2013 Cehvrolet COPO Camaro factory drag-racing car will be produced in limited run and their customer will be identified starting Monday, March 11. Only sixty-nine units will be constructed in 2013.
Last year, for the 2012 COPO Camaros, when only 69 were built, more than 3000 people have shown interest. To remind you, COPO stands for Central Office Production Order and was originally used by dealers in the 1960s. Back then this created special orders, mostly for fleet vehicles.
In addition, some racing-minded dealers utilized this system in order to make higher-performance models such as the 1969 Camaro ZL1. And again, only sixty-nine examples of this Chevrolet were built, hence making the model valuable collector’s car.
To be more precise, the the 2013 production run will be offered with two new engines and a new manual transmission: 350-cubic-inch engine rated at 325 horsepower (240 kW) and the 427-cubic-inch engine rated at 425 horsepower (313 kW).
As a standard on all COPO Camaros comes the high-feature fuel-injection system with engine management directed by an all-new Holley HP EFI electronic control. The latter includes self-tuning fuel table strategies and data logging, and is utilized in conjunction with a Holley Hi-Ram intake manifold.
In addition, there is a brand new manual transmission. Rear axle gearing is optimized for each vehicle, depending on the engine and transmission. Other new and revised production features for 2013 include: a “heritage” grille and standard-production (non-HID) headlamps; new exterior graphics choices with engine-size call-outs; revised interior package with custom carpet and new switch panel; dedicated racing wiring harness; revised front springs that enhance performance; transmission cooler integrated with radiator.
What is more, five exterior colors are being offered as a choice to customers. They are namely: Black, Summit White, Victory Red, Silver Ice Metallic and Ashen Gray Metallic. The starting price for the COPO Camaro is $86 000.
SchwabenFolia has announced their latest project. It is a tuned Chevrolet Camaro SS featuring both – styling and performance modifications.
The 6.2 liter V8 engine has received a compressor TVS2300 Magnuson. The result is spectacular 525HP (386 kW), which is a 120HP increase. There is also a coilover suspension – KW Variant 1 and a set of 20” wheels with five spokes fitted with 245 and 275 tires (front/rear).
The exterior boasts spectacular opening LSD doors, full wrap – mat shade called Anodized Blue, Black Brushed Steel roof, mirrors, hood and rear spoiler. The side pinstripes, which mark the waistline, are white and also mat.
SchwabenFolia has quite rightly received the first „PWF-Award“ for this Camaro with the best PWF foil by Bruxsafol on the most beautiful car, where PWF is well known as Platinum Wrapping Film.
Magnat Chevrolet Camaro Audio is a modification visibly and audibly enhanced by the brand Magnat of the firm Audivox. The iconic muscle car is linked with German sound technology and now exudes a stance of an impressive show car.
The tuners have enhanced Chevrolet’s engine performance via performance kit. The latter was delivered by the firm Wimmer racing engineering. Additionally, thanks to software customization, optimization of the air induction and stainless steel exhaust system, the Camaro achieves performance figures of 452 hp (332 kW) and has a maximum torque of 596 Nm (440 lb-ft) at 4,300 r / min). The maximum speed after this power increase is 274 km/h.
Furthermore, the Magnat Camaro rolls on the streets with a grandiose wheel-tire combination by Oxigin in 10×22 inches all around with Yokohama Advan Sport tires in 265/30ZR22 at the front and 295/25ZR22 at the rear axle. The perfect sport handling is available thanks to the height adjustable KW coilover suspension, Variant 1.
To go further into details, the interior has been improved as well. Here one can see that the cabin is exclusively equipped with high quality leather and Alcantara. The diamond pattern of the seats underlines the sportive character and upgrades the interior clearly.
But most importantly, why this Camaro carries the name Audio/ The answer lies in the audio equipment which includes new Audiovox VME 9520NAV, with navigation, Bluetooth hands-free system, iPod / iPhone control, DVD and linkage to the steering wheel remote control, handles the powerful Magnat 4400Watt system.
In addition, what transforms the cabin into a concert hall are the two-way component front system, coaxial rear system, 2x 30cm subwoofer and digital amplifiers transform. Here the installed Ipod serves as a database of all music requests. The illuminated show installation in the trunk completes this great project to the maximum.

Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is currently one of the best sports cars on the market. It comes with unique supercharged V8 engine, excellent suspension, big brakes and nice exterior. All this is at reasonable price.
However, the Hennessey HPE700 ZL1 is something different and suitable for insane driving. The owner John Hennessey, took the car on Texas Tall Road to test its acceleration and Vmax. He managed to hit the rev limiter at the final gear, but the car reached 355 km/h (221 mph) with a toll tag of 328 km/h (204 mph).
“This was a win-win for our company as well as the state and TxDOT. I was amazed at how much our state officials wanted to help us,” commented Hennessey.
“And in turn, we helped them too. I am truly proud to be a Texan and from a state that has the best highway system in America. We also have some of the best people who work together to get things done!”, he finished.

Chevrolet Racing started a campaign which aims to raise breast cancer awareness. This weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway every lap run under the caution flag lead to a $200 contribution by Chevrolet to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative.
”At Chevy, we believe everyday heroes can accomplish extraordinary things, and it is in this spirit that we work to achieve a world without breast cancer”, said Don Johnson, vice president of Chevrolet Sales and Service.
There was a special car prepared for the event as well; it is a one-of-a-kind pink Camaro SS featuring the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer logo. And just as a reminder, in 2011, 64 caution laps at Atlanta generated $12,800 for the American Cancer Society.
People in USA know some things and especially how to create drag-racing vehicles. That’s why, Chevrolet has developed a special series vehicle – COPO Camaro, which is for drag-racing use. Of course, the vehicle can be run on the streets, but it is not recommended at all.
Chevrolet COPO Camaro is powered by a supercharged 5.3 liter V8 engine featuring 4.0 liter Whipple supercharger. Nothing is mentioned about the overall power, but the car managed to stop the clock at 8.88 seconds and ¼ mile run.
Chevrolet previously mentioned that the recently introduced COPO Camaro is capable of doing the ¼ mile run in less than 9 seconds, and now we have proof that it can do it.
The engine range features also a naturally-aspirated V8 7.0 liter power unit and a 5.3-liter V8 with a 2.9 liter supercharger. All three engines are mated to a Powerglide automatic gearbox that was specially developed for drag racing.
The vehicle is available with a choice of 5 colors – Ashen Grey Metallic, Silver Ice Metallic, Victory Red, Summit White and Flat Black. Chevy plans to create only 69 units this year, with prices starting from $89,000
The new 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible will be offered in the USA with a competitive starting price of just $60 445 including the $900 destination charge. This number is sensational, because you will get a super-powered sports drop-top vehicle at very good value.
ZL1 Convertible is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine with 588 HP (432 kW) and 754 Nm (556 lb-ft) of torque. This is an improvement of just 11 HP and 9 Nm over ZL1 Coupe. 0-60 mph in 4 seconds and a top speed of 296 km/h (184 mph).
The suspension of the ZL1 convertible uses the third-generation of Magnetic Ride. New, twin-wire/dual-coil dampers at all four corners enable faster response, with damping levels now adjusted up to 1 000 times per second – about one adjustment per inch of vehicle travel at 60 mph – making the system exceptionally responsive to changing driving and road conditions.
GM also reported that the 2013 Camaro 1LE is priced from just $37 035 including $900 destination charge.
2013 Chevrolet Camaro Dusk Special Edition is a unique Chevrolet model equipped with an optional Dusk Special Edition package. The latter is available only for 2LT and 2SS Camaro coupe or convertible models.

When the model which is to be tuned is a convertible, then the top is in blue color as well.
Furthermore the interior of the Camaro Dusk Special Edition model includes exclusive Mojave leather-appointed wrapping with yellow stitching on the seats. More highlights concerning the interior are shift knob, center armrest and steering wheel.
Here can also be seen enhancements such as the Mojave color of the panel insert and Blue Ray Metallic color of the door inserts.
The Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price of the Dusk Special Edition package is $5995.
2013 Chevrolet Camaro Dusk Special Edition Details:
Chevrolet Camaro is a legend among the cars and it has been famous and gathered greater popularity since its launch in 1967. One of the main reasons for its initial popularity was probably that it had a unique characteristic: it combined a sports car driving feeling with an everyday drive.
2013 Chevrolet Camaro is road-racing-inspired which now has unique gearing, suspension tuning and tires that make the model capable of more than 1 g of lateral acceleration. The package is offered on Camaro SS coupes but only on those equipped with manual transmissions.

A Camaro with the 1LE package can be recognized by its matte black hood, front splitter and rear spoiler. Furthermore, it has unique 10-spoke ZL1-based wheels, which are also in the colour black. In addition the front splitter and rear spoiler enhance to the car’s on-track performance by helping to reduce aerodynamic lift at high speeds.
Inside, the 1LE has the ZL1’s flat-bottom steering wheel, trimmed in sueded-microfiber and designed for easier heel-and-toe driving on the racetrack. The quick-acting, short-throw shifter from the ZL1 is also trimmed in sueded-microfiber.
