Alcraft Motor Company Range Rover Study

The designers and engineers at Alcraft Motor Company have launched a design study of the iconic British vehicle Range Rover. They have worked together with the students from London’s Royal College of Art with the aim to create the ultimate vehicle.

The final outcome originates from Alcraft’s RCA project. The car has been developed further by Alcraft design consultant Matthew Humphries, who was chief designer at Morgan Cars. In addition to Matthew Humphries, Alcraft also works with Christopher Macgowan OBE.

The Range Rover study is just one of other projects which the company sets to explore. The following transformation can be done on the Range Rover flagship and the Sport and Evoque models, Land Rover Discovery and Jaguar XF Sportbrake.

In the case of the Alcraft Range Rover the company has simplified its lines and detailing, yet given it a more limousine-like presence. The new design has definitely accentuated the vehicle’s off-road capability and heritage, however evoking more luxurious stance.

The same approach has been implied throughout the interior of the car where a lot of additional textures have been used. Precisely, Alcraft interiors are improved by the utilization of traditional materials like wood and leather, or contemporary finishes like carbon and chrome. Kahn Range Rover Evoque Black Label Edition Redefines Luxury

Kahn Range Rover Evoque Black Label Edition offers performance-oriented design, individual Santorini Black Metallic paintwork and exceptional interior trim. The vehicle of course is another masterpiece created by the exceptional design specialists at A. Kahn Design.

This Range Rover model is following tuning company’s lightweight design philosophy and hence includes front grille with 3D mesh, front bumper centre section graphic in matt black, front bumper mesh in matt black and silver, LED daytime running lights for front bumper, side sill trim in gloss black, side vent inserts in copper, door entry sill plates in stainless steel, painted floating roof and brake calipers finished in Vesuvius orange. 2014 Range Rover Evoque With New Nine-Speed Automatic Transmission

2014 Range Rover Evoque is now even more attractive because it will be equipped with a host of new technologies, including a new 9-speed automatic transmission, new driveline technologies, seven new driver assistance features and more details in the design of the interior and exterior.

The ZF-9HP automatic transmission debuted this year at the Geneva Motor Show and it is among the world’s first 9-speed units fitted to a passenger car. It not only has an ultra-fast response time, but is also equipped with adaptive shift programme which quickly matches the driving style. Moreover, the new transmission delivers enhanced fuel economy, reduced emissions, improved performance and much greater comfort.

The driver assistance features included in the Evoque are feature Park Exit, Perpendicular Park, Closing Vehicle Sensing and Reverse Traffic Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition and Wade Sensing. As an option, customers can choose Land Rover InControlTM connected car system.

The latter incorporates two new features – InControlTM Remote and InControlTM Secure. The first one allows owners to trigger an SOS Emergency Call which automatically informs the emergency services of the vehicle’s position. The second feature tracks the vehicle in the event of a theft utilizing advance tracking technology.

Another option is the Active Driveline, which is an ‘on demand’ four-wheel drive system that is capable of improving the agility as well as the fuel efficiency of the car. It does that by operating in front-wheel drive only during steady-state driving at speeds above 22 mph. This new feature also includes Active Torque Biasing with electronic-Diff (e-Diff) technology. It distributes torque between the rear wheels, thus maximizing the traction and stability.

What also enhances the agility and safety through the redirection of the torque between the four wheels is the Torque Vectoring by Braking feature. It will be also available as an option.

Furthermore, the design of the interior and exterior of this Land Rover model was also improved. There are detail changes, new colour options, four new alloy wheel styles, new style of Land Rover badge on the grille, wheel centres and tailgate.

2014 Range Rover Evoque will be equipped with economical and light weight four-cylinder engines: 2.2 diesel 150 hp (110 kW), 2.2 diesel 190 hp (140 kW) and 2.0 Petrol 240 hp (176 kW). The combined fuel consumption is estimated up to 57.6 mpg, while the CO2 emissions begin from 129 g/km.

Loder1899 Range Rover Evoque

Loder1899 has announced their latest project based on the stylish and sexy Range Rover Evoque. The Evoque could be described as a metrosexual: youthful, hetrosexual and urban with a refined sense of taste, but is it really tough enough?

To make it more aggressive, the tuners fitted the Evoque with a stainless steel front bumper guard – €399, rocker guards – €499 and PIAA lights – €538. There is also a 35mm increased ride height for €699 and a set of 18” alloy wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson all-terrain ATZ tires – set starting from €2312.

Loder1899 also offers a performance package for the 2.2 liter SD4 diesel. The engine originally produces 220HP (160 kW) and 500Nm (369 lb-ft), but it can be boosted to 250HP (182 kW) and 580Nm (428 lb-ft) of torque. 0-100 km/h in 8.2 seconds and a top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph).

Prior Design Range Rover Evoque PD650 Equipped With Widebody Aerodynamic-Kit

The tuners at Prior Design have just unveiled their latest project. This time under their attention is the exceptionally beautiful Range Rover Evoque in white exterior color. The vehicle’s stance is even more purposeful and impressive thanks to the new widebody aerodynamic kit it is equipped with.

All of the elements included in this transformation are made of a quality Dura-Flex FRP. The latter abbreviation stands for Fiber Reinforced Plastic and as we have seen so far it is extensively used by Prior Design. The reason for this is that this material is characterized by an excellent surface finish which delivers enough flexibility. In addition it also offers high stability.

Under the hood of this Range Rover hides the 2.2 TD4 litre diesel engine, which is capable of producing 150 horsepower (110 kW). The unit is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. But to go even further into details, the tuning brand have included in their PD650 Widebody Aerodynamic-Kit the following equipment: PD650 Front and Rear Add-On Spoilers, PD650 Front and Rear Widenings and PD650 Side Skirts.

Undoubtedly, the vehicle looks even more individual and will bring the attention immediately when seen.

Geneva Motor Show: Range Rover Evoque With Black Design Pack

A centre stage on Land Rover’s Geneva Motor Show stand takes the absolutely astonishing Fuji White Range Rover Evoque equipped with the striking new Black Design Pack. Both coupé and 5-door models already deliver wide options for choice and personalisation options across three design themes: Pure, Prestige and Dynamic.

Now, the Black Design Pack emphasizes the confident stance of the Range Rover Evoque ‘Dynamic’, with a host of striking black exterior detailing. A good example is the 20-inch, 9-spoke forged wheels painted in gloss black.

The entire amount of exterior bright finishes has been removed in order to create the Black Design Pack. For instance, a dark exhaust finishers painted in Santorini Black are complemented by a gloss black rear bumper and inner and outer sump guard, which is carried through on the front.

In addition, there are also visible the darkened front headlights and fog lamps – they of course continue the black theme. On the other hand the rear lamps have been transformed to give a clear effect so that they do not visually appear permanently red. Santorini Black painted ‘RANGE ROVER’ lettering across both the bonnet and tailgate and a rear sport spoiler finish the look.

The same Black Design Pack made its debut earlier this year. We have seen it on the Evoque Special Edition model, which is currently still on sale and available in both coupé and 5-door body styles. In this case, the customers have the choice of two exterior colour schemes: Sicilian Yellow exterior body finish with a Santorini Black contrast roof, and a Santorini Black exterior body finish with a Sicilian Yellow contrast roof and door mirrors.

The model also includes one-of-a-kind interior finishes complemented by yellow contrast stitching on seats, central storage area, door trims and fascia mid-section, plus an anodised yellow horizontal finisher.

More importantly, the Range Rover Evoque is powered by a choice of four Engines: the 2.2 litre diesel engine, in both TD4 150PS and SD4 190PS guise, mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive; the two-wheel drive eD4, powered by the 150PS TD4 version of the engine combined with a six-speed manual gearbox; and the lightweight 240PS Si4 petrol engine matched to a 6-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.

Range Rover Evoque Equipped With World’s First 9-Speed Automatic Transmission

Great news from Land Rover! The brand will showcase at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show the world’s first 9-speed automatic transmission for a passenger car. It is named ZF 9HP transmission and especially created for transverse applications.

It is one of the most efficient and technically advanced transmissions ever used in a production vehicle and in particular the new Range Rover Evoque will be equipped with it. The number of gear ratios has been increased from six to nine and this gives significant improvement in fuel economy and a corresponding reduction in CO2 emissions.

In addition, the smaller ratio steps deliver enhanced response during acceleration, improved shift quality, drive and refinement. What is more, the higher top gear not only decreses fuel consumption but also the lower engine revs improve comfort and reduce noise when cruising at high speed.

To go further into details, the lowest ratio in the 9HP is specifically designed for off-road use, towing and more extreme on-road conditions like gradients and altitude. The 9HP is also highly responsive and versatile too.

If the existing six-speed transmission makes shifts sequentially, the new one includes a skip-shift function for much swifter downshifting under rapid deceleration or from greater driver input demands. The torque converter incorporates a multi-stage damper system for smoother pulling away and enhanced refinement.

Furthermore, the “fast-off” mode measures the rate of throttle release, anticipates further requests by the driver for high power, then holds the gear if necessary. For instance, if there is requested a downshift when the vehicle is travelling too fast, the transmission will remember this request and make the shift when the speed drops to an appropriate level.

The extra three gear ratios add just additional length of 6 mm. Despite that, the transmission weighs 7.5 kg less than the outgoing six-speed transmission. The small package space is achieved through a new hydraulic vane-type pump, which also delivers improved efficiency, two patented dog clutches replacing bulkier conventional clutch packs, and an Intelligently Nested gear set.

Range Rover Evoque Sicilian Yellow Limited Edition Officially Revelaed

Range Rover Evoque Sicilian Yellow Limited Edition will make a first official appearance at the Brussels Motor Show which will take place on 10th of January. The stunningly beautiful vehicle is based on the 2013 Evoque Dynamic derivative, but it is equipped with a number of unique features.

The new Sicilian Yellow Limited Edition is a five-door coupe which will be available in two exterior color schemes based on a new Black Design Pack: Sicilian Yellow exterior body finish with a Santorini Black contrast roof, or a Santorini Black exterior body finish with a Sicilian Yellow contrast roof and door mirrors.

Some of the highlights in the interior include yellow contrast stitching on the seats, central storage area, door trims and fascia mid-section, plus an anodized yellow horizontal finisher. Furthermore, being a derivative of the Black Design Pack, it will also feature exclusively a rear sport spoiler, darkened front headlights and fog lamps, black Range Rover lettering, clear rear lamps, 20-inch Gloss Black forged wheels, Santorini Black painted bumper sections and dark exhaust finishers.

This Evoque will have three different powertrain options. The first one is Land Rover‘s efficient and lightweight 2.2 litre diesel engine delivering 190 horsepower (140 kW). It will be mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic gearbox and a four-wheel drive.

Secondly, the two-wheel drive eD4 is powered by the 150 hp (110 kW) TD4 unit and will be matched to a six-speed manual gearbox. The latter is very efficient and produces just 129g/km CO2.

The last option is the lightweight Si4 petrol engine which generates 240 hp (176 kW) and will be combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive.

Kahn Design has announced their latest project. It is based on Range Rover Evoque, which is one of best looking SUVs on the market. To make it even more exceptional, Kahn Design painted the vehicle in Lamborghini green pearl finish.

The tuning company also redesigned the exterior by adding a front bumper grille inner section in gloss black, front bumper replacement with integrated vents including 3D mesh inserts, a rear bumper replacement with integrated vents, side sill trim in body colour, a lower boot lid spoiler, tinted windows, chin spoiler in gloss black, rear diffuser in gloss black, front bumper centre section graphic in gloss black, front bumper replacement fog lamps, front grille vents in gloss black, painted bonnet stripe, LED daytime running lights for front bumper, front grille with 3D mesh, wheel arch trims and side sills in body colour, door entry sill plates in stainless steel, front headlight detail in gloss black, side vent surrounds in matte black, side vents in gloss black, brake callipers finished in black and a lower boot lid spoiler lip in gloss black.

The interior boasts nice black quilted and perforated leather and alcantara with green leather. The centre dashboard trim is wrapped in alcantara with contrast stitching, four door panel tops in quilted & perforated leather, leather binnacle with alcantara inserts & contrast stitching, centre glovebox – diamond quilted with contrast stitching, transmission tunnel in alcantara with contrast stitching, speedo and rev counter facia in black, dashboard quilted and perforated, four door armrests – diamond quilted with contrast stitching, diamond gear selector, gear selector surround in piano black and machined aluminium.

The tuned Evoque rolls Kahn RS-XF wheels – 9.5J x 22” fitted with proper low-profile tires.

It is clearly that the Kahn Range Rover Evoque is much more special and nice than the factory version.

MOV’IT Steel Brake Systems for Hamann Range Rover Evoque

MOV’IT has just released a new stopper for the the iconic Range Rover Evoque which in the current case is transformed by the tuning company Hamann. We have already seen this inspiring modification but without the Steel Brake System enhancement.

We must admit that the stylish Evoque is one of the most beautiful cars in the SUV class. And now it is getting even prettier, thanks to the MOV’IT brake specialists from Ottersweier. What they offer is two 6-piston steel brake systems.

The first one are 370×35 mm steel brake discs and the second – 380×32 mm. The serial device is 300×29 millimetres large.

MOV’IT steel disc brakes are running-direction bound and equipped with the MOV’IT-DDE™ venting system. The latter provides the high fading stability. The two-part design with aluminium pot is reduces the weight significantly. All this results in better response of the suspension and improves the steering behaviour.

As a result, the Range Rover becomes more agile. In addition, this specific system is even cost-neutral after compensation for running output as compared to use of the OE-device! All components here: calipers, pot, lining and attachment, are designed and enhanced in order to match perfectly to the respective brake disc material (steel or ceramic).

The MOV’IT-brake calipers are made of a highly-resilient aluminium alloy. This means basically that they are restistant to distortion and may be charged with a pressure of up to 250 bar.

Furthermore, their open caliper design improves ventilation. Additionally this means that the caliper can be replaced in installed condition. Next to be highlighted is that the MOV’IT-CROWN system is located on the vehicle side. An edge milled to a crown shape permits fastening the steel brake lines in a certain angle.

MOV’IT-brake pots improve the brake disc venting with their running-direction-bound, turbine-like design. A specially constructed attachment system of highly resilient tool steel ensures ideal connection.

Hamann Range Rover Evoque

A complete job on the Range Rover Evoque by Hamann-Motorsport. A rather impressive display of character that can only be achieved with the help of true after market geniuses. Your personal Rangie can look like that whether it is the five-door model or the three-door “coupe”

Just looking at the finished piece, we feel intimidated by it’s aggressiveness. This might be due to the added two-part front spoiler or the new side skirts. Or maybe it’s the new fenders which broaden the vehicle’s tracks by 70 and 80 mm front and back respectively. The Evoque’s stance is also improved by the 22-inch wheels that have “anodised anthracite spokes”, titanium screws and high-gloss polished rim flanges. Even further, suspension-springs ensure 30 mm of less ground clearance which is bad for the Range Rover‘s SUV image bud good when it comes to cornering.

One will have the power to get out of a corner as well. Thanks to a sporty exhaust system, a sports air filter and some engine electronics witchcraft, the 2.2 Si4 model delivers 38 hp of additional power. The diesel engines on the other hand (the 2.2 TD4, 2.2 ED4 and 2.2 SD4) do rather respectable with another 31 hp.

Some Hamann work is clearly visible from the inside as well. But chances are that you’ll never enter two same Hamann-Motorsport Range Rover Evoques. The options list is long enough to give the opportunity of every customer to express him/herself fully.

2012 Kahn Range Rover Evoque Vesuvius – Exceptional and “Screaming” for Attention

2012 Kahn Range Rover Evoque Vesuvius is the latest creation by the exceptional UK-based tuning company Kahn Design. Since its last modification on Range Rover Evoque became highly appreciated and received much acclaim, the designers have decided to make another exceptional tuning on the same model.

What we can effortlessly see is that the so called “Vesuvius” tuning brings even more style and charisma to the Evoque model. This visual appearance will undoubtedly satisfy any customer, who wants to be unique.

Kahn’s Evoque Vesuvius is entirely colour coded, in terms of interior and exterior. The visual appearance is striking and “screams” for attention. I am pretty sure it receives it whenever it runs through the streets.

As you can see this modification is made with the outstanding craftsmanship of Kahn Design’s tuners. A lot of attention has been put on every detail thus giving it more elegance, styling and charismatic stance.

On the other hand the interior of this tuned Evoque is no less exceptional and unique. In fact, this model has astonishing interior through which anyone can recognize high-quality of craftsmanship.

In short- the interior has been upgraded to a magnificent level with the help of: door panel tops in quilted and perforated leather with orange stitching interior; floor mats – black charcoal finish; piano black trim to gear surround; red rev counter; red speedo; black quilted and perforated leather with alcantara inserts and Vesuvius orange leather detailing.
