  • BMW M3 GT2 Art Car at Norwegian cliff [HD video]

BMW actually brought a real M3 GT2 art car on the cliffs of Preikestolen in Norway. The car was airlifted after two days waiting for weather that would allow them to put the specially painted car by Jeff Koons.

There is no real reason for this strange photoshoot, but the photographer gathered all the visitors on the cliff around the car and done the pictures.

BMW M3 GT2 is a high-performance sports car created specially for racing at events like 24 Le Mans. It is powered by naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V8 with maximum output of 500bhp. The chassis is upgraded as well as the brakes and last, but not least, the whole car is much lighter. The performance is stunning – 0 to 160 kph in 3.4 seconds. For the 24 Le Mans race, the car is going to be labeled with the logos of Castrol, Crowne Plaza, Dunlop, Randstad, Sympatex, LuK, H&R, BBS and NGK for the race on the “Circuit de la Sarthe”.

  • G-POWER Work on a BMW 1M Coupe

G-Power-BMW-1M-Coupe-thumbG-Power-BMW-1M-Coupe-mediumA substantial upgrade for the BMW 1M Coupe is now available at G-Power central. There’s an increase in power, there’s a suspension tweak and there’s some eye candy.

The main point here is that now a 1M Coupe is more powerful than it’s bigger brother – the M3. That’s 435 horsepower and 590 Newton meters of torque (15 hp and 195 Nm more than the M3). That immediately takes us to the question of speed. The G-Power 1M eats up 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. The top speed has been upped to 300 km/h.

To achieve this, the guys at G-Power have had to optimize the flow with some downpipes to reduce the exhaust gas temperature. Further back, there’s a completely new exhaust system that’s 20 kg lighter than a stock one would be mainly because the titanium material used for it. The tail pipes also come in carbon. At the front there’s a larger intercooler and a special G-Power software (Bi-Tronic V3) that takes into account the newfound oily bits.

Suspension-wise, G-Power have worked hard to match the performance. A GM1-RS height-adjustable coil-over kit ensure overall stability. Then there are the 20-inch G-Power Silverstone wheels wrapped in Michelin tires with 255/30 ZR 20 and 295/25 ZR 20 dimensions front and rear respectively. From behind the double spokes of the front alloys, 396 mm brake discs peak out which get clamped by six-cylinder piston calipers whenever one stomps on the brake pedal.

  • BMW E92 M3 Crash [HD video]

Rear wheel drive and V8 in front is very bad combination, especially when the road conditions are severe. This is about to learn the driver of BMW E92 M3 in the video below. After fast overtaking of another vehicle on the right, the BMW runs into a large patch of water, causing the car to spin and hit the center divider. Although the BMW has an intelligent Dynamic Stability Control safety system, it can’t help wreckless drivers, who drive with over 100 mph on wet roads.

Despite the severity of the accident, thank God everybody in the BMW is OK and no one is seriously injured.

This accident is a perfect example why we should drive cautiously when the road conditions are not good, especially if we drive a powerful car capable of doing 100 mph in several seconds.

Check out the video below to see how € 72 900 car becomes a pile of metal in a second.

  • 2014 BMW M3 F80 [Render pictures]

More renderings of the upcoming BMW M3 F80 have been released by Bimmerpost. The sports saloon is extremely aggressive and stylish. It is expected sometime in 2014, but nothing is confirmed, yet.The car comes with aerodynamics package including new front bumper and apron, some styling elements from the anticipated 1M and the M6 – style air vents with fins at the top and an upwardly angled top line from the big coupe and styled air curtain vent styling and position from the 1-Series ///M.There are also double-slat grilles and a M3 grille badge, both in the style of the 2013 M6.A lot of these details can be incorporated in the new M3, but probably the look won’t be exactly the same.Check out the pictures below to see what the production F80 M3 may look like.BMW M3 F80 RenderBMW M3 F80 RenderBMW M3 F80 RenderBMW M3 F80 RenderBMW M3 F80 Render

  • Alpha-N BMW E92 M3 “Multifunction Toy”

Alpha-N-BMW-M3-thumbBeing awfully close to the Nürburgring, the guys at Alpha-N feel compelled to come up with something that will look good on the Nürburgring. That’s where this M3 comes into place. It’s been designed to appeal the people who spend their salary on petrol and track days.

From every angle it looks like a proper sports car – a carbon racing spoiler with vents that channel air to the brakes and a carbon rear diffuser that presses down the back end cooperatively with that giant back wing. Add to that a high-end competition chassis frame from KW and Superforgiata wheels that measure at 10×19-inches, wrapped around in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 265/35 R19 tires and you’ve got yourself a fearsome competitor.

All this sounds great but do we really need Recaro Pro Racer Hans bucket seats? Yes. Thanks to some engine management fiddling, a carbon fiber air box and some Akropovic piping the power is up by around 30 hp. That’s 450 hp of pure goodness coming from the M3‘s V8.

Still not convinced about the Alpha-N’s BMW being ready for the track. Up the stakes with carbon fiber doors and a carbon fiber hood and trunk. Put a roll cage in it and get ready to take the stand. The Alpha-N BMW M3 is already there and waiting.

  • Sexy Blonde High Speed Getaway Supercharged 620HP BMW M3 V8 [HD video]

Here is a very nice video by vividracing, who has combined two of the most desirable things on Earth – a sexy blonde girl in a tight black dress and a powerful Supercharged BMW E90 M3.

The car is boosted to whopping 620HP thanks to a VF Engineering supercharger kit. The M3 also comes with a complete Vorsteiner aero package including front and rear aprons as well as a pair of side skirts. Among the upgrades, you’ll also find a custom Lamborghini green Brembo big brake kit behind the enormous Volk Racing G2 wheels in dimensions 9J x 20” up front and 11J x 20” at the rear axle fitted with Toyo T1 tires 265/30 ZR20 and 295/30 ZR20, respectively.

Of course, nothing is mentioned about the “upgrades” of the blonde, but hopefully everything is natural.

    Enjoy the video!

  • BMW M3 Wrapped by CAM SHAFT and More

Cam-Shaft-Guerilla-BMW-M3-thumbA silver painted…sorry…wrapped BMW M3. It’s the latest work from the German based Cam Shaft company. And it’s not really silver if we have to be honest: “mat space-gray metallic” is what they’ve told us. The foil itself is from the brand Bruxafol and is described as Platinum Wrapping Film. All may sound like fancy talk, but underneath the Guerilla M3 (that’s how they called it) is not what you call ordinary.

No, this M3 is a complex blend of custom parts that bring up some of the biggest names in the business. Take the front apron for example. It’s from Racing Dynamics. The die sills are courtesy of Hamman Motorsport and the exhaust system comes from the guys at Akrapovovic. The whole car sits closer to the ground thanks to a variant 3 KW coil over kit and thus the 19-inch BBS-Le Mans wheels, which themselves are wrapped with 245/35ZR19 and 265/35ZR19 tires front and back, look as prominent as they can be. Even the interior has an additional touch of carbon and aluminum under the brand of Hartge.

It’s nice to see that Cam Shaft are not all about the wrapping. Substance is what matters to us most and we can’t complain about that here with the Guerilla BMW M3.

  • Vorsteiner GTRS5 BMW M3

Vorsteiner-GTRS5-BMW-M3-thumbWith a grand gesture of their own, Vorsteiner bid farewell to the E92 BMW series. It’s the latest generation of GTRS programes – the Vorsteiner GTRS5 for the BMW M3. It’s pretty much the same as the last one, the GTRS3, but Vorsteiner say that the difference is in the details.

The lower front bumper now has more vents for an even more efficient air-flow. The fins of the diffuser at the back longer than before thus providing greater downforce. There are also vertical vents on the sides of the rear bumper which now have carbon-fiber inserts – a fashion statement? Maybe, but Vorsteiner are adamant that the end product excels in performance. We’ll have to take their word for it.

    In a nutshell here’s the complete GTRS5 kit :

    • Carbon Fiber Front Bumper Integrated with Optical Carbon Fiber Chin Spoiler
    • Carbon Fiber Wide Arch Front Fenders
    • Carbon Fiber Extended Side Skirts
    • Carbon Fiber Wide Arch Rear Quater Panels
    • Vorsteiner Embroidered Floor Mats
    • Vorsteiner Chrome Trunk Badge Emblem
    • Vorsteiner VS-310 3-Piece Concave Forged Aluminum Wheels
    • Nitto Invo Performance Tires

Optionally, one can go for the:

    • GTS3 Carbon Fiber Vented Race Hood
    • GTRS3 Carbon Fiber Boot Lid
    • E9X M3 Titanium Sport Exhaust System

Only 40 examples will be seen on the streets ever so it’s exclusive as well.

  • 2014 BMW M3 sedan [render] – F80

Wildspeed has released a new version of the 2014 BMW M3 F80. The sports saloon features an aggressive design influenced by the more recent offerings by the M Division – the new M5 F10 and M6.There are a lot of rumors that the new M3 will come with a twin-turbo V6, which will ruin a lot of the car’s reputation, so probably the manufacturer will keep the tradition with an in-line six-cylinder power plant. The power will be around 435HP and 550Nm of torque, which will make it the most powerful M3 model.Other rumors say that the M3 saloon will remain unchanged, but the coupe and convertible body styles will be relabeled as the M4. This is not so important, but it will be good, if BMW AG divide the models. The new M3 saloon is expected to hit the market during the next year.

  • BMW M3 E46 with 450hp by G-POWER

G-POWER-M3-E46-thumbBy today’s standards, it’s an antique. A ten-year old dinosaur. A car that uses coal for fuel. Okey, so we got a bit carried over here. It’s the BMW M3 E46 – a generation before the latest one. Don’t be deceived though. G-POWER, the guys who got their hands on it, say it is now more powerful than the current V8 powered M3.

The performance package installed is called the SK I „SPORTY DRIVE“ and if the figures they give are correct, the word “sporty” is a massive understatement – 450 hp and 460 Nm of torque. That’s a straight six engine we are talking about here. None of the pistons have been changed or altered in any way and the exhaust system is pretty standard. It’s not witchcraft either. No, those additional 107 bhp come from a humongous ASA T1-518 centrifugal supercharger – proper racing tech all the way. With it the venerable M3 can get to 200 km/h in 14,7 seconds (a massive improvement over the standard E46 – 18,1 seconds.). Compare that to the 200 km/h time of the E90 and you get a full second in favor of the G-POWERed predecessor.

One would imagine then, that a more iron fisted stopping power is required as a compliment to the supercharger. Something more up to date maybe. That’s why the package also includes a set of 370 mm front and 342 mm back brake disks that get clamped by calipers that nest up to six brake pistons per wheel. The heat from the significantly bigger pads will be dissipated more efficiently once you exit a corner.

And yes, you would be doing a lot corners. Especially with that new bound, rebound and height-adjustable G-POWER coil-over suspension. Just be careful not to destroy those Michelin Pilot Sport tires that can, and will have to, endure speeds of up to 300 km/h. Probably it would be best just to keep the M in a garage and occasionaly marvel at them, wrapped around 20-inch G-POWER “Sileverstone Diamond” alloy wheels – prime example of how a 450 hp monstrosity can stay light on its feet.

As an optional extra, one can go for the G-POWER sports rear muffler – OEM standard product quality and four 76 mm pipes sticking out from the back. A car like that needs the sound to match the performance.
