  • Vorsteiner Lamborghini Aventador-V LP-740 With Exclusive New Photoshoot

2014-Vorsteiner-Lamborghini-Aventador-V-LP-740-THUMBToday’s project from Vorsteiner is something the tuners have shown us in Novwember last year, so it is not unfamiliar. We are speaking here about the Vorsteiner Lamborghini Aventador-V LP-740. However, what is new around it is that was the main star in a new photoshoot.

This Lamborghini, being in the hands of the successful tuners, has undergone some modifications and has received company’s Nero treatment. It has been equipped with the following: Active Aero Wing, Front Splitters, Rear Diffuser, Side Sill Extension Blades and Livery Kit.

To go further into details, the active aero rear wing works harmoniously with the factory active aero dynamics. It comprises of two-piece ultra rigid carbon fiber elements. Wing’s uprights are formed with a right angle kink and retract fully under the deck lid body panel. As an option Vorsteiner offers clear lacquer coating of the carbon fiber as well as a primered finish carbon fiber base deck lid.

Next, the left and front splitters are designed to work together and channel downforce under the bumper. They extend to intricate vertical floating fins along the side of the front bumper. An optional lower race lip spoiler attaches to splitters for additional support. In addition it also contributes for car’s more aggressive appearance, because it protrudes 5mm further forward. As another option, the tuning company also offers Carbon Fiber Aero Front Center Splitter, Carbon Fiber Grill Frames Front and Rear (4 PCS), Carbon Fiber Side Air Vent Trim (2 PCS) and Carbon Fiber Front Hood Trim (2 PCS).

Vorsteiner’s rear diffuser is made of carbon fiber and flawlessly fits with no loss of aerodynamic downforce or airflow. On the other hand, the side sill extension blades include vertical floating fin. This extension sits on the front wheels and controls airflow.

Aventador-V graphic livery kit comprises of center stripe for the hood, which include Vorsteiner’s emblematic “V” logo across the center. It is interesting here that it integrates the Lamborghini badge on edge. The graphic kit also includes adhesive stripes for the hood, engine bonnet and the roof. At last, the supersports car sits on Vorsteiner’s Forged monoblock wheels in sizes 20×9 at the front and 21×13 at the rear.

  • DMC Lamborghini Aventador LP988 Edizione GT [teaser]

DMC has released several teaser images of their latest project – Lamborghini Aventador LP988 Edizione GT.

The exterior boasts a carbon fiber front splitter, carbon fiber canards and a carbon fiber rear wing. There are also new side skirts, a huge rear diffuser and a new exhaust system delivering more power and reducing the weight.

Nothing is mentioned about the performance, but LP988 speaks only one – 988HP from the mighty 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, which originally produces 700HP (515 kW) and 690Nm (507 lb-ft). 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph). With the all additional power of almost 300HP, the Aventador LP988 Edizione GT will accelerate to 100 km/h in around 2.5 seconds and will hit speeds of more than 380 km/h (236 mph).

    Stay tuned!

  • DMC Teases Lamborghini Aventador Veneno

DMC-Luxury-Edizione-GT-teaser-shadowDMC-Luxury-Edizione-GT-teaser-mediumSmooth move, DMC. On the same day search engines around the world are buzzing with the reveal of the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4, you release your own bull. Well, kind of, because whatever you’re doing is not ready yet. Still, you went for the teaser option.

Apparently, the piece shown above suggests a Veneno, and whatever it turns out to be, its going to be called the DMC Edizione GT. The German-based company takes pride in its work on Lambos simply because they are really good at it. Ludicrous things like the Aventador Molto Veloce and the Aventador LP900 SV (Spezial Version) serve as a testament to that.

The stakes are high for this one. After all, when a Veneno is involved, nothing is off limits.

DMC promise more revelations soon. Excited?

  • The Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Is Out

    Lamborghini-Huracan-LP-610-4-shadowLamborghini-Huracan-LP-610-4-medium

This is big news! The Gallardo successor is officially out (sort of) and its called the Lamborghini Huracan – pronounced without the ‘h’. It is – of course – a name deriving from a fighting bull of the Spanish Conte de la Patilla breed. It was known for its audacious spirit and “strong sense of attack”.

The Huracan also has “LP 610-4” in its name, which, as you might have guessed, means 610 hp going to all fours. The engine is still true to the Lambo tradition of natural aspiration and countless cylinders. Well…10 cylinders anyway – 5.2-liters of them. The power peaks at 8,250 rpm while the maxium 560 Nm of torque is available at 6500 rpm.

A 7-speed dual clutch LDF transmission and a fully electronically controlled four-wheel drive system are responsible for the conversion of that power into mesmerising performance. Three modes of operation (STRADA, SPORT and CORSA) will decide the throttle and gearbox response, the sound quality, and the stability control and the AWD system behavior. Optionally, if you go plan on being really hardcore about it, you can get the “Lamborghini Dynamic Steering” variable steering ration system and magneto-rheologic (no idea) suspension damper control.

Because the whole car weighs no more than 1,422 kg (the chassis is a blend of aluminum and carbon fiber), the power-to-weight ratio is just 2.33 kilograms per horsepower. Ergo, the blistering acceleration of 3.2 seconds from 0 to 60 (0 to 120 takes 9.9 seconds). The lightweight structure also means less fuel. That, and some clever use of both direct and indirect injection and the presence of a Start & Stop module, all contribute to the Huracan’s Euro 6 grade. That’s 290 g/km of CO2 emissions and a fuel economy of around 12.5 liters per 100 km.

Inside, you get a 12.3 inch TFT instrument panel that has loads of information in store for you, but you won’t really have time for all of that, unless you want to end up in a hedge. On the outside, well… just look at it. It’s fresh and daring, and unique, yet still somehow Lamborghini. And last time we checked, “Lamborghini” is a dirty, dirty word.

More disclosure will be available on the 24th of December. Public première is expected to happen in March 2014, on the Geneva Motor Show.Lamborghini-Huracan-LP-610-4-medium-2

  • RevoZport Lamborghini Aventador LaMotta – 820HP and -80kg

RevoZport has revealed their latest project based on the super-powerful Lamborghini Aventador. The tuning specialists decided that the mighty Lambo is not powerful enough, that’s why they boosted the engine and put the car on a strict diet. The name of the project is LaMotta.

The 6.5 liter naturally-aspirated V12 is boosted to 820HP (603 kW), which is an increase of 120HP. The result is thanks to a new exhaust system made from Inconel and an ECU re-map.

What is more, the car lost 80 kg (176 lbs) thanks to a lot of new carbon fiber elements like the front hood (-3 kg), carbon seats covered in Alcantara, redesigned rear bumper and air tunnel as well as new side skirts and carbon fiber door panels.

Last, but not least RevoZport fitted the tuned Aventador with 20” front and 21” rear Klassen ID alloy wheels, which are 1.5kg lighter (each) than original ones.

  • Lamborghini Aventador LP700 Converted To Winter Edition

SR-Auto-Lamborghini-Aventador-LP700-Winter-Edition-THUMBPROJECT700 has been started with the aim to entirely be dedicated to winter. Thanks to the designers at SR Auto Group, a Lamborghini Aventador LP700 has been fully changed in order to survive the cold and slippery days.

First of all, the tuners began with the exterior modification of the car. They have installed a full carbon fiber PUR Aero kit. The latter accentuates the beautiful lines of the Aventador even more. And to keep the carbon shiny, they have applied a clear vinyl to protect it from the harmful affects of the salty roads.

The next step was to wrap the body of this Lamborghini in satin black vinyl for both aesthetic and protection purposes. What truly amazes here at first glance however, is the external storage compartment which can store all the gear needed for the perfect vacation.

This is where the designers added a custom made rear attachment which was created in such way that it pairs with an eight foot long Thule ski box. The box itself was then was wrapped in the same satin black vinyl.

The same “black” theme is continued even onto the wheels. SR Auto has added a set of factory flush PUR 4OUR wheels matched with Pirelli Sotto Zeros. The wheels include strong powder coated finish in order to withstand the winter months. At last, a suspension by PUR Basics was added. The lowering system dropped the vehicle to a fully functioning height.

SR Auto Lamborghini Aventador LP700 Winter Edition Details:

    • Wheels & Tires

  • Lamborghini Veneno Roadster On A Boat

    Lamborghini-Veneno-Roadster-Public-Debut-shadowLamborghini-Veneno-Roadster-Public-Debut-medium

Few things can match top the grandiose entrance arranged for the Bentley Continental GT a couple of years ago. This, however, really does takes the cake. It’s the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster… on an aircraft carrier… in Abu Dhabi.

That’s right, it’s the hypercar’s public debut. The atmosphere must have been thoroughly Italian and we are not looking simply at the Lambo. His Excellency Giorgio Starace, Italian Ambassador to the UAE and the Admiral of High Seas Forces, Paolo Treu were among the honarable guests being served by a renown chef. There was a catwalk (a 240 meter ship is the ideal place for a catwalk, isn’t it?) where fashion designer Giada Curti offered a tableau vivant of her creations with ten top models. Even footballer Fabio Cannavaro were among the first to sit in the Veneno. Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Lamborghini, commented on the event saying, “We are honored that Lamborghini was chosen to represent the Italian car industry in the UAE, as a perfect example of iconic Italian super sports cars, and that we have the opportunity to show the Veneno Roadster for the first time in Abu Dhabi. Lamborghini has an extremely strong following in the region for its super sports cars, with the Middle East one of our largest markets in the world.”

Lamborghini sure know how to target their audience. If anyone’s going to afford the 3.3 million Euro Veneno Roadster, it’s going to be someone who has an oil well in their backyard. No one of the nine people who will eventually get one will feel cheated, though. The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is not just a metal art piece. It’s not even metal. All of the exterior is CFRP. The insides of the carbon fiber monocoque too benefit from lightweight design – CarbonSkin is used to clad the entire cockpit, the seats are made from Lamborghini’s patented Forged Composite. As a result, the Veneno Roadster weighs 1,490 kilograms. That’s pretty impressive for an open-top.

Lamborghini say that every outlandish line of Veneno’s design follows function. In other words, aerodynamic efficiency akin to that of a racing prototype. There’s plenty of downforce while the drag is reduced to a minimum. Even the wheels have a specific shape that channels cooling air to the massive brakes.

All of this is good news for the engine compartment. The 6.5 twelve-cylinder powerplant can unleash all of it’s 750 hp in order to get you from 0 to 60 in just bellow 3 seconds. You will continue accelerating until the electronic limiter kicks in at 220 mph. No mechanical sympathy required – the ISR transmission with five modes, the permanent all-wheel drive and the pushrod suspension with horizontal sprint/damper units can all take the abuse.

  • End Of Production For The Iconic Lamborghini Gallardo

Last-Lamborghini-Gallardo-THUMBThe very last Lamborghini Gallardo has left the production line in the historic factory buildings of Sant’Agata Bolognese. The final model is a Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante colored in the red paint finish Rosso Mars and which is already destined for a private collector.

In fact, the Gallardo has been produced with a total of 14,022 units which makes it the most successful super sports cars. It is literally an icon of Italian design. The first Gallardo model appeared ten years ago at Geneva Motor Show in order to mark company’s 40th anniversary. The name of the Gallardo was inspired by the world of bullfighting. Gallardo was a bloodline of bulls known for its exceptional courage and undaunted nature.

Another interesting historical fact is that in the first four decades of the existence of Lamborghini, an average of just 250 vehicles were built per year. Since the appearance of Gallardo, the production grew to a whole new dimension with volumes of around 2,000 cars per year on average.

The first ever 2003 Gallardo mesmerized the public with its extreme design, phenomenal lightweight dynamics and outstanding quality, and also included amazing handling and safety provided by permanent all-wheel drive. Later in 2005, the Gallardo Spyder joined the lineup, followed by Gallardo Superleggera in 2007. The latter had reduced weight, thanks to the extensive utilization of carbon fiber components; it also delivered 530 hp (390 kw).

2008 marked the debut of the second generation Gallardo, that had a redesigned front and rear, a new engine with gasoline direct injection pushing out 560 hp (412 kW), and it carried the name LP 560-4. In the same year was the premiere of the second-generation Spyder as well.

Two years later was introduced the Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera with an increase in output to 570 hp (420 kW), as well as the open-top Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante. LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni limited edition and the LP 550-2 Spyder, featured a rearwheel drive and appealed to sports car fans.

The pinnacle of sporting performance among the total of 32 Gallardo variants was marked by the Super Trofeo Stradale and, finally – the Gallardo Squadra Corse, which boasts a dry weight of 1340 kilograms and has a power-toweight ratio of 2.35 kilograms per horsepower. This only means a breathtaking performance: the sportscar manages to cover the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration sprint in 3.4 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 320 km/h.

The Gallardo was sold in 45 countries. 2013 marks Automobili Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary, and also the last ever built Gallardo with car number 14,022. Since the company has found in 1963, almost half of all 30,000 Lamborghinis are Gallardos.

  • xXx-Performance Updates Lamborghini Gallardo

xXx-Performance-Lamborghini-Gallardo-THUMBLamborghini Gallardo is one of the most famous sportscars which almost everybody has dreamt driving due to its speed, looks and aggressive road-stance. Surprisingly, the Lamborghini is powered by V10 engine and not by a V12 one and has no gull-wing doors.

The tuning specialists at xXx-Performance took a 2005 Gallardo and reconstructed it in a complex manner. They have added traditional LSD gull-wing doors and done some optical tuning. The latter extends the width of the body.

Also new is the front apron in LP560 design as well as the rear apron and the massive side enlargements. In fact, xXx-Performance endowed the rear with original parts made of real carbon from. We are speaking here about the rear flap, rear wing or also the side view mirror.

The exterior of the beast now sports a more glaring color. Thanks to versatile foil wrapping, the external shell is now in black chrome with the shafts of the side skirt, the interior edges of the front air ducts and the roof edge gleaming in neon orange.

And if one thinks that to give a Gallardo air suspension is impossible, then they surely should be disappointed. For this purpose, the tuners have used G-ride air suspension in combination with the specially adapted and two-fold hardness adjustable KW damping. The system has an electronic level regulation with integrated self-regenerating air-drying.

To round-out the exterior credentials of this tuned sportscar, the xXx-Performance modifiers has given it new set of shoes: exclusive mbDesign KV1 Deep Concave rims in the wheel houses in the dimension 9×20 inches with 235/30R20 tires in front and 12×20 inches with 305/25R20 Hankook S1 Evo tires in the rear. The rims were endowed with black chrome finish.

But this is not all that has been done here. The V10 here has been slightly reworked and the unit now generates over 560 horsepower (442 kW). This was achieved via special carbon air-boxes of BMC and the optimization of the engine software.

Next to the engine upgrade the tuning company added sports exhaust system that is capable of being controlled through Bluetooth. Optionally xXx Performance offers menacing biturbo conversions for the Lamborghini V10 in three power stages from 850 to 1.200 hp.

At last, the interior of the Gallardo was also improved. It now includes exclusive leather fitting with white decorative stitching. There can be seen also top-stitched diamonds and embroidered xXx-logos.

  • DMC Lamborghini Aventador LP720 50th Anniversario by Jackson Moore

DMC-Lamborghini-Aventador-LP720-50th-Anniversario-by-Jackson-Moore-THUMB2014 Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50 Anniversario Edition was revealed in April and it was designed and built in order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the famous luxury sports car brand. Its design was almost perfect because it lacked something very typical for every sports vehicle – the wing.

The unique design of the body of the car definitely “screams” for a wing. The luxury tuners at DMC have a solution for this problem and have equipped the 50th Anniversarion with DMC‘s Molto Veloce spoiler, and then engaged the photographer Jackson Moore to make some stunning photoshoots of the vehicle.

Unquestionably DMC’s wing seems to magically achieve what the stock car was asking for, thus giving the production LP720-4 a complete look. However, the tuners did not make any particular modification regarding the performance, hence the supersports retains its production characteristics.

This Lamborghini is equipped with a 6.5-liter V12 engine and it is capable of producing a total of 710 hp (522 kW). This means an effortless acceleration time estimated at 2.9 seconds for the 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint. The top speed is 350km/h (218mph).
