  • Castrol EDGE Titanium Strong Blackout [video]

Castrol has released an awesome promotional video for its EDGE oil. The video clip features some awesome sport cars and world famous drivers.

The commercial features Ken Block with his specially-prepared Ford Fiesta, Audi Sport DTM driver Mike Rockenfeller – driving Audi R8, South African racing driver Adrian Zaugg behind the steering wheel of Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 and BMW factory driver Augusto Farfus with the all-new BMW M4. The combination is just superb and as you may suggest, the video clip is pretty awesome.

The four of them race around on a course lit by strobe lights and lasers. Still, some of the footage appears to be computer-generated, but the overall result is sensational.

For us, it is very interesting, how the advertising specialists decided to include BMW 4-Series M4, which compared to the other vehicles is a “normal” everyday vehicle. It also has least power of all – 431HP (317 kW) at 5,500RPM and 550Nm (406 lb-ft) at 1,850RPM from the 3.0 liter TwinPower Turbo Inline six-cylinder.

Still, it manages to keep up with the others and Mr. Farfus shows some incredible skills. 2014 BMW M4 Coupe is priced from $65,125 in the US and after that commercial, it will have even better success.

    Enjoy!

  • Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este [video]

Lamborghini exhibited a one-off 5-95 Zagato at last weekend’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Zagato is celebrating its 95th anniversary with a special project based on the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4. The car is commissioned by the collector – Albert Spiess.

The exterior features a lot of typical for Zagato styling cues such as double bubble roof, wind deflector as well as new side intakes, shortened chassis and a sense of energy through fluid and organic surfaces that recall an animal’s muscles as it is ready to leap forward. The volumes intersect each other and suggest a jump, as if the central part of the front is ahead of the fender. The rear volume has been slightly reduced introducing a “coda tronca” (truncated tail) to emphasize the perception of the leap.

    The engine remains untouched – a 5.2-liter V10 naturally aspirated engine – 570HP (419 kW) and 540Nm (397 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is connected to a 6-speed E-gear transmission. 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 10.4 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).

“We have chosen the Gallardo because it is the most sensational project in Lamborghini’s history. An extraordinary car, perfect in engineering terms, that has brought the image of ‘the Bull’ from a ‘cottage industry’ to a worldwide major industrial reality. The Gallardo production figures exceeded the whole Lamborghini production since its foundation.”, commented Andrea Zagato.

  • Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Polizia

The Italian State Police has received a brand new Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Polizia. The super-sport car comes with a number of modifications to be useful by the police officers.

Outside, the police Huracan can be immediately recognized by the enormous LED light bar and the traditional blue and white livery.

Some of the features include a “Proof Video Data System”, which uses a camera and computer to record any suspicious activity. Unfortunately for felons, the car has a removable display that can be used to show misdoing to them instantly. The special Huracan also has a gun holster, a police radio and a “Paletta” that advises motorists to pull over. There is also a defibrillator and a refrigeration system.

Otherwise, the Huracan LP610-4 is powered by a 5.2 liter V10 – 610HP (448 kW) and 560Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque. 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 9.9 seconds and a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph). The model also has an engine start/stop system which enables the car to average 12.5 L/100km (18.8 mpg US / 22.5 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 290 g/km. The engine is connected to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

It will be extremely tough to escape from a Huracan, especially if criminals do go off-road.

  • Lamborghini Permanently Displays Egoista At Brand’s Museum

Lmborghini-egoista-museum-THUMBLamborghini Egoista was unveiled last year at the gala Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary event. It is one of the most contemporary looking supercars ever created and it is clearly visible that the design of the car is inspired by the passion for innovation and alternative solutions. Egoista is developed by Walter De Silva, who is Head of Volkswagen Group Design. Of course, it became reality in order to pay tribute to the House of The Raging Bull’s 50th anniversary. This automotive gem is now becoming a permanent part of the prestigious collection in the Lamborghini Museum.

If you are not familiar already, this futuristic single-seater is one-off. This means that it now can be seen only in the museum. The supercar is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 engine which delivers 600 horsepower (441 kW).

Its exterior is a pure example of Lamborghini’s DNA, however – taken to a next and more extreme level. The look is distinguished by a muscular structure with alternating open and solid areas. At the sides, the profile suggests the stylized silhouette of a bull about to charge.

In addition, in the headlight system can be seen car’s aeronautical flair. This is evident also in the body made of carbon fiber and aluminum materials. The car has stealth-like capabilities; its exterior sports anti-glare windows with an orange hue, while in the cockpit the driver is insulated and protected from external elements.

In order to leave the vehicle, the driver must remove the steering wheel and leave it on the dashboard. Then they must open the dome by actuating an electronic control and climb out of the cockpit. Isn’t it just like what one must do in fighter jet aircrafts?

One year after it was introduced, the Lamborghini Egoista has returned to its home in Sant’Agata Bolognese. It will be a permanent exhibit in the museum but at first it will be shown in Lamborghini’s showroom.

  • TOP 10 Fastest Cars 2013 [part 2] – Trap Speed

3rd place is held by Nissan GT-R R35 Mk.1 Switzer R1K-X Goliath with 1,700 HP (1,250 kW). Oleg B. managed to scoop the bronze with 402.23 km/h (250 mph).

2nd place is for Leonid V. and his Lamborghini LP570-4 Superleggera Underground Racing R2 / Altechno with epic 2,005HP (1,474 kW). He crossed the finish line with 402.68 km/h (250 mph).

1st place is also for Leonid V. with Lamborghini Gallardo Nera Exelixis / GTR RT / ZOD / SPP / GTT / Altechno / Syvecs with 1,850HP (1,360 kW). The record for 2013 is 409.09 km/h (254 mph), which is just insane.

The time, which Leonid V. set with the Gallardo Nera Exelixis is almost unbeatable. He managed to cover 1 mile in 20.845 seconds, which means that the car accelerates 0-409 km/h in that time. The new Koenigsegg Agera One:1 is believed to do 0-400 km/h in 20.0 seconds, but we strongly doubt that. It is quite impossible.

A lot of improvements are expected for Nissan GT-Rs, which are still in it. We also expect to see twin-turbo version of Lamborghini Aventador and other interesting hyper cars.

    Stay tuned and enjoy!
