1991 Lamborghini Diablo – Test by Jay Leno

Lamborghini Diablo had been produced from 1990 to 2001, when it is replaced by the spectacular Murcielago. The true classic supercar – 1991 Lamborghini Diablo is a “guest” in the latest episode of Jay Leno’s Garage.

The words can’t describe this incredible car featuring exceptional Italian craftsmanship. It is powered by a 5.7 liter V12 48-valve engine featuring dual overhead cams and computer-controlled MPFI (multi-point fuel injection). The power is epic (considering the age) – 499HP (367 kW) and 580Nm (428 lb-ft) of torque. 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph). It has a RWD (rear-wheel drive) layout with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Other features include fully adjustable seats and steering wheel, electric windows, an Alpine premium audio system and power steering from 1993 onwards. ABS (anti-lock brake system) was not initially available, but the manufacturer eventually installed it.

The option list was short and included a custom-molded driver’s seat, remote CD changer and a subwoofer, rear spoiler, factory fitted luggage set and an exclusive Breguet clock for the dashboard.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Night Package

Mercedes-Benz has announced the Night Package for the new C-Class W205. The manufacturer will get orders from the next month and first deliveries are expected not earlier than September, this year.The Night Package will be available exclusively for the AMG Line trim and will bring upgrades such as black chrome tailpipes, glossy black diffuser, dark tinted rear and sinde windows, lacquered high glossy black mirror frames, high-gloss black double-slat grille, black anodized window frames and a glossy front splitter.Other highlights include black accents to the 18” and 19” AMG wheels, while the upcoming C-Class Estate S205 will also get black anodized roof rails. The C-Class Estate will be unveiled by Mercedes-Benz on May 23^rd.The engine range of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class includes C180, C200, C300 and C400 4MATIC petrol variants and C180 BlueTEC, C200 BlueTEC, C220 BlueTEC and C250 BlueTEC diesels. For the first time, there will be two hybrid models – C300 BlueTEC HYBRID and C 350 HYBRID Plug-In.

BMW Introduces 7-Series Edition Exclusive

2014 BMW 7 Series Edition Exclusive is enhancing the range of luxury vehicles in BMW’s “garage”. The new limited edition vehicle comes right after the introduction of BMW 7-Series Horse Edition that was specifically intended for the Chinese market and introduced at Auto China this April. Edition Exclusive will be available for the BMW 7 Series Sedan and the BMW 7 Series Sedan with extended wheelbase. It will be introduced to the markets this summer.

The car delivers the typical for the German company supreme elegance, luxury and driving pleasure. It is painted in metallic paintwork exterior and rides on 19-inch light-alloy wheels in V spoke design. This design was exclusively created for this particular model.

The interior of this vehicle features exclusive Nappa leather trim. The instrument panel is also finished in leather. As an option BMW offers the available BMW Individual all-leather trim Merino fine grain and the BMW Individual Alcantara roof lining.

Edition Exclusive can be combined with all engine variants. For instance, BMW 760i and BMW 760Li are powered by the twelve-cylinder petrol engine – TwinPower Turbo V12. The latter accelerates the Sedan from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds. The powerplant is coupled with an 8-gear Steptronic transmission that keeps the revs low even at high speeds.

Silverstone Auctions: 1964 Ford Mustang 1/2 Coupe

1964 Ford Mustang 1/2 Coupe is going to be auctioned at Silverstone Auctions on 24th of May. The vehicle is one of the earliest production runs of the iconic car. In fact, this muscle car is considered as the purest of all Mustangs. More importantly, it is very rare car with a price tag estimated between $23,764 to $30,562 USD (£14,000 to £18,000). This particular example was originally built at Ford‘s Dearborn Michigan plant on 26th of June 1964.

Another interesting fact is that this Mustang still houses its original 260CI V8 Engine matched with the original Cruise-O-Matic transmission. The car was ordered and then produced with one-of-a-kind array of factory fitted options.

Some of them include power steering, power brakes, rally-pac and AM radio with rear speaker. The extremely rare Studio Sonic Sound System is also present in the equipment. The exterior of this Ford is painted in Rangoon Red color, while the interior is in Red Beauty color.

The auction of this car comes amid the 50th anniversary of the original Mustang as well as the launch of a new 2015 Ford Mustang. Thanks to its incredibly beautiful looks it has become one of the greatest American cars of all time and a symbol of a nation.

1964 Ford Mustang 1/2 Coupe was introduced to the world on 17th of April 1964 at the New York Worlds Fair. At the same day Ford secured over 22,000 orders. Honda Concept B And Spirior Readied For Production

Honda Concept B and Honda Spirior Concept were exhibited and shown for the first time at Auto China in April. Honda is now announcing it plans to introduce a mass-production model based on the Concept B in two years. On the other hand the market introduction of the production Spirior is scheduled before the end of this year, which means that we are soon to expect more detailed information about the car.

The Concept B is a five-door vehicle, which was developed specifically for the customers of the Chinese market. It has advanced looks and cool-looking exterior design. In addition, it offers excellent practicality. These qualities are realized via its compact hatchback style.

Moreover, Honda has disclosed that the development of a mass-production based on this concept model is currently in progress. It will be introduced to the market in two years.

The other world premiere at Auto China made the Spirior Concept. Spirior model was firstly introduced in 2009, and since then it has been providing the joy of driving with its advanced technologies.

Again, the car targets primarily by younger customers who live in urban areas and who pursue individuality. The new Spirior achieved significant advancements in exterior design, dynamic performance and technologies as well as safety features. With this individualistic and fun-to-drive model, the Japanese company is striving to set a new benchmark in the sporty sedan category.

Audi R8 LMX To Feature Laser High Beam Lighting As Standard

Audi R8 LMX is the limited edition version of the new R8, which is the most powerful road-going version of the super sports car ever built. It is also the first production car to adopt laser high beam lighting as standard. The LMX is based on the V10 plus model and is equipped with high-revving, mid mounted ten-cylinder engine. It also sports double wishbone suspension and Audi Space Frame aluminium body. The model is a true limited edition which will be produced in only 99 examples.

The V10 engine generates 570 hp (420 kW) and 540 Nm (400 lb-ft) of torque. The acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is estimated at only 3.4 seconds before topping out at 198 mph. The powetrain is coupled with a compact, seven-speed S tronic transmission, which transfers the power to the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system.

The latter distributes it to the racing-inspired 19-inch, 20-spoke wheels matched with tyres with 215mm front and 305mm rear widths. These conceal carbon-fibre ceramic brake discs with red anodised calipers measuring 380 mm in diameter at the front.

The light emitted by laser beams is blue. This has inspired an Audi exclusive Ara Blue, crystal effect customized paint finish for the new R8 LMX. Other exterior paint finishes include Daytona Grey matt or Mythos Black metallic paint finishes.

The car is also marked out by a large, fixed rear spoiler for increased downforce on the rear axle. The additional utilization of carbon fibre-reinforced polymer (CFRP) for the front spoiler lip, side flics, engine compartment cover, exterior mirror housings, sideblades, rear wing and diffuser is also present. Titanium grey color has been used for the singleframe grille and front air intakes and the outlet grille at the rear. As a contrast, the sports exhaust system includes high-gloss black tailpipes.

Inside, the bucket seats are upholstered in Fine Nappa leather and finished with Sepang Blue diamond stitching and backrest covers in Ara Blue. Sepang Blue diamond stitching also adds contrast in the Alcantara headlining and black Fine Nappa leather door trim panels. The same color is also sewn into the edges of the parking brake lever, centre tunnel console, steering wheel and instrument cowl.

Audi R8 LMX also features matt carbon covers for the centre tunnel console and parking brake lever. Illuminated aluminium inlays bearing the limited-edition number are integrated into the CFRP door sill trims. Fine Nappa leather is used for the S tronic sector lever and the knee pads, while the floor mats have black piping and Sepang Blue stitching.

What is more important here however is that this Audi model is equipped as a standard with company’s revolutionary laser high beam lighting. A laser spot for the high beams increases the illumination range substantially, which is ideal for a supercar like the R8 LMX.

Furthermore, this combination of LED and laser high beams will be used for the first time on the new Audi R18 e tron quattro at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The race will start on 14th of June. To go into details, in the new laser high beams, one laser module per headlight generates a cone of light with twice the range of the all-LED headlight.

Each module comprises of four high-power laser diodes, which generate a blue laser beam with a wavelength of 450 nanometers. Then, a phosphor converter transforms this into roadworthy white light. In addition, a laser spot that is active at speeds of 37 mph and above, supplements the LED high beam in the R8 LMX. At last, an intelligent camera-based sensor system detects other road users and actively adjusts the light pattern to avoid dazzle.

2015 Kia Sorento – Best Family Vehicle in the US

2015 Kia Sorento was named Best Family Vehicle by the Northwest Automotive Press Association (NWAPA). This happened during the annual “Mudfest” competition in Snoqualmie, Washington. More than 20 NWAPA automotive journalists evaluated vehicles on an autocross course as well as paved and moderate off-road routes during the two-day event and selected winners in five categories.

“The U.S.-built* Sorento is one of Kia’s most popular vehicles and sports dynamic and sophisticated design elements, inside and out,” commented Michael Sprague, executive vice president of sales and marketing, Kia Motors America.

“Winning the Best Family Vehicle by NWAPA is further validation of the Sorento’s appealing blend of all-around style and capability with an abundance of safety features.”, he added.

2015 Kia Sorento comes with powerful Gasoline Direct Injected (GDI) V6 engine, a high-style interior, next-generation infotainment system and Kia’s Blind Spot Detection system. There are four trim levels including – LX, EX, SX and SX Limited.

Options in the 2015 Sorento include a programmable power liftgate, panoramic sunroof with a one-piece, power-operated shade, integrated 2^ndrow sliding sunshades, available dual ventilated air-cooled front seats, a 115-volt power inverter, and illuminated door handle pockets.

2015 Chevrolet Tahoe And Suburban Exceed Sales Expectations

2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban were introduced in September last year and are currently available on the market. They are once again proving why they are the segment leaders. Precisely – the demand for the updated SUVs is outpacing expectations. Back in the 1935 Chevrolet created the SUV segment with the Suburban model. Since then, the vehicle has been the sales leader in the full-size SUV market. Now, nearly 80 years after its introduction, the average turn rate (or how quickly it takes a particular vehicle to sell after it is delivered to the dealer) is 17 days for the Tahoe and 10 days for the Suburban.

2015 Suburban and Tahoe has been redesigned and refined, thus delivering improved quality, advanced technology and increased fuel efficiency. They still keep their impressive towing capabilities.

The revamped SUVs have received special attention to their interior quietness. In other words, they feature new inlaid triple-sealed doors as well as safety technologies such as forward collision alert and lane departure warning. To go further into details, their LTZ trim levels come standard with LED daytime running lamps, third-generation of magnetic ride control, real-time damping system that ensures more precise body motion control. 2015 Ford Mustang Hits European Market [video]

Ford is going to hit the European market with the all-new 2015 Mustang on May 24^th. During the UEFA Champions League Final, the manufacturer will receive orders for the sports coupe.

Ford has been an official UEFA Champions League partner since 1992. This year the Final in Lisbon, Portugal, is expected to attract a Europe-wide audience of 70 million football fans and 165 million people around the world.

Initially, the new Mustang is available as a coupe in a Race Red or a convertible in Magnetic Silver. The engine range includes a 2.3 liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine – 309HP (227 kW) and 407Nm (300 lb-ft) of torque or a powerful 5.0 liter V8 with over 426HP (313 kW) and 529Nm (390 lb-ft).

The standard equipment includes black leather upholstery, heated and vented front seats, GPS satellite navigation and 19” alloy wheels fitted with low profile tires.

“The arrival of the new Ford Mustang in Europe is an event that deserves the biggest possible stage. We hope that making the first models available to order at the exact moment the Final kicks off will ensure a reach which matches the significance.”, commented Roelant de Waard, Ford of Europe vice president of Marketing, Sales & Service.

MEC Design Ferrari 458 Italia

MEC Design has unveiled their latest tuning project based on one of the best super cars on the planet – Ferrari 458 Italia. It comes with a number of styling upgrades and a complete sports exhaust system.

Outside, the tuned 458 Italia features a Scossa Rossa body kit including a new front lip spoiler, “spoiler corners,” extended side skirts and a three-piece rear diffuser. The kit starts from €6,900, but all parts can be purchased separately.

Other highlights include a set of lowering springs and a sports exhaust system that delivers an apocalyptic noise. There are different types of wheel / tire sets ranging from 20” to 22” depending on customers choice. This particular model comes with a 9.5J x 21” at the front and 12.5J x 21” at the rear fitted with 245 and 345 tyres, respectively.

The interior comes with some new carbon fiber elements, special sill plates and MEC-branded floor mats. The steering wheel features carbon and leather.

Piecha Design Mercedes-Benz A-Class AMG Line

Piecha Design has announced their tuning package for Mercedes-Benz A-Class AMG Line W176. The hatchback comes with a number of styling upgrades at decent price.

The exterior boasts splitters in graphite gray (€183), front – Cup – Wings (€440), a new rear diffuser (€714). There are also new exhaust tips with quad design (€572). The tuning company offers a complete sport exhaust system for €1,287. Last, but not least is the set of Piecha rims with wheel/ tyre combination with 235/35 R19 to 8.5J x 19” front and 255/30 R19 with 9.5J x 19″ rear. There is also a specially developed sport suspension (€238). Optionally also the variant with a wheel / tyre combination 235/35 R19 to 8.5J x 19” front and back selected. Wheel set price is available on request.

PIECHA Design has once again shown an extra ordinary and creative solutions on how to make a standard vehicle into a unique PIECHA Mercedes. The tuning specialists are preparing a spectacular newcomer which will join the PIECHA GT -R Family!

As a reminder, the top-of-range Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is powered by a a 2.0 liter turbocharged petrol with 360HP (265 kW) at 6,000RPM and 450Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque at 2,250RPM. 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited). The engine is mated to an AMG SPEED SHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission with three driving programs, double-declutching function and Race Start.

Edo Competition Enhances Porsche 991 Turbo S

Edo Competition Porsche 991 Turbo S is simply exceptional! It combines the highest functional quality, perfect craftsmanship and an accomplished design in one form. For the new 2014 Porsche 991 Turbo and the Turbo S models, Edo Competition has developed an exclusive tuning programme. The result is a more individual car that has enhancements regarding the exterior, interior, chassis and engine. Edo Competition has developed sports shocks provide for even more sporty driving pleasure. They can also enable a lowering of the chassis by up to 30 millimetres.

Furthermore, a completely redeveloped, one-piece and ultra-light forged wheel set delivers both functionality and sporty elegance. Of course these numbers can speak of a stunning acceleration time. The modified Porsche covers the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in only 2.8 seconds. In comparison, the production model covers it for just 3.2 seconds. The top speed has been raised from 318 km/h to 327 km/h.

This car has a brute sound, which is being developed through the newly designed sports silencers with tri-alloy catalyst converters. They are made completely from stainless steel. Other design enhancements feature new grille sets, enameled brake calipers and individualized interior.
