  • Desert Warrior 3 – Off-road Monster

The new Desert Warrior 3 off-road race car was delivered just ahead of Bonfire Night. The beast boasts nice satin black paint and some nice upgrades improving the performance. There were certainly fireworks as the team put the new car through its paces during a 2-day shakedown in Holland over the weekend.

Desert Warrior 3 is powered by a 3.0 litre diesel engine with 275HP (202kW) and 850Nm (630 lb-ft) of torque. The engine has FIA restrictor. The power is put on the road through 6-speed sequential gearbox.

The suspension includes 8 Reiger coilvers and the wheel/tyre set includes 16”Compomotive Atacama Rally Raid wheels fitted with BF Goodrich Desert Race G series.

The fuel tanks is 260 liters and the total weight of the race car is 1900kg.

Check out the full specs below!

    Technical specifications:

Engine: Diesel 3.0 litre   275 Hp / 850 Nm with FIA restrictor.
    Transmission: 6-speed sequential gearbox
    Dampers: 8 x Reiger coilovers.
Wheels: 16” Comp.omotive Atacama Rally Raid wheels
Tyres: BF Goodrich Desert Race G series.
    Fuel Tank: 260 Litres.
    Length: 3.8 m.
    Width: 2.0 m.
    Height: 1.9 m.
    Wheel Base: 2.8 m.
    Weight: 1,900 Kg.

    Special features:
    CCV
(Corner Control Valve).  This is a Reiger patented system which detects whether you are on a straight or in a corner.  In a corner it makes the compression damping of the outer wheel stiffer so that you have less roll.  This allows you to run a softer anti-roll bar or even no anti roll bar because this system does take over a part of the anti-roll bar function.

RCV (Rebound Control Valve) This system is developed to gain more grip.  It detects if the wheels are on the ground or not.  If not, it softens the rebound damping so that the wheel drops quicker.

LCV (Lateral Control Valve) This Reiger-patented system detects, during compression, if this compression is caused by the wheel that is going up or the chassis that is going down.  If the chassis is going down, because for instance you jump into a hole, it further stiffens the compression damping.  This allows you to run a softer, more comfortable basic damper setup.

HPDP (Hydraulic Progressive Double Piston) This is a double piston system with a damper that has a speed-dependant characteristic.  On an impact with high damper speed, the double piston damping will be stiffer than with a low damper speed.  The double piston comes in earlier with a high damper speed than with a low damper speed.

  • Jaguar XJ_e Experimental Plug-in Hybrid

Jaguar-XJ_e-PHEV-THUMBJaguar XJ_e is an experimental plug-in hybrid which recently was announced to be the “Most Energy Efficient Luxury Car Prototype” and received the “Technical Panel’s Award of Merit”. In fact the vehicle uses only 1.2 liters of petrol and 11 kWh of electricity for over 63 mile course.

Jaguar XJ_e PHEV is a project part of the strategy of both Jaguar and Land Rover to develop best-in-class low-carbon premium products. To be more precise this vehicle utilise a specially developed 2-litre turbocharged engine coupled with a 69kW electric motor and a 12.3kWh lithium-ion battery.

This replaces the 5-litre V8 of the standard XJ. To go even further into details, the Jaguar XJ_e can achieve a range of about 25 miles in all-electric mode and a maximum electric mode top speed of 75mph. Performance estimates for the Jaguar XJ_e are fuel economy of 87 miles per gallon and a top speed of 150mph.

Here the tailpipe emissions are 75g/km and this means that the brand have achieved up to 70 per cent improvement compared to the standard XJ model. As a matter of fact experimental vehicles like the XJ_e Hybrids and electrification technologies are key elements of Jaguar Land Rover’s plan to reduce our carbon footprint.

  • SR Auto Range Rover Made Sharper with Vossen CV3

SR-Auto-Range-Rover-THUMBThis SR Auto Range Rover looks too good, doesn’t it? The leading motive here is “simplicity”. This helped the tuners from SR Auto to focus on selecting a strong wheel design. And they surely did it!

They have addopted one of their favorite designs from Vossen Wheels thus giving this Range Rover a classically modern twist. The simplicity of the five spokes is matched with an aggressive concave profile. In addition the matte graphite finish strikes make a direct contrast with the burning red Brembo calipers.

Furthermore this unique SUV comes with a V8 diesel engine fitted to an eight-speed transmission. Its 4.4 litre LR-TDV8 develops 313 hp (230 kW) and 700 Nm (517 lb-ft) of torque. The performance is more than satisfying – the acceleration sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is in just 7.5 seconds, and top speed is 130mph.

  • Style Icon: Kahn Range Rover Sport RS300 Vesuvius Edition

Kahn-Range-Rover-Sport-RS300-Vesuvius-Edition-THUMBKahn-Range-Rover-Sport-RS300-Vesuvius-Edition-01Kahn Range Rover Sport RS300 Vesuvius Edition is definitely going to be a style icon one day. The seductive proportions of this santorini black metallic combined with the Vesuvius orange beauty effect in an elegant vehicle which screams for attention.

To go further into details, the exterior package here is aerodynamically efficient exterior and consists of a lower front bumper lip extension, RS- front grille with 3D mesh, brake calipers finished in Vesuvius orange, RS vented front wheel arches with integrated front air dams, grille insert in Vesuvius orange, exhaust side vents in matte pearl grey & body colour, Kahn enamel wing shields, front wheel arch LED light strips, painted floating roof and bonnet stripe, door handles in matte grey and Kahn branding.

What is more important however, is what stays under the hood of this Range Rover Sport. There can be found the 3.0 SDV6 engine which generates 256 hp (188 kW) at 4,000rpm coupled with 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) at 2,000rpm (torque).

This means that the vehicle is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.4 seconds. Furthermore, the engine is mated to the new ZF 8HP70 eight-speed automatic gearbox, offering silky shifts and improved fuel economy. In addition, Kahn’s cross hair exhausts in stainless steel is also featured here. In fact, it reflects an attraction to a pluto-matic lifestyle.

Of course, this Rover couldn’t go without the necessary interior enhancements, which are another unique feature of this model. In details, it has been upgraded to a magnificent level with a RS Vesuvius style diamond quilted and perforated black leather interior with Vesuvius orange trim, diamond gear selector, interior facia trim pieces, Kahn Vesuvius speedo, vented foot pedals in machined aluminium, centre glove box – diamond quilt with carbon stripe, Kahn illuminated door entry sill plates in stainless steel, Kahn Vesuvius orange time clock, privacy tinted glass, seat logos, clock bezel surround finished with Swarovski diamonds, door panel tops in quilted and perforated leather with orange stitching, Kahn Vesuvius orange rev counter, Leather quilted binnacle and rear tailgate centre trim 3D carbon finish.

What is left is the wheel-tyre combination. The vehicle runs on Kahn’s RS Black wheels with orange pinstripe in sizes 9.5 x 22 inches at the front and 10.5 x 22 inches at the rear. Thanks to their simple and clean lines, soft organic surfaces on the edge of the spoke and a purposeful mechanical centre, the RS600 wheels are synonymous with elegance and innovation.

  • Kahn Range Rover Copper Metallic RS 600

Kahn-Range-Rover-Copper-Metallic-RS-600-THUMBKahn Range Rover Copper Metallic RS 600 is a 5.0-litre supercharged machine which was enhanced by the unsurpassable tuning team Kahn Design. The Range Rover got a visual improvement and boost in power. Now the car can achieve an amazing 0-60 mph in just 4.5 seconds.

Of course, the result is outstanding – the vehicle shows high performance and at the same time delivers driving excitement! In fact, every single detail of this Rover harks back to the pioneering spirit of the British motoring industry.

The first thing that grabs the attention here is the rare copper metallic color treatment that the car received. Its inherent elongated silhouette is now equipped with the RS600 styling package.

The latter consists of a rear diffuser in body colour, RS extended large upper roof wing, RS front grille surround insert in body colour, RS Front grille with 3D mesh, RS Quad oval exhaust system, RS vented front and rear wheel arches with integrated front air dams, RS vented rear, side vents in body colour, brake calipers finished in copper, LED day time running lights for front wheel arches, door handles in body colour, privacy tinted glass, door mirrors in body colour and Kahn enamel wing shields: exuding style and sophistication.

Furthermore, the additional enhancement done in terms of power has been delivered by Cosworth. The engine improvements consist of an arrangement of alterations to the supercharger and ECU programming. This eventually results in boost in power from 500 – to 555 hp (368 – 408 kW).

However, what matters probably the most are the changes applied to the torque. In fact, they have the greatest effect with 813 Nm (600lb-ft) of torque on offer. This of course delivers sportier and more thrilling driving experience.

In addition, this also gives noticeably more precise control of the wheels and the car as a whole. With improved interaction between the tyres and the intelligent all-wheel drive system, the RS600 Cosworth offers perfect handling.

Let’s review the interior, which we are sure it’s great, being under the crafty hand of the specialists of Kahn Design. The ‘bespoke touch’ applied here comes with a diamond quilted centre glove box, centre console in carbon fibre, clock bezel surround finished with Swarovski Diamonds, vented foot pedals in machined aluminum, front and rear seats quilted and perforated in ivory leather with contrasting stitching, floor mats in a black charcoal finish, four quilted door panel tops, Interior facia trim in 3D Carbon Finish, Kahn Illuminated Door entry Sill Plates in Stainless Steel, Kahn orange rev counter, Kahn orange speedo, Kahn time clock and facia insert.

SR-Auto-Range-Rover-THUMBThis SR Auto Range Rover is a unique SUV which comes with a V8 diesel engine fitted with 8-speed transmission. Its 4.4 litre LR-TDV8 develops 313 hp and 700 Nm of torque. The performance is more than satisfying – 0-60mph in 7.5 seconds, 50-70mph in just 4.0 seconds and top speed of 130mph.

However, what makes it even more perfect is the customization made by SR Auto. In the opinion of the team, proportion is the comparative relation between things or magnitudes as to size. Hence, the proportion of the wheels is a direct reflection of the cars stature.

For that reason this Land Rover model was equipped with a set of 24 inch wheels. This Range Rover includes large chiseled lines crossing from the front to the back.

What this means is that the proportion of the large panels perfectly combine with the 24 inch Agetro C100′s. This results in an improved overall feeling of the strong and aggressive presence of the vehicle, doesn’t it?

  • 2013 Range Rover Brings New Levels of Luxury and Refinement

2013-Range-Rover-THUMB2013 Range Rover is going to bring new levels of luxury and refinement too the automotive world. It is now lighter, stronger and has so many modifications which lead to improvement of the driving experience.

This is the fourth generation of the emblematic vehicle and in fact it has been developed from the ground up, combining the innovative spirit and iconic design of the original model. For example, could you believe that this Rover is almost 40 percent lighter than its predecessor?

This is due to its revolutionary lightweight all-aluminium monocoque body structure. In other words, or to be more precise – in numbers, this means that there are total vehicle weight savings of up to 420kg. Furthermore, the reduced weight has brought about significant improvements in performance, agility, fuel economy and CO2 emissions.

What the designers have added to the strong and rigid lightweight body is aluminum front and rear chassis architecture. It has been created with entirely re-engineered four-corner air suspension.

Moreover, the vehicle’s handling and agility have been greatly enhanced. The new suspension architecture for instance now offers flatter and more confident cornering, with natural and intuitive steering feel.

This new Range Rover still preserves the iconic exterior design. However, some of the design cues received fresh interpretation and thus becomes the most refined Range Rover ever.

Amongst the industry-leading innovations included is the next-generation version of Land Rover’s Terrain Response® system, which analyses the current driving conditions and automatically selects the most suitable vehicle settings for the terrain.

There of course have been modifications made to the interior as well. Within the cabin, the all-new Rover delivers serene isolation and experience of luxury. For instance, what contributes to the reduced noise levels are the rigorously optimized body structure and acoustic lamination of the windscreen and side door glass.

On the other hand the luxurious interior has received a modern take on Range Rover design cues. Clean and elegant surfaces are flawlessly presented using the finest leathers and veneers. In addition, rear passengers will have additional 118mm of legroom.

More importantly, the engine range included in this line up is the following: a refined supercharged V8 petrol engine, TDV6 and TDV8 diesel engines. They all combine responsive performance with outstanding CO2 emissions.

Further technical specification and pricing will be released in early September ahead of the Paris Motor Show.
