  • The 2013 Nissan Juke NISMO

NISMO (Nissan Motorsport International Limited) represents one of the most beloved types of sport cars nowadays that is widely popular worldwide. NISMO in particular has managed to deliver for customers some of the very best, diverse and well-performing at the market cars in the history of the Nissan series. The NISMO type has successfully mingled in the past with some already established famous models and this tendency of Nissan-the redesigning of an existing model through the NISMO type has been going on ever since NISMO was created. The newest NISMO-Nissan vehicle was released in 2013 and it represents a mix of NISMO and the highly acclaimed Nissan Juke. This new creation is an example of sheer style, vivid imagination in detail and technology in all the good and familiar Nissan ways.

We spoke to Sheridan Nissan in DE, our local Nissan store, to get the details of this model. Specific features to the NISMO model include a turbo engine which is 4-cylinder and has 1.6-liter capacity. The torque is specific with the fact that it can reach 184 lb-ft and its maximum availability ranges up to 5200 revolutions per minute. When it comes down to the output the car has 197 horsepower at 6000 revolutions per minute. Other technical specifications include the improved steering wheel and the tires which are probably the most updated assets in comparison to the original car. Other changes are for example the shock absorbers which were altered in order to adapt more of a sport style. Additionally, you will need to make a slightly harder steering effort which will provide the driver with an even greater sports feeling.

The components and features acquired from the original Juke are respectively the manual which is as usual six-speed or the other option in the car is a drive of an all-wheel type alongside a soft CVT which in all likelihood you should find quite comfortable.

The features in the interior of the car are many. There are little toys including various effects and comforts. The kit includes bumper stripes, side sills, LED accent lights, NISMO badges, spoilers with fascinating outlook, a brand new looking front fascia and mirror caps of screaming scarlet. The new NISMO Juke model has been described by the company to be much more comfortable in a state of downforce. The company offers official colors that vary between white, gray, silver and black and these are more or less, the perfect colors for a serious car bearing an aggressive and sports-like charisma. The original Juke has really nothing on the 2013 NISMO Juke model in terms of its sports outlook and its wild dynamic aura. In short, if you are looking for the family-feel vehicle, you need to go for the original. If you are looking for an “I want to be a champion” car, you need to go for the NISMO Juke.

To be more precise, the Nissan 370Z NISMO has debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March and it is going to be seen in the showrooms later this year. This special Nismo is powered by a 350 hp (257 kW) six-cylinder engine. The car also includes bespoke chassis tuned to deliver a sharper and more engaging driving experience. • Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 at the race track [HD video]

Nissan has revealed the GT-R Nismo GT3 race car, which is prepared by JR Motorsports, the official partner for this major project. GT-R GT3 has been developed since 2011 and now it is put on series of extensive tests – which have included three competitive outings.

The GT-R Nismo GT3 is powered by a 3.8 liter twin-turbo V6 with 530 PS (390 kW / 523 hp) and 612 Nm (451 lb-ft) of torque. It is interesting, because originally the GT-R is AWD car, but the racing version will be a lot faster with only one drive axle.

The racing car was displayed in the UK at Autosport International (Europe’s biggest motorsport exhibition) in January, but since then nothing special is mentioned about it, until now.

However, JRM and NISMO offer the racecar in Japan, Asia, North America, South America, Oceania, Europe, Russia and the Middle East. The price starts from 298 000 Euro.

  • Nismo March Concept Debut [VIDEO]

nissan-march-nismo-concep-thumbTokyo Auto Salon 2012 is over and Nissan have managed to leave a long lasting impression from their presentations. Along with the Nismo Juke and Nismo LEAF electric car, a Nismo March Concept made a surprise appearance appearance and feedback is turning out to be good.

In comparison to the standard version, the Nismo March Concept is not strikingly different. In fact the only mechanical bit introduced to a tuning kit is the suspension. Other then that the ride is lowered, the wheels are lightweight and the bumpers, sideskirts and door mirrors are sort of new. The inside has underwent some design changes as well but nothing specific. Yet, the overall result is rather pleasant – we have a sporty little bumblebee with nice color patterns and a good road stance.

Officials are still not sure if they are going to give the Nismo March a green light unless public response ends up being positive (which it most probably will). It was the same story with the Nismo Juke – last year a concept and this year a production debut.

The Tokyo Auto Salon 2012 ran through Sunday, and featured some 367 exhibitors and 630 vehicles. Nismo and Autech Japan jointly showcased there a booth that looked like a race circuit compleate with audience stands and everything. Other vehicles displayed included the Fairlady Z, various kinds of vans and other icons such as the GT-R.

  • Nissan to Dominate Dubai 24h Hour Race

After an amazing season last year, Nissan are ready to stun the racing world again, beginning with the Dubai 24h race. They have a new GT-R Nismo GT-3 lined up and ready to take on the A6 category. The team that will be performing there consists of four drivers – Michael Krumm (GER), Tom Kimber-Smith (UK), Franck Mailleux (FRA) and Alex Buncombe (UK). They have many titles behind their backs some of which include the Le Mans Series LMP2 , the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup LMP2 and the Blancpain Endurance Series’ GT4 crown. So this year’s car truly has the task of crossing the finish line with royalty inside and it is rightfully named as the “Champion’s car”

“2011 was a great year for Nissan and I am very much looking forward to racing the new GT3 car in Dubai,” commented Krumm. “The Nissan GT-R took us all the way to the top in 2011 so I hope we can have a good race with the new car. It’s great to celebrate a successful 2011 for Nissan and I’m excited to see how the GT Academy guys get on in the ‘All-Gamer’ car.”

In that last bit he is talking about the first all-gamer team which is also taking place in the Dubai race. Competing in a Nissan 370Z, will be the winners of the Nissan/Playstation GT academy challenge. They have underwent rigorous training to meet the standards of a demanding race such as this one. The team comprises of two new-comers: Jann Mardenborough (UK) and Bryan Heitkotter (USA) along with the previous season One and Two winners: Lucas Ordonez (ESP) and Jordan Tresson (FRA).

A third Nissan (again a 370Z) will also be participating in next week’s race as Humaid Al Masaood (UAE), Richard Meaden (UK) and Tetsuya Tanaka (JAP) will also be representing RJN motorsport

“I have competed successfully in the previous two Dubai 24hr with my own team so to be invited to race with Nissan and their three car assault is a great honour and a new challenge,” said Al Masaood. “Although I am now racing in the USA there is something very special about racing in my local 24hr as it is this race that has helped me develop as a driver. I am looking forward to working with Nissan and my co-drivers and hopefully delivering a great result. It is really encouraging to see Nissan bringing talented young drivers into motorsport through GT Academy and I am keen to see drivers from the Gulf region be given the opportunity to start racing through such a professional programme.”

Set to start next Friday, the Dubai 24 Hour Race is an endurance race held annually at the Dubai Autodrome. It was first held in 2006 and is considered to be extremely testing for both driver and machine.
