  • Loder1899 Ford Mustang Result of 50 Years Long Relationship

Loder1899 Ford Mustang Side ViewLoder1899 Ford Mustang is here to show how good things don’t need a lot to become even better. Unlike Kahn’s Land Rover Defender, the pony car received only minor modifications. In fact, there is a lot of work currently going on this project, but I will discuss this a little bit later. Now, take a look at the pictures below and find out what has happened to this beautiful Mustang. Then come back and check out what the experts have done.

Mustang and Loder1899 Through the Years

Before speaking about the customization, I must tell you that Loder1899 and Ford Mustang have a long-time relationship. Everything starts back in 1964 with the launch of the famous muscle car. At the same time Josef Loder (you can figure out who is by the surname) received approval for a Ford dealership near Munich, Germany.

Working with the same enthusiasm with new Mustangs, the tuners at Loder1899 can show some expertise than we can be envious of.

Simple Changes Make the Best Impression

Currently, the changes on this Mustang are very simple, comprising by new wheels and tires only. The alloys can be ordered in various color combinations ranging from 20- up to 22-inch.

More importantly, there is still work to be done here. The engineers are working at the moment on new sport exhaust systems for this muscle champion. In addition, they are also preparing some performance enhancements as well as chassis modifications. So we are really eager to see what the end result will look like.

Stay with us because more news about this exclusive project is coming soon.

  • Ford Mustang Offers an Online Ride Across Silverstone Track!

Ford MustangFord Mustang can now be seen by multiple angles with a special interactive video, that enable everyone to experience what it is to drive such a vehicle around the legendary Silverstone track in UK. The vide is shot with a Mustang fastback vehicle, geared with 5.0-liter V8 engine. But the interesting part is that viewers can rotate the camera in order to find that sweet spot for getting unmatched feeling of the vehicle in action. And maybe one of the coolest features is that, you can switch to helicopter view and front bumper view. How cool is that?

Ford Mustang and the incredible online experience

The 80-second film itself was captured via six GoPro cameras inside the car, along with a drone and of course the front bumper cameras. This combination of skills and technology is in fact the main mechanism, that offers such an online experience. Furthermore, professional driver Paul Swift was behind the wheel of the Mustang vehicle and went to a 2.6-kilometer (1.6-mile) lap of the National Circuit at Silverstone. In fact, as you may know, this is the home of the F1 British Grand Prix.

    https://youtu.be/3ifFZhMySq0

So, you will see for yourself how cool the video is. You “start” the vehicle by pressing its signature Start button and start the 80-second experience. And throughout the video you can change angles, switch cameras and try out numerous different angles to get an idea what is to be inside such a vehicle in such a place with such a driver. You simply control the camera by mouse or keyboard buttons and you switch the view by clicking each icon, that instantly transports you to your desired location. In fact, there is also a YouTube video, that also offers the same experience.

I have never seen a 360° film of this quality before – it really is like being in the car. I’d love to tell you how it’s done but I’m sworn to secrecy!

  • Shelby Mustang GT350 and GT350R Getting Stronger with 526HP [videos]

Ford Shelby Mustang GT350 and GT350R are going to get stronger due to one single fact: they are getting Ford’s 5.2-liter V8 engine. This one is in fact the most power-dense naturally aspirated road-going engine that the company has ever produced. It is also regarded as Ford’s highest-revving production V8 with a redline of 8,250 rpm.

To be more precise, the 5.2-liter flat-plane crankshaft V8 pumps out 526 horsepower (389 kW) at 7,500 rpm and 532 Nm (429 lb.-ft.) at 4,750 rpm, and it will be powering only the two Shelby models. The unit is not only the most powerful naturally aspirated one, but also it is the most efficient… Or at least in terms of specific output. It generates 102 horsepower per liter of displacement.

SEE ALSO: Why Shelby GT350 Mustang Has the Best Handling Ever?

The design of this new V8 was improved with the help of computer-aided engineering and digital performance simulations. The optimal combination was achieved after millions of intake, cam and exhaust configurations were made.

Usually, the cross-plane crankshaft V8 engines have their piston-carrying connecting rods attached to the crankshaft at 90-degree intervals. Unlike this in the new engine, the angle is changed to 180-degree.

The first noticeable result is the change of the characteristic sound of an American V8. The next one is the improved cylinder exhaust-pulse separation, that also enhances engine’s breathing, thus allowing it to produce more power.

Both Shelby GT350 and GT350R will get the 5.2-liter unit mated to a TR-3160 six-speed manual transmission as an only option. It was specifically engineered for less mass and high-rpm application.

The unique Ford 5.2-liter V8 engine is scheduled to go on sale this fall. And here you can check out how it sounds, because this “noise” will be soon terrorizing tracks around the country.

  • Here is How GeigerCars.de Customized the Ford Mustang GT

The German tuners at GeigerCars.de have just sent us an e-mail with this special project involving a Fort Mustang GT. Along with the stunning pictures they have also said some specifics about the in-house tuned car. Just to tease you a bit: not only design updates were implemented, but also a major engine boost.

    Engine

The most prominent modification here is on the engine. After the treatment, the 5.0-liter V8 unit sends significantly more power to the rear wheels. This is due to a supercharger installation. As a result the powerplant now produces 709 hp (521 kW) and 706 Nm (521 lb-ft) of torque.

SEE ALSO: Dodge Challenger Hellcat Arrives in Europe

These numbers are transmitted onto the road via six-speed manual transmission. And if you wonder about the 0-100 km/h acceleration time, well it happens in just 3.9 seconds. The top speed has been also extended and it is now of 305 km/h.

At the back, the superpowers of the V8 are complemented by the new stainless steel sports exhaust with valve control. It also features NASCAR grade roar of the supercharged engine.

    GT Performance Package

In addition to the updated engine and the six-speed manual, the tuners are also offering a special pack which will make the Mustang even better. It consists of an uprated cooling system and springs for the front suspension, a 3.73:1 final drive ratio with Torsen limited slip differential, stability control system and Brembo high performance brake system.

With this pack, the customers will also get some cabin extras like the Recaro sports seats, additional instruments, parking aid, Shaker Pro-audio system, HD radio, memory function for the driver’s seat and mirrors, and a blind-spot warning system.

Other performance parts which aren’t featured here but can be easily purchased are the 30 mm lowering springs and front and rear anti-roll bars.

    Wheels & Tires

At last, we should say that this car runs on special wheels. They are in-house made as well, come in black and have Y-spokes. The sizes for the front and the rear are 8.5 and 10×20-inch, respecitvely, and they are mated to a 255 /35R20 and 295/30R20 tires.

  • This Shelby Mustang Produces 1258 Horses!

Kinetik Motorsport Shelby Mustang GT500 Side ViewThis is probably the fastest Mustang ever produced. Please, correct me if I’m wrong. The reason for my opinion is that this Shelby GT500 is capable of more than 1258 horsepower! It sounds almost unthinkable, since most of the cars produce around 100-150 hp. Behind this project is the team at Kinetik Motorsport, which is famous for its power tunings for late-model performance vehicles.

The questions are many, but one that pops-out almost immediately, is how was this achieved? Well, the answer is simple: with the means of an entirely new engine. Yes, the tuner has installed a brand new powertrain which was delivered by L&M Engines.

SEE ALSO: Limited Run for Shelby Mustang GT350 and GT350R

Fortunately, details about it aren’t scarce. The engine is the 5.8-litre V8 which was coupled with a huge 4.7-litre supercharger.

The result is spectacular and it is estimated at 1248 hp (925 kW) and 1435 Nm (1059 lb-ft) of torque. If you ask about the top speed: it is rated at 336 km/h, and this was done on car’s premiere at the Texas Mile.

The modifications do not stop here. Next to the supercharger, the engine also got a limited slip differential. Contributing to the additional hoses is also the Magnaflow 3-inch catback exhaust system that has tube headers by American Racing and sports mufflers.

The chassis of the Mustang has been strengthened via Koni coilovers and Griggs GR40SS suspension. The last component is the brake disks installed at all four corners and delivered by Baer Extreme.

  • Limited Run for Shelby Mustang GT350 and GT350R

Shelby Ford Mustan Side ViewShelby GT350 marks 50 years this year and to celebrate this, Ford has announced that it will release a limited run of the GT350 and GT350R variants. The original first generation of the car was introduced in 1965 and since then has been one of the most desired cars worldwide. It is also a synonym great performance, which has been proved on many racetracks through the years. The latest edition of the model is powered by the most potent naturally aspirated engine that Ford has ever produced.

Going into details, the company announced that it will produce only 100 Shelby GT350 with the 2015 model year designation. Half of them will be equipped as a standard with the Technology Package and the other half – with the Track Package.

SEE ALSO: Ford Mustang under Speed Test. Covers 0-100kmh in 4.8 seconds [VIDEO]

On the other hand, the pony car legend, which is 2015 Shelby GT350R, will be produced in 37 units. Behind this number, there is an interesting history that has happened 50 years ago. In 1965, Carroll Shelby created an FIA-homologated Mustang, which was dubbed Shelby GT350 competition model.

It competed on various track globally, showing its superpowers. Moreover, it won the Sports Car Club of America’s B Production national championship in 1965, 1966 and 1967, as well as the different races throughout South America and Europe, and the 1967 24 Hours of Le Mans is just a single instance.

The car got extremely limited production run and debates are still ongoing on how much examples were produced. Despite that Shelby made two prototype cars and 35 production ones, most records show only 34 production models with official serial numbers. For this reason, the GT350R models will be exactly 37 in memory of Carroll Shelby.

  • Ford Mustang under Speed Test. Covers 0-100kmh in 4.8 seconds [VIDEO]

Ford Mustang Side ViewIf you think that there is nothing new about the Mustang, you are wrong. Ford has just released a video, showing how the V8 powered pony car sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in only 4.8 seconds. This is actually record-braking, because it guarantees that the Mustang is the fastest accelerating Ford coupe ever offered in Europe.

If you wonder what will happen if the car is equipped with the 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine, well, the answer is simple. It will need an additional second to cover the same sprint, but it will be also more economical and environmentally-friendly, delivering 35mpg and 179 g/km of CO2 emissions.

To go into details, Ford’s 5.0-litre V8 engine produces 435 horsepower (320 kW) and 542 Nm (400 lb.-ft.) of torque. On the other hand, the more fuel-efficient 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine generaes 317 hp (233 kW) and 432 Nm (319 lb-ft) of torque.

Both engines are supported by a standard Performance Pack, which adds updated brakes and cooling. The new chassis and body structure, the additional advanced technology, are the other key factor, which helps in terms of optimized driving dynamic.

The famous pony car also features selectable drive modes, which are controlled via the toggle switches in the centre console. They adjust the electronic stability control, throttle response, ear-shift patterns, and steering with the help of four settings: Normal, Sport+, Track or Snow/Wet settings.

In addition, the new Mustang also uses independent front and rear suspension and double-ball-joint front MacPherson struts. In addition, body of the car is 28 per cent stiffer than the previous generation, which has also contributed for the great 0-100 km/h performance. Lightweight materials like aluminium for the bonnet, front wings, suspension, transmission and brakes are the other feature which has played a significant role in weight reduction and 4.8 seconds acceleration time.

The Mustang is offered in cabrio and fastback variant and is available throughout the United States. European dealerships will get the Mustang from July this summer. And don’t forget to watch the exciting video below:

  • ROUSH Performance Releases Stage 3 Kit for the Mustang [VIDEO]

ROUSH Ford Mustang Stage 3 Front ViewFord Mustang has been lucky to be one of the most famous and desired car in the world. This does not count only for ownership, but also for customization. Many companies have already released their tuning kits for the latest generation Mustang, thus making it more unique and with better characteristics. The good news is that one of the prominent modifiers of the pony car has already finished its phase 2 and 3 kits.

I am talking about the specialists at ROUSH Performance, who have also released a video showing a dyno run for a development vehicle. In it you will see and hear the rear wheel horsepower with a stock engine and the phase 1 Supercharger kit hardware plus. The upgrades added are as follows: a 75mm supercharger pulley, upgraded fuel injectors, fuel pump booster kit and calibration enhancements.

The testing they performed was done via 93 octane, stock manifolds, and stock catalytic converters. What impression we can get from the video? Due to the small modification to the phase 1 hardware, the 2.3L supercharger kit is capable of exceeding 800 horsepower (588 kW). Just imagine what phase 2 and 3 could do?!

To go into details, the stage 3 Mustang is expected to be the most powerful and well-balanced production version of the car to be launched, not only out of ROUSH Performance garage but also in general. Under the hood of the car is the ROUSHcharged Coyote 5.0, pushing out more than 800 hp. In the second video below you can see in details what it exactly features.
