  • Techart Releases new Tuning Kit for Porsche 911 GTS Models

rsche-911-GTS-1240Techart’s new program for Porsche 911 Carrera GTS and 911 Carrera 4 GTS offers individualization options that can literally match any taste. Enhanced aerodynamic styling, driving performance, wheels and bespoke interiors are all key characteristics of the refined Porsches. There is also good news for those who will be visiting the auto saloon in Geneva, because the

The individualized exterior of the 911 GTS is all about styling and aerodynamics. Although there is subtle difference to the standard models, it is quite distinctive. Take a look at the new front spoiler which upgrades the original front apron of the car.

It also creates extra dynamics by visually lowering the body and reducing the aerodynamic lift at the front axle. Next, there is the elegant roof spoiler, the prominent rear spoiler and sharp profiled side skirts.

In terms of driving dynamics, Techart created performance equipment and wheels that add to the credentials of the car. The new sport exhaust systems add a sporty highlight to the rear of the 911 Carrera GTS. In addition, it also provides a racier soundscape at all speeds.

As a matter of fact, there are two different exhaust systems. Both are dynamically valve-controlled to adjust the sound according to the driving style. Besides the sport exhaust system with two twin tailpipes on each side, the second system has a motorsport-like appearance, meaning that it comes with two central tailpipes and an extraordinary audible presence.

The driving dynamics of the Porsche were further enhanced vie the new sport springs bring the 911 GTS body closer to the track. Furthermore, the electro-hydraulic TECHART Noselift system provides 45 mm of additional ground clearance at the push of a button by lifting the vehicle’s body at the front axle. This feature is perfect to overrun obstacles like garage ramps.

The huge amount of power of the Porsche is transmitted onto the road via forged Techart Formula IV Race center lock wheel. They have five twin-spokes wheel design and come in 20-inch size and standard bicolor finish in titanium grey with a gloss-turned front surface.

Inside, the tuners have also prepared some tweaks for the 911 GTS models. Take for example the individualized door entry guards or the multi-function sport steering wheels with paddle shifters. Of course, we can’t miss the aluminium-made sport pedals, contrasted decorative stitching, color-coordinated instrument dials, and a coupe wrapped in select leather. Nice work Techart!

  • Vorsteiner Porsche 911 Carrera S Runs Faster With V-FF 101 Wheels?

Vorsteiner-911-Carrera-S-V-FF-101-THUMBAlthough the latest Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera S debuted more than two years ago they are still desired object for customization. This time the responsible for the tuning are the fellows at Vorsteiner – a Californian based tuning company with a rather German name. We see from the beautiful pictures they have sent us, that Porsche’s original blue color is complemented by new wheels in very special color. In this way the car not only looks more sporty, but it definitely receives a shade of individuality.

Precisely, the most recent photo shoot that the company has made highlights the new V-FF 101 Flow Forged Wheels. They are lightweight and were specifically developed for the Porsche 991 Carrera S.

The eye-catching color of the wheels is called Carbon Graphit, while their dimensions are 20×8.5 at the front and 20×11 at the rear. Vorsteiner has used Standard Profile on the front and Concave Profile for the rear in order to advantage of Porsche’s original tire sizes. This means that the 245/35/20 tires at the front and 295/30/20 Pirelli tires at the rear are are rub-free even after a moderate drop.

2012 Porsche 911 Carrera is motivated by the 350-horsepower (261 kW) coming from the 3.4-liter boxer engine. On the other hand the Carrera S delivers 400 hp (298 kW) from 3.8-liter boxer engine. The acceleration time for the first from 0 to 100 km/h is estimated at 4.4 seconds, while the Carrera S covers this sprint in just 4.1 seconds.

The time for acceleration is further reduced to 3.9 seconds when 911 is equipped with the Sports Chrono Package Plus. Top-track-speeds for the 911 Carrera and Carrera S are 179 mph (288 km/h) and 188 mph (303 km/h), respectively.

  • Gemballa Says Goodbye to Mirage GT

Gemballa-Mirage-GT-No23-THUMBSadly we have come to the point when there will be only two Gemballa Mirage GTs left. Yes, the run on the last two has begun, because the series is limited to 25 cars and we have already counted to 23. This makes the Mirage a collector’s item and its value is going to rise very soon. The legendary car is based on the Porsche Carrera GT, but has more power and exclusivity to show. In terms of appearance, this car almost has nothing to do with the Porsche.

Furthermore, the sports car is powered by the 5.7l/10 cylinder engine, which is uprated from 612 hp (450 kW) to 670 hp (493 kW) and its torque from 590 Nm (435 lb-ft) to 630 Nm (465 lb-ft). What is more: the modified Porsche reaches 100 km/h in only 3.7 seconds on the way to a top speed of 335 km/h.

For the faster acceleration time also contributes the new body kit, which was made of real carbon fibres. In addition, the aprons and the striking rear spoiler raise the surface pressure and keep the car safely on the road, regardless the speed. The three-part air inlet, which stretches across the entire front and the recessed door elements, also stands out.

The engineers at Gemballa also installed a sport-type coupling with special linings. They are perfect for the “stop and go” city driving and make it softer and gentler.

And for those who will miss the Mirage project – don’t worry. Gemballa is currently working on its next limited edition series, the first of which will be based on the Porsche 918 Spider hybrid. With its very aggressive silhouette and coming in only 25 examples, it may become even more exclusive.
