  • Astonishing custom-made Dodge Viper ACR reaches 765HP

GeigerCars.de Dodge Viper ACR side view

GeigerCars.de take full responsibility for this conversion

This Dodge Viper ACR is nothing ordinary. It features a special tuning by the experts at GeigerCars.de, which enhances its looks and power capability. Already in extinction, the named-after-the-poisonous-snake muscle car, stands out immediately with its 8.4 litre V10 engine with its innate 645 hp.

But the unit has more potential than that. Why do we think so? Because Karl Geiger and his team, extracted the extra 111 hp from this giant powerplant. And this happened via a classic naturally aspirated tuning; meaning exactly ported and polished cylinder heads, larger 2.215-inch diameter intake valves, high-lift camshaft, uprated hydraulic lifters, pushrods, and double valve springs.

The Viper tuning program does not end here. It also comprises of exhaust headers, 200-cell Sports catalytic converters and a stainless steel sports exhaust system. The latter reduces backpressure and brings about amazing racing soundtrack. The last thing done that boosts the horses is the ECU-remapping, which also makes full use of the new hardware.

Furthermore, GeigerCars installed more efficient engine oil cooler, which enhances the reliability and longevity of the engine in hard track use. In addition, the rear axle has also received an oil cooler system with an electric pump.

To improve the downforce, the specialists added an ‘Extreme Aero Package’ that consists of huge front air splitter, twin dive flaps for the front apron and a rear diffuser. The weight is somewhat reduced with the new 19-inch forged alloys that has been given to the Viper.

If this simple conversion has grabbed your attention just for a bit, then the good news is that it costs 40,775 euro. By the way, the GeigerCars Viper ACR with the “Extreme Aero Package” is also available for 219,000 euro.

  • Hennessey Venom 800 Supercharged under dyno testing [w/video]

Hennessey Dodge Viper Venom 800 Supercharged front and side view

2016 Dodge Viper equipped with Hennessey Venom 800 Supercharged upgrade get chassis dyno testing

The latest video we have received from Hennessey Performance is showing how the specialists perform a chassis dyno testing on their latest variant of the 2016 Dodge Viper equipped with the Hennessey Venom 800 Supercharged upgrade. The video is featured below so that you can enjoy that sweet growling sound of the updated powertrain.

By the way, Hennessey Performance’s Venom GT Spyder has been officially certified by Racelogic as world’s fastest convertible. Back in April it achieved a top speed of 265.6 mph (427.4 km/h). Thanks to this, Hennessey added another milestone to its list of awards. Back in 2014, the company has made a spectacular record-breaking speed of the hardtop Hennessey Venom GT, during which it reached a top speed of 270.4 mph (435.3 km/h).

The here presented Viper features company’s so called Venom 800 Supercharger, which helps the engine achieve equally spectacular results. First, the power has jumped to 808 hp (594 kW) at 6,200 rpm, while the torque to 1070 Nm (790 lb-ft) at 4,200 rpm. In terms of performance, the 0-60 mph acceleration sprint is covered in 2.9 seconds, while the ¼ mile is reached in 10.5 seconds at 143 mph.

These fantastic results are due to the addition of a high-flow supercharger system with 5 psi boost pressure, additional air to the air intercooler system, extra high flow fuel injectors and brand new stainless steel 3 inch exhaust system.

Besides the cool engine upgrades, Hennessey is also offering some design tweaks for the Viper, which show its significance and custom individuality. We are speaking of the Hennessey and Venom® 800 & Supercharged emblems for the exterior, the serial numbered dash & engine plaques as well as the premium floor mats.

Enough talk! Are you ready to hear some noise?

  • The Viper is DEAD. Dodge says last goodbye with five limited edition models

Dodge Viper Final Editions external viewCelebrating the 25th and final anniversary of the famous supercar

You can say your last goodbye to the famous and iconic American supercar, Dodge Viper, because these five examples are the last variants that will come to life. Yes, the Viper is completely dead. Ironically, the released variants are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the model, but this also marks an unsatisfying death at a young age, doesn’t it?

To sum up the life of the Viper: Dodge introduced it back in 1992, creating it with the help of the specialists at SRT. For 25 years around 30,000 units have been produced, so this might be the hint why the car has been suddenly shown the door.

Anyway, the 25th anniversary limited-edition modelsare about to commemorate the abundant production and successful life of the Viper. Ironically speaking, of course. At least, the car looks fantastic, and it sure feels exaggerating when driving. But after all, it has rather suspicious market success.

SEE ALSO: GeigerCars.de and the 710HP Aero Dodge Viper GTS R710

The last Vipers we are about to see are: 1:28 Edition ACR (American Club Racer), GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR, VoooDoo II Edition ACR, Snakeskin Edition GTC and the Dodge Dealer Edition. Each one of them is powered by the iconic all-aluminum 8.4-liter V-10 engine that delivers 645 horsepower (474 kW) and 813 Nm (600 lb.-ft.) of torque.

    Viper 1:28 Edition ACR

    2010 Dodge Viper ACR

This one pays tribute to the record of the current production car. It made a significant achievement of 1:28.65 with the driver Randy Pobst at historic Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, California in October.

The characteristics that make it stand out from the others are the black exterior and painted rear wing with red ACR stripes, various aero components, 1:28 Edition exterior sill decal. Inside, there is an ACR interior with red stitching as well as serialized instrument panel with 1:28 Edition badge.

This special edition will be produced in only 28 units.

    Viper GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR

    1998 Dodge Viper GTS R

The Viper GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR pays tribute to a… paint scheme. The white and blue paint scheme. It was characteristic for the 1998 Viper GTS-R GT2 Championship Edition. Other goodies featured here include an aero and carbon fiber pack and carbon brakes. Inside we find the same interior scheme, but will the addition of Header Red seat belts, serialized instrument panel and GTS-R badge.

Dodge is building 100 units from this edition.

    Viper VoooDoo II Edition ACR

    2010 Dodge Viper VoooDoo

This one is modeled after the original Viper VooDoo from 2010. It has black exterior and graphite metallic ACR driver’s stripe with red tracer outline. Some of the special features here are the VoooDoo II exterior sill decals, ACR interior with silver accent stitching and the obligatory serial number with the VoooDoo II badge.

Only 31 units will be produced for 2017.

    Viper Snakeskin Edition GTC

    2010 Dodge Viper Snakeskin

Snakeskin Edition GTC is probably my favorite. It has been inspired by the original 2010 Snakeskin ACR mode, thus including new Snakeskin Green exterior with a custom snakeskin patterned SRT stripe. Advanced aerodynamics is a must. The interior is black and it has been made unique by serialized instrument panel and Snakeskin badge. This edition is the most limited in its production.

Sadly, Dodge will make of it only 25 examples.

    Dodge Dealer Edition ACR

The Dealer Edition ACR will be available through the highest sales volume Viper dealers:  Tomball Dodge of Tomball, Texas, and Roanoke Dodge of Roanoke, Illinois. We didn’t receive any pictures of the model, but Dodge says that it has been adorned by white exterior and Competition Blue center stripe as well as Adrenaline Red driver stripe. The cabin includes contrasting red stitching and serialized instrument panel with ACR badge.

The model will have as many as 33 units in production.

If Dodge Viper is your dream car, but you still haven’t bought any, then this is your last chance to get your hands on a brand new one. Orders are going to be taken starting from June 24th.

  • The Force Awakens: Dodge Joins the Dark Side [VIDEO]

Dodge Joins the Dark Side If Darth Vader lived in today’s world and had to choose a vehicle, I bet he’d go for a Dodge Viper ACR. And since the premiere of the latest Start Wars Series, called “The Force Awakens” is intimidatingly near, December18th, then there is nothing better to talk about the strange combination of the ‘Dark Side’ and… Dodge cars. The company has just released a cool TV ad to promote the future blockbuster.

Of course, you will hear the Imperial March, but what you will see is unexpectedly exciting. The video actually displays an army of muscle cars, compacts, crossovers and SUVs with massive doses of attitude!

Each and every one of them is built for top performance, from power off the line to handling in the corners! Just like any Stormtrooper should be powerful, technologically advanced, capable and efficient, these Dodge vehicles, the Charger, Challenger, and Durango, express the same qualities!

SEE ALSO: The Return of Dodge Viper ACR Supercar

By the way, the ad is called “The Force Gathers” and the most exciting part of it is the ‘leading role’ of the black Dodge Viper ACR. The car was released this year and has shown some impressive details, about which you can read in the link above. But some fast facts, might remind you how cool this car is and why Darth Vader has chosen it.

First, it is powerful beyond measure, because of its 8.4-liter V10 engine, which produces 645 horsepower (474 kW) and 813 Nm (600 lb-ft) of torque. It transmits all this power onto the road via the Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission.

The car also shows-off with Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, 19-inch alloys and exclusive Kumho Ecsta V720 high-performance rubbers. We don’t doubt that Vader has chosen to add the Extreme Aero package to his Viper ACR, making sure that he will have the highest aerodynamic downforce of any production car! And just in case you ask about it, well the Extreme Aero package can offer up to three times the downforce of the Viper TA or Time Attack 2.0 package.

    Enjoy the video!

As a standard, the unit produces 649 hp (478 kW) and 814 Nm (601 lb-ft) of torque.

GeigerCars.de stepped on this basis and added some valuable changes to the appearance and the power output via a power-upgrade kit and carbon aero kit. Some extras to the suspension are also there.

    Power Increase

GeigerCars.de Dodge Viper GTS R710 Engine

Helping the engine breathe more deeply is the modified airbox and bespoke exhaust system, featuring tubular headers and sport catalysts. In addition, the ECU remap alters the fuel and ignition, thus using extra air. As a result, the engine pumps out 710 hp (522 kW) at 6,100rpm and 861 Nm (635 lb-ft) of torque at 5,500rpm.

We should also mention that the performance tuning also adds new exhaust headers, sport catalysts, sport exhaust, besides the airbox and ECU remap.

    Aero Kit & Better Suspension

GeigerCars.de Dodge Viper GTS R710 rear View

The Viper is tied to the ground via its new KW Variant 2 coil-over suspension kit. It drops the ride height by 30 mm. In fact, the kit also features 16-step adjustable rebound control that optimizes the grip of the tires. Speaking of rubbers, the snake runs on 295/30ZR18 up front and 355/30ZR19 at the rear.

At last, the in-house made carbon-fibre aerodynamic kit comprises of components that reduce the weight of the car. It features front spoiler lip with matching rear spoiler as well as apron insert with diffuser. Don’t you think that these lacquered carbon-fibre components look fantastic when highlighted against the contrasting body color!

  • What is to Own a Total of 79 Dodge Vipers?

Dodge Viper GTC 1 of 1Dodge Viper can now be optimized according to any customer’s taste. The first two examples of this were already delivered to Wayne and D’Ann Rauh. On Friday, July 24, the couple visited the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit and received the keys to two new customized “1 of 1” Dodge Viper GTC models.

This couple is also famous for another fact and it is that with these new two additions they own a total of 79 Dodge Vipers. It is even hard to comprehend this number, but it is cool to see the enthusiasm in their eyes.

SEE ALSO: 8,000 Exterior Color Options For Dodge Viper GTC

We definitely admire these people, since they have the courage to collect these fantastic cars, spend energy and time as well as money, to make their dream come true. And this is what makes them perfect for encouraging others to follow their steps.

Dodge Viper GTC 1 of 1

But how did they receive those unique one-off Viper GTC models? The answer lies in the new Viper “1 of 1” customization program, through which owners can create their own one-of-a-kind Snake. How cool is that?

What is even cooler is that there are no two cars alike, because the program implies that no two customers can order the same configuration, including color, in the same model year.

Another interesting detail here is that with the introduction of matte-finish exterior paint, the new model year Viper is now offered in more than 50 million configurations. In fact, there are more than 16,000 unique paint color options and more than 48,000 unique stripe combinations.

Besides the one-off exterior qualities of the car, the Viper is also capable of some special powers. Due to the hand-built aluminum 8.4-liter V-10 engine, the snake produces 645 horsepower (474 kW) and 813 Nm (600 lb.-ft.) of torque. The last numbers help the Viper’s engine be the most torque of any naturally aspirated sports car engines in the world.

The process begins with a base color coat. Then a clear finish is applied. After these two steps, every Viper body panel is sanded smooth by hand with 1,000 grit paper that allows polishing which is near mirror finish. For a matte finish, each body panel is also sanded for a second time. Then the matte clear paint is applied.

    Stripes Across Viper’s Lineup

2016 Dodge Viper ACR From Above

2016 Dodge Viper model comes always with stripes, regardless it is GT, GTC, GTS and ACR specification. Each of them can be fitted with optional ‘GTS’ stripes that run the length of the coupe from the front to rear fascia.

As a matter of fact, each “1 of 1” GTC model Viper also comes equipped with unique instrument panel badge. It displays a name chosen by the customer and commemorates their exclusive design. The unique model also comes with satin chrome or satin black badging and fuel filler door.

  • The Return of Dodge Viper ACR Supercar

Have you heard about the Viper ACR? It is reborn and writing the new history of the street-legal, and track-focused supercars. Hand-built and all-American this car has been engineered to combine the best aerodynamic, braking and tire technology. Behind the development of the iconic car are the engineers at SRT, and this only links towards extreme speed and great performance as well as exclusive looks.

    Aero Package

The ultimate aerodynamic performance is ensured via the addition of the optional Extreme Aero package. It helps the car produce the highest aerodynamic downforce of any production car. To be more precise, the pack adds adjustable dual-element rear wing that is 1,876-mm wide, rear diffuser made of carbon fiber, SRT hood with removable louvers, detachable extension for the front splitter and four dive planes.

And if you ask about the downforce, well the Extreme Aero package can offer up to three times the downforce of the Viper TA or Time Attack 2.0 package.

    Brake performance

Brembo brakes are obligatory here. They are from the Carbon Ceramic Matrix variety and deliver maximum braking performance. At the front the Viper gets 390-millimeter (15.4-inch) two-piece rotors, while at the back they measure 360-millimeter (14.2-inch) and are again two-piece. In addition, the front brakes are complemented by six-piston calipers while the rear brakes – by four-piston calipers.

    Tires

If you expect something ordinary here, you will be disappointed. The Viper ACR runs on Kumho Ecsta V720 high-performance tires, which were specifically designed for it. They actually contribute for 1.5 seconds faster lap times. At the front, the rubbers measure 295/25/19 and are mounted on 11-inch wide wheels, while at the back they are of size 355/30/19.

    ABS, ESC & Suspension

This Dodge’s ABS and ESC are specifically tuned for the car. The Electronic Stability Control for instance has five modes: Full-on, Sport, Track, Rain, Full-off, which take into account the extra grip offered by the extreme aerodynamic and tire package. Furthermore, the Viper ACR can also show-off with aluminum bodied, double-adjustable coil-over Bilstein race shocks that provides more than 3 inches adjustment for the ride height.

    Drivetrain

The most important feature of this car is its heart, a.k.a. the V10 engine. The all-aluminum 8.4-liter overhead-valve powerplant can produce 645 horsepower (474 kW) and 813 Nm (600 lb.-ft.) of torque. It transmits all this power onto the road via the Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission. In addition, new exhaust tips have been added to the side-mounted exhaust pipes. This serves in order to reduce exhaust pressure.

    Interior

Special performance must be also present inside of the car. This of course means great interior, which the ACR Viper has. What’s special? The interior is racing-inspired, and this is visible through the instrument panel cluster hood, lower instrument panel and door armrest panels that are wrapped in unique Alcantara suede.

The steering wheel has also received special Alcantara upholstery, which is contrasted with color racing stripe and unique badging. The seats also carry the Alcantara inserts, while the unique dash plaque is finished in carbon fiber. The stitching is optional and customers can choose between silver or Header Red one.

At last, we must highlight that the 2016 Dodge Viper ACR is entirely hand-built. It will go on same later this year.
