2014 Toyota Prius – US Price $29,990

Toyota US has announced the pricing of the new 2014 Prius Facelift, which is available for less than $30,000. The base model Plug-in Hybrid starts from just $29,990, while the top-of-range Plug-in Hybrid Advanced costs $39,525.

The 2014 Prius Plug-in Hybrid is well-equipped (similar to a Prius Three), but adds these appealing features:

Heated cloth front seats – a unique standard feature available only on Prius Plug-in

2014 Toyota Land Cruiser – Price £34,995

Toyota has introduced the all-new 2014 Land Cruiser expected to hit the market on 1^st December. The model benefits from a refreshed exterior design, improvements to the interior, new entertainment features and advanced off-road technologies. The entry-level model is priced from £34,995, while the top-of-range Invincible 3.0D A/T 7-seat costs £52,495.

There are three trim levels: Active, Icon and Invincible. The SUV benefits from significant enhanced specification on Icon and Invincible grades, while retaining the pricing levels of the corresponding outgoing grades.

There are also different packages, which can be ordered to improve safety, off-road capabilities or interior.

Safety Pack

In addition to the comprehensive range of safety features available as standard on 2014 Land Cruiser, customers can specify an additional safety pack. This includes adaptive cruise control with pre-crash system, designed to minimise the chances of injury in the event of a collision. This pack is priced at £1,360.

Off-road Pack

The Icon grade can be specified with all the off-road driver assistance technology available as standard on Invincible grade. This pack is priced from £1,650.

Two-tone leather

Icon and Invincible grades can be specified with two-tone leather upholstery as a ‘no-cost’ option.

Toyota 86 GT To Be Equipped With Torsen Limited-Slip Differential

Toyota announced that it is currently making running changes to three of its four Toyota 86 sports-car variants. In addition, it was also disclosed that the brand is going to retain the $29 990 for the vehicles.

One of the most prominent updates is the inclusion of a Torsen limited-slip differential (LSD) as a standard to the automatic GT grade. This addition brings the vehicle into line with the rest of the range.

Furthermore, the top GTS manual and automatic variants of the car will be equipped with a rear spoiler as standard. These new enhancements to the range were decided based on customers’ feedback, who desired the automatic GT to have the same dynamic properties as the rest of the range, and for the GTS to have greater external differentiation.

To go further into details, the Toyota 86 has a 2.0-litre four-cylinder, front-mounted, free-revving and horizontally opposed “boxer” petrol engine which drives the rear wheels. It develops a maximum power of 200 hp (147 kW) and generates a peak torque of 205 Nm (151 lb-ft). All that power is put onto the road via six-speed manual or sequential-shift automatic transmissions.

The powertrain is combined with a compact design, light weight and a low centre of gravity, thus providing agile and accessible performance, and highly engaging dynamic abilities with minimal electronic intrusion.

The standard equipment here features seven airbags, five-mode stability control system, traction control, anti-skid brakes, 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, air-conditioning, CD sound system, daytime running lamps (DRLs) and a multi-information display.

Next, the Toyota 86 GTS adds 17-inch alloy wheels, a 6.1-inch display screen, satellite navigation, auto-leveling HID headlamps, leather-accented front seats, dual-zone climate-control air-conditioning, aluminium pedals, LED DRLs and red stitching highlights.

2014 Toyota 4Runner – US Price $32,820

Toyota has published the full price list for 2014 4Runner and Tacoma models. The 2014 4Runner is priced from $32,820 and goes up to $43,400, while the 2014 Tacoma has a starting price of $17,625 and goes up to $28,185.

The base SR5 model of 2014 4Runner packs 17” alloy wheels, Entune infotainment system and fabric seats, but for an extra $1,875 it can have auto-dimming mirrors, sunroof, navigation, SofTex faux leather seats and power passenger seat. AWD system can be ordered for additional $2,920.

4Runner Trail has received a $1,430 price cut for the new model. It features a multi-terrain response system, hill-start assist and the company’s crawl control system.

The Limited trim comes with four-wheel drive with a center locking differential, 15-speaker Entune Premium JBL sound system and a more refined X-REAS suspension.

The engine is a 4.0 liter V6 with 270HP (201 kW) and 376Nm (278 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a 5-speed ECT-i automatic transmission and a transfer case.

2013 Toyota Yaris Hybrid-R Concept Gets Fully Unveiled

2013 Toyota Yaris Hybrid-R Concept is finally revealed after being teased several times. The brand’s best selling Yaris has been turned into a dynamic track or road car thanks to applied high-performance engineering and advanced hybrid technology, which was inspired by TS030 hybrid Le Mans race car.

The new model will make its world premiere next week at the Frankfurt Motor Show, where it will show a future development of hybrid technology which aims to achieve maximum performance and enhanced driving pleasure.

This Toyota’s hybrid powertrain combines a highly tuned 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo engine and two powerful electric motors. Together they are capable of delivering a total output of 313kW (420hp). In addition, the direct-injection turbo has been adapted to racing conditions, provides 224kW (300hp) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque to drive the front wheels.

At the rear, each wheel of the vehicle is powered by a 45kW (60hp) electric motor. This results in an intelligent electric four-wheel drive capability. The motors produce electricity during braking and then aid the petrol engine during acceleration.

Toyota Yaris Hybrid-R has several modes which are controlled via a button on the steering wheel. First, the “Road” mode is suitable for everyday driving, while the “Track” mode is better for competition. The latter model makes full use of available performance, with the rear electric motors able to reach a combined maximum power peak of 90 kW (120 hp) for up to five seconds.

There is also a third 45kW electric motor, which is positioned between the engine and the six-gear sequential transmission. It can work as an advanced traction-control system. In addition, the twin rear electric motors can improve the handling characteristics during cornering.

The hybrid system operates in conjunction with the 1.6-litre turbo engine. Depending on the state of charge of the battery, the new Concept can be driven in full electric mode for short distances.

2013 Toyota Yaris Hybrid-R has new design cues. For instance it adopts the new headlights, a wider front grille and black and blue details, which make the perfect contrast with the white body colour.

Furthermore, the front bumper now includes two large air intakes and blue LED daytime running lights. In addition, the flared fenders house 18-inch TRD wheels fitted with 225/40 R18 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tyres. There are also visible grooved and perforated brake discs which are gripped by six-piston callipers in the front and four-piston callipers in the rear.

Going to the rear, the car has a spoiler which is mounted on the roof and the bumper with a big diffuser that includes an exhaust pipe framed by two air extractors. The exterior color scheme is continued in the interior. The dual-tone Recaro bucket seats feature black leather side bolsters and blue Alcantara®. The shift lever of the sequential gearbox is set up to quickly change down gears by pushing the lever forwards, and to change up by pulling it back. The car is fitted a set of sport pedals from the 86 sports coupe.

Toyota Unveils Facelifted 2014 LandCruiser Prado [VIDEO]

2014 Toyota LandCruiser Prado now comes in a facelifted version and will include a range of new technologies, design elements and bring about more comfort to the customers. The 2014 Prado range will feature enhanced safety features, better third-row seat access and higher interior and exterior specifications.

One of the exterior improvements of this Toyota model includes daytime running lamps on all models. In addition, major safety upgrades were added such as trailer sway control and emergency brake signal. The trailer sway control for instance gives LandCruiser Prado owners an additional confidence and control when towing.

Other new exterior highlights of the new vehicle are visible on its face. There were added several structural elements from its unique design heritage, a further evolution of the classic Prado grille and a vertical, two-step construction which emphasizes car’s rugged appearance.

Toyota Will Premiere Fuel Cell Hybrid Vehicle In Frankfurt

Toyota FCV-R Concept - Front Angle At the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show Toyota will premiere its new Fuel Cell Hybrid Vehicle Concept with the aim to offer one of the best solutions to the challenges of energy sources and emissions. In these terms the hydrogen is the ideal and ultra-clean fuel.

Another goal that the brand has achieved with this model is to offer a driving range and performance comparable to conventional petrol and diesel engines. The advantage here however is that there is no harmful tailpipe emissions.

In the vehicle has been utilized Hybrid Synergy Drive technology which is also used in the famous Prius and other full hybrid production models. At first the Toyota FCV-R Concept was unveiled at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show. Now the brand continues to make progress towards its planned introduction of an affordable FCHV saloon model by 2015.

The FCV-R concept is 4,745mm long, 1,510mm high and 1,790mm wide. It achieves a maximum driving range of about 420 miles and doesn’t produce any emissions. The only by-product of the hydrogen fuel cell is water vapour. The twin fuel tanks and the fuel cell stack are positioned beneath the floor. This of course results in no impact on the cabin and load space.

Toyota FCV-R Concept

Toyota aims that its FCHVs will be in a mass-market production during the 2020s. In addition, this commercialization will be supported by the wider roll-out of fuel cell vehicle technology as well as the development of hydrogen refueling infrastructure.

The fuel cell which is going to be utilized in Toyota’s production FCHV achieves the world’s highest power output density at 3kW per litre. In addition, it also delivers improved range of the vehicle from about 205 miles to more than 350 miles. What is more, the fuel cell has a greater operating range, with the help of materials in its construction making cold start possible at temperatures around -30°C.

Toyota Launches Camry Atara R Special Edition

The Japanese brand Toyota has just launched a special-edition model called Toyota Camry Atara R. The new vehicle is based on Camry Altise and it will offer enhanced safety, performance, comfort and appearance.

Many of the included features make the car more attractive and such for example are the front sports bumper and grille, sports side skirts and a dual exhaust diffuser, which boosts car’s power by 2kW. In addition to this the Atara R also includes 17-inch alloy wheels, front fog-lamps and a special-edition badge.

Furthermore, the interior of this special-edition vehicle features premium three-spoke steering wheel with added audio controls, 6.1-inch screen display audio and reversing camera with fixed guidelines.

Toyota Camry Atara R special edition will be available in a choice of the following exterior colours: Diamond White, Silver Pearl, Graphite, Eclipse Black, Wildfire, Magnetic Bronze and Reflex Blue.

The safety of the car is also enhanced thanks to the seven airbags (including driver’s knee airbag), vehicle stability control and traction control. Other technologies included are the trip computer and eco indicator, six-speaker audio including auxiliary and USB input with iPod® connectivity.

Only 2500 examples of the Toyota Camry Atara R will be produced. The model’s starting price will begin at US $31 820.

2014 Toyota Sai – Price

Toyota has announced the 2013 Sai facelift for Japan. The affordable vehicle comes with minor styling upgrades for the exterior and some improvement for the interior.

Outside, the new Sai is way more aggressive than its predecessor. It features a new front bumper, a revised front grille and LED headlights. There are also there’s a new rear bumper and a revised trunk with full-length taillights. A set of 16” alloy wheels is added as well as some nice colors – Red Mica Metallic, Clear Stream Metallic and Grey Mica Metallic.

Inside, the manufacturer has used better materials combined with a modern design. There is a new center console, different switchgear, wood trim and metal accents. As an option – a new 10-speaker SD Navigation system with a microSD card slot, Blu-ray compatibility and two USB inputs is available.

The engine range includes a 2.4 liter petrol with 150HP (110 kW) and 187Nm (138 lb-ft) of torque combined with an electric motor. The overall power is 190HP (140 kW) and the fuel economy stands at 4.4 liter / 100 km (52.6 mpg US).

2013 Toyota Sai is available in the showrooms with pricing starting from ¥3,210,000 (around $32,600).

Pricing Announced For 2014 Toyota Corolla

2014 Toyota Corolla was exclusively revealed in the beginning of June showing its dramatically elevated design and great efficiency. Now, Toyota is revealing the pricing of its emblematic model which will be available at an attainable price.

The new Corolla will be available in four trim levels: L, LE, S, and LE Eco. The L grade will be equipped with a new 6-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic one. This trim level will include a wide range of standard features: LED lowbeam headlamps with LED daytime running lights, Standard Bluetooth connectivity, driver and front passenger Whiplash-Injury-Lessening (WIL) seats, and eight airbags.

Next, the Corolla LE offers a list of convenient standard features on the top of the L grade: Backup monitor, Climate control, Cruise control, Keyless entry, Entune Audio which includes 6.1” touchscreen and enhanced fuel economy delivered by the new CVTi-S transmission.

Toyota Yaris Hybrid-R Concept Finally Revealed

The first image of the new Toyota Yaris Hybrid-R Concept has been revealed. The vehicle will make its debut at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, where the Japanese brand will display the possible future hybrid development ideas it has in mind. They aim to deliver greater performance and driver rewards.

With this model, Toyota has the goal of bringing together its past achievements and future plans for hybrid technology. The concept is based on the three-door Yaris and is equipped with 1.6-litre GRE (Global Race Engine), combined with two electric motors, which in addition give the car intelligent all-wheel drive capability.

Furthermore, as earlier announced, the Hybrid-R will utilize the technology featured in Toyota’s TS030 Hybrid race car. Thanks to it, the energy which is recovered under braking is stored in a super capacitor. The effect is optimum driving pleasure.

The brand will also showcase at the event its Fuel Cell Hybrid Vehicle (FCHV) technology ahead of its launch in 2015. The goal is to achieve maximum energy and minimum emissions due to the use of hydrogen as an ultra-clean energy source.

In addition, at the show, Toyota will celebrate 16 years of hybrid technology. Back in 1997 the brand introduced to the automotive market the first Prius. Since then, there has been more than 5.5 million hybrids sold. What is more, by the end of 2015 Toyota will also introduce 16 new or revised hybrid models.

The Hybrid-R is going to be based on a current Toyota production model. What is more, the concept will be equipped with a powertrain that includes similar technology to the one utilized in TS030 Hybrid race car. The latter took part in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

This means that the vehicle will combine a high-power internal combustion engine with electric motors. The result is expected to be stunning: an achievement of a maximum power output of more than 400 hp (298 kW).

In addition, a dual mode control will offer the option the car’s performance to be tailored to suit either road or racetrack. Toyota Hybrid-R Concept will be revealed at the event on 10th of September.
