  • Senner Tuning Gives Audi A8 Additional 76 Horsepower

Senner-Tuning-Audi-A8-THUMBAudi A8 has always been one of the most luxurious and desirable cars, since it was introduced to the automotive market. In fact, according to a recently published study, the A8 is the ultimate dream car for Germans. But even these facts can’t keep the tuners at Senner Tuning from exploring the optimizing potential of this Audi. The particular car on which they have worked is the 4.2 litre V8 model.

The external modifications include the exchange of the standard wheels for Oxigin14 Oxrock rims in the “Black Full Polish” finish. They come in the format 10×22 inch all round and are coupled with Continental Sport Contact 3 tyres in the dimensions 265/30R22. The standard air suspension has been lowered via DLC lowering module from KW. Due to the utilization of a WLAN module, the lowering of the air suspension can be individually adjusted using an iPhone application.

As mentioned, the A8 is powered by the 4.2 litre V8 engine, which produces as a standard 321 horsepower (236 kW) and 445 Nm (328 lb-ft) of torque. Here, Senner Tuning found the optimization potential and increased the power to 397 hp (292 kW). In addition, the maximum torque number also got bigger to the 477 Newton meters.

The tuners has spotted an interesting side effect after the performance increase: in spite of this additional performance, the A8 uses on average between 1.5 and 2.0 litres less petrol per 100 km. At last they have rounded the performance intervention by two new sport air filter inserts and a power converter.

The exhaust gases are processed by an in-house stainless steel exhaust gas system, which features a presilencer with a 100 mm end pipe to the right and left. The exhaust system has an EU operating permit (ABE) and produces great sound. The final step was to give the luxury car red painted brake calipers and LED number plate lighting.

  • Meet the 2016 Audi A6 Range

2016 Audi A6 range has been shown in all its glory, refined and enhanced in terms of styling, equipment, engine performance and efficiency. There cars have undergone various styling revisions, xenon headlamps have been added as a standard for the SE versions, LED headlights for the S line, and the Matrix LED lights are optional for the A6 and S6 and standard for the RS 6 Avant. There are also interior improvements and upgraded infotainment system. The many gains of the new A6 will be also shared by the 2016 A6 allroad, S6, S6 Avant and RS 6 Avant models.

Precisely, revisions have been made to the Singleframe grille, the air inlets, the bumpers, the side sills, the rear lights and the tailpipes. A very exciting highlight here is the addition of xenon headlamps as standard on the A6 SE trim levels. The LED headlights and the dynamic ‘sweeping’ rear indicators are a no-cost option for the S line versions and above.

The Matrix LED headlights incorporate clusters of LED bulbs that can be individually dimmed when sensors detect oncoming or following traffic to automatically divert their beams around obstacles. They are optional for all A6 and S6 variants and standard for the RS 6 Avant.

The spacious interior, which in the Avant is combined with a 565-litre load bay, features new Lunar Silver upholstery and headlining colour choice for S line versions. There are also subtle detail enhancements, including an upgrade from dual-zone to deluxe four-zone climate control, new gear lever designs and additional chrome detailing.

The upgraded infotainment system now features MMI navigation plus and Audi connect elements. Furthermore, the range of driver assistance systems is topped by adaptive cruise control with stop & go function, Audi’s side assist, active lane assist and night vision assistant.

The engine line-up for the 2016 A6 and A6 Avant will comprise four TDI engines with either four or six cylinders and either single or twin turbo charging. The most efficient engine is the 2.0-litre TDI four-cylinder which produces 190 hp (140 kW) –and will power the Saloon and Avant. This powerplant returns up to 64 mpg and 114g/km of CO2 emissions.

The trio of 3.0-litre six-cylinder TDI ‘clean diesel’ engines begins with a single-turbo V6 unit. This one produces 218 hp (160 kW) and is followed by a 272 hp (200 kW) variant. At the top of the range stays the 3.0 TDI clean diesel biturbo, which generates 320 hp (235 kW). The last engine is coupled with an eight‑speed tiptronic automatic transmission. All other engine variants are linked to either a six‑speed manual gearbox or a seven‑speed S tronic twin-clutch transmission.

Furthermore, sports suspension has been lowered by 20 mm as a standard for the A6 S line, while this is optional for the SE model. The Audi drive select dynamic handling system is standard. Next, the 2016 Audi A6 allroad Quattro is based on the A6 Avant. This model features a raised body accentuated by wheel arch extensions and stainless steel protectors. It rides on adaptive air suspension with allroad-specific settings and is powered by three 3.0‑litre V6 TDI engines.

Unlike the previous mentioned models, the 2016 Audi S6 and S6 Avant use the 4.0-litre TFSI petrol engine. This is a twin turbo V8 unit which generates 450 hp (331 kW), and can accelerate the Saloon from rest to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, and S6 Avant – in 4.6 seconds. Standard equipment in these models include quattro permanent all‑wheel drive incorporating sports differential and adaptive air suspension and matt black brake calipers grip the front discs mounted behind the 19‑inch wheels.

The top of the A6 family remains the RS6 Avant, which is also driven by the aforementioned engine. This car accelerates to 100 km/h in a mere 3.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 189 mph. An eight‑speed tiptronic transfers the power from the twin turbo V8. The RS adaptive air suspension lowers the body by 20 millimetres, while the large brake discs feature a weight-saving wave design, and the wheels measure 20 inches in diameter.

A powerful Audi TT RS Mk.2 Revo Technik Stage 3 is the new star in Unlimited 500+ drag racing series. The compact sports car is powered by a 2.5 liter turbocharged five-cylinder TFSI engine originally delivering 360HP (265 kW) and 465Nm (343 lb-ft). The Revo Technik Stage 3 version is boosted to 530HP (390 kW), which appears to be enough to beat extremely powerful vehicles.

In the first start, the TT RS Revo Technik won versus a Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1 V&S / IPS Motorsports with 850HP (625 kW). The Audi crossed the finish line (1 km distance) in 19.255 seconds with 266 km/h, while the Chevy needed 20.961 seconds with 271 km/h. The ¼ mile times are 10.465 seconds with 216 km/h and 12.155 seconds with 211 km/h, respectively.

In the second start, the less powerful Audi was versus BMW M6 F13 Coupe PP-Performance Stage 2+ with 720HP (529 kW). The Audi won again – 19.263 seconds with 265 km/h (1 km) and 10.442 seconds with 213 km/h (1/4 mile), while the BMW finished in 21.397 seconds with 266 km/h (1 km) and 12.404 seconds with 206 km/h (1/4 mile).

It very interesting, that the tuned TT-RS has almost the same power output as the recently unveiled Audi A3 Clubposrt Quattro Concept powered by the same engine, but with 525HP (386 kW) and 600Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque.

  • 2015 Audi TT Gets A-Grade Evaluation

2015 Audi TT has received A-grade evaluation. The new model benefits from emissions reduction of 11 per cent compared with its predecessor, while the increase of power is also substantial, namely – up to 14 per cent. In this way, Audi has made significant step in minimizing the whole-life impact on the environment. The increase in power output and the simultaneous decrease in greenhouse gas emissions contribute towards new life cycle assessment.

Basically, each car of the third-generation TT saves around 5.5 tonnes of greenhouse gases over its entire life cycle. And we are not speaking only of carbon dioxide, but also of other substances such as methane, nitrous oxide and halogenated organic emissions.

Many technologies have contributed for this positive change. This first one is the lightweight construction of the car. Thanks to specific combination of materials, Audi engineers have, for the second time in a row, succeeded in reducing the TT’s weight.

Back in 2006, the engineers managed to achieve up to 90 kilograms weight savings. Now, the front-wheel driven 2.0 TFSI Audi TT, weighs just 1,230 kilograms and this means that the car is around 50 kilograms lighter than its predecessor.

The intelligent lightweight construction and the weight reduction of the 2015 TT also have an impact on the vehicle manufacturing process. Precisely, the saved greenhouse gas emissions in this step are around nine per cent. Audi also states that the new generation car offers a better life cycle assessment right from the very first mile.

  • MTM Squeezes Extra 60 HP From Audi S3 2.0 TFSI quattro

MTM-Audi-S3-2-0-TFSI-quattro-THUMBMTM tuning company is mainly famous with the power enhancements that it makes. Being German based, MTM is favoring mostly locally created vehicles. In fact, the philosophy of the tuners is not to leave a single car exiting their performance centre without being sportier and superior. Such is the case with its latest project which involves the Audi S3 2.0 TFSI quattro, be it a Cabriolet, Saloon or Sportback. The brand new 2.0-liter TFSI engine hidden under the aluminum hood of the Audi includes direct and indirect injection, clever thermal management and exhaust manifold integration.

The standard figures of the powertrain are 296 hp (218 kW) at 5,500 rpm and torque of 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) starting at 1,800 rpm. The unit is coupled with a six-speed manual gearbox. The S3 Saloon is capable of reaching the 100 km/h from standstill in 4.9 second. The MTM mechanics tweaked the engine and now it responds powerfully to the new engine management system.

Precisely the new numbers speak for themselves: the output has been raised up to 360 hp (265 kW), while the torque – up to 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). The result is a decrease in 0-100 km/h time sprint, which MTM unfortunately did not disclose. The top speed was increased up to 250 km/h.

Next, MTM added to the S3 new four-pipe stainless steel exhaust system that delivers sonorous sound. In addition, to decelerate the vehicle appropriately from 250 km/h, MTM installed brake system measuring 380×34 mm on the front axle.

There are several options of the wheels and rims for the S3: Nardo edition rims or Bimoto wheels. The dimensions are also selectable, starting from 8×18 inches to 9×20 inches. The customizations specialists have also considered MTM performance suspensions, which ensure sporty superior swagger. The adjustable coilover suspension systems included were developed in collaboration with the professionals at KW.

  • Monsoon Grey Audi Q5 Wide Track by A. Kahn Design

Kahn-Audi-Q5-Wide-Track-Monsoon-Grey-THUMBMonsoon Grey Audi Q5 2.0 TDI Quattro Wide Track by A. Kahn Design is the latest creation of the British tuners, which ultimately shows their capacity of customization and expertise. Although they are more famous with projects involving vehicles from the brand Land Rover, this Q5 confirms that there are literally no limitations for them. The mid-size SUV is the perfect car for urban driving. It is a dynamic vehicle, which not only offers plenty of legroom, but also has style and powerful stance.

The first striking thing about Kahn’s Audi Q5 Wide Track is the exterior color, which is adorned with a Monsoon Grey paint finish. At the front we also see a replacement of the bumper. This provides a potent look to the front fascia and fits in nicely with the extensive muscular front and rear wheel arches.

Then, the specialists installed a new set of sports lowering springs as well as a new diffuser replacement with integrated stainless steel quad exhaust sits stacked on either side. With this step they have lowered the vehicle, which goes perfectly with its bold wheel arches.

The wheel arches on the other hand were further highlighted by a set of 9.5 x 22 Kahn RS600 wheels in Matt Gun Metal. Behind them we see painted brake callipers. The interior of this Audi also got some fresh makeover. Both the front and rear seats now feature a soft quilted and perforated red leather with contrasting stitching.

  • MR Racing Restyles Audi A7 3.0 TDI Sportback

MR-Racing-Audi-A7-Sportback-THUMBMR Racing Audi A7 Sportback 3.0 TDI is also called the Blue Wonder. The tuners at MR Racing decided that it is time to make a project involving the A7 Sportback and make it even more elegant and extrovert. For a sportier look, they have added aggressive front apron, which we have seen on the RS7 model. Then, the initial exterior color of this Audi was covered with full foil application in matte blue metallic. To highlight further the foil, the experts added matte black and golden accents on it.

To harmonize the exterior additionally, MR Racing have chosen 10×20-inch Emotion Wheels Concave rims in matte gold. The elegant single-piece units were then fitted with Pirelli P Zero Silver tyres in the dimension of 265/30R20.

An electronic KW DLC-kit was added, which permits varying and programming the driving and standing height of the factory-side air-suspended chassis via iPhone-app. Behind the wheels, the tuners added 400/370 mm brake disc of the ceramic brake system.

Next, the power of the 3.0 TDI engine was optimized viasoftware. The result is an increased output from 204 hp (150 kW) to 299 hp (220 kW) and torque from 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) to 612 Newton metres (452 lb-ft).

This Audi was also added a sound generator, which was adjusted to the A7 3.0 TDI exhaust system. It is a special construction with an adaptation module, which gives the common rail self-ignitor the sound range of the large V8 models.

MR Racing did not left the interior untouched. For instance, the tuners added a multifunctional sports steering wheel with a flattened bottom in combination with in-house aluminium switching rockers. There is also a 15-inch ceiling screen in the rear area and a module for watching DVD and TV. The final element that completed this customization are the soft foot mats with the MR Racing logo.
