Safety is the new sexy. At least, in Audi’s own eyes

Audi A3 Audi Q5 Good news for Audi lovers out there! The latest A5 and Q2 models have been awarded with top grades in the NCAP test! This confirms that both babes are not only super functional and sexy, but also can endure on any road challenge that threatens the safety of driver and passengers.

So, what impressed the judges? First of all, both vehicles offer superior adult and child safety all along with pedestrian protection features. The vehicles are geared with revised Emergency Braking system that was recently recognized as one of the best that Audi has ever made, Emergency Braking assist and Audi Pre Sense Suite. To be honest, these alone are enough to ensure a safe and comfortable ride, but Audi engineers did not stop here.

The Audi Pre Sense suite comes with system that scans the road for other vehicles, pedestrians and obstacles, using a windshield-mounted camera. Also, in case the driving speed is high and there are some obstacles in front of the vehicle, the autonomous brake will try to reduce or even prevent the crash and bring anyone in the vehicle back home without a scratch. Cool, isn’t it? Also, the Audi A5 features wide range of assistance goodies that further enhance the pleasure and comfort of driving. Such are the Collision Avoidance Assist, Turn Assist Monitors and more.

Audi is ready for 2018 season year: here are the main suspects

2018 Audi S5 Sportback There are some fresh Audi A5 and S5 Sportback models that will soon be part of brand’s premium lineup. These vehicles will be revealed at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show and what we know so far is not that much, but it already sounds promising.

These bad boys will feature new Sportback body styling, ample cabin space and more aggressive character. So, let’s see what else should we expect from these bad boys.

2018 Audi S5 Sportback

2018 A5 and S5 Spotback vehicles are no strangers to Audi’s body language. Both models will feature wider and flatter Singleframe grille and longer, but lower hood lines that emphasize the aggressive road character of the cars. Also, the wave-design shoulder line is more pronounced, compared to previous models and the wider wheel arches contribute to more massive stance.

In terms of interior features, the A5 will please customers and Audi enthusiasts with incredible attention to the details, numerous functional elements and cutting-edge technologies. There is a three-dimensional decorative inlay trim, climate control integration. As an additional option there is Bang & Olufsen audio system with 3D sound effect for all the music fanatics out there. Cool, isn’t it?

Also, just like its Coupe and Cabriolet siblings, A5 Sportback will come with the agile 2.0-liter four-cylinder power unit that is paired to a seven-speed S tronic dual clutch automatic gearbox. This combination generates a total output of 252hp (188kW) and 273lb-ft. The result is quite astonishing: 0-100km/h sprint ends in 5.7 seconds.

On the other hand, S5 Sportback is geared with a revised 3.0-liter TFSI V6 power unit and produces these massive 354hp and 369Nm of torque. These numbers result on a super short 4.5 second 0-100km/h sprint. This model will also come with an eight-speed TIptronic automatic gearbox, especially tuned to perform excellently in low-end torque revs.

Furthermore, both vehicles feature Quattro all-wheel drive system as a standard feature that offers enhanced agility, self-locking central differential with ratio of 40:60 front to rear and wheel-selective torque control.

Audi reveals new Black Edition models that will soon hit the market

2016 Audi Black Edition Models Audi will grant buyers and brand enthusiasts with new super cool Black Edition models to honor the increasing number of sold units. The design team aims to tweak the most preferable models: A3, S3, TT, TT Roadster, S6 and S7 Sportback babies. Also, later this year there will be a new member entering the Black Edition club: the new Q3 SUV machine. Sweet.

For A3 three- and five-door Sportback and Saloon units, the Black Edition upgrade grants fresh new 18-inch 10-spoke alloys with matt titanium finish and darkened privacy glass, there are also numerous dark tinted specification options and of course, many more darkened and blackened components from the interior and exterior. And let’s not forget the super cool exclusive Audi Sound System with a total of 180 watts that await to be unleashed.

On the other hand, S3 Black Editions come with new color-coding and sweet 18-inch five-arm Turbine design wheels. S3 Saloon will be receiving 19-inch five-arm Wing design wheels. Also, there is premium Bang & Olufsen audio system. Sweet, isn’t it?

These Black Edition goodies are also applied for the TT and TTS Coupe and Roadster models. The differences are modest: these two receive 19-inch five-spoke Blade design alloy wheels and additional wind deflector for the Roadster.

And the Q3 range? Well, this sweetie adopts the usual additions, but also adds some more spice with black styling 19-inch 10-Y-spoke design alloys and new metallic paint. All along with a BOSE audio system.

And last, but not least, S6 Saloon and Avant, along with S7 Sportback Black Editions will feature more menacing stance, thanks to the combination of 20-inch five-twin spoke alloys and 21-inch for the S7, piano black inlays, BOSE audio system and flat-bottomed multi-functional steering wheel.

The story of illumination continues. Now Audi shoots lasers from its eyes! [VIDEO]

2017 Audi R8 Audi lightning technologies strike again! From now on each 2017 R8 exclusive edition machines will be geared with special set of LED headlights that feature a special laser high beam module.

What is special about these is that each headlight contains one laser module, which operates with four high intensity diodes. These modules further bundle the diodes into a blue beam with wavelength of 450 nanometers. “So, what?!” you might ask. Well, this very same laser beam is transformed via a phosphor converter and produces super bright and white light ahead of the vehicle. Also, the R8 exclusive editions are the first to incorporate this technology. Sweet.

This new addition will be instantly recognizable by the slight blue light signature in the headlight housing. And as it comes to the beam itself, it will be activated at speeds above 40mph.

Definitely a leader in the automobile lightning technologies, Audi team does not stop to impress us. Remember the A8 L W12 back in 2004? And the all-LED headlight beast R8 in 2008? That’s what we are talking about! And hopefully this new technology will only be the beginning of new era of illumination!

Carbon Motors Team Reminds How Badass The 1980’s Were! Check This Bad Boy Out!

2016 Carbon Motors Audi B2 Coupe Carbon Motors team from Bulgaria showcases its latest and super interesting project: the vehicle as a wearable. Also, people can recognize this one as a throwback to the good ol’ 1980’s. The vehicle? Audi B2 Coupe. This is the street version of the super-legendary machine and it has undergone some incredible changes. First of all, the team has managed to do something incredible: the structure and appearance are as close as possible to the original, but at the same time people can see and actually feel the changes and modern additions.

The first eye-catching feature is definitely the color: it is exclusive Lava Orange finish that perfectly fits the nature of the vehicle. The second notable thing is the interior work: Carbon Motors designers have managed to create the perfect blend between orange Alcantara leather and black components. Further enhancing the exclusive atmosphere is the decorative stitching and the numerous hand-made additions. In fact, these additions do not aim to make the vehicle look fraught with stuff, but just the opposite: Carbon Motors have succeeded in manifesting the idea “less is more”. The cabin is super driver-oriented and gives off this neat and notable 80’s scent.

2017 Audi RS 3: it is sporty, elegant and agile. Check it out!

2017 Audi RS 3 Sedan Audi unveils the latest RS 3 sedan at this year’s Paris Motor Show! Definitely an eye-catcher, this sweetie has a lot to demonstrate. So, let’s waste no time and see what Audi team has prepared for us!

This is not only athletic in terms of drivetrain system. It also expresses confidence and sexiness with its body language. We see a Singleframe with a three-dimensional honeycomb grille, neat air intakers, of course, distinctive LED headlights, fixed spoiler lip and distinctive diffuser. When it comes to style, Audi team knows how it’s done. And This vehicle is no exception: it comes with confident stance, masculine expression and overall challenge-ready sporty character. We like it.

Interior

The cabin is dominated by dark tones and fine Black Nappa leather. It wraps the exclusive sporty seats and the sporty steering wheel. Also, there are many distinctive components and details as diamond-patterns, RS badges and distinctive inlays.

In term of convenience and comfort, the cabin is especially created to be intuitive and functional. There is incredible new infotainment system, neat 7-inch touch screen, two circular instrument dials in black and red and of course, the Audi Virtual Cockpit as an optional addition.

Driver and passengers will be happy to know that the Audi Connect and Audi Smartphone Interface are also present. Definitely handy goodies, these two will aid you with the navigation, entertainment functions and of course, tweaking vehicle’s road character. Oh, yeah. Drivetrain system

In terms of engine system, Audi presents new power unit with the unveiling of the car: it is a 400hp TFSI unit with 480Nm. Massive, right? Also, this bad boy aids the vehicle to achieve some outstanding performance results: the new RS 3 sprints from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in mere 4.1 seconds and from this impressive start it chases a top speed of 250km/h (155mph). Did I mention that this is a special 5-cylinder engine? Yes, this is correct. Welcome to the world of changes and innovations. The engine is paired to a fast S tronic seven-speed dual clutch gearbox that transmits power to all the four wheels.

The new RS 3 sedan is also proud to show its new and shiny safety technologies! The systems that will aid the driver and passengers include Traffic Jam Assist, Emergency Assist, Cross Traffic Assist and many more.

2017 Audi Q5: what should you be hyped for?

2017 Audi Q5 Audi officially presents the Q5 model year 2017. This SUV will incorporate some neat sporty drivetrain features, along with some comfort- and utility-enhancing interior systems and gadgets. We all doubt whether this is a good idea or not. So, let’s see what else has Audi prepared for 2017 and see for ourselves!

Of course, the vehicle is distinctive and immediately recognizable. It comes with curved and strongly undercut shoulder lines, strongly expressed wheel arches and straight horizontal side lines. At the back we see distinctive taillights and these super typical for Q models C-pillars.

Furthermore, the new Q5 will be offered in a total of 14 exterior colors. These include five that we not previously available. Also, Audi team offers optional equipment as sporty packages, design packages and purely stylish additions. Bottom line: this is 100% Audi styling. Distinctive and eye-catching without any unnecessary additions and tweaks.

Providing enough space for five people, the cabin is also wider and more functional, compared to predecessor models. One of the most notable additions is the new highly-efficient air conditioner that comes in two variants. There is also restyled steering wheel that can optionally be available with heating, just like the new seats. In fact, the seats can also be specified with pneumatic massage function. And for those who are afraid of the dark, or just want some coziness kick, there is an optional ambient lightning pack that can be specified with more than 30 different colors. Sweet.

Not only cozy, but also functional, the interior has a lot more to demonstrate. The rear seat is split into three segments and via folding and tweaks it can add about 60 liters of additional cargo space, going from the basic 550 liters to up to 610 liters. Sweet.

In terms of technologies and infotainment system, Q5 offers as optional goodie Audi Virtual Cockpit with a large 12.3-inch screen. Also, there is a MMI terminal as standard feature with navigation and additional information system and system about the automatic transmission system, if the vehicle is specified with such.

The driver assistance and safety systems

Driver and passengers should remain calm and relaxed, as it comes to Audi’s safety and comfort systems. There are Adaptive Cruise Control, Cross Traffic Assist Rear, Collision Avoidance Assist, Audi Pre Sense, Park Assist and more.

Geared with TDI and TFSI power units, this new Q5 is both agile and efficient. In fact, there are a total of five engine choices, four of which are TDI and the fifth one is TFSI unit. Power output ranges from 150hp (110kW) to the massive 190hp (140kW), depending on both engine and other drivetrain custom specifications.

These engines can be further paired to three different transmission systems: the stock six-speed manual, a more sophisticated seven-speed S tronic and an eight-speed titronic that is only available with the flagship egine unit (a 3.0-liter TDI monster)

Furthermore, customers can choose between two spring and damper additions. Both come with Audi Drive Select and adaptive suspension.

Audi TT S-Line Limited Edition: there’s more than fancy lights

2016 Audi TT S-Line Limited Edition Let’s talk about the new TT S line vehicles. As always, Audi team tries its best to deliver even better specs, performance rates and overall joy of driving. The additions include slight exterior styling tweaks, some more convenience additions for the interior and of course, improvements onto the drivetrain system. So, let’s see what is going on here!

Exterior design

Staying true to its styling language, Audi brings one more impressive addition to the lineup. This time the visual character of the vehicle is enhanced by a neat singleframe blade at the front, new exterior mirror housings and new diffuser in glossy black finish. Furthermore, the fixed rear wing also contributes to this beautiful and aggressive styling.

Also, the exclusive fine-tuned suspension not only brings some additional agility, but also lowers the overall ride height: we definitely like it. And to finish this suite of beauty and passion, engineers and stylists added new limited-edition 19-inch wheels in glossy black five-spoke design. Neat.

Interior styling

Here’s where things get interesting. There are numerous additions. Starting with new S sport seats with highly contoured side supports and adjustable lumbar, going through flat-bottomed S line contoured sporty steering wheel in three-spoke design and finishing with this vast thing, called Audi Virtual Cockpit. In fact, this infotainment system is offered with two large screens, exclusively for the limited edition.

What impressed us with this cabin was the incredible mix between sporty appearance and elegance. All this, topped with many personalization options. For example, seats and door armrests can be specified in combination of leather and Alcantara on in fine Nappa leather. Sweet. Some of the components, however, remain as Audi specified them: the inlays are in matt brushed aluminum, the air vents, clip around at the central console and the seat are in gray chrome finish. Nice.

There is not that much to be told about performance rates. They are simply massive. The TT S line comes with a 2.0-liter that produces a total of 230hp (171kW). It is paired to a six-speed manual or an optional S tronic automatic. Both of these gearbox systems deliver torque to the front wheels.

Audi is offering the special model TT S line competition outfitted with the 230 hp 2.0 TFSI engine. It is available as a front-wheel-drive version with six-speed manual transmission or S tronic, and as a quattro with S tronic. Prices for the TT Coupé S line competition start at EUR 41,940. The roadster version of the special model costs EUR 44,340 upwards.

2017 Audi TT RS revealed! There are new taillights! How original!

2017 Audi TT RS 400PS New Audi TT RS is about to be released! The latest addition to the sporty lineup will feature 400hp (298kW) via five-cylinder engine and it will be available for order in this November! Available in Coupe and Roadster body types, this one got our attention! Here’s why.

There are numerous additions to the latest guy in the lineup. First of all, the whole vehicle is lighter with a total of 26kig and features fresh new 2.5-liter TFSI engine with dual injection system and further improved fuel efficiency. Or, in other words, the power output is measured at 400hp and 480Nm of torque, which means 60 more horsepower and 30Nm of additional torque, compared to the predecessor model.

Also present is the seven-speed S tronic gearbox that not only reduces the overall weight with a total of 2 kilograms, but also delivers some agile ride, thanks to the 4 selectable driving modes: Comfort, Auto, Dynamic and Individual.

This goodie improves the suspension system and adds new dampers that are filled with special oil in order to adapt damper’s operating characteristics to the required profile in matter of seconds. Also, the lowered body ensures that the 19-inch wheels not only bring style, but also they fit the arches more amply.

The pack also contributes to the improved braking system. There are new internally ventilated and perforated steel discs with eight-piston calipers with 370 millimeters in diameter and monoblock discs at the rear, measured at 310mm.

Exterior styling

The TT RS impresses with its distinctive body language. There are large air inlets, Singleframe grille with restyled honeycomb lattice and of course, the Quattro logo. There are numerous body finishes that customers can choose among, including the new Nardo Grey and Catalunya red metallic. But if these do not satisfy the customer, he can have his exclusive paint job via the Audi Exclusive Program. Generally, what we have here is one neat-looking Audi machine with all of brand’s signature lines and curves, but also incorporating something fresh for the upcoming 2017 season. We tend to like it.

Also, there are some kind of new lights that Audi team heavily insists on showing to the audience. There are these new Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode lights at the rear that not only are shaped in brand’s famous logo, but also emit extremely homogeneus and high contrast light. This light can be dimmed, does not cast shadows and does not require any reflections. Cool.

Another milestone technological development is also available to enhance the exterior of the TT RS. It can be specified with Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) rear lights which make their Audi series production debut here. These advanced new lamps in 3D design comprise four wafer-thin units, the largest of which bears the TT logo and the four Audi rings. They emit an extremely homogeneous, high-contrast light which can be continuously dimmed, does not cast any shadows and does not require any reflectors, making them both efficient and visually impressive.

Interior Styling

The inside welcomes the driver and passengers to incredibly dynamic and sporty ambience. There are sweet sporty seats, wrapped in Fine Nappa leather, while the rest of the interior is dominated by Alcantara.

Of course, Audi’s virtual cockpit thing is present and can aid the driver via the large 12.3-inch display. This virtual thing displays mapping from the MMI navigation plus system, serves as Audi Connect Online projector, highlights Audi Connect features and of course, gives access to numerous Internet-based apps and websites.

Well, we all know how a RS7 model looks like: straight lines, massive proportions, eye-catching appearance and muscular stance. Along with it there are large and distinctive 21-inch Schmidt “Gambit” wheels and numerous carbon-fiber components. Definitely a piece of beauty. But let’s jump to the most interesting part.

PP-PERFORMANCE team has added numerous exclusive components: there is a special exhaust system named Evolution Line, created by Akrapovic in Slovenia, high performance BMC sports air filter, in-house AWD dynamometer MAHA-LPS 3000. And the most important improvement: the engineering team managed to bring alive a total of 745hp (555kW) and 1,008Nm of torque. Massive, isn’t it?

A sporty Audi hybrid? Yes, please!

2017 Audi A3 Sportback e-tron Audi of America refreshes the A3 Sportback e-tron and welcomes the latest member to the electric plug-in family. The compact A3 car offers some neat performance capabilities, blended with good efficiency and tons of technologies. So, let’s see what is going on here.

Benefitting from both electric and inner-combustion power, the sweetheart offers a total of 204hp (152kW) via a 1.4-liter TFSI power unit and 258lb-ft of torque. Long story short, A3 Sportback sprints from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in 7.6 seconds. Not bad, not bad at all.

So, what else makes this car appealing? There are more than 43.5 cubic feet of cargo capability and tons of sweet technologies: panoramic sunroof, rearview camera, LED daytime running lights, optional e-tron signature LED headlights (available with Premium Plus and Prestige trim levels), Audi Pre-Sense Basic and Audi Pre-Sense Front as standard. Sweet.

Audi announces details for the Q2 Edition #1: what’s so special about it?

2016 Audi Q2 Edition #1 Audi is ready to launch its new compact SUV and show why it is not afraid of experimenting. the Q2 Edition #1 comes in exclusive gray interior finish, black and Manhattan gray exterior details, stylish 19-inch wheels and long list of standard features. Eventual buyers can expect first deliveries in early September this year.

Q2 Edition #1 is based on the looks of the S lineup and features sporty bumpers and sills, distinctive diffuser and some exclusive additions: black blade on the C-pillar, black exterior mirror housings. And all this is topped with new paint finish, Quantum Gray. Sweet. And depending on the angle of light rays, the dark tone changes character from completely homogeneus to intense mix between light and shadows.

What we also know is that Audi will feature the Singleframe grile and bumpers, athracite black 19-inch wheels with five-arm rotor design, standard LED headlights and rear lights.

In terms of interior, the special edition will try to impress customers and Audi enthusiasts with height-adjustable sporty seats, leather-covered multifunctional sports steering wheel, heather pack and illuminated aluminum door sill trims. The standard dominating colors would be black and amaretto with slight accents of titanium gray.
