Volkswagen presents the new Multivan

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has finally revealed the new Multivan, the vehicle with elegant design, super flexible interior, and plug-in options.

The Multivan is the current replacement of the Caravelle model, and provides customers with a total of 7 seats and ensures the perfect balance between practicality, comfort, and safety.

Exterior design

The Multivan features an elegant exterior design and pays homage to the classic 1985 Transporter T3 with its horizontal lines and full-width grille and headlights. The A-pillars have been refreshed to improve visibility, and the front and rear light signatures contribute to this contemporary look. Furthermore, the front air intakes are now smaller and they also pay tribute to the heritage of the rear air-cooled engines of the 80s.

The vehicle can also be specified with a panoramic glass roof, with LowE laminated safety glass, and numerous more custom features. Furthermore, the Multivan is fitted with LED headlights as a standard feature, but can also be geared with the optional IQ.LIGHT – LED matrix.

Interior design

Inside, the Multivan provides enhanced flexibility and space, thanks to the special seating system and the innovative table.

This multi-functional table has been specially designed for the Multivan and can be moved between any of the seating rows, and also can be used as a central console between the front seats. This is a completely removable table with adjustable height and features cup holders and a storage bin.

Also, because of the completely flat floor, the seating setup can be amended in any way possible, which gives tons of possibilities for customization and convenient setups for any kind of job.

Drivetrain system

The drivetrain system of the new Multivan is based on the MQB platform and offers a total of 2,000kg of towing capacity.

Furthermore, the Multivan eHybrid is geared with a 1.4 TSI 150hp power unit and an 85kW electric motor that together generate a total of 218hp output.

The front-wheel-drive Multivan can also be specified with two four-cylinder turbocharged petrol units: 1.5 TSI 136 PS and a 2.0 TSI 204 PS. A four-cylinder turbo diesel, and a power output of 150 PS, will join next year. All of these are twinned with a seven-speed DSG gearbox as standard.

Audi reveals new A3 and S3 model lineups

Audi of America announced two new models that would mark the brand’s technical evolution – the new A3 and S3. The first one, the A3 blends cutting-edge technologies with neat exterior and interior design. As it comes to the new S3, it amplifies the sporty character of the A3 with a high-performance setup.

Exterior design

The A3 demonstrates a bold design language with a wide stance and overall aggressive presence. The front demonstrates a bolder and wider Singleframe grille with a honeycomb design and neat headlight design.

As it comes to the S3, it is also wider and longer than the predecessor and is definitely more aggressive-looking than the A3. The vehicle comes with heightened RS-influenced looks and an elegant Singleframe grille design. At the rear, the neat quad exhaust tips provide a menacing roar and are larger than previous models. Also, the optional Black optic pack can further enhance the sporty appearance of the vehicle.

Drivetrain system

New Audi A3 comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder TFSI power unit with 201hp and 236lb-ft of torque. This unit is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch S Tronic gearbox and provides smooth and responsive performance. Also, for the first time on an A3 model, Audi has included a standard 48-volt mild-hybrid unit.

The all-new S3, on the other hand, delivers neat 306hp and 295lb-ft of torque via a large 2.0-liter four-cylinder TFSI engine. It can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in mere 4.5 seconds.

Additional technical features for the S3 include a fine-tuned suspension with damper control and a modular dynamic handling control unit that links to the Quattro AWD to the Electronic Stability Control.

Interior design

For the A3, engineers ensured a driver-focused cockpit with numerous intuitive technologies for a pleasurable driving experience. The front seats are heated and can be adjusted in numerous ways. Also, the panoramic sunroof and the three-zone climate control ensure comfort and convenience for all cabin passengers.

The S3 front seats are also heated and eight-way adjustable. The cabin is also entirely focused on the driver and offers fully integrated technology available.

Both vehicles come with Audi’s flagship infotainment system with a 10.1-inch MMI touchscreen and MIB 3 system with handwriting recognition, paired with a standard 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, or the optional 12.3-inch virtual cockpit.

Additional standard features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone incorporation, Audi phonebox wireless charging, as well as MIB 3 infotainment system.

Kia Sorento is named Best Large SUV by Diesel Car & Eco Car magazine

Diesel Car & Eco Car magazine has named the new Kia Sorento “Best Large SUV” in the annual Top 50 list. The vehicle managed to beat the competition with its elegant design, functional interior, and advanced drivetrain system.

In fact, this was not the only Kia that impressed the judges – Sportage, Ceed, and Niro also scored excellent grades and placed 27th, 32nd, and 39th respectively.

The new Sorento was launched back in late 2020 and is offered a choice of engines that can suit a large number of customers. These include Plug-In Hybrids and Diesel options. The vehicle is praised not only for its advanced drivetrain system but also for its practicality – Sorento has ample space for seven occupants and ample luggage space.

Nissan announces further details for the new Pathfinder model

Nissan announces more details for the upcoming Pathfinder lineup.

The vehicle will demonstrate a new and elegant design with neat curves and elegant lines, and some massive proportions, and an overall muscular stance. Further features include an all-new 9-speed automatic gearbox for a smooth and direct throttle response and a revised Intelligent 4WD system with 7-position Drive and Terrain Mode selector.

Further enhancements include a 6,000-pound maximum towing capacity and flexible interior setup – the vehicle can free up space for 8 people. Speaking of the interior, occupants will benefit from advanced connectivity technologies and a new 10.8-inch Heads-Up Display, a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, ProPILOT Assist and Navi-Link.

A limited run of 1,500 First Edition EV6 vehicles have been fully reserved the day the offer became available on Kia’s official website.

The First Edition can be specified with a choice of three gifts – a home vehicle charger, a 1000kWh credit within the national charging network, or an Apple Watch for connecting to the vehicle’s suite of Kia Connect services.

The First Edition models also come with three color combinations – Urban Yellow with black seats, Glacier white with dark green seats, and Steel Gray Matte with black seats. Furthermore, the Urban Yellow exterior color and dark green seats on the Glacier variant are exclusive only to the First Edition lineup. Jaguar reveals details for the new all-electric I-PACE

The new 2022 Jaguar I-PACE is the first all-electric performance SUV from the premium automaker and comes with a revised drivetrain system, tons of technological features, and quick charging capabilities.

Since its debut, the vehicle has won numerous prizes, including the 2019 World Car of the Year and the World Car Design of the Year that further reinforce Jaguar’s positions as one of the leading automobile manufacturers in the world.

With a dedicated electric motor for each axle, 2022 I-PACE produces exceptional performance and generates a total of 394 hp and 512 lb-ft of torque.

Exterior design

The design is characterized by a new Atlas Grey grille tip finish, muscular stance, and elegant lines. Hyundai vehicles take several awards at the Good Housekeeping’s Best New Family Cars event

Four Hyundai vehicles were featured at this year’s Good Housekeeping’s Best New Family Cars for 2021. The brand is recognized for the new Kona as Best Compact SUV, Accent as Best Subcompact sedan, Sonata as Best Midsize sedan and new Sonata Hybrid was recognized as Best Hybrid sedan.

The experts from the Good Housekeeping Institute joined forces with Car and Driver in order to honor the best machines and options for every type of modern family. There were hundreds of vehicles attending the competition, but only a tight list of finalists was considered for winners.

New Volkswagen Golf GTI takes home a prestigious award

Volkswagen of America announces that the 2021 Golf GTI has earned Good Housekeeping’s “Best Hatchback” award in the “Best New Family Cars” competition. Working with experts from Car and Driver, the Good Housekeeping team has managed to evaluate hundreds of vehicles, test drive them and narrow down the list to only the most advanced and reliable ones.

Furthermore, the Good Housekeeping team has worked with Car and Driver’s automobile experts in order to handpick the most advanced participant as the winner. Both teams have taken safety, road behavior, and technology into account when evaluating the participating vehicles.

After all exams were over, Good Housekeeping named the 2021 Golf GTI “a fun-to-drive car that’s responsive and athletic, a nimble hatchback that has good cargo space for its size,” and noting that the new 2022 model is expected to deliver “even more power and sleekness than previous models on an already attractive build.”

The hatch managed to stand out from the crowd thanks to its advanced technology, refined drivetrain system, elegant styling, and overall fun-to-drive character. McLaren will present new Artura at the first edition of the Milano Monza open-air motor show

McLaren Automotive will have a major presence at the Milano Monza Motor Show held between 10-13 June. Located in the fashion capital, the Autodromo di Monza, the McLaren team will display the all-new Artura.

The latest McLaren vehicle will blend the concepts of art and the future and will showcase a vehicle with high performance in mind, which also blends elegant and futuristic design. Furthermore, the vehicle will showcase TexLux interior trim, carbon-fiber accouterments, and ten-spoke super-lightweight alloy wheels. This new design approach will reflect the brand’s advanced and futuristic design language, but also remain true to some classic McLaren styling approaches.

In terms of performance, the new Artura will be able to accelerate 0-100km/h in 3.0 seconds; 0-200km/h in 8.3 seconds; and 0-300km/h in 21.5 seconds, thanks to its all-new 120-degree twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 power unit, generating a total of 680PSand 720Nm and the compact 94bhp axial-flux E-motor.

Here are some of the neat Ferraris showcased at an exclusive Silverstone Auctions event

Silverstone Auctions attended National Ferrari Owners’ Day at Sywell Aerodrome where they hosted their dedicated marquee sale of Ferrari vehicles. The Auction house had a neat sale with millions of worth of deals achieved. The event was a huge success and showcased a837 Ferraris and about 1,800 people attended the event.

Throughout the day a number of beautiful vehicles were sold. One of the most notable automobiles was a 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia DCT. This one has celebrity provenance behind it and comes with a rich equipment and comprehensive service history.

Another vehicle, the 2003 Ferrari 575M Maranello F1 has caught the attention of the audience with its impeccable condition and a double-dose of celebrity provenance. An elegant 1996 Ferrari F355 GTB, which presented immaculate condition and low mileage was also showcased and found its new owner at the event.

Furthermore, a number of Ferrari Dinos also were on display. Especially popular were the 974 Ferrari 246 Dino GTS – RHD Factory ‘Flares’ Car, 1972 Ferrari Dino 246 GT – Matching Numbers – just one of 488 and with less than 35,000 miles from new, a 1971 Ferrari Dino 246 GT with very few miles since a full engine rebuild, and a 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GT.

Vauxhall presents details for the new Grandland SUV. Check them out!

Vauxhall revealed the new Grandland – a revised version of the popular SUV, which offers elegant design, innovative infotainment technologies, and an electrified powertrain.

What is special about this vehicle is the fully digital Pure Panel that offers drivers an advanced digital experience with two dedicated widescreen displays. Vauxhall’s SUV flagship also features some neat new technologies and assistance systems like the adaptive IntelliLux LED Pixel Light with 168 LED components.

Exterior design

The arrival of new technologies is complemented by a new and elegant exterior design with clear lines and elegant curves. Accents are set by the bumpers, wheel arches, and side panels, which are now painted in body color. Also, the new Grandland is available with a two-tone body paint scheme.

Interior design

The cabin design is focused on the ease of use of all the techs and controls. The vehicle offers a fully digital driver-focused experience and provides a cozy interior ambiance.

Furthermore, Grandland sets new and high standards of comfort via the ergonomic active seats, certified by AGR.

The Grandland also features an infotainment system with the full incorporation of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Drivetrain system

Continuing Vauxhall’s electrification strategy, the Plug-In Hybrid version offers neat performance and emission-free driving, thanks to the electric motors or motor (depending on the trim level). Also, the vehicle can be specified with a preferred propulsion system – from efficient diesel and petrol engines to an electrified plug-in hybrid.

In terms of driver-assistive technologies, the new Grandland offers Highway Integration Assist, 360-degree panoramic camera, automatic parking assistant, Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, Drowsiness Detection and Cruise Control.
