Infiniti Shows 2014 Bobby Unser Q60 Convertible

Infiniti will take part at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance between 7th and 9th of March. The company will share space at The Golf Club of Amelia Island at Summer Beach. More than 300 vintage, classic and historic racing vehicles will be shown at the event, including special classes of show cars that will highlight the 50th anniversary of McLaren Racing, the sports racing cars of Jochen Mass and special Offenhauser-powered race cars.

In order to pay homage to the Offenhauser-powered cars, Infiniti is going to present a special Bobby Unser 1968 Indy 500 race winning, as well as a specially designed vehicle that will celebrate racer’s success. We are speaking about the one-off Q60 Convertible, which will be driven by Bobby Unser himself.

Convertible’s design is inspired by the winning race car. This means that it will be reminiscent of the Rislone livery found on Unser’s Offenhauser-powered Eagle. Particularly, the special wrap includes a striking red, yellow, black and white design finished with the number three. The car will be displayed next to the 1968 Indy 500 race car.

What is more, at brand’s pavilion, visitors will be able to see a selection of vehicles such as 2014 Q70 luxury performance sedan, QX60 7-passenger luxury crossover, QX70 performance crossover, QX80 full-size luxury SUV and the new Q50 luxury sport sedan.

Infiniti To Bring Q50 Eau Rouge Concept To Geneva [VIDEO]

Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Concept was officially unveiled two months ago at the Detroit Auto Show as a design vision for a high-performance variant of the Q50 premium sports sedan. A month from the now luxury brand is going to preview the model to the European public, and of course the first to see it will be the visitors of the Geneva Motor Show.

In addition to this, Infiniti has also released a video, which slightly hints towards the idea that the car will get a new engine. You can view the video below and enjoy the sound of the powertrain. In fact, the brand stated that the new unit will have a “big personality with forced induction”.

Another interesting fact is that Q50 Eau Rouge is the most powerful Infiniti ever built. It produces more than 500 horsepower (368 kW) and 813 Nm (600 lb-ft) of torque. Despite these numbers and the big interest of customers, the concept has not been confirmed for production.

This Q50 model has a Formula One-inspired carbon fiber bodywork, so the new engine is probably a take on premium performance. And the proof is the impressive Q50 Eau Rouge engine sound.

Larte Design Infiniti QX60

LARTE Design has presented their tuning package for the Infiniti QX60. The new black appearance gives the QX60 more aggressive and stylish look.

The Russian tuning company manufactured all parts from PU RIM, which guarantees high rigidity and light weight. The body kit includes a new radiator grille featuring wide struts and a grille insert in the front apron. There are also twin fog lamps and five square LED DRLs. At the rear, there is a quad exhaust system from stainless steel, which can be mounted within the bumper for a cleaner look.

Last, but not least, Larte Design fitted the QZ60 with Design a bespoke set of 22” alloy wheels finished in matt black and fitted with low-profile tires.

Larte does not offer any performance packages for now.

The Distinguished Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Design Concept

Infiniti-Q50-Eau-Rouge-Concept-Detroit-2014-shadow NAIAS attendees have the benefit of a full view of the fancy named Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Concept*. It’s a design concept so it’s all about the looks and drama.

It’s only 20 millimetres wider and a bit lower than your average Q50, yet Infiniti are adamant that the only elements retained from the original are the front doors and the roof pillars. In other words, every other body panel has been replaced. Just to be sure that the Eau Rouge really does stand out from the commons, Infinity have went for a customized red coating and dark-chrome framing. The latter applies to the double-arch front grille, the glasshouse surrounds, the door handles and the deck lid accents.

Inside, there’s a “high-grip” steering wheel flanked by two paddle-shifters. The red accent makes its way into the interior as carbon fiber inserts on the doors, and the center console, while, again, dark-chrome replaces all that which used to be silver-chrome.

If they were ever to build the Rouge, Infiniti envision a forced induction 500+ bhp power plant nestled in the engine bay:

“Through our various alliance partners we have access to a range of engines featuring this performance capability which, with a fair amount of engineering effort, can be developed to exhibit Infiniti character…” comments Johan de Nysschen, President of Infiniti Motor Company Limited.

There’s also a projected torque value of 600 lb-ft. That’s quite a lot, could the real-life Eau Rouge end up baring a diesel heart?

*Eau Rouge is actually the name of a very specific corner at the Belgian Spa-Francorchamps race circuit.

2014 Infiniti Q50 – The Safest on the Road

2014 Infiniti Q50 has proved itself to have one of the most advanced standard fit collision avoidance systems. Together with its recently announced 5 star Euro NCAP rating the Infiniti Q50 is easily one of the safest cars on the road.

By using a highly specified radar system along with several cameras located around the vehicle to constantly monitor the vehicles surrounding area, many systems are able to combine together and reduce the risk of an accident ever taking place. Forward Emergency Braking is only one of many other features included in the optional Safety Pack:

Reversing (Back-up Collision Intervention). Detects moving vehicles and objects behind the car when reverse gear is selected, warning the driver with visual and audible alerts. If necessary the system can autonomously engage the brakes to avoid a collision.

Motorway hold-ups (Predictive Forward Collision Warning). Another world-first for Infiniti, PFCW warns the driver of hazards which lie beyond the driver’s field of view – seeing past not just the car in front but two cars ahead.
Low-speed manoeuvring in busy areas (Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection). Infiniti’s world-first real-time camera system provides a virtual 360 degree view of the environment around the car, with visual and audible warnings of hazards.

Infiniti To Reveal Q50 Eau Rouge At Detroit Show

A Formula One inspired concept car which will be based on the current Q50 premium sports saloon will make its official premiere at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It will carry the name Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge and will be unveiled during press conference on 13th of January.

Eau Rouge concept is Infiniti’s design vision for high performance. Even its name is inspirited by the world-famous corner at the Formula One track in Spa-Francorchamps. As a matter of fact this is a corner which requires extraordinary strength, courage and commitment and has seen some of the most incredible driving feats in Formula One’s history.

Q50 Eau Rouge concept combines road car technology and motorsport vision. It includes aerodynamic styling and design elements which are directly inspired and influenced by Infiniti’s partnership with Formula One world championship-winning team Infiniti Red Bull Racing.

The design of the Q50 Eau Rouge embodies extreme performance and expresses deepened design interpretation of that. The car will feature wide variety of technologies and will provide grat driving experience.

Infiniti Q30 Concept Unveiled At The Frankfurt Motor Show

Infiniti has revealed today the Infiniti Q30 Concept in Frankfurt. The vehicle showcases the next step in brand’s strategy to expand into new segments. Q30 Concept has sleek design and exudes individualized character.

As a matter of fact, this model is a unique blend a coupe, a hatch and a crossover, because in it were included features typically found in the three types of cars. May be the reason for this is tat the Q30 Concept is designed to appeal to younger customers who are not afraid to step in unknown territory.

The designers of the brand has the freedom for this project to be more creative and to explore bolder, even more sensual sculpting, increased muscularity and playfulness. Infiniti Q30 Concept is the precursor for brand’s future production vehicle.

Next to the unveiling of the new concept model, at the Frankfurt Motor Show was also announced the start of the sales of the Infiniti Q50 sports saloon in Europe. The vehicle will go on sale as of mid-November.

First Image Of Infiniti Q30 Concept Revealed

After revealing a sketch of the new Infiniti Q30 Concept, the brand now reveals the first image of the car. The world premiere of the concept will happen at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show next month.

The Infiniti Q30 Concept will be a preview of the contemporary design vision for a compact Infiniti vehicle. The aim is to attract as many customers from the new generation as possible. Infiniti Q30 Concept To Be Revealed In Frankfurt

Infiniti Q30 Concept is going to make its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The model will showcase a contemporary design vision for a compact Infiniti vehicle.

Q30 Concept is to be revealed at brand’s press conference, which is scheduled for 10:15 am CET on 10th of September in Frankfurt. In fact, the new car embodies Infiniti’s vision of creating head-turning design, in which innovative materials were utilized with passionate craftsmanship.

Infiniti Continues Production Of G37 Sedan

Infiniti has just announced that the production of its G37 Sedan model will be continued and will be available in the U.S. through the model year of 2015. Alongside the G37 there will be also offered the all-new Infiniti Q50.

As a matter of fact, the Q50, introduced last month, is currently hitting the market and it is going to offer distinctive design attributes, engaging performance, world’s first technologies and unmatched levels of connectivity and personalization.

In fact the G37 and Q50 are targeting different market segments in order to fulfill different customer needs. There are two models of the Infiniti G37 Sedan which are going to be further produced – G37 Sedan Journey and G37 Sedan AWD. In addition, there are only two Packages available for this model: Premium and Navigation.

Furthermore, the new 2014 Infiniti Q50 is going to be equipped with a choice of either 328-horsepower (241 kW) 3.7-liter V6 engine or 360 horsepower (264 kW) 3.5-liter Hybrid one.

The initial price of the model begins at $36 700 and it will go on sale this week at Infiniti retailers nationwide. The significantly streamlined and focused 2013 Infiniti G37 has a starting price of $32 550 USD.

2014 Infiniti QX80 and QX50 – US Price

Infiniti US has announced the pricing of the 2014 Infiniti QX80 Luxury SUV and the QX50 Luxury Crossover, which are now available at the dealers nationwide. The 2014 QX50 comes with reduced pricing ($2,500 compared to 2013 model). Prices for Infiniti’s SUV flagship QX80 are unchanged from 2013.

The QX80 continues to offer an unmatched combination of power, strength and luxury style – capable of transporting up to 8 adults and their luggage with spacious elegance. Its drivetrain is rugged enough to handle tasks such as towing boats or trailers (8,500 lbs towing capacity, when properly equipped), while being equally at home transporting friends and family for a night on the town. For 2014, the advanced Backup Collision Intervention (BCI) system is added to Technology Package.

The Infiniti QX50 combines a sleek, sculpted, elegant exterior design, exhilarating driving performance and an engaging interior environment. Standard equipment include leather-appointed seating, Intelligent Key and RearView Monitor. The crossover is powered by a 3.7 liter V6 with 325HP mated to a a 7-speed automatic transmission. Infiniti QX50 AWD models feature Infiniti’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system. There are no major enhancements for the 2014 model year.

2014 Infiniti Q50 Hits US Market

2014 Infiniti Q50 will hit the US market on August 5^th. The premium saloon will be available at Infiniti retailers nationwide with pricing starting from $36,700 for the entry level Q50 3.7 with RWD.

A special Q50 pre-sale program, announced at the New York International Auto Show in March, closed June 30 with 3,650 orders. Participants have time until October 31 to complete their purchases.

The 2014 Q50 offers Infiniti InTuition, a fully customizable digital environment for linking various driver settings and driving characteristics to their Infiniti Intelligent Key, and Infiniti InTouch next-gen smart connectivity, featuring dual touch-screens and an array of advanced functions and features.
