  • DMC Finds Simplicity with the new Lamborghini Huracan [w/video]

DMC Lamborghini Huracan Simplicity front viewThe newest project of the tuning experts at DMC is called Simplicity. And this of course is for a reason. Based on the Lamborghini Huracan LP610, this supercar instead of being equipped with a full aerodynamic custom made kit, features only two parts of the package. But just like the vehicles that wear the complete DMC kit, especially the Limited Editions, this “partially” tuned Lambo looks just as great.

The model depicted on the photos, which you can see in or gallery below, wears only DMC’s rear wing and base spoiler. The success of the tuning is that the styling of the Huracan has been kept and stays in harmony with the factory design. So to say, the beauty of this project comes with the innocence of this creation.

In fact, the wing hardly seems to be made by an aftermarket company, because it looks so integrated, that one could say that it looks like coming straight from the factory. This means that DMC are able to come up with a timeless design, which merges with the car seamlessly.

If you ask about the wing, well, we must highlight that it is German TUV certified and can be adjusted in three different aerodynamic angles: GT-, Cruise- and Fun-Mode. Now you get the idea behind the name “Simplicity”, don’t you?

At last, we want to show you a short video of DMC’s booth at the Geneva Car Show. It contains close up scenes of client’s inspecting the company’s LP610 Huracan Wing Spoiler Jeddah Edition, and it is worth the watch!

  • Lamborghini Team Brings 1971 Miura SV to Previous Glory

1971 Lamborghini Miura SVThe one and only Lamborghini Miura SV, presented at the Geneva Motor Show back in 1971 has underwent elaborate restoration that lasted for more than a year. The vehicle with chassis #4846 was the pre-production model for the Miura SV production unit and is still considered as one of the most interesting and special Lamborghini models up to this date.

The full restoration was made by Lamborghini PoloStorico and now we get the chance to see the beauty in its full glory. Shown in metallic green Verce Metallizata finish with tan leather, the restoration of #4846 included restrip of the chassis and engine. The engineering team used photos and some archived documentation in order to recreate the original lines and angles and following the original production sheet and records, every single component is restored to its authentic state. Expert Lamborghini craftsmanship and original parts have been used in the process: from body elements through drivetrain components to bodywork finish.

  • Lamborghini Makes Tribute to Aviation with Huracan LP 610-4 Avio

Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Avio Exterior Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Avio is debuting alongside the exclusive Centenario at the Geneva Motor Show this year. And unlike the latter (which will be produced in 40 examples that are already sold), the Avio will have a limited production run of up to 250 examples. The special edition is dedicated to the world of aviation and aeronautics, and this is absolutely understandable by supercar’s name, colors and materials used for its building.

SEE ALSO: Lamborghini Centenario Takes Minds and Hearts at the Geneva Motor Show

For the creation of this unique car, Lamborghini was inspired by powerful fighter jets. This is exactly from where it has borrowed the technological, aerodynamic and ergonomic, and stylistic know-how. For instance, there can be made references to the aeronautical world featured in Lamborghini’s current product line, including the following: digital instrument clusters, controls located on the center console, the red engine ‘start’ button, the tight stylistic language of exterior lines and more.

    The Exterior

Avio can be ordered in five new colors, which were specifically developed for it. The standard one is called Grigio Falco with pearlescent finish. The other four available finishes include the matt colors Blu Grifo, Grigio Nibbio, Grigio Vulcano and Verde Turbine. The names of the colors are taken from the coats-of-arms representing courses at the Italian Air Force Academy. If one wants to order another color, then he or she can reach the Lamborghini’s Ad Personam customization program, which allows owners to choose from further color and trim options.

Regardless of the exterior color one chooses, the Avio will feature white or grey painted details contrasting the body paint scheme. For instance, these details adorn the tops of the side member, the side view mirrors and the lip on the front spoiler. In addition, there is a double stripe in white or grey, which runs along the roof and down the front bonnet. Signifying the special Avio edition are the L63 logos found on the door panels. Here L stands for Lamborghini and ’63 is the year the company was founded.

    The Inteiror

Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Avio Interior

The cabin is as exclusive as the exterior and it includes alternate black leather matched with a special black Alcantara with laser-engraved hexagonal motif. The material covers the central section of the seat, the armrest, the knee support and part of the door panel. White stitching contrasts the black interior scheme.

As on the door panels, the L63 logo can be seen embroidered (by hand) onto the sides of the seats. Another emphasis on the exclusivity of Avio is making the hand-enameled plate on the driver’s side window. This Huracán also offers a wide variety of premium functional features in its standard configuration including lifting system, cruise control and GPS.

    The Engine

Just like any other Lamborghini Huracán, the Avio is powered by the 610 HP 5.2 liter V10 engine matched to a 7-speed gearbox with double clutch. It runs on hybrid chassis in aluminum and carbon fiber, and has a power/weight ratio of only 2.33 kilograms per hp. This means only breathtaking performance: 0 to 100 km/h is covered in a mere 3.2 seconds, while the maximum speed is over 325 km/h.

  • Lamborghini Centenario Takes Minds and Hearts at the Geneva Motor Show

Lamborghini Centenario Front ViewLamborghini Centenario is making its world debut at 2016 Geneva Motor Show. It is a very special edition model, because it celebrates the centenary of founder Ferruccio Lamborghini’s birth. The supersports car is built in only 20 coupé and 20 roadster versions, but they have been all already sold. If you ask about the starting price: it is 1.75 million euros.

With a typical aerodynamic design for Lamborghini, the car also includes extending rear wing which provides more downforce at high speeds. More importantly, the introduction of rear-wheel steering delivers better agility and stability, while the innovative touchscreen provides connected infotainment, including internet browsing and Apple CarPlay.

SEE ALSO: O.CT Tuning Releases Wild Supercharged Kit for Lamborghini Huracan

    The Power

Centenario is powered by a V12 engine, which produces 770 hp and catapults the car from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, and from 0-300 km/h in 23.5 seconds. The top speed is more than 350 km/h. Deceleration is incredible with braking happening from 100 km/h to standstill achieved in 30 meters. The model is based on a carbon fiber monocoque and body, thus ensuring low weight of 1,520 kg and a weight to power ratio of just 1.97 kg/hp.

    The Design

    Lamborghini Centenario Rear View

The mono-body shape of the Centenario measures 4.924 m length and 1.143 m height. At the front there are large air scoops helping the air to go through the car’s front contributing to downforce on the front axle. In addition, the air flows through ducts within the front headlight casing and others in the sideskirts and around the wheel arches. The roof too includes air scoops.

Gloss carbon fibre defines the whole body of the Centenario, including the front bonnet, scissor door panels and roof line. The irregular wheel arches are a typical Lamborghini feature and they have been accented in matt carbon fibre, emphasizing the aerodynamic design of the car. The wheel arches conceal Pirelli PZero tyres, developed specifically for the model, that are fitted with exclusive 20″/21″ front/rear rims in forged and milled aluminium. Behind them the carbon ceramic brakes are finished with a central-locking wheel nut.

At the rear, we see an integrated rear, ‘Y’-shaped rear lights above it, and the already mentioned extendable rear wing.

    The Interior

    Lamborghini Centenario Interior

The cabin of each Centenario has been made according to client’s specification. However, there are some similarities including the sports seats made of lightweight carbon fiber, the new stitching that features on the length of the dashboard, steering wheel, sunvisors, rocker covers, and the new inner door panels made of carbon fiber and Alcantara.

Some important technologies need to be mentioned here since they are essential: satellite navigation, a high definition 10.1 inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, sophisticated telemetry function and two optional interior cameras.

At last, the 20 coupés and 20 roadsters named Lamborghini Centenario are going to be delivered from autumn 2016 and throughout 2017. And since all 40 Centenario have been already sold, Geneva Motor Show might be your only chance of seeing the model.

  • PREMIERE: Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2 is a Two-Wheel Drive Typhoon

Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2 Front and Side ViewLamborghini has just presented the Huracán LP 580-2. Believe it or not, this is a two-wheel drive version of the Huracán coupe that was specifically created for its unusual drive set-up. With its naturally aspirated V10 5.2 l engine, it puts out 580 hp (426 kW) to the rear axle. In addition, it is also 33 kg lighter than the four-wheel-drive version, weighing a total of 1,389 kg.

The weight distribution is 40% at the front / 60% at the rear, thus reducing the inertia on the front axle. In addition, the car-maker has changed a little bit the suspension, added a new steering set-up and recalibrated the stability and traction controls. There are also three selectable Lamborghini driving modes, namely the STRADA, SPORT and CORSA. They have been also modified to deliver over-steering characteristics that highlight the special driving mode.

    Different Design?

The Italian company also says that the Huracán LP 580-2 is very different from the four wheel drive version. Let’s check the details to find out why. First, the front and rear have been redesigned. Every detail emphasizes an aesthetic function combined with aerodynamic purposes. The new front air intakes direct the cooling air and headwind to optimize the down pressure on the front axle.

SEE ALSO: DMC Shows Winged Huracan LP610 Cairo Edition

Furthermore, the spoiler lip at the back works together with the rising diffuser, improving the airflow at the rear. There is more: the Huracán LP 580-2 now sits on new 19-inch Kari rims fitted with Pirelli PZero tyres.

    Let’s Talk in Numbers

Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2 Rear View

Huracán’s V10 5.2 l naturally aspirated, mid-mounted engine has also been reengineered to fit the new car. As mentioned it produces 580 hp (426 kW) and 540 Nm of torque. Despite these numbers the fuel consumption is not that big. It has been estimated at 11.9 l per 100 km on the combined circle, while the CO2 emissions are as low as 278 g/km.

Maybe the weight savings play a significant part here. Huracán LP 580-2 achieves a weight to power ratio of just 2.4 kg/hp! And this is because it uses hybrid aluminum and carbon fiber chassis that lower the weight. In addition, the torsional stiffness of the supercar is improved by 50% compared to the Gallardo LP 550-2.

We haven’t said anything about the transmission. This Lambo uses a Lamborghini Doppia Frizione (LDF) seven-speed dual clutch gearshift. It makes sure that the driver changes the gears faster than ever before. As an option, the automaker is offering Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS) which improves car’s agility and controllability.

Lamborghini Piattaforma Inerziale (LPI) is a sensor system placed in the center of gravity of the car. It traces 3D movements and provides real time information to the optional Magneto Rheological Suspension (MRS).

Which One to Chose and How Much to Prepare?

The LP 580-2 will be available in every Huracán external and internal trim as well as with the Ad Personam program. The supercar will be available at dealerships with a starting price of 150.000 euros.

    Wheels & Tires

Lamborghini Huracan LP610 Cairo Edition Rear View

To make it even more attractive, the Middle East division of DMC decided to change the wheels of the Huracan. Hence they also needed to add new tires for the bigger alloys they intended to add.

As a result, the LP610 Cairo Edition runs on forged wheels in a 20″/21″ setup. By the way they are the widest sets in the market so far. To go into details, the front got a technical set up of 20×8,5-inch, wile the rear then showcases specification of 21×12-inch.

A proper set of tires is necessary, meaning that this DMC is using a 245/30r20 and 325/25r21 tire combination. Softer P-Zero application is possible as well.

  • Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Gets Numerous Updates for MY2016

Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Front ViewLamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 has received a facelift for 2016 model year that focuses on lower fuel consumption and emissions, more luxury and even better drivability. After the Huracan was successfully introduced to the market in 2014, Lamborghini obviously thinks that it is time to update it. The good news is that despite the applied changes, there is no difference in the price. It remains 169.500 Euros.

Both the Huracán coupé and Spyder variants will include as a standard cylinder deactivation to boost engine efficiency. This is the first time when a function like this is applied to a naturally aspirated V10 engine. How does it work? If the engine’s full capacity is not required, five of the ten cylinders are temporarily deactivated by switching off one cylinder bank. When acceleration is demanded, the system switches back to ten-cylinder mode. The result is reduced fuel consumption and CO2 minimized to 283 g/km.

  • Vorsteiner Novara Huracan Promises to Bring the New Era of Tuning

Vorsteiner Novara Huracan Front ViewVorsteiner Novara Huracan has been teased yesterday and it is currently debuting at the SEMA show. The car looks simply amazing with its royal color, aero components and unique wheels. By the way, Vorsteiner said that this car will mark the beginning of a new era.

    Controlled Design vs Balanced Aerodynamics

The Novara is based on the Lamborghini Huracan, which is already a spectacular car. And the best thing about this project is that it has the exquisite design as well as the balanced aerodynamics. How was this achieved?

SEE ALSO: Vorsteiner Novara Huracan is Ready for SEMA Reveal

To answer this question we have to get introduced to what the aero program comprises of. Precisely, the kit includes front fascia with integrated front spoiler, ventilated front fenders, side sill extension blades, rear bumper with an integrated rear diffuser and fixed rear wing. All components are made of carbon fiber. But let’s look in details.

Front Fascia with Improved Cooling, Aerodynamics & Performance

    Vorsteiner Novara Huracan Front fascia

We can undoubtedly say that the front of the Novara Huracan is absolutely distinctive an aggressive. This was achieved with the addition of a brand new carbon fiber front bumper with an integrated front spoiler. Besides the visual effect, these parts also provide better airflow and increased cooling.

For instance, the now larger air intake openings allow a higher volume of air to be utilized along with a set of angular blades that channel the air towards the radiators. As a result engine’s fluids cool even under the most demanding high-performance driving conditions.

And did you see the added honeycomb mesh grills made out of ABS plastic? This components not only gives the a great overall look to the front of the Lambo, but also delivers protection against a wide variety of debris found on the road for the radiator. It also provides completely unrestricted airflow.

    Fluid Side Architecture

The inlet openings in the front fenders are part of an aero package which is specifically designed for downforce. Due to the addition of air flow created by the spinning wheels, the ventilated front fenders exit air out and push down on the vehicle, thus allowing better aerodynamics and performance.

Furthermore, the side sill blades have other function than just visual. They cut and direct the air flow from the front towards the rear of the vehicle. This also ensures the stability of the vehicle.

The Devil is in the Details

    Vorsteiner Novara Huracan Interior

One very cool detail is the bespoke steering wheel, made of carbon fiber with customized leather materials. The other is the in-house made stainless steel exhaust system, which provides additional improved throttle response, increased power and torque, as well as better sound note from the V10.

    Rear End

The rear end of the car is all about supreme aerodynamics and… art. Just take a look at the motorsport inspired rear bumper made of carbon fiber and exuding aggressiveness. In addition, the tail of the car includes three trapezoidal openings on the top for improved heat dissipation and better engine cooling for the powertrain and exhaust. In addition, the rear openings are protected by a honeycomb mesh carried over from the front end.

Probably the most gorgeous part of this tuning is the rear wing. It is an integral part of the Novara aerodynamic package and air flow dynamics. Of course, it is also made out of pure carbon fiber.

    Flow Forged Wheels

Vorsteiner Novara Huracan Rear End and Wheels

The Vorsteiner Novara Huracan runs on nothing less than a 20-inch Vorsteiner V-FF 105 Flow Forged wheels. Lightweight and strong, these wheels are matched with Pirelli tires in two colors and hide red Brembo brakes.

If you happen to be in Las Vegas this week, you should go visit the SEMA Show and Vorsteiner’s booth #46199. There you will have the chance of seeing the Vorsteiner Novara Huracan.

  • Vorsteiner Novara Huracan is Ready for SEMA Reveal

Vorsteiner Novara Huracan Side ViewVorsteiner Novara Huracan is one of the biggest stars you will have the chance to see at the highly anticipated SEMA Show this year. Equipped with a special aero program, this supercar is expected to take the event by storm. The official debut will happen tomorrow, November 3rd at the lower south hall, booth #46199, at 2pm PST.

There is no official information released, but we did manage to download two pictures from Vorsteiner’s official facebook, and what we see is pretty amazing. The individual parts featured here include a brand new and aggressive front bumper with extra air vents, bigger front grille, sides adorned by new skirts featuring vertical fins and of course – restyled rear bumper.

SEE ALSO: Contrast is Everywhere. Including Vorsteiner BMW M3 E92

    Vorsteiner Novara Huracan Rear View

You can not go without spotting the rear wing, too, nor the crazy gloss-black five-spoke wheels wrapped in low profiles. By the way, it is obvious that the tires are made by Pirelli and feature aggressive red strip. They also cover red brake calipers. We do not doubt that all additional parts are made of carbon fiber.

Although the Lambo Huracan is innately strong, there is possible engine uprating coming. We will make sure of that tomorrow, when the Novara project debuts. As a reminder, the standard Huracan is powered by the potent V10 5.2 liter naturally aspirated engine, which generates no less than 602 HP (449 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque. Therefore it is no wonder why it can cover the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 3.2 seconds on its way to a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph).

  • xXx Performance Creates 690HP Lamborghini Huracán

xXx Performance Lamborghini Huracán Front and Side viewxXx Performance Lamborghini Huracan is an example how an Italian sports car can be finessed in Germany so well that it eventually got better. The “Hurricane” character of this Lambo model is supported by the potent 5.2-liter V10 engine, which dispenses 610 hp (449 kW) to all four wheels through the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. But the figure did not speak to the hearts of the tuners from Germany. So this was the reason they decided to improve the power output of the Italian bull.

    Engine Uprating

The V10 powering the Huracan was upgraded via new air intake, a sound flap control stainless steel sport exhaust to reduce backpressure and an ECU remap. The result? The unit now porduces 690 hp (507 lkW) and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque. Isn’t that nice?

    Attractive Exterior

xXx Performance Lamborghini Huracán Side View

After the tuning of the powerplant, we can surely say that the Lamborghini will move more rapidly than ever. And all you will catch is a green flash as it blows by. Why green? Because the experts did use Chrome Lime Matt foil body wrap applied to car’s lines, which further emphasize its untamed character.

The unique bright body colour has been perfectly complemented by the attractive Oxforged 4 one-piece forged alloy wheels delivered by OXIGIN. They come in sizes 9×20 and 12.5×21 inch and are coupled with 245/30R20 and 325/25R21 low profile tyres, at the front and rear respectively. Their milled front polish finish adds to their one-off appearance.

Finally, the tuner decided to lower the car even more and this has happened by the means of H&R lowering springs set. It helps the car get closer to the ground by 25 mm.
