Nissan Friend-ME Concept With Official Première

Nissan Friend-ME Concept finally made its official premiere in Shanghai offering a distinctive and very different outlook. Thanks to its assertive and imposing exterior and flowing sculpted lines, this Nissan concept vehicle delivers on-road solidity and edgy muscularity.

Nissan Friend-ME Concept has a design based on an existing Nissan sedan architecture. It includes the ecologically efficient PureDrive hybrid powertrain.

The exterior design of the Friend-ME addresses a fine balance and refined essence. The result adds an entirely new and youthful dimension to the sedan category. Furthermore, the concept offers low and wide stance with short front and rear overhangs. This eventually gives the car aggressive and sporty impression.

The design’s energy flows from the V-motion shaped grille. The same energy continues streaming through the bonnet and shoulder lines while the headlamps and rear combination lamps are further highlighted by the unique boomerang-shaped lighting signature.

The profile of the Friend-Me accentuates the thin and light floating roof. In addition, the Neon Grey exterior colour was especially created to appeal to tech-savvy tastes and puts more emphasis on the lines of the car.

Inside the coupe, the front and back seats are separated with high-tech style. Everyone that is inside the car can access the same information as the driver: speed, navigation, fuel remaining.

The unique centre console stretches from the dash to between the rear seats – an iconic monolith in an onyx-black finish.

Second Teaser Of Nissan Friend-ME Concept Revealed

After the first teaser that has been revealed of Nissan Friend-Me Concept a week ago, Nissan teases the public again with the reveal of another image of the new upcoming car, which is set to excite 2013 Auto Shanghai 2013. This time we are being introduced to the rear and side of the car that exude flowing lines and aerodynamic construction.

The new concept will include unique center console that allows “Four Seats, One Mind Connectivity”. This means that the information in the vehicle will be equally distributed among all aboard. As a matter of fact, Friend-ME targets the young customers in China.

In addition, Nissan will also showcase in Shanghai the Nissan GT-R, Quest, Murano and Teana. Furthermore at the exhibit, the bran will mark its first use of new global space design for motor shows. There the guests will be entirely immersed into Nissan’s world, appealing throughout with sight, sound, touch and even smell, with a new green tea-inspired “Nissan fragrance.”

Nissan GT-R AMS Alpha 12+: 1 mile Top Speed 374 km/h [video]

Dragtimesinfo has released sensational video showing Nissan GT-R AMS Alpha 12+ doing whopping 374 km/h (232 mph) at 1 mile drag race.

The powerful GT-R AMS Alpha 12+ manage to accelerate in:

– 0-96 km/h – 2.08 seconds
– 0-160 km/h – 3.21 seconds
– 0-200 km/h – 6.52 seconds
– 0-300 km/h – 12.87 seconds

This makes it a lot faster than Hennessey Venom GT, which makes 0-300 km/h in 13.6 seconds, Koenigsegg Agera R – 14.5 seconds and Bugatti Veyron Super Sport – 14.6 seconds.

Still, the Monster is a lot slower than Hennessey Ford GT, which holds the current world record . It managed to hit 430.56 km/h (267.6 mph) at 1 mile drag race.

2013 Nissan Juke N-Tec – Price

Nissan has revealed the pricing of the new Juke N-Tec Special Edition for the UK. The sector-busting crossover is starting from just £16,295 and comes with a plenty of good equipment.

The Juke N-Tec is based on the Acenta Premium model and adds a striking new look. There is a set of 18” black and silver n-tec alloy wheels wrapped in 225/45 tyres. There is also a gloss black finish on the B-pillars and door mirrors and black bezels for the bonnet light strips.

The interior features a gloss black centre console and gloss black door trim finishers.

The new generation Nissan Connect system is fitted as standard to all n-tec models. It includes a 5.8” colour touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity and Google Send-To-Car technology.

Juke n-tec models also feature Nissan Dynamic Control System which allows the driver to select preferred driving dynamic modes, as well as change other functions such as climate control settings via the central touchscreen. Other standard equipment includes a reversing camera with colour display, automatic climate control and audio with Bluetooth Compatibility and USB port.

2013 Nissan GT-R Breaks Records In Russia [VIDEO]

One of the most impressive machines on planet Earth is 2013 Nissan GT-R. The latest adventure it embarked on is in Russia where with the help of LAV Productions Company it has set the goal to break the speed record on natural ice.

The event happened literally on Lake Baikal under severe weather conditions. The temperature was – 22 Degrees Celsius and the ice depth was enough (1.4 m) to sustain the weight of the Nissan. The team there came to the Lake in order to set a new world speed record on ice for a standard production vehicle.

Although given the fact that the GT-R can generate 540 horsepower (397 kW), the ice under the wheels definitely made the task tougher and much harder. Roman Rusinov and Andrey Leontjev were those who mastered the unusual challenge and according to their words, thanks to Nissan GT-R’s all wheel drive, they have managed to fully realize the power of the torque – which is 632 Nm (466 kW) at 3200 to 5800 rpm.

The end result is that they have ended up breaking a record: the top speed achieved is exactly 294.8 km/h. If you want to know more about what exactly happened there, just view the video below.

2013 Nissan GT-R Hits The Powder [VIDEO]

A twenty minute film has just been published by Nissan, showing the assets and qualities of their 2013 Nissan GT-R model. It reveals how the vehicle operates effortlessly in the toughest road conditions and which are the technologies inside of it which contribute towards it seamless performance.

This 2013 GT-R includes a wide range of enhanced technologies. More importantly, it can generate 550 horsepower (405 kW) from its 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine. Here the lessons, that the brand have learned after this year’s Nürburgring 24-Hour, are applied by the engineers thus effecting in enhanced response in both the mid- and upper-rpm rev ranges.

Other changes include increased body rigidity and modifications to the dampers, springs and front anti-roll bar. As a conclusion we can confirm that the GT-R is now more responsive, has better high-speed stability and a more refined ride.

Knowing that the vehicle is a true monster on pavement, the creators of this project wanted to test its qualities on snow? This happened at the Nissan testing ground in Hokkaido, Japan.

Nissan Teases Friend-ME Concept Ahead Of Shanghai

Five days ago it has been announced that Nissan is going to make a world premiere of its brand new concept vehicle at the 2013 Shanghai Autoshow. Ahead of the event, which will happen on 20 April, the car, named Friend-Me Concept, has been teased.

It has also been revealed that the model will include one-of-a-kind center console that allows “Four Seats, One Mind Connectivity”, which allows the information to be shared among all aboard.

With the help of the teaser image released, we can conclude that the new model will include LED-headlights, will exude sportiness through its aggressive front fascia, and will probably have liquid lines which will contribute towards it aerodynamism.

2014 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid With Debut In New York

After the debut of the latest generation Nissan Pathfinder last year, now the Japanese brand is ready to enter the Hybrid version of the iconic model. 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid debuted today at a press conference at the New York International Auto Show.

Pathfinder Hybrid is the first of several upcoming Nissan hybrid models. It is expected to go on sale in late summer. To go further into details, this Nissan includes a supercharged 2.5-liter gasoline engine combined with a 15 kW electric motor and advanced Nissan Intelligent Dual Clutch hybrid control system.

The system is rated at 250 horsepower (184 kW) and 243 lb-ft (330 Nm) of torque. In addition, the utilization of Nissan Intelligent Dual Clutch System (one motor / two clutch parallel system) efficiently manages power from both the electric motor and the gas engine.

It is placed between the gasoline engine and the next-gen Xtronic CVT®, the motor also functions as a generator, conveying deceleration force from the CVT to the battery. One clutch is installed between the gasoline engine and the electric motor, the other within the CVT.

Of course being a hybrid, this Pathfinder is expected to deliver exceptional fuel economy, which is estimated at 26 mpg Combined. In fact, this is an increase of 24 percent over the standard model. Moreover, the estimated City fuel economy is 25 mpg, while Highway mileage is 27 mpg.

Next, the space-saving Li-ion battery is positioned under the 3rd row seat. A regenerative braking system operates in such way that it recharges the battery by converting the vehicle’s kinetic energy that would be otherwise lost in braking.

In terms of exterior appearance, the Hybrid includes efficient LED taillights and Nissan PUREDRIVE® Hybrid badges At last, a special hybrid information screens are added to the instrument panel’s Advanced Drive-Assist™ Display.

Alpine-Nissan N°36 Unveiled!

The Parisian public and visitors to the French capital recently got the opportunity to discover the new Alpine prototype – Alpine-Nissan N°36, which is poised to compete in this year’s endurance racing season. When the veil was lifted under it was a striking blue and orange livery which recalls the colors sported by the Alpines that raced at Le Mans some five decades ago.

In fact, the unveiling of this unique car marks the beginning of another phase. The goal with this car is to be competitive in endurance racing’s highly competitive LMP2 class. Brand will use the different test sessions that are planned, as well as the first two rounds of the ELMS in order to get ready for June’s Le Mans 24 Hours.

Those who were chosen to get behind the wheel of the N°36 Alpine-Renault are Nelson Panciatici, Tristan Gommendy and Pierre Ragues. As a reserve driver was chosen Paul-Loup Chatin.

Nissan e-NV200 and NV200 London Taxi at the Commercial Vehicle Show

Nissan is going to present two new vehicles at the 13^th annual Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC Birmingham. The e-NV200 and NV200 London Taxi will make their official debut.

The e-NV200, Nissan’s first 100% electric van will make its UK debut at the show. It has already won praise with fleet operators for zero CO₂ at the point of use, driving comfort and generous carrying capacity and payload.

With prices at the pump continuing to rise, one of the biggest benefits of the eNV200 will be the long term cost savings that can be made by charging the van with electricity rather than filling up with diesel.

The NV200 Taxi has been modified to accommodate a wheel chair passenger and achieve a 25ft (7.6m) turning-circle – a legal requirement for all Hackney Carriages.

Built in response to strong fleet and business demand, the new and highly affordable entry-level version of the popular Navara double cab pick-up will be exhibited on the Nissan stand. The Navara Visia has been carefully developed to offer operators a practical, robust and capable pick-up at a price that’s in tune with the times.

“We’re looking forward to showing the eNV200 to the public and offering a glimpse into the future of vans and their potential low running costs. 2013 Nissan Juke n-Tec Special Edition

Nissan has announced Juke n-Tec Special Edition, which comes with the new generation Nissan Connect infotainment system with remote connectivity as standard.

The n-Tec Special Edition is based on the Acenta trim level. It includes a 5.8” colour touchscreen, satellite navigation and Bluetooth connectivity for mobile phones and music players, the new system incorporates Google’s Send-To-Car technology.

Using Google’s Send-To-Car, an owner can plan a journey on a PC or tablet at home or in the office and then send the instructions to the car. And as the journey starts the navigation system has already planned the best route, avoiding traffic issues and incorporating any points of interest (POI) specified.

The Juke n-Tec also features a set of 18” black/silver alloys, glossy black mirror caps and B-pillars. Eight exterior colors are available, along with three interior cabin shades. The crossover is powered by a 1.6 liter naturally aspirated engine with 117HP (86 kW) or a 1.6 liter turbocharged DIG-T with 190HP (140 kW). There is also a diesel variant – 1.5 dCi with 110HP (81 kW).

Other standard equipment includes a reversing camera with colour display, rain sensing wipers, auto-lighting, front fog lights, leather trimmed steering wheel and gear lever knob, automatic climate control and audio with Bluetooth Compatibility and USB port.

Nissan And Mitsubishi Are Joining Forces In New Minicar Project

Nissan and Mitsubishi are now joining forces and going to produce new minicars for the Japanese market. The names of the new vehicles are Nissan DAYZ and Nissan DAYZ Highway STAR which are going to go on sale in June 2013. In addition, a result of this project will be also the production of Mitsubishi eK Wagon and eK Custom.

The new models will deliver great attributes such as excellent fuel economy and a roomy cabin. Both brand identities of Nissan and Mitsubishi are kept but the eventual outcome is innovative and different designs for their respective minicar.

Nissan’s new models will be recognized under the name of DAYZ, where the “Z” indicates a new way of looking at delivering value to owners as they go about their normal days. The aim is to change standard “everyday” activities into days with added delight by owning one of these cars.

Both DAYZ and DAYZ Highway STAR will deliver driver and occupants dynamic design and quality interior space. On the other hand Mitsubishi Motors are working on creating a second new minicar, a “super height” (tall) wagon, which is planned for launching in early 2014.
