  • The Beast in White: DMC’s challenge towards street racers

2016 DMC Lamborghini LP610Since its early years, DMC team has become a sort of symbol for luxury and refinement. And since these glorious early days this tendency hasn’t changed. The proof? This super-hot recently unveiled LP610 machine. Looking sexy and confident, it caught our eye. Here’s why.

    2016 DMC Lamborghini LP610

The lucky Lambo is geared with special aero kit that brings numerous stylish changes and additions. Some of these include a neat wing spoiler, leading wing that can be adjusted in three ways, base deck under it, sweet side skirts that not only contribute to style, but also to improved downforce. They are created from dry carbon-fiber, just like the beautiful front lip spoiler. We like it.

The sides showcase large forged 20- and 21-inch wheels. These also mark the widest set that the team has used so far. The front has got a technical set up of 20×8,5J and the rear 21x12J. Also, brand fans and enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the vehicle is further geared with neat 245/30r20/325/25r21 tires.

    2016 DMC Lamborghini LP610

Also there are some customizable options. DMC design team will be pleased to customize the vehicle with rare leathers: Ostrich and Stingray and carbon-fiber components that would completely match the personality of each client. Cool.

  • Remembering the good ol’ time? Why not living it again?

1964 Lamborghini 350 GTLamborghini 350 GT, a legendary vehicle and a well-known classic to all automobile enthusiasts has undergone a special one-year full restoration done by Lamborghini PoloStorico and has even made its first track race in years!

This 350 GT chassis #0121 has been restored to its previous glory and now contains only original parts and authentic building schemes. It took about 1150 hours for recreating the body and about 780 hours to deal with the mechanical and electrical functions. Definitely an inspiring project, this one deserves more attention.

    1964 Lamborghini 350 GT

The revised vehicle was delivered to the current owner, who wanted to test his old new machine on a special racetrack. And this is how the 350 GT drove its first 80 kilometers and scored not only perfect results, but also showcased impeccable overall performance. This test drive revealed vehicle’s balanced power distribution, smooth gear shifts, responsive braking and of course, neat handling.

    1964 Lamborghini 350 GT

The restoration process includes original chassis and body panels that were returned to original geometry, revising the whole drivetrain system in order to ensure smooth and responsive ride. Further tweaks were made on the interior that is dominated by black leather and blends with many original components as accelerator, brake pedals, steering wood and more.

Furthermore, the body finish was changed with white paint, but the interesting thing is that the design team used special original nitroacrylic formula and techiques: there were applied a total of 22 layers with wet sanding by hand between each layer. This technique results on additional elegance and accents on vehicle’s lines and curves. Also, the original rims were restored and fitted with Pirelli Cinturato 205/15 tires. Just as the original ones.

    1964 Lamborghini 350 GT

And what about the drivetrain system? The 350 GT is geared with a 12-cylinder aluminum alloy power unit that produces a total of 270hp (201kW) and is paired to a five-speed ZF transmission system that delivers torque and horsepower to all the four wheels. Furthermore, the overall smoothness and responsiveness of the ride was achieved thanks to the special and fine-tuned suspension system and Girling brakes.

    1964 Lamborghini 350 GT

And in case you have missed, this 350 GT model was first revealed at the 1964 Geneva Auto Show and showcased Lamborghini’s intentions towards future. We already know the rest of the story, right?

  • Californian debut for passionate Lamborghini Centenario Roadster

    Lamborghini Centenario Roadster front view

The seductive limited edition supersports car sold out months before official debut

Centenario Roadster has been finally revealed at “The Quail” during the weekend. There were no general surprises and the car is exactly what we have expected: an open top variant of the sensational coupe version. Just like the latter, the production of the roadster is also limited to 20 units, which have been already sold out, each priced at 1.75 million euros.

Both the coupe and the open-top variant are honoring the centenary of its founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini. These special commemorative series express at an ultimate level the freedom given to the designers in their task to create an open design with progressive characteristics. The essence of their work can be expressed with the motto “form follows function”, which is core to brand’s iconic DNA.

    Design

    Lamborghini Centenario Roadster rear view

With clean forms and mono-body shape, made entirely from carbon fiber, the roadster is dressed in a special matte silver exterior paint finish, “Argento Centenario”, which further accentuates the curvaceous profile.

SEE ALSO: Lamborghini to debut unique Centenario Roadster at The Quail tomorrow

Lamborghini said that one of the core values of this car is that it features enhanced aerodynamic design, because of its extended rear wing and the mandatory rear-wheel steering. Hence there is more agility and stability at hand. Note that with a dry weight of just 1,570 kg (3,461 lbs), the Centenario achieves a weight-to-power ratio of 2.04 kg/hp.

Advanced aerodynamics are very important especially when it comes to open-top cars, so that the turbulence and air recirculation for the cabin passengers to be at its minimum. This optimal design and function is achieved with the implementation in the rear wall, in the back of the headrest.

Centenario runs on Pirelli PZero tyres, which were specifically developed for rear-wheel steering, and are coupled with 20”/21” front/rear forged rims. Even the spokes’ fan shape is accented in carbon fiber! An integrated rear diffuser defines the back of the car, and it is accompanied by the ‘Y’- shaped LED lights that stretch the full width of the rear.

On the inside, this Lambo features a luxurious cabin in light brown Alcantara Terra di California with Bianco Polar leather inlets. There is decorative stitching and piping and detailed cross-stitching on the seats, dashboard and rocker cover. The company has included new fully connected infotainment and innovative 10.1 inch touchscreen system that allows fast internet browsing and featuring Apple CarPlay.

    Lamborghini Centenario Roadster interior

    Power and performance

The V12 driving the Lambo is actually the most powerful engine produced by Lamborghini up to date. It produces 770 hp (566 kW) from 8,350 rpm to 8,600 rpm, which is enough to make the roadster accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in mere 2.9 seconds. The top speed is over 350 km/h. But more impressive is the braking capability of Centenario: from 100 the 0 km/h the car needs just 31m (102 feet) to fully stop.

Lamborghini’s new rear-wheel steering system dominates the model. It actually strengthens the three driving modes: Strada, Sport and Corsa, and in particular – the lateral dynamics. Maximum responsiveness and driver feedback is provided by Lamborghini’s magneto rheological suspension and Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS). Faster gear shifting is ensured by the Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) gearbox.

At last, the Italian supercar brand announced that it will continue its strategy of producing one-off cars and exclusive limited editions like this one. So, what’s next Lamborghini?

  • EXCLUSIVE: Lamborghini to debut unique Centenario Roadster at The Quail tomorrow

Lamborghini Centenario Roadster by X-TOMI Design

Supercar company celebrates the Miura 50th Anniversary

It could be disputable, but probably the invention of the “Modern Supercar” is an acquisition of Lamborghini. It happened 50 years ago with the introduction of the legendary Miura at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show, which is acclaimed to be one of the most beautiful car ever created. Despite you agree on this fact or not, the brand is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the model and it makes that with a very special premiere tomorrow.

The Italian supercar automaker will make a world premiere of the Centenario Roadster at The Quail tomorrow. Then, it will show the car at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 21st. Lamborghini is keeping the details scarce and didn’t wish to provide any image (even a teaser) to spice up the public.

SEE ALSO: Lamborghini Centenario Takes Minds and Hearts at the Geneva Motor Show

However, the official data disclosed says that company’s newest super sports car will produce 770 horsepower, which is not a surprise, because it is nothing different from the Coupe variant. Just like the latter, the body and structure of the Roadster variant will be made entirely from carbon fiber. There is another similarity and it is the top speed, which is 350 km/h (217 mph). Since the Centenario Coupe is covering the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, we expect the Roadster to be a little bit slower.

There are exactly 40 Centenarios produced: 20 Coupes and 20 Roadsters, but unfortunately, they have been already sold out. Each has a price tag around $2 million dollars.Although we didn’t receive any image of the car, we found a great rendering made by the talented X-Tomi Design. Check out his page for more inspiring designs.

  • This Huracan Final Edition sets new standards among bespoke rivals

VOS Performance Lamborghini Huracan Final Edition front view

VOS Performance offers high-end tuning for the iconic Lamborghini Huracan

In 2015 we witnessed the birth of VOS Performance’s bespoke conversion for the Lamborghini Huracán, which captured our hearts entirely. What made this tuning so special is that the creators have based their ideas on the motto “Think outside the box”. As a result, the experts at VOS considered a rather “holistic approach” to the customization, thus offering for the Huracán an extravagant individuality combined with exclusive craftsmanship.

Now, the creative minds at VOS Performance have put out a brand new version of the standard Lamborghini Huracán called “Final Edition”. Here, the approach they took in the transformation is to blend aesthetics and engineering.

SEE ALSO: Meet this Custom Carbon Lamborghini Huracan by VOS

At the front, the new carbon-fiber spoiler lip has been subtly changed but still it is a totally functional component that blends in with the lines of the car. In contrast, the large carbon-fiber rear lower diffuser and the two different designs for the carbon-fiber rear wing offer a sporty and aggressive take on the standard back end.

VOS Performance Lamborghini Huracan Final Edition rear view

By the way, the factory rear spoiler has been locked down, thus superseding its function providing positive downforce required for unerring high-speed stability in a straight line and in fast sweepers. Next to the aerodynamic optimization VOS Performance has prepared for the Lambo a high-performance sports spring set, which lowers its ride height by 35mm.

Leaving the exterior aside, Huracan’s interior is stylishly adorned with carbon fiber elements on the door panels, centre console, air vents and paddle shifters. In other words, VOS Performance Lamborghini Huracán Final Edition is a project finished in its totality. Tuners did not make any sacrifices on the interior, and this is why we dig this project very much.

DMC Lamborghini Huracan LP610 Cairo Edition front view

Features new design wrap as well as aggressive DMC Carbon Fiber package

It is all about luxury when it comes to Lamborghini. Besides the speed, of course. But the most controversial fact is that the Lambo owners always want more luxury, more speed and more… in general. Hence, companies such as DMC have been emerging and offering what is being looked for. The Lamborghini Huracan LP610 you see in the gallery and video below is a special Cairo Edition made by DMC. It has been spotted in Hong Kong, where immediately grabbed the attention with its unique design pattern on top, the carbon pack and the aerodynamic parts.

The wrap just perfectly complements the aero kit, which is actually the main attraction of this project. One of the most important elements of this kit is the wing spoiler, which is also adjustable to three angle settings: Choose City Cruising, GT Track day or Fun Mode. They are all made by DMC and then tested in the wind tunnel. In addition, the wing comes with a base deck under it. It is the stronger version of the original part that each LP610 has.

Up front, DMC have added a stunning full front lip spoiler with side flaps, which actually reminds us of the aggressive LP720 Anniversario look. On the sides, the kit continues with new side skirts, which add extra downforce, while the rear diffuser at the tail supports road stability even better. It features front lip, which is more of a cosmetic addition, but really makes this new package stand out.

The forged wheels this Lambo runs on come in 20″/21″ and they are fitted with 245/30r20 / 325/25r21 P-Zero tires.

Lamborghini has just unveiled a very special edition of the Aventador coupe, called Miura Homage. As the name suggests, it pays tribute to the Miura, which has been regarded “the forerunner of all V12 Lamborghini super sports cars”. The car is also revealed in the year of celebrations for the Italian brand, which makes 50th anniversary on the automotive stage.

In details, the Aventador Miura Homage has been created by the Lamborghini’s Ad Personam studio. As you can expect, it features the colors as well as the specifications of original Miura models. The exterior paint scheme features contrasting upper and lower body colors. The original Miura was offered in wide range of colors and trims, but in the case of the tribute car Lambo has selected six of the most iconic solid and metallic hues, including the Rosso Arancio Miura, Verde Scandal and Blu Tahiti.

SEE ALSO: It is never too much when it comes to tuning. Especially when it is on Lamborghini Aventador

The 20”/21” Dione rims in either matt silver or gold continue the design homage, while the metallic Miura badge on the side and black Lamborghini logo on the rear as well as the limited edition plate on the inside, show the uniqueness and exclusivity of the model.

Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage interior view

Speaking of the interior, there are two internal color options, namely, full Nero Ade or Terra Emilia leather with tone-on-tone stitching and carbon fiber package. We can see that the Miura 50th logo has been stitched into the upper part of the seats in order to reflect the car’s livery.

When it comes to power, the Aventador Miura Homage is driven by the potent 6.5 l V12 unit. It generates exactly 700 hp at 8,250 rpm and delivers a maximum torque of 690 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The V12 assists this Lamborghini to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 350 Km/h (217 mph).

  • It is never too much when it comes to tuning. Especially when it is on Lamborghini Aventador

Vitesse AuDessus Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce front viewTuners are like story tellers. They pick a car, make it more beautiful, powerful and individual, and in this way they tell us a lot about the history of the owner, his or her personality and tastes. One of those miracle-working companies out there is Vitesse AuDessus. If you remember the Lambo all dressed in carbon – it was their work. If you don’t: there is a link below, just click on it and allow yourself to get informed.

So, the point is that Vitesse AuDessus has released two one-off tuning packages and three new wheel designs for the Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce in its Coupe and Roadster variant. As you can see from the pictures in the gallery below, the custom Lambos are very colorful and expressive.

SEE ALSO: Lamborghini Aventador, 458 Italia and LaFerrari Share Something in Common

The company is actually offering external body panel for both variants. The first pack, called Essentials Package includes the lower front bumper, side skirts, mirrors and rear diffuser. The only difference that the Extended Package (the second one) has is the carbon fiber hood. One of the most beneficial things here is that the parts come in glossy or matte finish, depending on customer’s wish.

Vitesse AuDessus Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce rear view

Vitesse AuDessus has also developed special lightweight carbon fiber wheels, which are available in various styles, namely: Veneno-inspired seven spoke, the Superveloce’s OEM-style wheel and several in-house, center lock designs. Compared to the other wheels on the market, these are around 25kg (50lbs) lighter, contributing for a faster and… sexier ride.

Every Vitesse AuDessus Lamborghini Aventador will be limited to 300 examples only. And this makes things very, very exclusive.

  • This is what happens when you take a Lamborghini for a mountain ride [w/video]

Jon Olsson Lamborghini Murcielago front viewLamborghini Murcielago is not the car that you would put to the extreme mountain conditions, isn’t it? Not if you are Jon Olsson. The professional free-skier has done what many might think heretical and the good news is that everything is captured in a 15-minutes long video (awesome!), which you can watch below.

Taking the heavily modified Lamborghini Murcielago on the top of a mountain wasn’t an easy task. Although Olsson is most of the time lucky in his crazy endeavors and is usually ending up “killing it”, this time the mountain refused to give the team any kind of hard snow to drive on. Eventually, they had to give up.

SEE ALSO: Jon Olsson is ready for Gumball 3000 with a fierce Audi RS6

Despite that the professional athlete thinks that this was a “huge failure”, the video and pictures from the adventure are worth to view, so that you can decide whether it is so. The best thing is that he is actually searching for new location to try this again.

Jon Olsson Lamborghini Murcielago side view

To make everything that you see in the video possible, team Overkill had to convert the Lambo in several ways. First, the all-wheel-drive supercar had to become with rear-wheel configuration. Then, Olsson added Mad Max wheels, fitted with extremely wide wheels on top of which he added spikes. At last, we should mention the heavy modification done on the 6.5-liter V12 engine (specifics aren’t available). Enjoy the video!

Wait a minute! Olsson’s brand new project Lamborghini Huracan is going to be revealed very soon. What we know so far is that it will wear more than just the military inspired foil-wrap and a roof box. Stay tuned!

  • Vorsteiner Lamborghini Huracan Novara is the new trend that you need to see

Vorsteiner Lamborghini Huracan Novara front view Vorsteiner is a tuning company which excites us with its every project. This time, they have worked with the famous Lamborghini Huracan, thus making it more special and well dressed. The changes are simple and do not include any intrusions to the engine unit.

Before jumping into the details, since the Lambo did not receive any engine treatment, it has kept its stock number. Namely, the production 5.2 liter V10 unit generates 610 hp (448 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque and is linked to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission that drives the four wheels. This allows the Huracan to cover the 0-100 km/h acceleration sprint in 3.2 seconds, and the 0-200 km/h in 9.9 seconds, running after a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph).

SEE ALSO: Vorsteiner Releases GT4-V Aero Kit for Porsche Cayman & Boxster

The here presented variant of the model is painted in Rosso Mars and sits on in-house made 20- and 21-inch V-FF 105 flow forged wheels. Pirelli P Zero tires are also necessary to complement the new alloys and they come in the dimensions of 245/30/20 up front and 325/25/21 at the rear.

    Novara Aero Program

Vorsteiner Lamborghini Huracan Novara rear view

Besides the new “shoes” the Lamborghini also received new “dress” in the form of aero parts. Precisely, the tuning kit comprises of a front bumper with front spoiler, ventilated front fenders, side sill blades, rear diffuser and aero wing. They undoubtedly do their part by making the Huracan more expressive in nature as well as in behavior.

Left to be mentioned is that Vorsteiner has sent us exclusive number of photos of this amazing project, which you can enjoy in the gallery below.
