  • BMW to Unveil Next Gen 7 Series on June 10th

2016 BMW 7 Series will be unveiled on 10th of June! Can you believe this? Luckily enough we found this video (you can view below) at BMW’s official YouTube channel stating that the perception for driving luxury will be changed in eight days. There is of course no additional information or pictures released regarding this debut, and this makes us even more excited.

What we know for sure is that BMW is going to change (again) the status-quo of the automotive world, giving glimpses of the near future. This is because it is a well known fact that BMW actually creates the future and this is how it predicts it.

Take for instance the most powerful letter in the world, the “M”. The vehicles carrying it are capable of thrilling performance and have the most athletic characteristics in the line-up. Or take the letter “i”, which hints to a different form of mobility which is more sustainable and ecological.

SEE ALSO: What Do You Think of This Twilight Purple BMW 760Li?

And it is now time for BMW to create the future of luxury with the reveal of the BMW 7 series. We are promised to see game-changing innovations, exceptional comfort and contemporary design. And the dynamics will be both impressive and highly efficient.

The impressions after viewing the video leave us with the feeling that BMW isn’t telling lies. Obviously, the flagship will have a new and more prominent grille. The car will also feature new front fender vents. At its both sides we see laser headlights. At the back the taillights are sleek and feature integrated chrome trim.

The “Carbon Core” inscription signifies that the 7 Series will sport a new body structure which will be infused with carbon fiber. So we definitely expect to see less weight of the next generation car. Under the hood is an unclear topic for now, but rumors say that we will see there one of BMW’s TwinPower Turbo engines.

  • BMW Reveals Z4 Facelift and You Will Not Expect to See This

2016 BMW Z4 Facelift Front and Side View2016 BMW Z4 Facelift has just been revealed with an abundant set of pictures, which you can view in details in the gallery below. What was surprisingly stunning was that the Bavarian company did not release any press release with the images. And there was no reason for doing so.

And here is what we didn’t expect: the 2016 BMW Z4 does not include any changes but one – a new exterior paint scheme in its color range. Called Estoril Blue, this exterior color is very special, because (if you are a BMW fan you should know) it is offered for exclusive models only. Take for instance the M-Series.

In addition, the Estoril Blue is available for the Z4 for the very first time, which makes it a very strange fact. In my opinion, at least.

SEE ALSO: Carlex Design with Another Fantastic Project: Z4 Rampant

Everything else in the car is staying the same. That’s not something to worry about, because the Z4 Roadster offers the ultimate driving experience. It was designed to make every single drive an indulgence.

Its unique design features stunning hardtop and elongated hood that combined with the capability of the car, create unique open-top experience. In the range are featured powerful engine options, but the mightiest one is the four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo.

It displaces just 2.0 liters, but still has the power to generate 240 hp (176 kW) and 352 Nm (260 lb-ft) of torque at just 1250 rpm. The potent thrust kicks in right from the start and continues all the way up to 4800 rpm.

What is more, the sDrive rear-wheel drive system allows for a perfect 50/50 weight distribution, meaning that the car delivers power more precisely.

The Estoril Blue Z4 will be available to order from the next month and will be only an option for the Z4 equipped with the M Sport Package.

  • 2015 Concours of Elegance Continues to Bring Pleasure for the Eyes of Every Auto Maniac!

Concours of Elegance revealed some legendary vehicle models, that were set on stage in the 2015 event, that include a 1905 Star Gordon Bennett racer to the 2015 Touring Superleggera Berlinetta Lusso.

The Concours itself started in 2012 with the idea to show the world’s finest vehicles ath the Windsor Castle. Since the first Concours, it moved to St James’s Palace and Hampton Court Palace, before heading to the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh for this year’s event.

And for 2015 the event demonstrated some really impressive vehicles. Let’s start with the elders. The 1905 Star shows one of the earliest models on display, that was originally created to represent Britain at the Gordon Bennett Cup. The vehicle comes with a 10-liter engine and a top speed of 100 km/h (62 mph), which was a really impressive achievement for engineers from that era.

Further, the 1939 Delahaye Type 165 Figoni et Laschi comes to remind, that it was one of the most impressive vehicles back in the 1930s. In fact, it is still impressive and today, isn’t it? It was first displayed at 1939 World’s Fair in NY and only six of these 12-cylinder models were created and the model, showed at the 2015 Concours of Elegance is the most beautiful of all six vehicles.

The next beauty is the 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 NART Spider. In fact, this is the one of only ten ever produced. It was designed to kickstart the 275 GTB/4 sales in America and it became one of the most sought-after Ferrari models.

The Concours continues with the 1979 BMW M1 and the 1995 Ferrari F40 LM, before showing the youngest model at the show this year, the 2015 Touring Superleggera Berlinetta Lusso, which is a Ferrari F12 influenced hand-crafted coupe with a production of only five vehicles. Impressive, isn’t it?

The Concours really shows some wonderful and truly beautiful vehicles, that bring pleasure of just watching them. We hope, that everyone, who is interested in such cars have the chance to be an owner of such beauties!

  • BMW Celebrates 40th Anniversary of Art Cars With Numerous Shows in 2015

Since Alexander Calder painted the BMW 3.0 CSL, that lined up for Le Mans 24-hour race, 40 years have passed. And since then the BMW Art Car Collection has fascinated with passionate artwork, design and technology. As we all know, since the invention of the motorcar, artists have made it look better, more confident and more dramatic.  As we talk about art, applied on vehicles, not much has changed even now, in 21st century.

Ever since 1975 BMW Art Cars have been known for their design and incredible paint work, and since then these cars are central figure in the BMW history. In fact, the idea behind the art cars comes from a French driver and painter, Hervé Poulain. Exactly 40 years ago, Poulain asked his friend, artist Alexander Calder to incorporate his talent into his sports car. This is how the beautiful and colorful tradition was born.

Now, the anniversary celebration are made in Hong Kong, where the first art BMW models will be displayed. And this is not all the good news! There will be more more colorful shows later in 2015,  held in New York, Miami and Shanghai.

SEE ALSO: Carlex Design with Another Fantastic Project: Z4 Rampant

Up to date, numerous BMW Art Cars have been witnessed performing on the road and now proudly telling their stories in art museums. Just some of the unique models are: Alexander Calder (BMW 3.0 CSL, 1975), Frank Stella (BMW 3.0 CSL, 1976), Roy Lichtenstein (BMW 320 Group 5, 1977), Andy Warhol (BMW M1 Group 4, 1979), Ernst Fuchs (BMW 635CSi, 1982), Robert Rauschenberg (BMW 635CSi, 1986), Michael Jagamara Nelson (BMW M3 Group A, 1989).

In 2014 Hatje Cantz published even comprehensive publication of the BMW Art Cars. It is a 200-page book, with wonderful illustrations and reviews for every model, ever since 1975.

This is a wonderful tradition and we all hope, that this is only the beginning of a fairytale, created with colors and passion!

  • What Do You Think of This Twilight Purple BMW 760Li?

BMW 760Li Front and Side ViewBMW’s 7-Series sedan is probably one of the most luxurious models currently available on the market. Undoubtedly it is the most luxurious car in brand’s lineup and being such this makes it very wanted in Abu Dhabi or Dubai … for example. The people there obviously have strange taste for colors, because we have just found on BMW Abu Dhabi’s official Facebook page those stunning (literally) pictures of a purplish 760Li.

I don’t think I’m capable of commenting the Twilight Purple exterior paint scheme, since I’m a girl and find it somewhat attractive (the color I mean), but … come on guys, isn’t it offensive to make this 7-Series look so inappropriate?

SEE ALSO: BMW Unveils the Stunning 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept [VIDEO]

Well, ok, despite the paint finish the other things about this car are rather cool. The first thing I see after exterior is the contrasting interior. The cabin was entirely wrapped in Opal White Merino leather and features here and there Piano Black trim.

In addition, the 760 Li has been fitted with the M Sports package for more exclusivity and better driving performance. For the entertainment of the passengers take care the Bang & Olufsen sound system as well as the 9.2″ monitors at the back.

V12 is what we have under the hood. The 6.0 liter engine is capable of producing 544 PS and 750 Nm (554 lb-ft) of torque, thus helping the car accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.6 seconds.

    Any thoughts?

  • Carlex Design with Another Fantastic Project: Z4 Rampant

Carlex Design BMW Z4 Side ViewBMW Z4 Rampant is the lane of the latest design project of the tuners at Carlex Design. They have become so famous because of their exquisite and detailed work. Just take a look at any of their projects and you’ll see what I’m talking about. This BMW is no exception. The car looks breath-taking due to its heavy customization.

    Exterior

The unique design of the first generation Z4 roadster combines perfectly contemporary shapes with the stance and structure of model. The exterior has been covered with a two-tone silver and grey foil, thus giving the car its unique visual appearance.

SEE ALSO: This is Carlex Design BMW M3 the Black Spinell!

What is more, the “outside” design is also characterized by the gun metal alloys and the custom front and rear bumpers. In addition, at the back we see the presence of a quad exhaust system and one-off carbon fiber rear diffuser.

    Interior

From the inside, the vehicle is even more heavily customized. The tuners have used exceptional aniline grade leathers that seem vintage, like the black Alcantara and buffalo leather for example. They have been complemented by hand painted carbon parts. Even the audio system was covered with paint.

This one-off combination of style, textures and colors perfectly matches the untamed spirit of the V8 engine under the bonnet of the Z4, doesn’t it?

  • BMW Unveils the Stunning 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept [VIDEO]

BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept - Front AngleBMW has just revealed the incredibly beautiful 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este meeting. As we told you already, the car is tribute to the historic BMW Coupé, famous in the 70s and its name, CSL, stands for “Coupé Sport Leichtbau”. The latter word is German and means lightweight, and there is a huge reason for that.

    Lightweight Body

The design team has centered on the idea of less weight. This is the reason why the car features aluminium bonnet, boot and wings, Plexiglas windows and only essential equipment. This puts off around 200 kg from car’s sibling model, the BMW 3.0 CS. In addition, carbon-fiber has been used thoroughly inside and out.

    Exterior

Athletic and powerful, the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage is defined by distinctiveness. The body has been elongated, stands on powerful wheel arches and features significantly big spoilers on the roof and tail.

SEE ALSO: BMW Creates a Car-Tribute To a Timeless Legend!

At the front, there is a front air, which vents the engine compartment. On the other hand, the wings over the rear wheels are what maximize the airflow. The characteristic for the company kidney grille here is somewhat different. It has been elongated, while its kidney struts give the front end an air of quality and exclusivity. Laser light and LED technology as well as the flat contours of the headlamps define the unique look of the car.

2015 BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept - Rear Angle View

Instead rear-view mirrors, there are rear-view cameras, which also help in terms of aerodynamics. The stretched silhouette is characterized by low stance, wide wheel arches and dark CFRP areas narrow the gap between the sides and the road. The black graphic accents, the dark lightweight elements additionally highlight the silhouette. The car rides on black or matt and high-gloss bi-colour 21-inch alloys, while the air control blades serve to optimize aerodynamics. Two systems, the Air Curtain and Air Breather, ensure that there is optimum ventilation of the wheel housings.

At the back, the huge spoiler optimizes the downforce on the driven rear axle, thus enhancing power transmission. The styling of the rear lights is unique. There is a LED strip above the spoiler that links the two lights. At last, the unique exterior color, Golf Yellow, contributes for the perfect stance CSL Hommage.

    Interior

2015 BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept - Interior

The interior of the vehicle features only the most important equipment because of the lightweight design approach. Almost everything inside is made from carbon fiber. However, the only wood-like presence is the instrument panel, which is a reference to the interior of the earlier BMW 3.0 CSL.

The small central eBoost charging display is positioned in the middle of the wooden instrument panel. The infotainment is very small and it finds itself on the central display on the steering column. Other cool features inside include the black Alcantara bucket seats highlighted by contrasting stitching, the six-point belt and red anodised safety features.

    World Debut

Here is a video of the official premiere of the car, which shows it in details. Although there aren’t any official details on the engine, the video shows it. Take a look:
