  • 2012 BMW 1M by BEST Cars and Bikes

2012-BMW-1M-by-BEST-Cars-and-Bikes-THUMB2012 BMW 1M by BEST Cars and Bikes is a tuning which is definitely going to inspire anyone. The car transformers from BEST Cars and Bikes have done incredible work on this popular BMW model.

First they have added a KW coil over in Variant 3 in combination with an exhaust system made by Bastuck. In fact it was made from stain steel, which further improves the dynamics and performance.

Furthermore, there has been done enhancement regarding the power of the car. With the help of professional software optimization the tuners have managed to give this 1M 425 hp (313 kW).

And in order to make it even more perfect, they have given it more impressive stance using one-of-a-kind wheel and tire combination. The mounted three-piece rims of the FS-Line with matt black coated stainless steel outer rims obviously fit excellent to the BMW.

The dimensions in particular here are 9Jx20H2 in combination with 245/30R20 tires on the front axle and 11Jx20H2 and 305/25R20 at the rear axle. Almost looks like these wheels were made especially and only for the tuning!

  • KW coilover kit for the new 2012 BMW 3-Series F30

The new BMW 3-Series – the F30 is exceptional car. It comes with better engines, nice aerodynamics and good material quality. Its sports nature is all over the car, but KW will add a little more aggressiveness with a special coilover kit Variant 3+ “inox-line” which is part of the worldwide Top-aftermarket products.

“In the new design of the KW coilover Variant 3+ we have integrated the compression adjustment wheel in the bottom of the housing. To adjust the rebound damping, the adjustment wheel has to be attached on top of the front axle piston rod.”, commented Johannes Wacker, KW Product Manager.

“For example when drivers replace the tire / wheel combination from BMW against a bigger tire set or if the dimension of the standard break system will be changed thru a performance modification, this can be considered when adjusting the rebound”,, he added.

The KW coilover kit Variant 3+ ensures already in basic setup an increase of the steering precision and tracking. Even at a lowering of up to 65 mm at the front and 60 mm at the rear axle in combination with 20” alloy wheels and Dunlop tires, the rolling comfort at the BMW F30 will not be affected.

KW also offers coilover kits Variant 1 and Variant 2, which are a lot softer, but still can be adjusted to give better performance.

All three KW coilovers for the BMW F30 are manufactured in long life stainless steel technology and allow a continuous lowering within the German TÜV-tested adjustment range of 40 – 65 mm at the front axle and 30 – 60 mm at the rear axle.

  • G-POWER Work on a BMW 1M Coupe

G-Power-BMW-1M-Coupe-thumbG-Power-BMW-1M-Coupe-mediumA substantial upgrade for the BMW 1M Coupe is now available at G-Power central. There’s an increase in power, there’s a suspension tweak and there’s some eye candy.

The main point here is that now a 1M Coupe is more powerful than it’s bigger brother – the M3. That’s 435 horsepower and 590 Newton meters of torque (15 hp and 195 Nm more than the M3). That immediately takes us to the question of speed. The G-Power 1M eats up 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. The top speed has been upped to 300 km/h.

To achieve this, the guys at G-Power have had to optimize the flow with some downpipes to reduce the exhaust gas temperature. Further back, there’s a completely new exhaust system that’s 20 kg lighter than a stock one would be mainly because the titanium material used for it. The tail pipes also come in carbon. At the front there’s a larger intercooler and a special G-Power software (Bi-Tronic V3) that takes into account the newfound oily bits.

Suspension-wise, G-Power have worked hard to match the performance. A GM1-RS height-adjustable coil-over kit ensure overall stability. Then there are the 20-inch G-Power Silverstone wheels wrapped in Michelin tires with 255/30 ZR 20 and 295/25 ZR 20 dimensions front and rear respectively. From behind the double spokes of the front alloys, 396 mm brake discs peak out which get clamped by six-cylinder piston calipers whenever one stomps on the brake pedal.
