  • Audi A9 – details

    Audi A9 flagship 4-door coupe is based on the current A8, so that means that it will be over 5 meters long and the interior will deliver extraordinary good comfort. A9 is expected to hit the market in 2014 and there will be two variant – cabriolet and coupe. The price will be around €80 000, which is a bit expensive for a GT car.

    Audi A9 will compete directly against Mercedes CLS and Porsche Panamera.

    The body-style features an aluminum space-frame and source its main components from the MLB architecture. A9 will also have the air-sprung chassis architecture and the assembly line at Audi’s Neckarsulm plant.

    Another innovation is the newly developed engine – a 4.0 liter V8. The engine range will also include some V6s and V8s of the A8 range.

    The most powerful 6.3 liter W12 will also be available as an option.

    There is no further data for Audi A9, but one thing is for sure – It looks amazing!

  • Audi R8 GT US priced – $196 800

    Audi priced the new 2012 R8 GT at $196 800 for the US. The limited edition R8 will be created in just 333 units and 90 of them will be delivered in the United States.

    2012 Audi R8 GT is powered by Lamborghini’s 5.2 liter V10 FSI engine with 560PS, which is 35PS more than the original version. 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 320km/h (199 mph). R8 GT also features more carbon fiber body parts, so it is 180 pounds lighter compared to a standard R8.

    Other new features are the front grille, distinctive sideblade, trim parts in matte finish. The interior includes R8 GT logo and a numbered gearshift knob.

    Audi R8 GT is available in just two colors: Samoa Orange and this one on the pictures.

    So, R8 GT is a very expensive toy, but the stated price excludes $1 250 destination charge, taxes, title, options and dealer charges. However, if you still want an individual sports car from Audi, you’d better prepare more than 200 grand.

    ABT are ready with their tuning package for the new Audi A6. There are several performance packages for the 3.0 TDI engine as well as 3.0 TFSI. ABT also offers a complete body kit and big rims.

  • MTM R8 V10 Biturbo

    Audi R8 V10 Biturbo will be exhibited by MTM at the Geneva Motor Show in several days. The chrome exterior is a little bombastic, but it suits to the car perfectly.The tuned Audi is powered by 5.2 liter Biturbo V10 with 777PS (571 kW) and 888Nm (655 lb-ft). The top speed is 360 km/h (224 mph), but for now the sports car has managed to do only 347 km/h. (more…)

    Here is an interesting test made by Top Gear. You can watch the latest BMW M3 E92 against Audi RS5. Both are sport coupes suitable for everyday drive or time attack on race tracks.

  • Audi A8 L High Security

    Audi A8 L Security will carry some very important persons, when it go out.

    In fact, it is a standard A8 L, but with 720 kg of armour including armored steel, polycarbonate-coated multilayer glass, reinforced side sills and acres of aramide fabric. However, this is not everything – the door and window modifications add additional 660 kg. Thanks to these upgrades, the car is certified for VR 7 class ballistic protection.   • Pogea Racing Audi A7

    Audi A7 received another tuning package, but this time from the german tuner – Pogea Racing. The name of the project is “Seven Sins”.

    Besides the exterior package, the company also offers performance packages for the 3.0 TDI and the 3.0 TFSI engines.

    The 3.0 liter TDI Multitronic is boosted to 251PS (185 kW) and 468Nm (345 lb-ft), instead the factory 204PS (150 kW) and 400Nm (295 lb-ft).  The more powerful version of the diesel – 3.0 TDI S-Tronic is boosted all the way up to 289PS (213 kW) and 555Nm (409 lb-ft). (more…)
