  • When one 600HP BMW is not enough, you make two of them!

    G-Power BMW M3 F80 and M4 F82 front viewG-Power BMW M3 (F80) and M4 (F82) deliver 1,200 hp combined output!

G-Power is one of the main companies out there which specialize in BMW tuning. There is no doubt that by doing so they make the enthusiasts happier than before. Adding to the excitement is the fact that the experts usually work with the M-Series… Just like in their latest project, which is an interpretation of the latest BMW M3 F80 saloon and the brand new M4 F82 Coupe.

Basically, both cars deliver a combined output of 1,200 hp, which means that the exact force of each BMW is 600 hp. To asses this achievement at its worth, we should mention that the cars are powered by the twin-turbo 3.0-litre unit, which produces as a standard 431 hp (317 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft).

SEE ALSO: Do not fear the Typhoon! Praise it! Meet G-Power’s BMW X6 M

You are now asking (probably), how the +169HP and the +190Nm were achieved. And to keep you off from the boring details, you should only know that the G-Power specialists have used their bespoke Bi-Tronik 2 V3 module. Also helping to increase the force are the larger diameter exhaust downpipes, which come without catalytic converters. The addition of the ultra-lightweight titanium exhaust system with carbon-fibre tailpipe ends also reduce the back-pressure.

    G-Power BMW M3 F80 and M4 F82 engine

How does this dramatic increase of power affect the performances of the M3 and M4? In terms of acceleration, the benchmark 0-100 km/h sprint is slashed to just 3.7 seconds. In other words, this is 0.5 seconds faster than stock. The top speed was unleashed via recalibration and now reaches over 320 km/h.

Chassis balance was also on the “to do list”, hence the fully adjustable GM4-RS coil-over suspension was added. The aero components couldn’t be avoided too, so here we see RS front spoiler, CS front splitter, rear diffuser and boot mounted spoiler. The latter only comes for the M4 Coupe.

Last but not least, a set of G-Power HURRICANE RR lightweight forged alloys, sized 21-inches and shod with high performance tires, fill out the big arches and complete the menacing new appearance of both BMWs.

  • G-Power BMW M4 F83 Convertible is world’s fastest cabriolet?

G-Power BMW M4 F83 front view G-Power is back this month with the exclusive announcement that they have created the world’s fastest BMW M4 convertible. And with its 600 hp this might be for real! Turning the M4 into a razor sharp weapon wasn’t an easy task. Using just their Bi-Tronik 2 V1-ECU remap, the stock output of the M4’s 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder motor (431 hp and 550 Nm) was raised to the impressive 520 hp (382 kW) and 700 Nm (517 lb-ft) of torque.

In achieving the 600 hp goal, the tuning specialists have combined hardware and software upgrades. As a result, the 600 hp (441 kW) are available at 6,500 rpm and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque between 4,000 and 5,500 rpm.

SEE ALSO: G-Power BMW M6 F06 Does its Thing with Almost 1000 Nm [w/video]

What is more impressive is the acceleration time achieved after the modifications. The G-Power M4 Convertible now leaps off the line, hitting 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds! And due to the removal of the electronic Vmax limiter, it easily goes up to 320km/h.

    G-Power BMW M4 F83 Engine

Who needs great soundtrack accompanying the uprated power? Everyone! That is why, the tuners added bespoke titanium ultra-lightweight exhaust system, which produces rousing ear candy from its four 90-millimeter carbon fibre tailpipes.

At last, for the perfect road manners, G-Power mounted their G4M RS fully adjustable coilover suspension, and a set of HURRICANE RR forged alloys coming in 21-inch size. They were fitted with 245/30R21 and 295/25R21 high performance tires, at the front and rear respectively.

  • Vorsteiner Releases One-Off Aero Program for BMW M4 F8X

Vorsteiner BMW M4 F8X Frozen Gray Side ViewThis Frozen Gray BMW M4 F8X is a very special edition of the model and this is due to the additional treatment it has received from the California-based customization company called Vorsteiner. The tuners have released aero program, which has been specifically developed for the M4, being one of BMW model range’s most highly respected automotive platforms.

We must also remind you that the BMW M4 does not joke when it comes to power.  Driven by its potent 3.0 Liter BMW TwinPower Turbo engine, it produces 425 horsepower (313 kW) and allows the vehicle to accelerate from standstill to 100km/h in just 4.1 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 155mph (250km/h). And this is the reason why many regard it as the best mid-range luxury performance coupe on the market today.

SEE ALSO: Vorsteiner Releases Aero Program for Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

To go into details, the aero kit comprises of the following components that have been all made in-house: V-FF 102 Flow Forged wheels, EVO Front Add-On Spoiler, GTS Rear Diffuser and EVO Rear Decklid Spoiler. The last three parts were made out of autoclaved 2×2 Pre-Preg Carbon Fiber and come with UV Inhibiting Clear Lacquer Coating for added protection. But if you are keen on seeing the fibers of the carbon, then you can order these parts in fully visible carbon fiber weave. And this will undoubtedly make your BMW look unique.

Vorsteiner BMW M4 F8X Frozen Gray Wheels at the Rear

At last but not least, we must say something about the highly contrasting Candy Apple Red wheels, since they are the first thing about this project that grabs the attention. They are of the Vorsteiner V-FF 102 model variant and have been custom painted. This is probably the best color, which accentuates the Frozen Gray exterior scheme of the BMW M4. In terms of size, the V-FF 102s come in 20×9.5 at the front and 20×10.5 at the rear. Due to their lightweight and contemporary multispoke design, they make a perfect accentuation touch for this M4’s aero outfit.

  • Carbonfiber Dynamics Releases Massive Update for BMW M4

2016 Carbonfiber Dynamics BMW M4 M4R Front ViewCarbonfiber Dynamics has done the impossible with this BMW M4 M4R project, which has been substantially modified and features new aggressive appearance, more power and enhanced handling. Starting with the front, the car includes carbon fiber Varis front lip that has aggressive look but that also increases the surface pressure on the front axle. The same material has been used for the VSDC light construction for the System-2 bonnet. Varis Carbon side sills and mirror caps were also installed to make the optical junction between front lip and diffuser.

Speaking of the diffuser it is also made of Varis Carbon fiber and covers the rear floor assembly together with exhaust system. This warrants more surface pressure on the rear axle. The rear also features new apron, adjustable Alpha-N Performance carbon rear wing and one-off Boca Design high-kick carbon rear spoiler.

Carbonfiber Dynamics installed a Burger Motorsport JB4 with fine adjustment and CANBUS command, eight different maps, turbo charger upgrade by TurboEngineers which features M4-charger TTE6xx with bigger CNC milled compressor, turbine with grinding, gap optimized compressor side, CNC milled compressor and turbine casing and CNC ported intake manifold.

The Akrapovic down pipe adds power of 23 hp (17.2 kW) at 5,800 rpm and 28.7 Nm (21.1 lb-ft) at 4,950 rpm. The aforementioned exhaust system with valve command and four 8 mm stainless steel mat end pipes give extra 6.5 HP and 4.5 Nm. Via software optimization the car eventually develops at least 700 hp (515 kW) and 827 Newton meters (610 lb-ft) of torque.

This power is transferred onto the road via new BBS platinum silver CI-R rims measuring 20 inches. The wheels are dressed with Toyo Tires Proxes T1 sports tires and this combination is perfectly complemented by the prototype of Bilstein B16 damp tronic coilovers serving as an active suspension solution for BMW-M4 chassis.

At last, the M4 M4R project is also equipped with the first Mov’it brake, which has 6-piston calipers and 392 mm friction rings on the front and 4-piston calipers and 380 mm friction rings on the rear axle.

  • B&B Automobiltechnik Shows How to Boost Performance of BMW M4/M3

B&B Automobiltechnik BMW M4 F82 Front ViewB&B Automobiltechnik has created a special comprehensive performance package not for one but two models of the BMW M family. We are talking about the M3 (F80) and M4 (F82), and the particular illustrated example is BMW M4 Convertible. The pack is broad and features a lot of tweaks for the engine and the handing. The main goal is to boost as much as possible the performance and driving capabilities of the car.

    How to Boost Performance?

If you have ever wondered about the ways to boost the performance of your car, here are some ideas that might be useful to you. In terms of software, B&B is offering a three-staged program, which uplifst dramatically the power and torque of the BMW TwinPower Turbo straight-six engine. As a standard the unit produces 431 hp (317 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque.

SEE ALSO: Power Boosts Define B&B Jeep Grand Cherokee

The intermediate Stages 1 and 2 uprate these numbers to 490 hp (360 kW) and 540 hp (397 kW), respectively, while the highest one uplifts the horses to 580 hp (426 kW) and the torque to 750 Nm (555 lb-ft). All three stages feature software adaptation for the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and removal of the top speed limiter.

    B&B Automobiltechnik BMW M4 F82 Engine

Next, additional performance boosts were achieved with modified turbochargers, higher-flow intake tract, larger exhaust downpipes, more efficient charge air cooler, and an ECU remap with revised fuel, spark and boost parameters.

But let me impress you with more details. In Stage 3, the M3 and M4 can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, in comparison to the standard 4.6 seconds. The 0-200-km/h time is reduced from 13.4 to 11.2 seconds, while the Vmax goes over 330 km/h.

Something you need if you add all of this inside your M4 is B&B’s thermostatically-controlled supplementary oil cooler system. It is recommended for all three engine upgrade stages, because it lowers thermal stress on the motor by reducing oil temperatures by up to 25°C.

    Handling And More…

    B&B Automobiltechnik BMW M4 F82 Front End

Boosts in performance require optimized handling. B&B offers various ways of doing it: a threaded height adjustable sport suspension kit (lowering up to 25 mm), set of sport springs (lowering up to 30 mm) and the super cool KW coil-over suspension. The latter offers ride height and damper bounce, thus substantially enhances chassis performance.

High performance brake system was added and it comprises of 396 mm and 380 mm vented discs. At last, rounding out this tuning are the B&B 9.0 and 11.0×20-inch alloy wheels shod with 255/30R20 and 305/25R20 tires.

  • Carbonfiber Dynamics Releases One-Off BMW M4 with 3DDesign-Bodykit

Carbonfiber Dynamics BMW M4 Front ViewBMW M4 and modified variants of its kind aren’t a rare publication in our blog. We know that there are a lot of crazy-about-BMW fans out there and this is why it is important for us to support your passion with more good cars of this brand. And this is why today we have prepared two. The first example is this M4 tuned by Carbonfiber Dynamics. By the way, if you are living in Germany and are near a city called Essen, then you should definitely go see this custom project. It will be exhibited until 6th of December at company’s stand at the Essen Motor Show.

One of the most captivating things about this car is that it features new body kit designed by the Japanese BMW specialist at 3DDesign. Of course, the kit is made of nothing else but carbon fiber, although it might be covered with paint here and there.

    The Details.

Carbonfiber Dynamics BMW M4 Rear View

The full body kit comprises of some special equipment worth mentioning. The front and rear aprons were substituted with carbon fiber ones, which were additionally partially painted. The other parts in the aprons were left uncovered and can be still recognized as the lightweight material.

The sides are governed by ‘gracile’ side skirts and, furthermore, the rear also received very effective rear spoiler on the trunk edge. All these elements reduce the weight of the car significantly and so are the brand new exhaust system and the rims. They were all produced by 3DDesign as were the hand brake grasp and the pedals in M4’s cabin.

Although this is a not abundantly modified project, we like it because of its simplicity and moderation. Want to share your thoughts about it?

  • G-Power and the Beautifully Uprated M4 F82 Bi-Tronik

G-Power BMW M4 F82 Bi-Tronik Front ViewG-Power rises again with a special tuning for the M3 and M4. The car depicted here is the BMW M4 F82, which has received a very special optimization for its powerful engine. And instead of its standard 431 horsepower it now shows a lot more! The upgrade happened via an in-house developed Bi-Tronik 2 V2.

The result: an output of 560 hp (412 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque. This conversion catapults the Bavarian to 100km/h from a standing start in just 3.8 seconds. If the Vmax limitation is removed, then the top speed could be raised to a theoretical 330km/h. In reality, the car will achieve around 310km/h.

SEE ALSO: G-Power Releases M6 Convertible Producing 740 hp and 975 Nm

The dramatically enhanced performance was proved via test runs on the dyno and real world testing on the autobahns and country roads. What is more, complementary to the Bi-Tronik 2 V2 package, G-POWER installed downpipes which minimize the exhaust back pressure.

Furthermore, the car was also equipped with G-Power titanium exhaust system with four 90-millimeter tailpipes. They are optionally available in titanium or carbon finish, thus saving 7.1 kg.

At last, we should say about the addition of 21-inch HURRICANE RR forged alloy wheels, which were shod with 245/30ZR21 and 295/25ZR21 Michelin tires. Don’t miss the thrilling video about the car and check out the gallery below.

  • Vision of Speed for the Latest BMW M4

VOS BMW M4 Front ViewVOS BMW M4: the first thing that we can say about it is that it received unique photo-shoot. You can view the high definition imagery in the gallery below. But this car is more than just pictures. Of course, the fact that it is based on the BMW’s latest M4-Series makes the project initially outrageous. Having this good basis, the specialists at VISION OF SPEED (VOS) carefully added some goodies. Let’s see what they have included.

    More Power for the Drivetrain

Without any enhancements, M4’s 3-litre inline six-cylinder unit produces 431 PS (317 kW), 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque, and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. This means pretty good performance, doesn’t it?

SEE ALSO: Meet this Custom Carbon Lamborghini Huracan by VOS

However, due to the addition of VOS-Performance upgrade for the engine, the experts have achieved new heights. The result is no less than 550 PS (404 kW) and 710 Nm (524 lb-ft) of torque, making an extra of 119 PS and 160 Nm. In addition, they have also unleashed the top speed and it now reaches 310 km/h.

Stability and Control for the new Horsepower

    VOS BMW M4 Side View

550PS are not easy to handle, so VOS decided to make the car more safe and stable, so that the driver can keep everything under control. For this purpose they have integrated Clubsport chassis version 3 and KW Suspensions.

The exhaust system was also changed, and the BMW now breathes through new stainless steel one that has valve-control, middle silencer and rear muffler. At the front axis we also see new Brembo brake system with six-piston-calliper as well as two-part 380×34 mm-racing-brake-discs. The rear axis received four-piston-callipers matched with two-part racing-brake-discs of 380x28mm.

    Enhancements for the Exterior

    VOS BMW M4 Rear View

Although there is not much done in terms of exterior tuning, we can still see the changes easily. They include new carbon mirrorcaps, carbon rear diffuser, wheels and tires. By the way, the alloys are manufactured by BBS and come in size of 20-inch. Vredestein-tires of 255/30-20 and 275/30-20 come into play at the front and rear, respectively. And this basically rounds out this project.

Now it’s time to take a look at the gallery and tell us what you think about VOS’ work.

  • BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition Individualized by TVW Car Design

TVW Car Design BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition Front ViewBMW M4 DTM Champion Edition was released back in October last year. If you remember well, then you should also know that this car was released to pay tribute to the DTM Champion Marco Wittmann. The car was released in 23 units only, which number isn’t coincidental but inspired by the number 23 on Marco’s championship winning racecar.

BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition is Tribute to Marco Wittmann

With all of its fantastic additional elements, it is very hard for comprehension that someone could want extra equipment. Precisely, to make the perfect tribute car, the exterior shade is in Alpine White, which mimics the Ice Watch on Marco Wittmann’s BMW M4 DTM racecar.

Just like on the racecar, the road coupe also received a bonnet, roof and boot lid finished in matt black and emblazoned with colourful stripes. There are also BMW kidney grilles outlined in orange as well as a decal set with lateral stripes, starting numbers, and flags and logos. Matt black 19-inch alloy wheels are also featured in the stock package.

SEE ALSO: BMW F82 M4 DTM Champion Edition

But this is not everything. Based on the M4 series, the vehicle also gets as standard M Performance collection components, including black front splitter, rocker blades, carbon-fibre front flaps, carbon-fibre door mirror caps and rear spoiler and diffuser inserts.

Furthermore, the production model also has very impressive interior, which features carbon-fibre trim on dashboard, centre console and steering wheel. The dashboard also wears the lettering “DTM Champion Edition” and the sequential number of this Special Edition. The special sill plates, that show how exclusive this car is, also carry the signature of the 25-year-old DTM champion.

TVW Car Design’s Work Adds More to This

TVW Car Design BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition Grille

Obviously, the experts at TVW Car Design received a customer, who whished his or hers BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition to get even more distinctive appearance. Starting with the alloys, they have been substituted with BBS FI one-piece forged ones in 20-inch size. Of course, they were fitted with corresponding Michelin Pilot Super Sport UHP tires.

The handling was also improved. The experts at TVW Car Design added KW’s Clubsport fully adjustable coil-over suspension as well as Akrapovic Evolution Line titanium exhaust system. The latter features carbon-fibre tail pipes, which are integrated into the carbon rear diffuser.

    Improved Power Output

TVW Car Design BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition Arkapovich Exhaust

The stock output of this BMW is 431 hp (317 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). M4’s 3.0-liter turbocharged straight six motor needed a little bit of boost achieved not only by the Akrapovic titanium exhaust system but also by the additional ECU increase. The result is impressive: 517 hp (380 kW and 700 Nm (517 lb-ft).

Maybe all of the mentioned modifications won’t appeal to everyone, since this is already a substantially modified production vehicle. However, TVW Car Design’s interpretation of the DTM Champion Edition offers a little bit different meaning than the stock M4 Coupe.

  • Vorsteiner BMW M4 Gets EVO Aero Kit

Vorsteiner BMW M4 EVO Aero Front ViewVorsteiner BMW M4 EVO Aero is the last one of the four Bavarians featured today. Next to the M4 Convertible, X6 and the 7-Series, this one will make the perfect cream of the joke. What is so special about it? Well, I like simplicity and the fact that it looks stylish enough. It has also has been revealed through several very good pictures, which you can view below.

Not to mention that it is an M-Series, meaning that it has to offer 425hp coming from its twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine. The unit is connected to a paddle-shifted seven-speed automatic that drives the rear-wheels. Furthermore, the M4 is originally made with a lot of carbon fiber infused in it, including the driveshaft, so this makes it even more attractive.

    Vorsteiner’s EVO Aero Program

Just like mbDESIGN’s M4 Convertible, this one comes out from the factory in Mineral White metallic exterior colour. So basically, this was the starting point of the tuners at Vorsteiner, who immediately decided to add an EVO Aero Program. Oh, and there are also some black graphic elements featured on the hood.

Vorsteiner BMW M4 EVO Aero Wheels

The aerodynamic enhancements comprise of aero front spoiler and Evo Deck Lid spoiler. The latter comes in contrasting black, and it is also good to mention that both parts have been made from lightweight carbon fiber.

  • mbDESIGN BMW M4 Convertible is Perfect For Hot Summer Days

mbDESIGN BMW M4 Convertible front viewmbDESIGN BMW M4 Convertible is not only perfect for the summer, because it is all about an open top experience, but it is also the first of the four BMWs that are going to be featured on AutomobilesReview today. Let me tell you about what you should expect: there is another M4, a 7-Series and a huge and aggressively looking X6. Well, there is also a Lambo and an Audi. But in general the day is mostly dedicated to the Bavarian car manufacturer.

BMW M4 Convertible or any convertible is probably the best choice for the hot summer days (sorry Aussies, I know it’s winter there). But if you don’t have a convertible you can always count on the air-conditioning. Now we are going to bring our attention more on the first case and imagine that we are actually owning and driving a BMW M4 Convertible.

Benefits of Driving an M4 … With Some Simple Additions

mbDESIGN BMW M4 Convertible Rear View

The first thing that probably many would do is contacting a customizer, so that their car could look even more individual. And in case they are not into big changes, then they will contact companies which specialize in the details. For instance, such are the experts at mbDESIGN, who are able to recognise their customer’s individuality and to respond to their wishes.

mbDESIGN have spectacular skills in making one-off alloys. And even more: this is perfectly visible via this M4 Convertible, which rides on 21-inch version of the VENTi-R Turbine Design. They come in gloss black and feature polished rim flange.

In other words, they perfectly contrast the 431 hp Mineral White metallic exterior of the M4 Convertible, which has been also fitted with factory Shadow Line optics. Inside, the leather seats are also special and are more in color-harmony with the alloys.

At the front we have 9×21-inch ET25 with a flush face, while the rear received 11×21-inch ET38 with deep dished centre. To make everything look perfect, mbDESIGN added 255/30ZR21 and 295/25ZR21Continental Sport Contact 5P tyres.

At last, we should say that there is this saying: “the bigger the wheels, the lower the right height”. So it is no surprise that the tuners decided to bring the vehicle closer to the ground with the help of 30 mm using H&R sport springs.
