  • K.MAN Audi R8 V8 Bi-Turbo GTK, GTK S and GTK RS

Chiptrick has unveiled their latest project based on Audi R8 4.2 liter V8. The name of the project is K.MAN and it is available in three powerful versions – GTK, GTK S and GTK RS. There are also some styling improvements as well.

Stage I – GTK – boosts the engine to 590HP (434 kW), which is an increase of 170HP compared to factory’s power. The GTK weighs just 1,680 kg (3,704 lbs), so it has a power-to-weight ratio of 2.85 kg/HP.

    Stage II – GTK S – offers 640HP (471 kW), a power boost of 220HP. The power-to-weight ratio is 2.64 kg/HP.

Stage III – GTK RS – has whopping 750HP (551 kW), an increase of 330HP. The power-to-weight ratio is impressive 2.27 kg/HP.

No words about acceleration 0-100 km/h, but it is around 3.0 seconds. Still, Chiptrick revealed information for 0-200 km/h times – GTK 11.9 seconds; GTK S 11.4 seconds and GTK RS 10.6 seconds.

Other highlights include Club sport chassis frame and a reinforced brake system for the top-of-range GTK RS. There is also a manual gearbox for all performance stages.

Optionally, K.MAN also has a wide range of carbon and GFK parts for those who prefer a little extravagance, and this allows K.MAN to offer individual identities from “cautiously different” up until the radical “DTM looks”.

  • 2018 Audi A9 Concept By Daniel Garcia

    2018-Audi-A9-t2018-Audi-A9-651.3

The new Audi A9 which is coming in 2018 is planned to be the most luxurious and at the same time the most expensive model that the company has ever created. The concept is designed by Spanish designer – Daniel Garcia. It is going to be something you’ve never seen before and it will take the game to a completely new level.

The model will follow the basic lines of the current Audi Sportback, but at the same time it will use the modular building block platform (MSB) used in models of Bentley, Lamborghini and Porsche in a way the audience has never expected.

The A9 is equipped with a one-piece roof and windscreen, both made of nanotechnology materials creating the typical bold and innovatory outlook of the series. We are expecting professional details like original leather seats, wooden insertions and a brand new upgraded technology. The exterior and interior are described as a masterpiece of the modern age.

The driver will be able to change the opacity and the color of the vehicle with a single push of a button thanks to the nanotechnology embraced in the new A9. As you may already suggested it will be more than well equipped with the latest gadgets, high quality materials and perhaps an internal-combustion engine accompanied with four electric motors.

The new Audi offspring will be a bit naughtier by using a 3.0-liter TFSI engine and a V8 engine with a full power output of 500 horsepower. An option with a hybrid powertrain will be available as well. It will consist of a gasoline engine and an electric motor generating around 500 horsepower.

There are rumors that the A9 will offer both four-wheel and rear-wheel, but the possible transmission stays a mystery. The basic model will be launched in 2015, but in the process of development will be launched many more versions of A9.

The debut should be by the end of next year, and model will most probably be released during 2016. A coupe and convertible variants will cost around $100,000, while the sedan is raising the bar to $150,000.

  • 2015 Audi A3 Sportback e-tron Goes On Sale

2015-Audi-A3-Sportback-e-tron-THUMB2015 Audi A3 Sportback e-tron is a five-seater, plug-in hybrid, delivering zero emissions while on the run. The car will go on sale from the beginning of August and all deliveries are expected to happen from January next year. The electric power of this vehicle makes it possible to achieve 176.6mpg and CO2 emissions of 37g/km. It has a combined output of 204 hp (150 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of system torque. In addition, the car is capable of reaching the 100 km/h from standstill in just 7.6 seconds. The Vmax here is 137 mph. What is also important to mention is that A3 Sportback e-tron furthermore can travel up to 31 miles under purely electric power and speed of 81 mph, while its total range is of up to 584 miles.

This spacious five-door hatchback is driven by the combination of the 1.4-litre TFSI petrol engine and an electric motor. The modified unit has a peak power output of 150 hp (110 kW) and it is connected by a clutch to a 75 kW electric motor. The latter is integrated into a six-speed S tronic transmission that sends power to the front wheels. As already mentioned the combined power of those two units is 204 hp (150 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft).

There are several ways for managing vehicle’s response. Precisely, four key settings take car for this: the EV mode, which gives priority to electric drive; the hybrid auto mode that is perfect for long journeys; the hybrid hold mode that keeps electrical energy stored in the battery for later use; and the hybrid charge mode, which utilizes the combustion engine as a generator to charge the battery.

When the driver chooses a particular mode it appears on the powermeter’s display in the instrument cluster. There can also be seen system’s overall output and the battery charge, the operating ranges and consumption figures.

Audi has implemented in this car its ultra lightweight construction philosophy. The result is that the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron weighs only 1,540 kilograms. Furthermore, it features comprehensive additional equipment such as LED headlights and daytime running lights, special ‘turbine design’ 17-inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, light and rain sensors, MMI navigation plus with hard drive-based mapping and Audi connect online services.

There are two charging leads developed for the A3 Sportback e-tron. The first one is appropriate for public charging points, while the second one – for domestic use. The charge status of the A3 Sportback e-tron can be also monitored via smartphone with the e-tron app. More importantly, using a domestic socket it takes four hours to fully charge the battery of the car. When a wallbox is connected or a public charge point is used, the charging time is reduces to two hours and fifteen minutes.

    2015 Audi A3 Sportback e-tron has a starting price of £34,950.

  • MTM Audi RS Q3 2.5 TFSI quattro

MTM-Audi-RS-Q3-THUMBMTM Audi RS Q3 2.5 TFSI quattro has nothing to do with the original Audi Q3. The latter was more similar to a good family car then a sports one like this MTM creation. It is equipped with powerful engine is setting new standards. The reason for this is that it can produce 410 hp (302 kW) and 570 Nm (421 lb-ft) of torque. These numbers are due to the new modified engine management system – the M-Cantronic for the RS Q3 2.5 TFSI quattro, was specifically developed, built and installed at MTM.

Precisely, it is capable of 4.3 seconds acceleration time for the 0-100 km/h sprint. The top speed was also uprated and it is now 270 km/h. The M-Cantronic performs all it magic at the front end, which in turn has been optimized by an exhaust system tuned to the five-cylinder engine. There has been also added carbon fibre rear diffuser.

The front axle also includes drilled and internally ventilated 380 x 34 mm MTM brakes. The rear axle is served by the tried and tested production system. Furthermore, the appearance of MTM‘s latest creation is improved by Michelin tyres: the 275/35 R 20 Pilot Super Sport.

They were fitted onto the 9X20″ Bimoto wheels, and generously fil the wheel arches. At last, adaptive MTM chassis package gives the right balance between performance and comfort.

  • Audi Launches 2014 RS6 Avant Plus?

2014 Audi RS6 Avant was unveiled back in December 2012. The standard engine of the car is downsized twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 TFSI which produces a peak output of 560 hp (412 kW) between 5,700 and 6,700 rpm, and a constant 700 Nm (517 lb-ft) of torque between 1,750 and 5,500 rpm. With this unit the car needs only 3.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. We have just understood from our colleagues at GTSpirit that Audi is planning to introduce to the market more powerful version of the 2014 Audi RS6 Avant.

According to them, a dealer based in the UK has leaked the official details about the updated model. The uprated RS6 Avant Plus will be powered by the same engine, however it will be boosted to deliver up to 600 hp (441 kW), which means a 40 hp.

Next to the engine modifications, the car will also get improvements in terms of agility and handling. Probably this will be achieved via weight-savings. Another exciting fact that has also leaked is that the new RS6 Avant Plus will be a full production model.

Of course, some cosmetic treatments are also expected to happen. For instance: badging and interior enhancements. Given that the information on the 2014 RS6 Avant Plus has already leaked, we think that the official details from Audi will be disclosed shortly.
