complemented by a collection of sharp new wheel designs.

How about the rear end? There can be found a new rear bumper design and new rear trunk lid, which are capped by a clean, horizontal chrome trim piece. A highlight here is that the taillights include all-new design resembling a jewel. In addition they provide more finished and upscale look.

Next, the rear bumper includes integrated reflector treatments and a new lower diffuser panel finished with a honeycomb mesh vent. All of the mentioned exterior refinements contribute to a more youthful, premium Civic.

What is also important to mention is that Civic’s emblematic fun-to-drive nature and safety features, spaciousness and fuel efficiency remain intact.

Seat Mii Miinx Adds More Colour to the Urban Life

Seat Mii Miinx in bright pink color is definitely a car that draws the attention. It seems like the designers have created something opposite to the Mii Vibora Negra, which was unveiled by the brand in July.

To create “something different” was the goal of the engineers. The working process began with choosing the Mii Sport in Deep Black metallic for a basis. Then the body of this Seat was covered in a pink gloss vinyl wrap, while the lights were tinted with a translucent film, resulting in a more pronounced, contrasting look.

But the wrap isn’t the whole car. Miinx is a standard three-door Mii Sport, which draws its power from a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder engine with 75 hp (55 kW). The vehicle is equipped with wide range of standard equipment, which features 15-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, leather steering wheel and gear knob, dark tinted rear windows, front fog lights, and sports suspension.

No doubt that it will catch the attention of the soft sex. Seat Mii Miinx is priced at £11 500 and is already available in dealerships.

A video worth watching is this of the super-hot 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series, which has just been revealed. The super sports car gull-wing model has an outstanding design and delivers the ultimate driving experience.

In this video on can see how actually this new Mercedes-Benz reaches its 315 km/h top speed, all happening in desert scenery. The powerful SLS AMG Black Series as mentioned already today is an exquisite model, which produces 631 horsepower (464 kW) and has a maximum torque of 635 Nm (470 lb-ft).

Then it is not a surprise for anyone to hear that its acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is estimated of only 3.6 second (however this number isn’t enough to beat the new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster which needs only 3 seconds for the same sprint).

Another highlight in the model is the outstanding driving dynamics and the uncompromised lightweight construction. The SLS weighs only 1550 kilograms which contributes to great aerodynamics.

Tata Nano Special Edition Adds More Style

Tata Nano Special Edition has just came out of the dark with its new stylish exteriors, utilities and infotainment. The car focuses on the young generation and brings about more sportiness and individuality.

New Alloy Wheels and sportier brand new decals immediately capture one’s attention regarding the exterior. For the first time in a hatchback class, in the interior are featured two glove boxes, one on the passenger side and the other on the driver’s side, giving more space for all utilities. New technologies are also features: MP3, USB, Aux-in and front two door speakers.

More importantly, the car is equipped with 624cc engine which generates 38 horsepower (28 kW) and 51 Nm of torque (38 lb-ft). This is absolutely enough for a city dweller, who in addition is environmentally minded. The fuel efficiency here is 25.4 kmpl and the CO2 emissions are estimated at 92.7 gm/km.

In addition, the new Tata model is enhanced with a revised suspension set-up, including an anti-roll bar at the front. The cabin is quieter, but a racier sounding exhaust note gives the Tata Nano a more agressive road presence.

The interior can be in either beige color (Nano LX), rich black (Nano CX) and stunning medium graphite (Standard version). The exterior colors available are then.
